Atmosphere
Super clean and convenient location for grabbing public transport or walk to downtown.
It would have been great if the bunk beds had individual lights for night reading.
Welcoming and knowledgeable
Everything was great
It’s feels cozy
HOSTEL VERY WELL ORGANIZED. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY. GREAT LOCATION FOR YOUR HOSTEL. VERY WELL ORGANIZED FOR LATE ARRIVAL.
SILENCE HOURS SHOULD BE FROM 11 PM UNTIL 8 AM. NO MUSIC AFTER 11 PM———-WE COULD NOT SLEEP.
VERY WELL ORGANIZED.

The location was great with only a 20 minute walk to the convention center. Numerous restaurants and tavern within easy walking distance.
Mattresses squeaked an awful lot with every move made on them. But other than that, great stay with courteous staff and facilities.
The staff were great. Place was very clean. The location was great.
The bunk bed I slept on made a lot noise if you slightly moved.

If you're looking for a place to stay thats near downtown area it's the place to be. Also it was my first time ever staying in a hostel and didn't know what to expect but I ended up making friends before having to travel back! Also the pricing is great if you're not looking to spend an arm and a leg on a hotel
The staff are excellent. Sophia was a babe who couldn't do enough for you
My bed, it wasn't comfortable and it rocked all over the place and squeaked louder than my snoring had a better nip on the floor of the cinema room lol but that's said a great hostel
I arrived very late (3am) due to train delays, and there was no problem to check in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Free luggage storage.
There were no sockets, by the bed.
Location, vibe, people and staff.
Though it was clean, the design of bathrooms were quite inconvenient. The hostel could be too noisy sometimes. Cancellation policy is not that flexible.
Extremely convenient location for the parades in Mardi Gras.
Two things that bothered me and made my stay a bit less awesome - they played music all day long inside and outside. So when you’re sitting on the porch you’re being forced to listen to music. The other thing, and this is a really big one because I am a very light sleeper, their metal double bunk beds are extremely squeaky so when anyone moves in their sleep or changes position, it is LOUD and wakes me up. I must have woken up 20 times in one night. It’s a great value but this is one thing that will keep me away from this place. If I can’t get decent sleep I will have to find someplace else. I was told that the building they own next door has really nice solid wooden bunk beds. Perhaps they can invest in those for the entire property. Maybe the owners need to try to spend a night in the dorms with the metal bunks and see how disturbing it is.
Sofia was very helpful. But the hostel is understaffed. There was a renovation at make baymthrooms. And I had to wait for several times. The location is nice.
The beds are a bit squeky
Everything! I have traveled all over the world and Auberge is my most favorite place to stay in the world ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely nothing
Great location I've stayed a few different times always clean and comfortable. Friendly staff

Excellent hosts, and encourage guest conversations and activities, so although I was there alone, it felt more like I was traveling with a group of friends, and I got to explore the city at night with a group instead of going out alone.
As with any shared room situation, you can't really control what your roommates are like. There isn't really good places for your stuff inside the room, and a couple girls were not spacialy aware, with their stuff all over, including in the way of me getting up to my bunk. More the fault of the couple girls, and not the hostel.
Kitchen was everything we needed. Bathroom was great to shower in and clean and stocked. The TV room was comfy and cozy. Would recommend to friends and family.
Some of the guest were rude and unfriendly.
Personal is very friendly, price is very friendly, location is good
Airconditional was very cold.
Honestly the place has potential, but some of the so called staff needs to be replaced. NO HEAT in the winter at night. It got cold. The AC units were high up and looked sketchy, so I didn't check them to see if they might have had heat as an option. After my return for my second paid night, they would not let me enter and tried to keep my bags that were held from the first night. My first time to New Orleans and this guy ruined my experience. I had to go pay to stay in another hotel. Now I'm waiting on the train to take me home. Needless to say, I have no desire to return because of how this so called employee treated me and my family..
Honestly some of the so called staff needs to be replaced. NO HEAT in the winter at night. It got cold. The AC units were high up and looked sketchy, so I didn't check them to see if they might have had heat as an option. We arrived to find trash in the floor and trash cans and a cold bottle of opened ginger ale on the night stand between the beds. Our beds didn't have the fitted sheets or pillow cases on them, but it was so late that I didn't want to bother anyone so I used the flat sheet to cover everything until morning. After my return for my second paid night, they would not let me enter and tried to keep my bags that were held from the first night. I'm praying to get my money back seeing how HOSTEL Auberge and it's affiliates would not let me enter for no good reason. They talked of being Christian, but God's people are caring and loving. They wouldn't put a family on the streets with no where to go in a strange place. I was left crying on the curb wondering where I was going to take my family to be safe for the night and wondering if I was going to have money to cover a night stay somewhere else. My first time to New Orleans and this guy ruined my experience. I had to go pay to stay in another hotel. Now I'm waiting on the train to take me home. Needless to say, I have no desire to return because of how this so called employee treated me and my family.
The hostel hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to try to include all guests in activities.
I don’t have any complaints.
magic stuff
Super freundlicher Host, saubere Zimmer!
friendly atmosphere,enough bathrooms,towels
the mattress is not so comfortable
It is a welcoming and positive environment, where it is easy to feel at home and make friends. The staff were very kind and welcoming, and they immediately resolved an initial problem with the room. People travelling in this hostel are amazing and coming from all over the world, it has been nice to share some breakfast and talk with them. The facility is very simple but very welcoming, and it is in a great location.
The last few days it was a little difficult to communicate with them because, unfortunately, as one of the workers explained to me, they work shifts from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but apart from that, they have an excellent interpersonal and professional approach.
safe, clean, great staff
Very well located and nice kitchen, bathrooms and showers.
The bunk beds were a nightmare to climb on to. I had bruises for weeks after. Also, this obviously isn’t the hostels fault but my bunk mate snored obnoxiously for 9h straight every night. I had ear plugs and everything but it didn’t help so yeah.. Be mentally prepared for that!
Excelente!
Loved everything!! Host was great!! Kitchen was good to prepare food and eat in. Other guests were very fun.
Loved everything!
I immediately felt welcomed as soon as I arrived by Jarron and Fillipe - both would go above and beyond to make sure everyone was settled. The location is perfect, only a half hour walk from Downtown and a 2 minute walk to the streetcar, if you'd rather not do the walk. Hostel felt safe and all facilties were spot on. One of the most social hostels I've stayed in, I loved the idea of everyone meeting on the courtyard on evenings, to mingle with other travellers etc. I met some friends for life in the few days I spent here. Perfect place.
That I didn't stay longer
Location right by a trolley stop, room felt secure, met amazing people
Wi-Fi a little slow
Excellent kind and friendly staff, thoughtful amenities
The beds were creaky
Nothing
Rejection
Nice staff, fairly comfortable facilities
The beds are pretty creaky
Everything was perfect for it to be my first time staying at a Hostel. The staff was friendly and I met a lot of travelers during my time there.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Staff is very accommodating and fun to hang with, kitchen facilities well equipped and comfortable to use, towels provided free of charge, fast rotation of clean hand towels, TV room, laundry service, and excellent price!
Beds are a little squeaky and the location is half residential so requires a little more walking to get around. That said, there are pretty good and easy-to-use buses like line 91.
Very homey
Beds were a little creaky but that’s okay. Everything else was good!
close to train station and things I wanted to see inexpensive and clean and friendly
rooms, if they had 4 people in them, were kind of tight/crowded. a very simple/sparse bedroom.
Clean, comfortable, and safe.
Nothing. I liked everything.
I really like the room, the beds were comfortable. They allow me to check in early as they open the reception. I think it was at 9 AM. Have a lot of products for common use in the bathroom. I didn't joint to the night party but I guess it was good
Ok, when I arrive at 7 am because I was traveling by bus from another city the first thing I saw was a big piece of poo next to the door. I was about to wait for the reception to open but the smell was so bad. I preferred to wait at a Burger King that was near to it. I also went there to confirm my volunteers application but as the owners wanted to make an interview and they were in another country was kinda difficult to make it fast so I decided to go to another hostel were I pay the same and I'm better located with breakfast and with a hot tub. If you are planing to go to the French Quarter you can go walking there from Albergue but it's a long walk, it's better to take the trolley but in my opinion I prefer to be more near to the French Quarter
