The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Food was cold during breakfast. The wifi kept cutting off. The noise from the street was unbearable. There was an off-smell in the corridor outside my room in the morning.

The best place to stay in Minya. Beautiful and clean hotel. The staff is very helpful.

Great hotel for a fair price with more than lovely people. I felt at home right away. Got not one but two welcome drinks. (Note that there is no alcohol available). Prices for dinner were very low, more than fair. Breakfast was fine, I wouldn’t expect more. Room was spacious and perfectly clean. Bed comfortable. I missed nothing. Throughout my huge trip across Egypt this was the hotel where I felt taken care of the most. Parking spot is like 2-3 minutes walking away. The security guy joined me in my car to show it to me and made sure I am safe. Pretty easy and cheap to park there.

It is loud outside. This is nothing the hotel could ever fix. But for my stopover the „trouble“ outside was kind of interesting yet funny to look at. It is in front of the train station, so there is a lot going on. If you don‘t mind that, you can easily spend an hour just watching the chaos running by. I didn’t care about it in the end.

L'hotel est exceptionnel il n'y a rien à dire, le petit déjeuner n'était pas incroyable car il n'y avait pas beaucoup de client mais nous avions était prévenu et pouvions demander ce que nous voulions au chef. Seul bémol : le serveur du restaurant qui me drague ouvertement devant ma famille... ce genre de situation ne devrait pas arriver dans ce genre d'établissement. Sinon le reste du personnel super et les chambres à la hauteur !

Les serveurs ne doivent en aucun cas draguer les clientes !

Отличный отель. В Эль-Минье в принципе не так много вариантов проживания. Несмотря на это, сотрудники отеля стараются организовать отдых гостей на высоком уровне. Расположение выгодное, очень легко найти на карте - прямо напротив железнодорожного вокзала Эль-Миньи. Рядом банкоматы, на самом вокзале тоже есть банкоматы, всегда можно снять египетские фунты. На 4-м этаже отеля есть хороший ресторан, где можно поужинать. Там же накрывают завтрак. Завтрак простой, но мы голодными не остались. Шампунь, гель для душа, халаты, тапочки, ушные палочки, шапочка для душа, мочалки, полотенца для рук, ног, тела - всё было в наличии. Отель однозначно рекомендуем.

В ванной комнате кое-где не помешал бы косметический ремонт, но нас это абсолютно не смутило.

Hotel przerósł moje oczekiwania – od personelu, przez pokój, po restaurację wszystko na najwyższym poziomie; po przejechaniu całego Egipt (od Kairu po granicę z Sudanem) mogę śmiało powiedzieć, że to absolutna czołówka i dałbym 20 gwiazdek, gdybym mógł. ⭐

Direkt am Bahnhof befindliches Hotel in historischen Stil. Die Zimmer wurden bei der erst vor kurzem stattgefundenen Renovierung stark modernisiert, was einerseits für bequeme Betten sorgt, zugleich aber auch ein wenig den Charme des restlichen Hotels vermissen lässt. Apropos: das Restaurant auf dem Dach ist leider nicht sehr gemütlich; dafür ist das Personal sehr reizend und das Frühstück sehr liebevoll gemacht. Wir hatten insgesamt einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt auf der Durchreise durch El Minya.

Ein wenig weniger Neonlicht im Restaurant und andere Möbel könnten Wunder bewirken.

The Savoy Hotel is the perfect place to stay when El Minya. The kindness and hospitality of the staff made my 6 night stay in El Minya an amazing experience. My room was large, very clean with satellite TV, fridge and restored to its original interior design. The roof top terrace provides amazing panoramic view to watch the sunsets over the railway station and city. The hotel restaurant provides an excellent big breakfast each morning and has a great dinner menu. The hotel can assist in organising a car for visits to Amarna and Beni Hassin if needed. If you are planning to visit El Minya The Savoy Hotel is the ideal place to stay where you will experience authentic Egyptian hospitality. This hotel gets 10/10

Hotel on busy roundabout but next to train station but noise not a problem. Limited hotel parking short distance away. Room large and clean with comfy bed and good facilities. Restaurant and food good. We were a foreign couple travelling independently in a rental car and as such we're a bit of an oddity in this less visited city. The staff were very helpful and organised a taxi for us to see the local sights but the security situation in Al Minya is very different to the main destinations in Egypt and there is a police post at the entrance to the hotel and generally they will want you to take an escort when you leave the hotel. No problem as when we walked into town the chap faded away after 100 m but he came with us in the taxi It's all a bit annoying but something one has to accept if you travel independently in this part of Eygpt

Ein sehr gepflegtes Hotel direkt gegenüber vom Bahnhof, bestens um das Stadtzentrum zu erkunden. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr bemüht und ausgesprochen freundlich in Hinblick auf das Wohlbefinden, Top. Das Zimmer war sehr ordentlich, gepflegt und geräumig.

Lärmisolation zur Straße könnte besser sein. Zuwenig Möglichkeiten zur Ablage. Das Bad war einfach. Das Frühstück war zu sehr aus der Assiette (Käse, Marmelade, Schinken etc.), da hilft auch die ausgewählte Freundlichkeit! des Personals wenig. Keine Säfte. Das passte nicht zum eher gehobenen Preis. Fahrten/Taxi werden, scheinbar für Ägypten typisch, überteuert angeboten. Hinweis: Wenn Sie sich in und um El Minya bewegen, wird ihnen vermutlich eine Polizeibegleitung an die Seite gestellt. Man ist einfach auf die Sicherheit der Touristen bedacht.

Es war alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Extrem laut nachts, aber das ist Ägypten eben.

hotel znajduje się tuż przy dworu kolejowym i bardzo ruchliwej ulicy. W pokojach do późnych godzin nocnych jest więc bardzo głośno - hałas z ulicy, klaksony, wycie pociągów nie pozwalają zasnąć.

La posizione super centrale di fronte la stazione dei treni. La staff molto gentile. Ogni 2 per tre mi portavano un succo di frutta in camera. La camera era spaziosa. Bastava chiudere l'areatore del bagno e la porta del bagno per evitare un po' di rumore di fuori.

Il bagno insomma, una tenda di plastica nella doccia e il sapone non dei migliori. Ma si può soprassedere. La colazione poca scelta ma se ordini ti portano quello che vuoi.

One of the best hotels in the region. Luxurious hotel, very comfortable beds, clean rooms. Breakfast and meals are served in a very spacious and clean floor, the 4th, which is very atmospheric.

Breakfast facility wasn’t clean, Christmas ornaments were dusty and still hanging in January, need to pay for extras as well. The hotel is next to a train station and busy street, you will hear in the whole night long.

The whole experience was great. The level of noise due to the location could not be helped. The nonsense of security would put a lot of visitors off

Everything was superb. The staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and outgoing. The room was clean and very well kept. If I ever come back to minya I will definitely stay at the Savoy again.

Das Personal in dem traditionsreichen und sehr gepflegten Hotel war überaus herzlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit und die Atmosphäre wirklich besonders! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten nachts gut schlafen. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr ansprechend und lecker, besonders der frische Obstsalat, die verschiedenen Backwaren und die warmen Gerichte. Zur Weihnachtszeit ist alles liebevoll geschmückt und am Heiligabend bekamen wir vom Restaurantpersonal sogar ein kleine Aufmerksamkeit! Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit und alles Gute für das gesamte Personal vom Savoy Hotel!

A beautiful hotel. Incredible interior design (the pictures on the website don't lie) and its rooftopbar is a real asset. Good beds, a nice bathroom and spacious rooms. Yet be aware that you have to have ear plugs. The train station is near so noise is not avoidable. (I knew this in advance and this wasn't a big issue since I have ear plugs with me anyway) There's a decent breakfast. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely book it again if I'd plan a trip through Middle-Egypt. (I will always remember the superb smell when you enter the hotel. Lovely home perfume)

Points of improvement are: in some cities (like Cairo) there are seperate spaces for smokers and non-smokers. To satisfy all customers and level up the status of your hotel seperate rooms at the rooftopbar are desired. Breakfast was good and there was a level of variety but to level up the standards of the hotel. A little more variety, the quality of the breads could be better (the croissants and other pastries weren't really fresh but more pre-baked products you can buy in the supermarket as well). But again a decent breakfast. I didn't try the food at the rooftopbar in the evening so I can't rate that. These are point's of improvement definitely no deal breakers for me. Also bear in mind that in Middle-Egypt they're (the security and tourist police) a bit more strict (nothing to do with the hotel) about where you go definitely when you have a driver and a guide! This was sometimes a burden but in the end they try to care of you in their own way.

Everything was perfect, a word I didn't think I could use to describe an hotel in Egypt where I have been so far 24 times.

Super hôtel tant du point de vue du cadre que des personnels. Tout était vraiment très bien. Tout le monde était au petit soin pour nous, préoccupé de notre bien etre.

Emplacement bruyant à proximité de la gare et d'une place très fréquentée mais cela ne nous a pas empêché de bien dormir.

El servicio fue increíble, cualquier cosa que necesites están siempre dispuestos. Planeamos varios viajes de un día a yacimientos de Minya y el hotel nos encontró un coche y un guía muy rápido y a precio muy asequible. Han sido un verdadero encanto. El restaurante tiene mucha variedad de comida y todo a muy buen precio. Las habitaciones son amplias y limpias y no se escucha nada desde fuera. Recomiendo muchísimo este hotel.

Lovely hotel, beautiful rooms, especially the dressing table

From the beginning. What was a wonderful smiling people at the reception they were amazing . The room was very very clean 👌 All needed facilities were available at the room and at the bathroom. Ending with the wonderful staff at the restaurant and food was delicious more than good 👍 also the quantity more than sufficient For sure, coming back soon to Savoy hotel

Someone walked in my room while i was not there and they said the room service was in there even tho i had the sign on the door that i dont want no room service.

The hotel is a true gem in the heart of Minya. A 5 star service, ambience and experience. Reception staff and restaurant staff were amazing in helping in any way they could. The style of the hotel is remarkable and was always super clean. Restaurant food is amazing with a really good value for money.

Newly renovated and very clean and comfortable. New windows helped cut down on the street noise despite hotel being in central location across from the train station. Breakfast buffet was fine.

Price is a bit high for a provincial city like Minya, but not unreasonable as this is much nicer than your standard provincial hotel.

Fantastic in every way, couldn't ask for more

Everything was great. Amazing hospitality from every person at the hotel. Breakfast and lunch were also very good. Private parking available and managed by hotel. Freah guava juice offered upon arrival.

There is constant noice of traffic from the road. For us it was not a concern but maybe not everyone is so immune to this much noise at night.

Exceptional customer care. All staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel at home. The young owner came to greet us personally and told us the story of the hotel. It was such a lovely personal touch. Food was great both at breakfast and dinner, with authentic Egyptian dishes. The hotel was originally built in 1920s and it still full of old-fashioned charm. It's like stepping back in history. Great value for money. We will certainly be back if we visit the region again.
