Riad Kniza

It is amazing place with traditional Moroccan style and Andalusian style, it returns me back 1000 years ago as if I’ve stepped into a time machine. It sounds magical and relaxable, All the staff was helpful and servant, also the breakfast was so delicious and with a high quality. Everything was amazing and not forgettable.

The location of the Riad is inside a local and very poor traditional market. To reach the Riad we have to go through uncomfortable alleys with more motorcycles that runs beside you very fast. So the way to the Riad was not easy and full of fear.

Mohamed the grandson of the owner is a true gem, he is such a smiley and good hearted person, super attentive and accommodated all our requests. The rest of the team is equally attentive and helpful and gone above and beyond to make our stay a great experience. The food at the restaurant is delicious, do not expect large menu though every dish is carefully prepared with love! The room was spotless with cleaning services every time we were leaving the room! The decoration of the Riad was like living a dream. The location is at the edge of the old town with immediate access to lots of local shops. Also highly recommend to take a one hour massage, one of the most relaxing my wife and I ever have!

The staff were so professional, approachable and friendly. The two ladies at the front desk were exceptional. The experience upon arrival of having Moroccan tea and pastries and the room we had them in made for the best greeting we have ever experienced. The Riad is a 15 minute walk from Jemma el Fna square and the pool at the Riad was lovely and cool after a day of exploration of Marrakech. The breakfast was great and made even more enjoyable by being able to have it up on the terrace. The room and furnishings were beyond expectations. All our needs were met by staff. Overall the most amazing and wonderful experience.

This property is exceptional! The care and detail of the common areas and rooms was so much more than we expected. We felt like we were royalty with all the rich colors, fine art and palatial sitting areas. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and we felt like we were treated more like friends than just guests. The food in the restaurant - we had the traditional tanjine - was excellent, and the location of the riad meant that everything - from restaurants and cafes, to the shopping areas, was in easy walking distance. One of the highlights of our stay was Mohammed, the owner of the Riad. He showed us his private museum, with exquisite Moroccan antiques, curated from his years of collecting for his antiques business. He was so passionate and knowledgable about Moroccan history, and shared this info in a beautiful way. We will DEFINITELY come back to Morocco someday, and will definitely stay at Riad Kniza!

It was one of the best experiences that we had in Morocco, for sure we will come back, the attention that they put to make every guest feel welcomed, we also met the owner of the Riad and he welcomed us, the artwork and each time you look into a corner you can see new details of the craftsmanship that was put into this Riad. It’s a must to stay in a riad to get the full experience, I can’t recommend it enough, it was amazing, it’s so quiet inside and calming, opposite to the outside in the Medina. They welcome you with a tea when you enter while they do your check-in, your job it’s just to relax and enjoy your time. You can also take advantage of the Hamam experience or massages that they offer, it’s definitely worth it. The breakfast it’s also quite filling.

We absolutely loved this place and couldn’t be happier!! It was close enough to walk everywhere but far enough to feel private and secluded. It was traditional, beautifully, decorated and clean. Breakfast on the rooftop was so nice and very filling! The staff were exceptional - so welcoming and helpful. They went above and beyond to help with other things eg we got sick and they helped get medical advice, made special food arrangements and helped get luggage to the main taxi area (as the Riad is not accessible for cars from the main road- you should be aware that you need to walk to and from the Riad for 5 mins on a bumpy road with luggage, before you book)

They need to keep an iron for guests otherwise property is excellent. It’s not about dislike rather an essential feature which is missing. They are also missing a fridge but then it could be the culture of how Riad is suppose to be. A fridge and iron would help a lot

Le jeune homme qui nous a accueilli de nuit a très agréable et accueillant. Le propriétaire Mohamed est un homme charmant avec lequel nous avons aimé converser et qui nous a présenté avec passion son musée personnel sur l'art et l'histoire du Maroc. Les chambres sont spacieuses. A noter que l'hotel est situé dans la médina et n'est donc pas accessible directement en voiture, il faut prévoir quelques minutes de marche avec ses bagages dans une ruelle pavée et populeuse.

nous avions une grande chambre au rez-de-chausée, il y avait le vis-à-vis de la coursive, nous devions donc fermer les volets, ce qui rendait la chambre sombre en journée. La salle de bains manquait aussi d'éclairage. et la température de l'eau de la douche/baignoire était instable/ difficile à régler.

El desayuno es bueno pero todos los días es lo mismo y al tercer día cansa un poco, la oferta de cocina se centra solo en comida marroquí y con pocos platos, sería bueno que ofreciera algún plato más de cocina internacional.

I loved the rooftop for breakfast and dinner. The room was impeccable. The location of the road is excellent right near the soul where you can see real life Marrakech. All the staff were so welcoming and very helpful.

Мне понравился очень персонал, чистота, интерьер и уютные номера. Но вода в бассейне была очень холодная и купаться было максимально некомфортно .

Это мой первый раз в Марокко и может быть я чего-то не знаю, но в моем понимании, если отель пишет что у них есть бассейн, он подразумевает, что там комфортная температура для безопасного купания. А это от 25 градусов и выше. Я не могла находиться в бассейне более 5 минут даже в 35 градусную жару на улице, и воспользовалась им всего 1 раз , даже при этом я переохладилась и заболела в итоге. Я считаю что это можно пересмотреть. Не думаю, что всем гостям тоже комфортна такая температура, по ощущениям, там не было больше 20 градусов и почти никто не купался , термометра воды для измерения не было.

Stepping through the front door was like entering a sanctuary from the noise and bustle of the Medina. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming including the owner himself.

We stayed 5 nights. We would have appreciated a bit more variety with the breakfast. Fresh fruit. Also, the bathroom had no racks to hang towels.

Bulundugu bölge berbat. Kac kez midem bulandı gidene kadar otele hatırlamıyorum. Kusmamak için zor durdum. Eski Medina ve çarşılar çok iğrenç berbat. Bence riad temiz ama konumy gercekten çook kötü.

Mohammad was so welcoming and kind. So great to meet him and hear of the families history at the Riad. The location is in the middle of a lot of market activity that was a little overwhelming in our first visit but he did everything he could to help us while we were there.

We stayed in a suite. Exceptional clean everywhere. Attended personal who clean the room twice a day. We can't complain about anything else. Good and fresh breakfast. We can recommend anyone to this place.

It has nothing to do with the riad itself. The location is good. But the surrounding area is less nice.

Very authentic decor not only in the room but around the entire Riad. It was truly a beautiful experience and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I felt safe during my stay and inside the Riad. The rooms are clean and bathroom is spacious and clean. The location of the Riad was also ideal, only a short minute walk to the end of the road where you can hail cabs.

Shower pressure could’ve been better and the hot tap in the sink didn’t really work. Lighting is very dim so could’ve been a bit brighter and having a long mirror in the room would’ve been handy. The padlock to lock the door is quite fiddly.

Super clean, great location, the restaurant had the best food we've ever had in Morocco. Everything was so fresh and service was super kind and attending. We also booked massages and as someone who does a lot of massages, I can tell that it was one of the best relax massages I've ever had! The room was super clean and quiet and we had such a good rest. Would definitely recommend this place!

Un vrai havre de paix en plein cœur de la médina. Le riad est superbe, très bien entretenu, avec une ambiance authentique et chaleureuse. Les chambres sont confortables, propres et décorées avec beaucoup de goût. Mention spéciale pour l’accueil et la gentillesse du personnel, toujours disponible et aux petits soins du début à la fin du séjour.

Great location, walking distance from everywhere you need to see when in Marrakesh. Breakfast was great. The staff were unbelievably helpful and it couldn’t have been cleaner. You can get a local beer here unlike many Riads.

Can’t think of anything to say here. There was nothing we didn’t like.

The rooms are dark and we are elderly so hard to see. (They did bring us an extra lamp upon request however). Stairs are steep and winding. No elevator so not handicap accessible.

Fabulous Upscale Riad - that has hosted so many Hollywood celebrities! An Oasis in Marrakesh. Traditional decor but super modern bathrooms/AC etc. Perfect location close to taxi stand for airports and souks/restaurants.

A Riad é bem cuidada, limpa e bem localizada dentro da Medina , é perto das portas de entradas que é bem importante quando se sai à noite. Achei os funcionários solícitos e prontos a ajudar com reservas e inclusive a contratação de guia, que por sinal foi excelente!

The staff were fantastically helpful and the riad was beautiful. It had a large peaceful roof terrace which was lovely after a long day walking through the Medina.The set menu in the restaurant was more like a tasting menu and every dish was fresh and delicious.

Beautiful Riad with a number of different courtyards and seating areas. Lovely, relaxing rooftop space with comfortable seating and sun loungers. Delicious and plentiful, freshly prepared breakfast. Comfortable and spacious bedroom with its own seating area. Drinks were available to order throughout the day.

I would have liked some communication from the hotel before arrival. The swimming pool was too cold to swim in. Spa, hammam needed to be pre-booked - if we had known this, we would have pre-booked to use it on arrival. No information about what was available in the hotel and prices - eg. hammam, drinks, restaurant menu. We were never able to get the WiFi connection to work.

Loved everything from the Moroccan design to excellent service. Mohamed, the owner has had this riad and home for many generations. The staff will help you organize your stay and helped us with a driver and guide over the Atlas mountains to Ait Benhaddou and other desert destinations. The Riad is very authentic and the Morrocan design and antiques are gorgeous.

Riad Kniza was truly beautiful, thanks to its exceptional location in a historic 18th-century setting, which has been wonderfully restored and impeccably maintained. The cleanliness was flawless, with delicate touches such as rose petals thoughtfully arranged throughout the house, in the room, and across the property, creating a refined and welcoming atmosphere. The service was discreet yet attentive, striking a perfect balance, and the Moroccan continental breakfast was simply outstanding - the pastries, in particular, were of superior quality, among the best we tasted during our entire trip to Morocco. The hammam experience was also a lovely addition. We would also like to highlight the excellent location of the property, ideally situated near one of the city gates in a pleasant and safe area of the Medina, making it both convenient and enjoyable to explore. The view from the rooftop is truly superb — especially at golden hour — with breathtaking perspectives over the Koutoubia Mosque and the Atlas Mountains. It was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful views we experienced during our rooftop explorations. We especially appreciated the personal touch from the owner, who kindly greeted us during the first evening of our stay. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

If we were to offer one small suggestion, it would be to consider adding a walk-in shower, either instead of or in addition to the bathtub, as this may be more convenient for some guests. We stayed in the largest room of the riad, so it is possible that other rooms are already equipped with walk-in showers. Additionally, having a small in-room station with a coffee machine and facilities for tea and coffee would be a lovely enhancement. These are only minor suggestions — everything else was truly wonderful. Once again, thank you for such a delightful experience.

The property was amazing! The detail and the rooftop made it so special! The staff were great they offer room service and are very attentive and willing to offer directions/help for anywhere you need to go! They clean your room multiple times a day I could not get over how good the service was. Would definitely stay again!

Εξαιρετικό Riad με εκπληκτικούς εσωτερικούς χώρους. Τα δωμάτια είναι μεγάλα άνετα και πολύ παραδοσιακά. Το προσωπικό είναι απίστευτο. Φροντίζουν για όλα με ένα τεράστιο χαμόγελο. Τους ευχαριστούμε πολύ. Η υποδοχή με τσάι μέντας και γλυκίσματα είναι υπέροχη. Ο ιδιοκτήτης είναι εκεί για να ενδιαφερθεί αν περνάμε ωραία. Το σημείο που βρίσκεται εξυπηρετεί σε όλες τις μετακινήσεις και τις εξωτερικές δραστηριότητες.

Πιθανόν η μη ύπαρξη ψυγείου και παντόφλες δωματίου. Πολύ μικρές λεπτομέρειες που δεν αλλοιώνουν την υπέροχη διαμονή.

We loved it was close to the airport and Medina. We rarely used taxis to get about and easily walked around. The Road was spotlessly clean, food exceptional and staff very friendly and helpful. The Riad also has a small museum next door dedicated to Morocco, its history and culture ! Well worth seeing.
