Nikara Beach Villas Arugambay

Nikara is down the beach (and the noise) of Arugam bay. It’s nicer and cleaner than most of the bay. Rooms are decent and the young staff are enthusiastic and super friendly The sound of the waves is awesome

Like most of this area it has a slightly worn feeling. The beach is not swimmable but of 15 minutes walk down the beach.

The bed was comfortable, and the location was good- slightly out of town but only 300 rupees in a tuk tuk. Breakfast and coffee was good.

Unfortunately the property looks nothing like the photos. The place has a severe lack of management and is in need of a refurbishment. The grounds and outdoor area look unkept, reception area is untidy and unwelcoming, the sun loungers are dirty and need replacing. I booked this because it looks like a nice place to chill on the beach, however there are no beanbags as shown in photos and you can not go in the sea there. We booked a sea view room, there was not a sea view, instead we were facing an abandoned building and hard. The staff although friendly, need some training. It’s a group of young boys who sit around on their phones or playing games waiting for someone to arrive. We were sadly disappointed with our stay especially as it is one of the more expensive places in the area.

C’est un endroit joli, avec une jolie piscine vue sur mer. La literie était confortable. La nourriture était bonne. Le service bon.

Concernant la piscine cela reste très compliqué d’y rester longtemps car il y’a énormément de vent. Il y’a la mer, mais on ne peut pas se baigner car c’est trop dangereux donc c’est comme si elle n’était pas la. L’Espagne piscine est à nettoyer les transats sont vraiment en mauvaise état, et pas propre. Nous aurions aimé que dans les chambre les tapis de bain soient changés tous les jours , vu que c’est une douche sans paroie c’est évident que le sol est mouillé. Une légère odeur de remontée d’eau était présente caché par des parfums d’intérieur.

El lugar, la piscina mirando al mar, la comida está riquísima (tanto menú como desayuno), todo espectacular!! Las mejores instalaciones que hemos visto en Sri Lanka. Además muy limpio y con unos perritos y gato adorables!!! Se puede caminar fácilmente a la zona céntrica de Arugam Bay tanto por la playa como por la ciudad. Precioso el sitio y muy bien el servicio.

Todo el servicio está en la recepción, a la entrada del recinto. Si estás en la piscina generalmente no hay staff para pedir nada. Creo que deberían tener a alguien siempre ahí ya que es donde están los huéspedes, y así evitar tener que salir de la piscina y cruzar todas las villas para pedir un agua o un zumo. El servicio a veces también puede ser lento.

We had a great stay here. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. It's important to know that the beach is not suitable for swimming, so you have to go to Arugam Beach for that. Same for restaurants, although Nikara has a good restaurant on-site. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The pool area is lovely, and it's lovely that you can sit there and have food there instead of going to the restaurant. The restaurant area is also lovely, with a nice water view on the other side of the resort.

On Saturday night, there was a party at the pool and unfortunately, the loud music went on too long, until about 1:30 am. Not great for villas close to the pool, including the sea view room.

The place is lovely and overlooking the ocean. All staff were very friendly and helpful especially Akash who also arranged for a tour in nearby locations.

De crew is echt fantastisch, ze hebben ons verblijf echt heel fijn gemaakt. Niks is hen teveel, we hadden eerst een minder fijne kamer (nr 10) maar zodra het kon hebben ze ons omgeboekt. (nr 5) Ook het eten is erg lekker en je kunt er roomservice bestellen. Het bed in nr 5 lag heerlijk. Een van de betere tijdens onze reis.

De kamers zijn niet erg schoon, dat zou wel wat beter kunnen. Bijvoorbeeld de ventilators hebben smoezelige zwarte randen en vlekken op het tapijt en ook schimmel op de kitnaden in de badkamer.

It is in a quieter area of Arugambay and beachfront however you cannot swim there. The meals were pretty good. Comfortable bed. The head guy tried his best to look after us. It has potential but needs a makeover over around the pool and reception area. The rooms were good.

The room was not serviced during our 4 day stay. We were supplied water on arrival but then had to pay for it after that. We ate dinner in our room one night and had the plates left there for more than 24 hours until we finally took them back to reception. We didn’t want to leave them outside because of the dogs and monkeys. There is very little space to sit stuff in the room. The staff lack initiative and spend a lot of time sitting around on their phones however they are pleased to do something once you ask. It doesn’t live up to the photos especially the pool area which is older and needs a makeover. There is a ‘pool bar’ but there never seems to be anybody looking after it so if you want to get a drink, you need to go looking for a staff member.

Dejlig pool, lige ned til strande, hvor vælgerne dig for vilde til at bade i. Kan gå til Arugam Bay via stranden eller vejen via 15-20 min. Fine værelser med fint badeværelse.

Solsenge var gamle og slidte. Lavet i træ så ikke nemme at flytte. Gardiner på værelset trænger til at blive vasket

La atención del personal es encantadora. Las villas espaciosas y la que cogimos con vistas al mar y la piscina es muy cómodo. Nos ayudaron con las excursiones que queríamos hacer. El no poder bañarte en el mar tampoco es una gran pega, ya que tienes la piscina y si vas a Arugam es para hacer surf principalmente, con lo cual, tendrás que moverte de playas. Tuvieron el detalle de hacernos un muy buen desayuno para llevar haciendo el check out a las 5am.

Great location that was very relaxed plus had a great pool. Only a minute tuk tuk from town, which was great to visit then head home and escape some loud parties.

No coffee in the room, which was needed (I did ask)

Fantastic stay, great view and helpful friendly staff. The pool was lovely, and led out onto the beach for a lovely view of the ocean. They have pool towels too, although one day we couldn’t find any by the pool. Could hear the waves from our room which was nice and peaceful. Some cats and dogs on property who are all very friendly - a little kitten kept following us about / chilling on our balcony! Breakfast was lovely - option of western or Sri Lankan. The Sri Lankan breakfast was quite a big portion (have found that everywhere though), but is absolutely lovely and nice to try their local food. It is about 20-30 mins walk along the beach into the main centre. Room - nice big bed, comfy, air con worked. Relatively spacious. Bathroom was big. Had some beanbags outside to sit on which was nice to chill. They gave a welcome drink and leaving drink to takeaway which was a nice touch.

Nothing! A fridge in the room would be nice addition to keep water etc cool.

Couldn’t recommend this property enough! The staff cannot do enough for and were so accommodating. The rooms are lovely with a huge comfortable bed and the pool area was a lovely added bonus. Big thank you to Akash who even took us out one afternoon to go find wild elephants and crocodiles. Really lovely place to stay and the included breakfast was absolutely delicious - local food and huge portions!

First off all I have to say a huge thank you to Rama, the chef and the team for the most incredible food we’ve had in a nearly three week trip, it was absolutely delicious. We have honestly been looked after like we are family. Nothing was too much trouble, the team are so so kind and generous. Honey the cat and the dog are a friendly addition .. The villas are simple and clean. A beautiful pool awaits you at the rear of the villas with the ocean right at your door. I’m so happy we stay here for two nights that we actually stayed an extra night making it a three night stay as it was so relaxing. Do yourself a favour and stay here, you won’t regret it. Thank you for having us Mr Rama

Rama and his team do a wonderful job. They make you feel welcome and at home. Nikara Beach Villas is a quiet, relaxed place. No TV in the room, just great!. Excellent and plenty of food. If there is enough time they prepare just every Sri Lankan dish! It was difficult to leave... Very recommendable.

Where to start! I’m not usually one to leave reviews but our stay at Nikara Beach Villas was one of the best, most relaxing experiences we have had in Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and any request me made was dealt with in the blink of an eye. Rama, Lahiru, and Riyas made our stay wonderful. Not to mention that Honey, (the cat) became our shadow, and we loved it. Honey’s sister (cat) Peanut (the dog) and Peanut’s brother (also a dog) were also all very lovey and made our stay even more wonderful. The breakfast is most certainly a highlight of staying here. The food was all freshly, hand made, and local (we opted for Sri Lankan breakfast but a Western breakfast was also offered). By far the best way to start our days!

The internet wasn’t stable, Rama did do his best to help, however, if you’re dependent on internet, it may be an issue.

Mr. Rama and his staff has made this stay the most comfortable one in Sri Lanka. We were here out of season and the we had the place practicaly all to ourselves. The pool has a beautiful location by the beach, the rooms are spacey and the bed is huge and comfortable. But above all is mr. Ramas kindness and hospitality. They make incredible breakfasts, from western to Sri Lankan to south Indian food, whatever your heart desires. The portions are huge, you can eat the breakfast, skip lunch and just eat dinner. :) By the way, you can get free fruit plates and coconuts delivered to you to the pool ;) We highly recommend.

We liked everything about this place. First of all there is to say that the staff, Ramana, Lahiru and Riyad did an amazing job making our stay super enjoyable. The best service ever, super nice food, very cozy bungalows, nice pool, and the beach right next to the Bungalows. if we had more time we would have stayed longer. We had the most wonderful stay at Nikara Villas, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of Sanah and his team. Everyone was incredibly friendly, kind, and always ready to help, making us feel so welcome. Our villa was perfectly clean and comfortable, and even had filtered water from the bathroom taps - a small detail that we really appreciated. Waking up to the soothing sounds of waves and birdsong, with stunning views of both the sea and the pool right outside our doorstep, was exactly what we needed for some much needed rest and relaxation. The location is perfect - just a short walk along the beach to the centre of Arugam Bay. The food was absolutely delicious, thanks to the Chef Saman and his team. We even had a Sri Lankan cooking class with Saman, which was so much fun - we learned so much and I can't wait to try the recipes at home. The team are also so helpful at providing great local recommendations, from bike rentals and surfing lessons to tips on where to spot elephants. Thank you to the entire Nikara team for making our stay so peaceful, memorable, and special. I hope to return one day.

We had an excellent stay! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The food was outstanding, and the staff were happy to cook anything we requested — a special thanks to Lahiru the chef and Pravin for their wonderful service. The manager was also very helpful and attentive to all our needs. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Wish the wifi was better

Sehr sympathische und hilfsbereite Angestellte, die das Hotel managen und bei allen Fragen und Wünschen behilflich sind. Ich habe eine tolle Safari zum Kununa Nat.park organisiert bekommen und konnte auch meinen Transfer nach Ella in die Berge per Privat-PKW günstiger als im Internet bekommen. Besonders Praveen, Akash und Ramanayaka möchte ich hier speziell erwähnen und loben! 👏 Die Lage ist prima, direkt am Strand mit Pool, ruhig, da zurückgesetzt von der Strasse. Zwischen Arugam und Pottuvil gelegen. Zu Fuß benötigt man etwa 20 Minuten nach Arugam, wo das touristische Leben pulsiert. Sehr leckere Frühstücksangebote und sehr schöne Zimmer/Villas mit sauberem, schönen Bad.

Very nice staff! Akkash gave us a private tour through Arugam Bay. We saw many elephants and birds, and he told us a lot about the city and its culture. The accommodation also has a beautiful swimming pool, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

Hebben hier een top tijd gehad! Mooie ligging, net (1min) buiten de drukte van Arugam Bay. Mooie, losstaande villa's met een onwijs goed bed! Zwembad is mooi, en er zijn goede ligbedden aanwezig. Daarnaast echt top personeel! Akash heeft ons vriendelijk verwelkomd, en ons thuis laten voelen. Nam ons mee om in de buurt olifanten te gaan zoeken!

De douches waren vier van de zes keer koud / lauw. Ligt aan het strand, maar er liggen heel veel stenen in de zee. Zwemmen in de zee is dus niet echt aan te raden

We loved everything about Nikara Beach Villa. The place was very serene, not too far from main Arumgam Bay but still a good short distance to enjoy some quiet time. The staff were all great. They were very attentitive, helpful and always had a smile on their face. The staff made our stay special. On the fist night our bedside lamps did not work and once we reported it they sorted out straight away. It was place we felt very comfortable and could have stayed longer!

The cockroaches but that comes with the nature of where we were. The staff were very helpful in offering to clean the bathroom where the cockroaches keep coming into.

So good, the staff were the most friendly people you could meet. They all enjoyed themselves, but could not do more for us . They even gave us a packed lunch when we left… pool was great, right on the beach.

Nikara is a true paradise in Sri Lanka. Right on the beach with its own refreshing pool. A fifteen-minute walk along the beach will take you to the heart of bustling Arumgan Bay, and a tuk-tuk ride will get you there in just a few minutes. The breakfast is delicious, and they even arrange a breakfast box if you're leaving early on safari. The staff is very friendly and speaks good English. The owner is wonderful and always up for a chat. We even booked an extra night because we loved it there so much.

Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend und außerdem sehr hilfsbereit. Sie haben uns sogar geholfen, als wir Probleme mit unserem TukTuk hatten und waren sehr bemüht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Der Pool und die Außenanlagen sind sehr schön und gepflegt und das Hotel liegt in etwas abseits vom Trubel in Arugam Bay an einem leeren Strand.

Das WLAN hat in unserem Bungalow nicht funktioniert (Nr. 9).

Prachtige ruime nieuwe huisjes aan de kust. Huisjes zijn van alle gemakken voorzien en vrijstaand dus met veel privacy.

Er stond in de beschrijving “aan het strand”, en daarvoor hadden we deze accommodatie ook geboekt. Echter “aan de zee” was een betere omschrijving geweest aangezien je er niet de zee in kan omdat daar geen strand is. In tegenstelling tot veel reviews waarin men aangeeft dat het op loopafstand van het centrum is, vonden wij het best een eindje weg, zeker vanwege het verkeer. Dus lopen was voor ons geen optie. Dat is ook de reden dat we er maar 1 nacht zijn gebleven en vervolgens nog een paar nachten echt aan het strand ( en echt op loopafstand van alle faciliteiten) hebben verbleven

The staff was amazing. The most friendly and fun people we’ve met in Sri Lanka. Their energy and kindness made our stay. Furthermore the place is great. It’s beautiful and quiet, the food is good and the atmosphere very relaxed. Would 100% recommend this. Again, the staff is the best!

Everything was perfect, only one thing is good to take in mind: because of the rocks and the roughness of the ocean, it’s not really possible to swim in front of the hotel. For that you should go to the town of Arugam Bay (15 min walk or 5 by free bike). And bring ear plugs. Arugam Bay is party! You can hear it, but even though the Accomodation is some what remote.

Es sind sehr schöne und geräumige Holzhütten in denen man schläft. Frühstück kann zwischen 4 leckeren Gerichten ausgewählt werden. Es kann am Pool oder an der Rezeption gefrühstückt werden. An der Rezeption konnten wir sogar einen morgen beim Frühstück Elefanten sehen. Die Lage ist super. Die Unterkunft ist an der Hauptstraße aber nicht direkt in der Stadt, sodass man in der Natur im ruhigen ist und innerhalb von 10 Minuten in die Stadt zu allen Restaurants laufen kann. Es ist ebenfalls möglich die ganze Zeit am Strand entlang zu laufen, bis zu den Beach Bars. Das Personal ist super. Sie sind alle sehr hilfsbereit und ermöglichen jeden Wunsch. Sei es das buchen einer Safari, die Wäsche oder die Fahrräder die vom Hotel ausleihbar sind.

Es gab in den Holzhütten ein paar Ameisen und kleine Geckos. Das war für uns aber absolut nicht schlimm.

Super vriendelijke mensen. Fijn dat het net buiten het drukkere centrum ligt. Lekker eten! Schoon zwembad.

Tolles Ambiente, sauberer Pool und super Ausblick auf das Meer (man kann dort aber nicht schwimmen, da zu hohe Wellen). Das Personal ist ausgesprochen nett und hilfsbereit. Würde es jedem empfehlen!

El alojamiento supero nuestras expectativas. La piscina a pie de playa era espectacular. Los empleados eran muy amables.

Lage des Hotels direkt am Strand, außerhalb von Arugam Bay, was wir nicht als Nachteil empfunden haben, da ruhig. Am Strand ist man nach 15 Minuten Spaziergang in Arugam Bay. Vordere Bungalows in schönerer Lage Es gibt ein Restaurant, das nahe der Straße liegt. Allerdings ist es auch möglich, mit Strandblick in der Nähe des Pools zu essen.

It’s a longer walk down to Arugam Bay than we expected (about 30mins, so not too bad but long enough to not make it easy to pop in and out); we also had one night of our stay where it was verrryy noisy from a neighbouring bar or party which went on late into the night; all of our towels had some stains on them

Hadden hier echt een heerlijk verblijf. De kamers zijn prachtig en het personeel heel vriendelijk. De gastheer is super behulpzaam en doet alles om met je mee te denken. Het zwembad was ook top en we kregen het lekkere ontbijt aan het zwembad.

De zee bij het verblijf is deze maand te ruig om in te zwemmen, dus om in de zee te zwemmen moet je in stuk lopen.

The staff were amazing, Sama, Damit, and Akash were so attentive and could not have been more helpful. The location is just perfect, walking location to the centre. The food was delicious, the rooms were beautiful and cleaned at request. They could not be more helpful. 5stars10 out 10. I cannot find any faults I highly recommend

I loved it all

Es un hotel que no merece la pena por lo que vale. Lo único que está bien es la piscina con vistas al mar pero la playa que hay delante del hotel no es apta para baño por lo que es mejor ir a otro hotel en otra zona si buscas buena playa

En dos días no limpiaron la habitación ni hicieron las camas.El desayuno muy básico.Para nada se corresponde con un hotel de 5 estrellas . El baño es propio de un hostal barato y carece de instalaciones que se correspondan con lo que pagas.Si hubiera tenido posibilidad de cancelar la reserva cuando llegamos me habría ido a otro.En Arugam Bay vimos hoteles mil veces mejores y más baratos. No nos dieron toallas de lavabo y cuando las pedimos nos dieron como una balleta. Las toallas las secan en un descampado que hay enfrente del hotel donde pasan de todo tipo de animales.No suelo escribir comentarios negativos sobre los hoteles pero en este caso se lo han ganado con creces

L’emplacement est conforme aux attentes. Pas loin du centre mais à l’écart du bruit. Le personnel comme souvent au Sri Lanka est très souriant et très agréable. Avec une volonté de bien faire.

Aucun service - pas de nettoyage de la villa (chambre et salle de bains) - pas de changement de serviettes - pas de changement de draps. - les poubelles ne sont même pas vidées Impossible de se baigner en face de la villa La formule petit déjeuner incluse : pas clairement expliquée. Le site dans son ensemble et son environnement proche pas fidèle aux nombreuses photos sur l’établissement.

Extérieurs incroyables, la piscine est vraiment dingue! L’emplacement est super aussi, il suffit de 3 minutes de tuk tuk pour arriver dans arugam. Sinon 15 / 20 mins à pieds suffisent aussi! Le personnel était vraiment au petit soin c’était un grand plaisir d’avoir été dans ce logement

Rigtig god beliggenhed ved stranden. Super betjening af personalet / fik anbefalet et hotel videre i min rejse, som også var super ! Meget opmærksomme på gæsternes behov. Arrangerede en god safaritur til Kumana national park, med en god chauffør og til billige penge

Super établissement ! Le personnel est génial, l’emplacement est top (à seulement 2 minutes du centre ville). Je recommande à 100%.

Bella la struttura nel complesso con piscina, vista e affaccio sul mare (non balneabile per via delle onde alte e scogli a riva). Personale gentile e accogliente. Ideale per chi cerca un soggiorno tranquillo e distante dalla movida della baia.

Al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato gli asciugamani macchiati e subito ce li hanno cambiati. La posizione non è il massimo perché per arrivare alla baia di arugam bay bisogna camminare per più di 20 minuti. Ma la cosa peggiore è la camera: non c’è cassaforte, non c’è un asciugacapelli e non c’è il frigorifero; pulizia scarsissima data la numerosa presenza di insetti e ragni, che hanno fatto ragnatele ovunque ,come per esempio sulla borsa lasciata sul tavolo la notte prima. Per concludere il giorno del check-out c’era un bel ragno che camminava sul nostro letto. Sconsigliato per gli aracnofobici e per chi mette al primo posto la PULIZIA.

Het voelt dubbel om deze review te schrijven. Nikara Beach Villa's ligt net buiten het drukke Arungambay aan het strand. De tuin en locatie is goed, het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en staan voor je klaar. Het ontbijt is goed, alsook de gerechten die ze serveren. De kaart is uitgebreid en er is bediening aan het zwembad. De bedden liggen goed, airco was ook goed.

Dit is geen vijf sterren hotel zoals is aangeven maar brengen wel deze prijs voor een kamer in rekening. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding klopt niet. Bij een vijf sterren hotel verwacht je geen vlekken in de handdoeken en in het bedlinnen. Ze waren wel schoon. Dit hoort niet bij een 5 sterren hotel: -De kamers worden niet tussendoor schoongemaakt en je krijgt geen schone handdoeken tussendoor. - Er is geen kluisje, geen föhn en je hebt maar twee handdoeken, geen kleine handdoekjes. Dun plastic wc bril. - De kwaliteit van het onderhoud is slecht; stekker van de lamp viel uit elkaar. De douche in een van de twee huisjes waar we verbleven was niet warm. - De receptie is zeer armoedig en wordt met tape bij elkaar gehouden.

De bedden waren heerlijk. Na drie weken was dit een verademing. Mooie kamers, vriendelijk personeel.

De kamers worden niet standaard schoongemaakt of voorzien van schone handdoeken. Zou je voor de prijs wel mogen verwachten. Bij aanvraag werd het wel gedaan overigens.

La verdad es que me gustó todo pero la piscina al lado de la playa salvaje me pareció lo mejor. Coore el aire y estas solo.. una maravilla. La gente que atendía una maravilla.

Some of the staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us with our requests. When we made complaints they addressed them fairly and quickly.

There is a shabby air to the hotel and it really doesn't live up to its pictures. Our group stayed their for nine days but they never serviced the rooms once. Also, despite booking months in advance for a fairly significant amount of time, they gave us their worst rooms, including one where the aircon didn't work. When we complained they did however fix the aircon and also moved us a day later to better rooms. However even there, the basin leaked and the rusted soap holder in the shower fell off and broke. This too had to be repaired. While we were staying there they also were doing renovations to the adjacent unit and so in the afternoon while resting we had to contend with noise from power tools. Arugam Bay is short on quality stays for family groups and we booked this spot thinking we had found something decent. But we were disappointed.

Quiet aera, no Street noise

A hotel located outside the town, in a quiet area. That in itself is not a problem. No noise from the Streets. It’s a fairly new resort, but you wouldn’t be able to tell at all. The rooms don’t feel fresh, the shower and towels are shabby (although washed), but everything is looks shabby and a bit dirty. The shower was broken already. The sheet of the bed was not clean the first night, I got a new one, nobody assisted me to change it. The rooms feel Like a bare minimum comparable to the price Around the pool there were cigarettes on the ground. If you book through a booking site including all fees and taxes, you’ll suddenly find a service charge added to your bill — more than 10% of the total. We didn’t receive any service. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, and the rooms were cleaned for three days. and whenever we asked for something, it took a long time to be arranged. The staff spoke very poor English at reception. When we questioned the service charge, it was taken Quickly of the bill.Definitely not good value for the price.

The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them. Loved the room it was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable. The pool was 10/10. Would have loved to stay longer it was very relaxing

My mum and I had such a lovely stay at Nikara Beach Villas during our trip around Sri Lanka. The accommodation (just outside of) Arugam Bay met all my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. As mentioned the villas are located just outside the main Arugam Bay area, which makes for a peaceful and quiet stay. It’s about a 2-minute Tuk Tuk ride into town, so very convenient. We also enjoyed walking along the beach a few times during the day to explore, though it took around 20 minutes to reach the main beach spot with restaurants and beach bars. The owner was especially kind he even gave us a lift into town one day, which was extremely thoughtful and appreciated.

The food was a solid 9/10. The rooms were spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The location was amazing. It was just 2 minutes away from arugam bay. Really kind people too

Great Hotel, nice pool, super friendly staff

We had a great stay at Nikara Beach Villas with our two kids. It’s just a 2-minute tuk-tuk ride from Arugam Bay, so you’re close to everything but far enough to avoid the party noise — falling asleep to the sound of the waves was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly, and we loved the breakfast. We’d definitely come back!

Very quiete, bit away from the busy Arugambay street, which was a good thing. Also facing the beach so you can go there anytime. Everything was very clean and very freindly staff. Breakfast is simple, but good. For the price its a good deal.

No milk to make tea, a must for this level hotel. A TV would good addition too.

A beautiful, well-maintained place with a stunning pool overlooking the ocean. The cottages are very comfortable, and the owners are incredibly kind, with a unique, individual approach to each guest. The staff are warm, friendly, and very helpful. The breakfasts are the best regional breakfasts we have ever had, and all the dishes at the restaurant were truly delicious. The hotel is perfectly located, just a 3-minute tuk-tuk ride from the centre, ensuring peace and a comfortable, relaxing stay. It was a wonderful time, and we were truly sad to leave. I would love to come back one day.

So far, by far the best service in Sri Lanka. The staff were amazing, polite, they are professional yet make You feel like You're at home. Service was comparable to a good 5* hotel in Europe. The location is great, with amazing beachside, and the yard is absolutely perfect for relaxing vacation, pictures dont do it justice. It's 3 min tuktuk ride to Arugam Bay, yet its secluded and peaceful

The staff was excellent!! Nice comfortable villa’s, great swimming pool and beach Area. Having breakfast and lunch near the beach with a great view!

No fridge in the room

The location; the garden and pool area are simple but nice. The staff onsite was very nice and polite - they made the stay nicer.

The room was not ready for check-in until 6pm (we waited more than 1h - 3 people moved to clean once they saw us). Something wrong between the management/booking people and the people working on-site. The tables and chairs were sticky - we guessed that because it was beginning of the season - they were not ready for guests yet. In the end they reduced on the price charged to compensate for the check-in troubles.

The pool is really lovely. The staff are very helpful. Fantastic breakfasts and great food for other meals. It's in a quiet area, 1km walk to the village.
