The owners and their kids are incredibly nice and friendly. As someone who loves gardens, I really enjoyed staying here. The place is surrounded by beautiful greenery and has such a warm, homely atmosphere. The location isn’t too far from the centre, but far enough to escape the noise and traffic. They don’t provide laundry or bike rental services, but there are plenty of options available just outside the guest house, so it’s not really a problem. Breakfast wasn’t included with the room, but the food she cooked are soo good at a very cheap price. On my second morning, I asked her to prepare a feast of Balinese food for breakfast, and it only cost 100k. ❤️ I genuinely liked everything about this place. Would happily stay here again

I booked this place the night before, as I needed a little break after two nights in a hostel, and I honestly couldn’t have made a better choice. The room was perfect and the price was amazing. I felt very comfortable and the family was incredibly welcoming and helpful with so many things. I also added breakfast, which was really delicious. I arrived much earlier than the official check-in time, but they kindly kept my luggage for me and told me to come back at 2 PM. When I came back, the room was already perfectly ready. I only wish I had stayed longer in Ubud, because I would definitely have stayed here!

Everything was absolutely wonderful! To start with, the family who welcomes you is incredibly kind and attentive. Everything is extremely clean, organized, and well taken care of. My husband was having some trouble with his foot, and they were so lovely—they applied a special oil, gave him a massage, and even prepared a sandalwood bath for him. HE IMPROVED BY 500%! It was such a thoughtful gesture that we will never forget. Honestly, words are not enough to describe how amazing our experience was. The location is excellent, and you are going to LOVE the rooms! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. ❤️

Das Zimmer ist groß und sauber, die Lage ist sehr ruhig und das Bett bequem. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt und die Familie ist unglaublich nett und hilft bei allem. Ich hab mich sehr wohl gefühlt und würde jederzeit wieder kommen.

Amazing stay, the host/family were so welcoming & kept the place exceptionally clean! Great location not too far from the centre. Comfy bed & A/C were good. Spacious Room Shower was great & hot!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly people who always go out of their way to help and make their guests feel comfortable. They did everything they could to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Everything was very clean, and our room was cleaned every day. We were especially impressed that they even organized and cleaned some of our belongings without us having to ask. We truly appreciated their care and attention to detail. We are very grateful for their hospitality, and if we visit Bali again next year, we would definitely choose to stay here again. Highly recommended!

Wat een fijn verblijf! De gastvrouw is ontzettend lief en behulpzaam en zorgt ervoor dat je je direct welkom voelt. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is uitstekend. De locatie is ideaal: dicht bij het stadscentrum, maar gelegen in een rustige straat (dus geen geluidsoverlast). Via de gastvrouw kun je bovendien eenvoudig een scooter huren, wat erg handig is om de omgeving te verkennen. De kamers zijn omringd door veel groen. Echt een aanrader dus!

Thank you Wayan and Ketut for your wonderful hospitality! I liked absolutely everything - good location, beautiful house , welcoming family, nice garden. Everything was perfect . Sadly I found this accommodation on my last day in Ubud . Definitely will come back here again .

El lugar es precioso, pero la familia más amable aún. Son encantadores y su atención es excelente. Todo es igual que en las fotos y mejor aún. La ubicación es la mejor, te podes mover tranquilamente ya que es un lugar súper seguro y cómodo. Tengo unas fotos preciosas que no me deja subir. Las voy a publicar en Google maps

Tout était parfait ! La famille est adorable, vous êtes si bien reçu ! La chambre est très agréable et pratique. La guest house est bien située, à environ 10min à pied du centre (la rue à descendre) mais extrêmement au calme. Je suis restée 4 nuits mais j’aurais pu rester beaucoup plus longtemps et je reviendrai sans aucun doute si je repasse par Ubud ! Vous pouvez commander un petit déjeuner si vous souhaitez le prendre à la guest house. Sinon il y a des cafés à moins de 10min.

ご家族の皆さんがすごく温かい人達。ホストのWayanとKetutは、全力でおもてなしをしてくれる。具体的には、到着日に玄関まで迎えにきてくれたり、子供さんのガムランレッスンを見学したいと言うと連れて行ってくれたり、お寺で大きなお祭りがあるからと聞きつけ行きたいというと一緒に行ってくれたり、すぐ近くのケチャにわざわざバイクで連れて行ってくれたり、付かず離れずの距離でいつも気にかけてくれていて、何か希望があるといつもゲスト最優先で叶えてくれる。お子さん達もめちゃくちゃピュアで可愛くて、いつも癒された。別料金の朝食も手づくり感いっぱいで満たされた。また、お庭がいつも素晴らしくきれいに手入れされていて、お庭を眺めながらの朝食がいつも充実した時間だった。お部屋は広々で、冷蔵庫はないけれど、クーラーがあるのでかなり助かった。

良くない点ではないが、東南アジアでよく見られるようなシャワーとトイレが一緒の部屋にあるタイプなので、シャワーの後はトイレが若干濡れてしまう。しかし、そこの扉を開けてエアコンの風を入れておくとかなり乾きが早かった。

Die Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig gelegen. Man ist zu Fuß in 10 Minuten im Zentrum von Ubud. Es gibt in der Nähe zahlreiche Restaurants, ansonsten kann man auch gut über Grab Essen bestellen. Die Eigentümer sind sehr freundlich und immer erreichbar. Die Unterkunft ist sauber und das Bett ist bequem.

Tout était parfait: l’emplacement, le magnifique jardin, la chambre spacieuse très confortable, la propreté (Wayan nettoie tous les jours), les petits-déjeuners délicieux. Wayan et Kaetut sont des hôtes accueillants, disponibles en tous temps et adorables : ils ont tous les 2 pris grand soin de moi tous les jours, m’ont accompagnée plusieurs fois en scooter pour me faciliter la vie. J’ai fait la visite du temple Tirta Empul et le rituel de la purification avec Kaetut, une expérience authentique unique à faire absolument avec une personne locale.

L’eau n’était pas fournie, juste 1 bouteille à l’arrivée. C’est un détail vite oublié compte tenu de tout le reste qui était parfait et des boutiques à 2 pas.

The cleanest accommodation I’ve ever stayed in in Bali! No bugs, no dust, everything is perfectly arranged. The garden is beautiful and the location is quiet but also convenient. Big thanks to Ketut and Wayan for their hospitality! Ketut even helped me with my batik for Nyepi, styled my hair and lent me her daughter’s brand new T-shirt. It was so nice to talk to them and their sweet kids! Will definitely miss my stay here.

The Owners were super nice and there Kids aswell. Everything was super clean and nice. The Location of the Guest House is perfect, u walk 5-10min into the city, if u want u can also rent a bike or bring ur laundry away in less then a minute walk. We loved it and we would definitely come back.

늦은 저녁 비행기라 체크인을 걱정했는데 12시 넘었는데도 숙소 밖에까지 나와서 우릴 기다려 주셨어요 사장님 너무 친절 하시고 후기가 별로 없어 걱정했지만 숙소는 너무 깔끔하고 조식을 따로 신청했는데 조식도 맛있고 커피맛집이니 꼭 커피는 주문하세요! 가격대비 대대대 만족입니다 잠깐 짧게 잠만 자는거라 저렴한 숙소를 찾았는데 기대이상 너무 만족 스러웠습니다. 친구들이 꼭 후기 남겨야 한다고 해서 후기 작성해요! 여기가 우붓 메인 스트릿과 가까워서 위치도 나쁘지 않아요

아쉬운 점은 냉장고가 없고 샤워기는 해바라기 샤워기라 그게 좀 불편해요 그거 빼면 다 만족입니다

We arrived around 11 PM, and the family running the place kindly waited for us and welcomed us warmly. It’s managed by a couple and their children, so it feels more like a homely PG than a hotel. They take care of everything themselves—from cooking to cleaning—and are always ready to help with anything we need. The room was neat and well-maintained throughout our 3-day stay, and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. Overall, a comfortable and caring place to stay.

The best stay in Ubud in it's category. The most friendly family, I felt so well taken care of and was even invited to join a family temple ceremony. By the time I left I was really sad to say goodbye. Excellent location. The room is beautiful and huge and the bed is so comfortable. The cleanliness is fantastic and the garden is really very nice. But what I loved the most is the ceremony in the garden every morning and seeing Balinese life firsthand. I will return for sure. Thank you so much!!!

I absolutely loved my stay at Marwati Guest House. Ketut and the rest of the family are absolutely lovely and helpful. I was able to order an incredibly nice and fresh breakfast for little money and loved the location of the place. Comfortable beds, beautiful little backyard and very clean. I will return for sure!

A very homey and peaceful guesthouse! Gek Ketut and her husband are so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, and clean. Their garden was meticulously taken care of. Breakfast was amazing, and having it facing the garden n morning sun....so peaceful. Matur suksma 🥰

The room is very large and cool. Breakfast is wonderfully fresh and home cooked and cheap. The owners of the homestay will do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

You would think an electric kettle for making your own coffee or tea would be nice…. But then… you can ask for that anytime and it will be served on your terrace. So in the end we didn’t miss it at all!

The hosts thoughtfully made over the room and returned it to the exact same condition as at check-in, showing exceptional attention to detail. The breakfast menu was simple yet incredibly homely and delicious. As a female solo traveler, I felt completely safe throughout my stayand I truly appreciated that this little gem was priced within my budget and available for the two nights I needed. I’ve just moved on to the next part of my journey in Sanur and already miss these wholesome people🥹🥹🥹

The hosts are super nice, the room is very clean and spacious. The walk to the hotel from the street is totally fine in my opinion. it’s best to let the owner know before hand of your arrival time so that they can meet you on the street and show you the way in.

Nous avons passé un très bon moment à Marwati Guest House. Un logement très sympa dans le centre d’Ubud, 5-10 mins à pieds de la place du marché. Un endroit isolé du bruit et de la foule tout en étant centré ! Vous aurez sûrement la chance de rencontrer Ketut et sa famille très accueillante. Les pancakes à la banane proposés au petit déjeuner étaient excellents ! Et il n’y a que deux chambres ce qui rend l’ambiance très chaleureuse.

Very quiet space at the back of a multi-generational family compound. There were other guests in the adjacent room and we never heard or saw them. You can’t hear the traffic from the busy streets of Ubud. The entrance to the property is off a narrow street, up steep steps, and then through several small buildings on the property, many of which are family temples of historical and religious significance. Wander to the back of the property and into the gardens which are incredibly well-maintained and beautiful. Hosts, Itut and Wayan, are so friendly. Their three kids are adorable and kind. They like to practice English as they offer morning coffee before school. Itut is busy with several jobs, but present, helpful, and welcoming. The guest house is spacious for two people with plenty of light (into the garden) and blackout curtains for good rest. Fan and AC unit are quiet and not oppressive. The furniture is stunning and they have curated a comfortable space. Many guests have commented on the bathroom, and my thought is for the price, it’s very functional and works just fine. We truly enjoyed our stay and took good advantage of all there was to do in Ubud. They should be charging much more for this space. If in Seattle, this would have been at least $100/night!

While the city centre of Ubud is bustling with tourists and scooters, this guest house is perfectly isolated yet close to everything. The garden next to the rooms is charming and was always a delight to step into. Coming to the host, and saying this as someone who has traveled to more than 30 countries now, I found their service exceptional. It’s probably not in the same sense as you would rate the service in a hotel, but what you would expect from friends or family. One such example of this was that we had mentioned mosquitoes, and every day we would come back after a day of traveling to see a perfectly made-up room with small flowers on the bed, but also that they had sprayed so that the room was free of mosquitoes before we arrived. They helped us with everything we needed, be it an umbrella, some bookings, or tea/coffee anytime. I’ll definitely go back to this place when I visit Ubud. The host and their family were a good way for us to get some real conversation and insight into life for people of Ubud, which you don’t get as honestly in your conversations with shops, restaurants, or tour guides.
