Big comfortable bed, good location, friendly family running it

Super sauber, perfekte Lage, sehr ruhig, eine unfassbar sympathische Familie, und ein richtig tolles Frühstück. Vom Balkon konnte man die Affen beobachten. 😍 Wir waren über zwei Wochen dort und haben jeden Tag genossen. ☀️

Encore mieux que la première fois, vu qu'ils ont décoré et aménagé la pièce du petit déjeuner qui est maintenant devenue aussi un restaurant! Un menu simple mais très bon à prix très correct :) La famille qui tient cet homestay est toujours aussi adorable. Les chambres n'ont pas d'eau chaude ni d'air conditionné, mais au vu des prix pratiqués, on ne peut pas tout avoir. D'ailleurs, le ventilateur suffit, et l'eau froide est très bien aussi vu le soleil éclatant. Aussi la connexion internet est mieux que la première fois. Délicieux petit déjeuner compris, je recommande sans hésitation, je reviendrai :)

Man wohnt quasi mit der Familie zusammen, die extremst nett und süß ist. Frühstück ist lecker alle sind sehr hilfsbereit. Es ist in einer sehr netten Gegend nur 2 Minuten zum Strand. Sehr ruhig alles

Er waren heel veel muggen in de kamer, & de badkamer leek niet (goed) schoon te zijn gemaakt.

Very kind familt and very good breakfast

Mango house was a great homestay whilst I was volunteering in the area for 2 weeks. The family are so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast every morning was delicious, and I was always asked what I’d like the night before (egg hoppers were my favourite). Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. My room was cleaned and bedding changed during my stay, the WiFi worked with no issues. So close to the beach, limited places to eat during low season but the family offered me dinner and would plate up any food I bought home after work to eat in the evenings. Would definitely recommend staying.

I had a fantastic time staying there, they were so welcoming and kind and very accommodating making me lovely breakfast early before work. One night I ate dinner at the guesthouse and it was the most delicious food I have eaten so far in Sri Lanka! Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality and wishing you all the best.

The hosting family was so adorable, they made my stay perfect, they ware really caring about me, they also helped me to organize a safari trip to Udawalawa national park.

There was no hot water, but I did not care at all, it was a pleasant refreshment. Too hot in my room, but I booked a room without AC, but there was a ventilator, it helped a lot.

Mango House is about 120m walk from beautiful Talalla Beach which is clean and uncrowded. Choose from the excellent local restaurants or host Suranga will cook for you. Simple, clean, comfortable, affordable accommodation.

No aircon or hot shower but the fan was enough and who needs a hot shower in Sri Lanka?

Location was wonderful, the breakfast was delicious, and the owners are lovely people. The room was clean and comfortable, and surprisingly cool on the hot nights.

The breakfast every morning was a delight, and the family are so friendly and hospitable.

I've had some great stays in Sri Lanka and this was one of them First off the family looked after my every needs with fantastic food and drinks Secondly the location is in a lovely quiet village very close to the stunning beach I can highly recommend staying here

Nothing to dislike

Amazing breakfast very filling with fruit salad and pancakes or toast or roti. Fresh juice and tea or coffee always offered. Location is amazing a short walk from the beach. Lovely family

No air conditioning but the fan worked really well. Occasionally the wifi was weak during the evenings but worked well otherwise.

The Talalla Mango House is a wonderful place to stay. Only 200 m from the beach, it’s a family run very heartful home stay, humble and clean, and they would help you out with any questions you have. Breakfast, lunch, dinner - The food is something else, just amazing. They take you through all the Sri Lankan flavours you can imagine. Fresh fish (the father sometimes goes fishing himself), vegetables and fruit every day. No restaurants needed. Apart from that, you live in the middle of extremely beautiful nature, with palm trees etc. and Sri Lankan biodiversity and animals say hello every day. Hopefully will come back soon.

Nice location near the beach, comfortable room and good breakfast

I had the perfect stay at Mango House. It's a lovely house tucked behind the road into Talalla with a pretty garden & lovely seating area. The room was very comfortable with a large bathroom, nice bedding & a good mosquito net. It was especially nice to have a desk & chair. Breakfasts were delicious & an extra treat to watch the monkeys on their daily route to the roof tops. The family were so kind and accommodated my early rising for yoga with delicious juices : ) and I met some other lovely guests. They truly made us feel at home and very welcome. I was sorry I'd not discovered dinner was possible until my last night - my friend and I were served a delicious selection of curries. Such a pleasure to meet this lovely family & to share their home. They really cared that you had a good stay. The beach is just a short walk away & great shop nearby too. Great value and a warm welcome for the budget traveller.

I'm so happy, that we decided to stay in Talalla and in Mango House. It was the best accommodation during our whole holiday in Sri Lanka. The family is so friendly, helpful and we felt welcome from the first minute. They do everything, that their guests feel good. After arrival we got fresh fruit juices, also my little son. I was travelling alone with a almost 3 year old toddler and that was the only accommodation, who provided him breakfast too. The breakfast was every day different and they cooked the best curry for us. Everything to am extraordinary price. In the neighbourhood are also kids to play. The location is fantastic, very close to the best side of Talalla Beach, the best beach in our journey too. It was just planned as an overnight stay but we extended for 5 nights. If possible, we would have stayed even longer. Many thanks yo this family!

Nothing to complain.

I loved my comfortable, cozy room with view into the palmtrees. The breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were very kind and helpful. I felt safe and cared for. The location was perfect, next to a little store and close to the beach.

Being in a quiet area 100 meters from the beach. The dinner was excellent and the family was very quiet but the man took me to the road at 5:30 in the morning to catch the bus. The room was big and very clean.

Perfect beach which is very close. Few peopla around, guiet place, very calm and friendly spot. Good for running and joga.Best breakfast.

Now and then a dogs barks in the nigjt.
