Had a peaceful sleep the place is nice and foresty like the nature. Beds and room was well cleaned. Staff is great too

The forest feel with lots of spot to sit and enjoy the nature is lovely. 1st night there we had a fire in the fire pit which was a nice meeting point for travelers to connect. Free tea, coffee and books to read. The shared kitchen was full equipped with everything you would need to cook. The location is great. Wi-fi was strong.

I came in winter, and even though there was an extra blanket on the bed, it was extremely cold in the room. So bringing a water bottle with you will help with this.

The linen had blood stains on all the beds. The place smelt of damp. We left early as the place was unbearable. Communal fridge had old/ off food as well as dirty. Not the place i will recommend

Always a friendly welcome and homely feeling. It's a backpackers, not a hotel. So expect a more humble but fun and creative vibe and decor. Personally I love it, always a soft landing.

This particular night there was one really noisy guy staying there who woke me up several times in the night with noisy talking, and walking around with heavy steps. But mostly the crowd it attracts are very considerate of there's and I sleep well

The bed was comfortable the door lock worked and the shower had hot water

Great backpackers, rustic, calm, hippy, deep in nature, nice outdoor boma bar area, great outdoor seating and braai/fires. Great location and access to nature.

Great location and vibey bar and communal areas but our double room was still peaceful and far enough away from the action. Relaxed atmosphere and an interesting mix of people around. Bed was very comfortable.

The property is great value but things are getting a bit tired - for example cover on drains in shower have broken and toilet required lifting cistern lid to flush it. These are minor inconveniences though. Also don't forget your mosquito repellent because the mosquitos here are plentiful thanks to the nearby river.

Le bungalow familial est très bien. Le couchage est de qualité et tout était propre. La cuisine commune est doté de tout le nécessaire. Un peu a l'écart du lieu de vie: concert, lieu de restauration, lieu de jeux. Le site est très joli. Si vous etes un adepte du silence total : ce n'est pas pour vous car il peu y avoir des concerts. Nous avons beaucoup aimé la localisation et le quiétude des lieux + bonne occasion d'échanger avec d'autres personnes si vous le souhaitez.

Our family room was clean and we could lock the door. It's next to Ebb and Flow and the river is lovely.

The kitchen, bathroom, reception and living space is not clean. The bathroom tap leaks 24 hrs a day and they are in a serious drought. The place is overbooked. Campers should have their own facilities.

L'accueil, plutôt cool, la possibilité de dîner sur place, le bar et l'ambiance du soir. C'est très hippie et années 70 au 21 siècle. L'endroit est top et proche d'attractivités multiples.

Dommage que les afrikaans n'aiment pas entrer en contact avec des gens différents et d'ailleurs, ils aiment rester entre eux. J'ai trouvé l'ambiance un peu sectaire de ce point de vue.

The DIRTIEST bathrooms, showers and toilets you’ll come across in your LIFE, the two Managers (a couple) are very dirty, on the day I checked in, it seemed like the man had not showered for DAYS, they’ll clean their noses with their hands and then hand you a towel, the rugs in the showers look like they had not been washed for a decade, everything is DIRTY and disgusting

Understand I visited over busy holiday season, but there was no space in the communal fridges or kitchen lockers to store food. It's a pity, since I've had a previous positive stay at this backpackers and my experience then was polar opposite. My advice - stay away during peak season if you're planning on making use of kitchen facilities.

The grounds were really beautiful and inviting. A lovely bar area and kitchen with assorted options for meals.

Pretty location, room was in original Wilderness building. Character and charm. Family rooms were perfectly clean and comfortable.

Typical of any backpackers- kitchen was as clean as last person left it! Bad leak in the bathrooms meant water all over the bathroom floor

Showers did not work and dirty. Noise from upstairs. Unreasonable peopie.

The location was great. The bedding was comfy.

Our room was in an old building with wooden floors. Any movement in the room above us woke us… people coming in late were noisy. Our room was in my opinion over priced for the lack of space/comfort and the fact that we had to share a bathroom.

Auberge à 30 minutes de marche du centre ville mais à proximité immédiate des sentiers de randonnée. Au milieu de la nature ! Personnel très aidant.

I LOVED the bed and the pillows. The staff were super friendly and the environment was very nice. I loved all the green in the area.

It's not as close to the beach as I had thought. The shower had no hot water (to be fair, I didn't report it at the time and maybe it could have been fixed).

Location is excellent, very casual and relaxed, cotton linen was a real bonus.

Maintenance issues - gas to hob in shared kitchen leaks, kitchen sink outlet leaked, no cold tap in basin of shared bathroom, hot water tap of basin leaked, toilet cistern leaked, lots of small things that need to be attended to.

Wonderful location with beautiful flowers, trees and animals. Wonderful service, the staff were very accommodating and helpful.

The fantastic atmosphere

The location was great and we appreciated that there was a kitchen we could use. We were able to walk to town and to a nearby walking trail. We loved the birdwatching nearby and even on the property!

We stayed during a cold snap and our room was very cold and the hot water was unreliable 🥶 We missed an indoor common area to sit, warm up and eat or read.

I absolutely loved my room. It had 2 single beds, which was exactly what I wanted. It was clean. The shared bathrooms and showers were clean. The communal kitchen was also kept very clean. The views were amazing, wasn't very hard to find and walking on the property was absolutely spectacular with beautiful trees and beautiful scenery.

I can not comment on anything I didn't like if I am completely honest. This was a great experience and great location all around. The staff were friendly and helpful. Booking in and out was a breeze. I have absolutely nothing that I didn't like.

Live local music Good vibes

What a great find. Lovely atmosphere. Very tasty food. Amazing staff. You won't find better value in South Africa. Sitting round the fire or listening to local live music in the bar, in a totally relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by great people.

People smoking dagga around my kids, door had no keys and people just walked in at 02:30 in the mornings where my kids sleeping, we given a room upstairs and had to clime a ladder with our heavy bags . no good
