My stay at Sukoon by the Ganges, Haridwar was extremely disappointing and far below what was advertised or expected for the price being charged. The rooms are highly overpriced for the facilities and condition being provided. The room had a strong unpleasant smell, visible seepage, and broken/damaged doors. Even the linen provided was torn, which is completely unacceptable for a property charging such rates. The sitting area was also poorly maintained and had no fans, making it extremely uncomfortable to sit there. What was even more disappointing was the difference between the photos displayed on booking platforms and the actual condition of the property and room. The photographs give an impression of a much better-maintained property, whereas the actual room and facilities were nowhere close to what was shown. This felt misleading and deceptive when making the booking. For the amount charged, one expects at least basic cleanliness, proper maintenance, intact linen, functional doors, and adequate ventilation/fans. Unfortunately, even these basic standards were not met. Overall, this was a pathetic and extremely disappointing experience. The property needs serious improvement in terms of maintenance, cleanliness, hygiene, upkeep and transparency in its online photographs. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here, especially at the prices being charged.

The location is beautiful; sitting on the balcony during sunrise was a real treat. So was the Arti ritual after sun set. The breakfast was adequate, we enjoyed the rather small buffet on the top floor. The waiting staff provided a very friendly service there. The reception staff attended to all our requests in a timely and courteous manner.

The hotel rooms are in desperate need of a make over as the carpets are very dirty and there are bad smells coming from the bath rooms. The fittings and furniture are worn, tacky and cheap. For example, the ward robe didn't close properly, neither did the balcony door in our 1st floor corner room. My suggestion: take out the dirty carpets, replace them with easy to clean floor tiles. Replace the furniture and buy new linen. A room advertised as a "family room" should be supplied with more than one key card; hunting for a master key every time you return to the room, where a family member is still sleeping, becomes a real hassle.

The view from the room was amazing. It was worth the money. The service was very nice and the food was delicious. Will visit this property again

Room was not really clean, whilst the floor was moped it was not cleaned. Toilet got blocked ask for it to be fixed and was not so from evening to check out we used the lobby toilet (circa 15 hours). Location is not good and you are at the merci of the rickshaw drivers, uber and ola does not work in this area. Hotel food is available or Zamato nowhere near to walk to, it is also not in a built up area….

We went to the place but the property was bad and we didn't stay there. The location was pathetic. It is not ganges behind but some dirty stream. We were told that there was a cremation ground nearby and the water was contaminated. The room was on the top and you have to pass through a narrowpassage to reach it. It was dirty and at 4pm they didn't even have the room ready for us.

The services was good, staff was cooperative. A valuable stay.

By the banks was a good choice.

Location far from the centre. Booking.com also tends to misguide on km distance. Internet very poor- non existent TV no channels Poor quality of toiletries

Staff was totally oblivious and greedy.

There was a tub inside the room but no chairs to sit on. And first they pestered us to pay before arrival and then started charging every bottle of water.

We stayed at this hotel in Haridwar, and the highlight of the experience was truly unbeatable—the Ganga flowing right at the steps of the property. The room views were absolutely beautiful and made the stay memorable. The food was also very good and satisfying. While the restaurant service was quite slow (we experienced delays of over an hour), the quality of the food made up for it, so it didn’t bother us too much in the end. Overall, the location and views are exceptional, and the food is a strong point, but some practical improvements in amenities, access, and service would make the stay far more comfortable.

There were a few areas where the experience could be improved. The approach lane to the hotel is extremely narrow and often congested, making it difficult to even briefly stop your car to unload luggage. Despite the stunning views, the room amenities were quite basic. The room was small and had a pillar in between that made the movement more difficult. There were no chairs or luggage bench—just the bed—which made it difficult to fully enjoy the view from the room. A bathtub was present but not very practical in the absence of basic seating. To their credit, the staff did provide chairs when we requested them. At 7 am, bottled water request was turned away, saying the staff wasn't there, quite surprising, though a staff only delievered RO water. Additionally, the travel services recommended by the hotel were significantly more expensive compared to regular market rates, which is something guests may want to be mindful of.

The say was ultimate. Intelligent staff, managed the LPG crisis too very well. They gave us all we wanted. It's a surprise package

Schlechte Kommunikation mit dem Hotel vor der Anreise, während des Aufenthaltes und bei Abreise. Wir hätten zahlreiche Beispiele für total unübliches und komisches Verhalten. beispielsweise zwei Tage vor Anreise eine WhatsApp Nachricht zu schicken, dass man 30% anzahlen soll, sonst wird das Zimmer sofort storniert. Auf booking steht aber keine Anzahlung und ich zahle auch nicht an irgendeine indische WhatsApp Nummer einfach Geld. Vor dieser Sorte der Kommunikation gab's es viele. Auch permanent im Zimmer anrufen und komische nachfragen stellen (auch morgens um 8:30). Sehr schwach für ein angebliches 5 Sterne hotel und machte das Aufenthaltsgefühl für uns leider schlecht. Beds were also too short for 176cm person

I had a wonderful stay at this property and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. One of the highlights was the delicious food—every meal was fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. The staff were extremely polite, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made the entire experience even more pleasant. Their hospitality truly stood out. Another big advantage is the beautiful location right by the Ganga River. The peaceful surroundings and scenic views made the stay very relaxing and memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with great food, excellent service, and a perfect riverside setting. I would definitely love to stay here again!

The property was located around slums The Ganga water flowing by the property was used for cleaning dishes, clothes, and toilet, household drainage was also opened to Ganga around the property. The pictures are deceptive. The staff is clueless about hospitality, the property is uneven, most of my family members including a child have stumbled and injured due to the uneven walk surface. They have no indicators for such place like mind your step, view the gap, etc. Parking is an issue. Most places are far and require public transport

Had it not been for Sarika We would have left. After arranging airport pickup, that didn't happen!!

Sukoon is a perfect location for us, close to Anandamayi Ashram and right on the Ganga. Peaceful view out to the river. Clean and quiet. Staff eager to fulfill our needs. Comfortable, soft bed.

Everything was wonderful, well the chai could be better, but that is a tiny detail.

The staff was very accommodating and the lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful in every single way!!!! She helped us get a taxi back to Delhi, she got us a rickshaw driver to take us around haridwar. They food was great and even though the location outside the property was ok, sukoon is a diamond in the rough. Very big and spacious rooms and a little costly but worth every rupee!
