I would give breakfast a 6 out of 10 and no sausages for breakfast on 1 morning . Also waiting a while to be asked what we would like for breakfast .

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Everything - lovely hotel, excellent service beautiful room, lovely food, handy parking & friendly staff. I stayed in this hotel as a child as it was then. Was lovely to be back with my own children.
Some guests were talking loudly in the corridor after midnight just outside the lifts. This disrupted my sleep & that of my children after continuing for more than 30 mins. It stopped when I asked them to stop & move on. No fault of the hotel just other guests not being respectful. Coffee could be better!

We had dinner in the bar as we felt the bar food menu catered to our tastes better. My wife had the catch of the day for €28.50 and it was too well done and hard and only came with a small bit of potatoe and no veg. She bad a ceasar salad to start which looked like a shop bought bag of lettuce and one chicken goujon chopped up for €12.50 which seemed quite excessive for the quantity of chicken on offer. I had wings to start and the beef burger for main which were only okay. The restaurant was extremely busy so maybe we were just unfortunate with our meal.

Front of house and waiting staff are wonderful at their jobs too. Food was excellent. Bar entertainment on both nights was excellent too great atmosphere in bar.

Reviewed Jun 19, 2026Fabulous hotel, totally unexpected in this part of Ireland. Loved Donegal and St Patrick's at Rosapenna. Every aspect of this hotel far exceeded my expectations. Definitely will come back.
The Pub with food was excellent, however I was disappointed in the fine dining restaurant on site. In the future I would eat at the Pub or even better take the short drive to the nearby town of Downings. As with many hotels today there is no bathtub, only a shower )-:

Many of the clientele were aging male golfers. This was no problem for us, but it puts things into perspective!

Plenty parking. Convenience shops a very short walk including pharmacy. Beautiful beaches nearby. Partner loved the Golf courses. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The food was superb,The portions were large and there was a good variety.Breakfast was really good and well cooked. Service was prompt but unhurried. The bedroom was large and comfortable with a kitchenette.The shower in the bathroom was the best I have encountered at home and abroad,The water was hot and a good constant pressure, the Soaker was sublime. The doors to the garden were a bonus as they allowed you to bring your suitcases directly in from the car.
The shower base was very slippy and should have had a rubber mat,There were no hand grips in the shower which would have made the shower more elderly friendly. The heating in the room was difficult to control, but the room was cosey.
