Close to where i needed to be.

The heater was on 25C and did not seem to be really warm. I may not have set up the heater correctly perhaps.

Lights & heating was on when I arrived & the bread & butter/jam was a nice touch

The peace and quiet of the location, and everything we could possibly want was provided for in the apartment, a really enjoyable stay.

This is a charming, homely, comfortable place to stay. We appreciated all the thoughtful touches and the tasty breakfast.

The location was ideal for our needs. The breakfast was the minimum I would expect. Having travelled for a few days, It was a nice addition to have access to a washing machine.

We had seen previous comments about the wifi and agree it was weak. A booster system would be helpful.

Very nice cosy room which had lights on and heat pump going ready for our late arrival. Everything was clean, tidy and very well presented. We were provided with a nice breakfast which included lovely homemade bread.

Great welcome. Private space in lovely setting. Everything you need and more in comfortable unit.

It was sparkling clean and loved the extra touches - books to read, a compendium of eateries in the area, a night sensor light in the bathroom. Breakfast supplied (even two real eggs!). Met the host on the morning we vacated and enjoyed talking with him and meeting his two cats.

A shelf in the shower to put shampoo, soap etc on rather than having to reach on the floor of the shower tray. Lovely and clean though and the water pressure was great.

A real gem. Everything you could want, great spot. We barbecued a steak for supper and relaxed with a bottle of wine, very peaceful. Hosts were great.

Comfortable accommodation on a large rural property a couple of kilometres out of Waimate

Full of nice touches like olive oil and complimentary farm eggs. It had a well-equipped kitchen and our own generous parking space and if we had been there in summer, our own barbeque. There was a whole paddock in front of the unit; so very relaxing. Great value, too.

The mattress was harder than I am used to

The Flying Plate Saloon is an excellent place to stay. Kerry & Christine are perfect hosts who made us feel welcome. It was a warm, clean, comfortable home away from home.

The most amazing find, loved this place

Location perfect for our needs, comfortable bed, good hot shower, the accommodation was very quick to warm up which was especially important for this time of the year, being mid-winter and very cold. It was very peaceful and quiet so very relaxing. I will definitely recommend this to family and friends as an excellent place to stay

Very clean; very quiet; very friendly hosts; we would definitely stay here again if we are coming down south.

Parking is close to accommodation. Bed was comfortable and room had good space for luggage. Kitchen facilities were good. Would happily stay here again.

The flying plate saloon is one of the best places we have stayed in for some time. Very comfortable and with everything we needed and as a bonus breakfast included. If you stay here you will get the story about the name!
