We visited Greece for the first time and are very grateful to Ioanna for her exceptional hospitality and for giving us such a wonderful first impression of the country. The property is located in Glyfada, in a quiet, green, and cosy residential neighbourhood. It is also well connected by public transport. From Athens International Airport, you can take the X96 express bus through Glyfada, followed by an approximately 20-minute walk from the bus stop. Please note that this is not a conventional hotel but a privately hosted property with guest rooms and shared common areas, including a kitchen and balcony. The guest rooms have private bathrooms. If you need a comfortable place to leave your luggage, sleep, and relax between sightseeing trips, this arrangement should suit you well. Ioanna provides a generous continental breakfast, and the shared kitchen is available if you would like to prepare your own meals. There is also a supermarket about a ten-minute walk away, offering groceries, household essentials, and other everyday items. We appreciated having access to a washing machine, which is especially useful if you prefer to travel light. The property is conveniently located near the coast and the centre of Glyfada. Both organised paid beaches and free public beaches can be reached within approximately 20–30 minutes, depending on the destination. The shops, restaurants and tram stops in central Glyfada are also within walking distance. Piraeus can be reached directly via tram line T7, with the total journey from the property taking approximately one hour. While in Piraeus, do not miss the opportunity to visit the beautiful island of Aegina. Ferries depart from the Gate E8 area, and tickets can be purchased online through Aegina Ferries or from ticket offices at the port. Reaching central Athens can take a little longer. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay of almost a week. We found the price affordable, especially compared with nearby hotels and apartments.

Great lil’ nook in the beautiful and well-known neighbourhood of Glyfada. I stayed in one of the spacious rooms of a well-kept modern apartment with vintage and eclectic decor; it boasted amazing views of the city!Amazing and generous breakfast every day made with love by Mrs. Ioanna!

Separate bathroom, which was right beside the room. A hung mirror in the bedroom or a vanity desk would have been appreciated.

Location was great - you can walk down to the coastal shops and the tram within 10 mins. Ioanna was lovely - she had snacks and filtered water always in the fridge waiting for you. The bed was really comfortable and aircon was great! - and nice view from the decks. Easy taxi into central Athens but nice to be away from the busy L.

Ioanna is the perfect host. Everything was amazing, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and also the opportunity to left our luggage after check out was really convenient. Highly recommend

Colazione fantastica, sul terrazzo all'ultimo piano, super abbondante, con piatti dolci e salati. Grazie Ioanna, era come stare a casa, davvero coccolati! La camera era spaziosa, pulita e colorata, con tutti i confort e con grande.balcone. Bagno pulito e dotato di tutto. L'accoglienza è stata speciale e torneremo sicuramente con piacere. Con Ioanna si parla volentieri di tutto e la sua casa è piena di idee da lei create. La sua disponibilità con noi è stata grande, ci ha dato diversi consigli anche per visitare luoghi interessanti vicino ad Atene. Grazie di tutto.

We stayed for 4 days, 4 days in which Ioanna made us feel very welcome, relaxed and wanted. She taught us a lot of things, shared secrets, showed us the city at night, took us to her favorite places and cooked amazing breakfast and snacks! She is a very thoughtful host! The room is spacious, clean and the beds are very comfortable. The house feels like a home also thanks to Ioanna's clever crafts and art. We were very excited to come and it exceeded all expectations! I cannot recommend this enough :)

Ioanna was a fabulous host and we really appreciated her hospitality! The room was comfortable with a lovely terrace and great AC to help beat the August heat. The area was a nice beach escape from the bustle of Athens with plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast was also the cherry on top :) I have dietary restrictions and Ioanna was able to accommodate me while still providing and authentic Greek meal. We left full and happy!

“Hospitality” doesn’t even begin to cover it. Staying at Ionna’s felt like staying with family. She clearly genuinely likes taking care of people and she does it like no one else. Don’t even let me start at the breakfast she made for us. I might forget my name one day, but not those breakfasts. We felt completely comfortable with her amazing energy. About the commodities, amazing as well. Very comfortable, everything works great and I slept like an angel. The location is perfect. Near the beach and transports. I lack words for how much I loved staying with Ionna, the Greek goddess of hospitality. (Be good to her or I’ll hunt you down 🤪)

Man fühlte sich bei Frau Ioanna direkt wohl und sicher. Man hat sein eigenes abschließbares Zimmer und Bad sowie noch einmal durch eine Zwischentür getrennt. Die Lage ist sehr gut in Glyfada und ruhig. Frau Ioanna hat uns alle wichtigen Fragen zur Umgebung beantwortet und uns gerne ein Frühstück gemacht nur leider mussten wir sehr früh los. Praktisch ist die Anbindung an den Flughafenbus, warum wir die Unterkunft ausgewählt haben. Frau Ioanna stand uns jederzeit zur Verfügung und war dezent abgeschieden in ihrem Bereich.

Хороше розташування. Ввічлива господарка. Все зручно і комфортно. Гарні види з тераси. В цілому сподобалось, в 15хв пішки є доступ до моря, поруч магазин і зупинки міського транспорту.

Boendet är som beskrivet. Det är rent, skön säng, tyst i ett lugnt område. Finns bra restauranger nere vid stranden som är 15-20 minuters promenad. Där går också spårvagnen som går till Atens centrum. Vi fick kaffe och vatten och en bra grekisk frukost. Värdinnan är trevlig och gästfri.

The location of the flat is in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood, with a pleasant 10 minute walk to shops/restaurants/tram and seafront. The flat is spacious and homely and the room we stayed in equally spacious, well kept and comfortable with access to private bathroom and fantastic balcony offering exceptional views. Ioanna was a warm and welcoming host and cooked us a lovely breakfast every morning!

Ioanna was fantastic and the stay was so cozy! She made wonderful breakfast and the bathroom & bedrooms were well-equipped with useful things (sun hats even!). Ioanna was so hospitable and her English is impeccable which made our stay comfortable and easy.

The apartment was spotless and beautifully maintained. Ioanna is incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. Her care is evident in every detail—she thoughtfully selects everything in the apartment, including the products she provides for her guests.

Highly recommend to anyone visiting Athens/Glyfada. Ioanna was a lovely host, the room was spacious and clean with a modern private bathroom. There is a terrace with a view of the sea in the distance, where I sat in the mornings to have breakfast and watch the sunset in the evenings. Ioanna even made me her signature Greek moussaka one evening which was delicious. I will be recommending this place to all. See you soon Ioanna!

I enjoyed our stay. Very clean and peaceful environment. Building has elevator. The bedroom and private bathroom are spacious and modern. The bed was so comfortable. Sliding glass doors opened to large balcony with beautiful views and comfortable seating. The shared kitchen was a wonderful surprise. It is very clean and fully equipped. The refrigerator stocked with yogurt, produce and drinks. Breakfast breads/pastries, spices, etc! Everything available to guests! Convenient location. We are both in our 70’s. We walked and used public transportation while in Greece. Easy walk to bus stop that connects to metro and airport. Walked to local beach/marina, restaurants and grocery store. My favorite part was definitely Ioanna, the hostess. She clearly put her heart into providing a comfortable, private space for her guests. She is so kind, generous, thoughtful and was attentive to our needs. She talked with us about history, directions for public transportation, and places to eat. She invited us to join her on a trip to the central market. What an experience! She explained her strategy. I watched her in awe interacting with vendors and butchers as she purchased seafood, produce, spices and different kinds and cuts of meat. She was planning a feast for her friends! Ioanna and I had several deep conversations about life. Such an inspiration. Thank you, Ioanna. I will be back.

Il ne faut pas servir le petit déjeuner si c'est pour proposer des produits qui ne sont plus bons (dates passées, fin de bouteilles...). Nous aurions préféré que rien ne soit proposé et payer moins cher. Odeur/parfum dérangeant dans l'appartement principal. Peut-être que nous sommes tombés un mauvais jour ?

Ich hatte einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt bei Joanna !Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, gemütlich und mit eigenem Bad – einfach perfekt. Joanna ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, herzlich, hilfsbereit und immer erreichbar, wenn man etwas braucht. Ich habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt und kann die Unterkunft nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Generous room with nice bathroom lots of space perfect shower and an astonishing view. The bed is awesome with really anatomic pillows and a good mattress.

Ioanna ist eine sehr herzliche Dame, die uns mit einem sehr guten Frühstück verwöhnt hat. Es gab Pita mit Feta gefüllt und Omelette. Gurken, Tomaten, Früchte und natürlich Kaffee. Wir waren satt bis oben hin. Wir waren eine Nacht dort wegen Nähe zum Airport. Zimmer mit Terrasse im 4. Stock mit tollem Blick. Die beiden Zimmer sind ein Teil ihrer riesigen Wohnung. Ruhige Lage in einer Wohngegend. Wir würden da wieder hingehen.

Great place and great hostes, Ioanna. We enjoyed our stay and we recommend it to all. It is a beautiful homestay, and Ioanna is so kind. The breakfast she makes is delicious. Everything is exceptionally clean and the bed is very comfortable. The view from the balcony is just breathtaking.

È stato un piacevole soggiorno! Stanza matrimoniale (con fan, aria condizionata e balcone), stanza con bagno privato dotato di tutto il necessario (asciugamani, ciabatte, sapone ecc) e colazione preparata dall'host, non potevamo chiedere di meglio. Inoltre il quartiere è delizioso e molto sicuro ed è presente un piccolo giardino condiviso e un ascensore.

Ioanna's accommodation lives up to its name of Greek hospitality to 100%. The apartment is a 20-minute-walk from a beautiful beach in Voula, called 'Athines by the Sea,' where you'll find all the amenities, including loungers, umbrellas, showers, a beach bar and a restaurant for €8.50 per day. Perfect for a lovely time at the beach! Ioanna is one of the kindest, most generous hosts you could wish for. :) The accommodation is very spacious and rooms have a sea view! My room had a beautiful, large luxurious bathroom included and the view was stunning, overlooking the sea, I could watch the large ships passing by to and from Port of Piraeus — simply amazing, especially at night! Ioanna's apartment is decorated with great attention to detail and creativity; you simply feel at home. She welcomes you with a warm smile upon arrival and for breakfast, if I asked in advance, she prepared eggs any style or pita with feta cheese for me! Yamee!! The fridge is full of fruits, drinks and yogurts, she'd prepared for guests. I always was concerned about the costs, asked how much it is to take e.g. a piece of watermelon, she always replied: 'Nothing, that's Greek hospitality'!!! How lovely! If you need a parasol, she has one ready for you. She is there with 100% attention! But, best of all, Ioanna is a very open-minded woman, who knows how to advise in every situation. I had very deep, but also very funny talks/conversations with her! Mostly, the deep-talks about life topics in general were very insightful for me. She simply adapts to any of the guests' various requests. She's just amazing! The week I stayed with Ioanna, I had my birthday and didn't want to celebrate alone, so I asked her to accompany me to a restaurant and she made it work! Many thanks, Ioanna! If you want to feel at home, choose Ioanna! She is the best!

This is our 3rd year in a row staying here because we love it here so much!! It is the perfect location and it has amazing views of the city. Ioanna is a great host, made me feel at home from the first moment! Waited for me quite late when I arrived from the airport at night. The house was cozy and big, the bedroom was spacious with a nice balcony overlooking Glyfada. The fridge was full of good and tasty things. Thank you Ioanna for a safe, pleasant and family experience for someone traveling alone.

I arrived in Glyfada long before check-in—at 7:00 AM, to be exact. Despite the early hour, Ms. Ionna welcomed me with a warm smile and kind heart. She offered me tea and a delicious croissant. Soon after, I fell asleep on the terrace, lulled by the cool sea breeze and surrounded by a peaceful, serene atmosphere. From the very first moment, it felt like home. The rooms were beautifully decorated, with every detail thoughtfully considered. Most importantly, the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable—just as Ms. Ionna says, “A good sleep is essential.” The bathroom was spotless, and everything provided was of high quality. For instance, the shower gel was so creamy that even my typically dry skin felt soft and hydrated—no body lotion needed. The inclusion of sanitary pads was another thoughtful and considerate touch. From the moment I arrived, Ms. Ionna treated me with warmth and genuine affection—always respectful, yet caring. During our evening conversations, she shared wonderful stories from her rich and inspiring life, full of wisdom and warmth. One evening, we even took a magical night tour of Athens together! I also had the joy of cooking with her in the kitchen. She taught me a few tips—like how to make the perfect tzatziki. Her beet salad and fried veal liver were absolutely delicious. There were also plenty of delightful snacks available—frozen yogurt, mousse, and ice cream that I still find myself thinking about. Every moment of my stay was memorable, thanks to the cozy atmosphere of the home and, above all, the beautiful energy of Ms. Ionna. Thank you, Ms. Ionna, for your generous heart, refined taste, and love for art. I’m so grateful our paths crossed. One final note: If you’ve made a reservation, think twice before canceling. Ms. Ionna carefully prepares everything based on your needs—so long as you communicate with/inform her. Meeting this extraordinary woman will likely enrich your life.

Mrs. Ioanna is a very warm and welcoming host. She is happy to interact as much or as little as you wish, all the while respecting your privacy. Her entire home is spacious, well-maintained and exceptionally clean. The breakfast and snack options are abundant. The X97 (express 97) bus to/from the airport is a 10-12 minute walk from the home. If you're looking for a B&B with a lovely host, it doesn't get any better than this!

Our stay was too short!

Absolutely everything. Beautiful house in Glyfada, with an even more beautiful balcony. Host Joanna is kind, polite and made us feel very welcome in her house. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need: coffee, tea, pastries, water, juices, desserts. Everything. She also made us pitas with feta cheese for our day in the beach. Ionna the hostess offered choices including self-made pies and cakes we had omelets with and without vegetables toasted ham and cheese sandwich, cut peaches yogurt all the silverware couldn't ask for more! The location was about a mile and a half walk to the beach and several blocks to ATMs pharmacies fresh fruit and vegetable stands and bus stops. Quiet neighborhood filled with the aroma of sage which is planted everywhere, olive trees and lemon and orange trees.

Nothing could have been better everything was perfect The bathroom was immense with marble, a large rain spout and handheld shower tool good pressure and as hot as you could stand it. Any supplies you needed were in various drawers in the bathroom or if you needed anything within your imagination Ionna probably had it!

I literally loved EVERYTHING. This place is very special and it’s not just because it’s next to transport, with a beautiful view, spacious, clean, full of light and generosity. It’s particularly special because of the host and how lovely this woman is. It felt like home. She makes everything with her heart and that made the trip even more special ❤️ the neighborhood is excellent too and the bus is direct from the airport. Thank you Ioanna you truly embody everything beautiful about Hellenic Hospitality. I have been travelling my whole life never stayed in a place such as this one. Truly the best. Happy to say I found my home in Athens I will be back.
