Traumhafte Lage direkt am Strand! Ruhe, obwohl es mitten in Arugam liegt. Reezan war ein super liebe Gastgeber, der einem mit allem geholfen hat!

El alojamiento era muy original en la misma playa con vistas al mar. Precio calidad perfecto, el servicio fue muy bueno y el desayuno estaba muy bien.

Localización increíble a pie de playa. Mohamed es muy hospitalario y agradable. Los cuartos son muy sencillos, pero con el ventilador se consigue dormir bien. El desayuno estaba bien, el café/té no estaba incluido. No esperes grandes lujos, pero si una experiencia agradable para pasar un par de días!

Ich hatte einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Breezy Beach Cabanas in Arugam Bay! Die Lage ist wirklich etwas ganz Besonderes – eine wunderschöne Unterkunft direkt am Strand, von der aus man sofort den Sand erreicht und herrliche, entspannte Spaziergänge am Meer machen kann. Das traditionelle sri-lankische Frühstück war sehr lecker, und das gesamte Personal war während meines Aufenthalts unglaublich freundlich, herzlich und hilfsbereit. Was diesen Ort wirklich einzigartig macht, ist die wunderschöne Natur. Die gesamte Anlage ist von Bäumen umgeben, überall hört man Vögel und manchmal bekommt man sogar Besuch von Affen. Es fühlt sich an, als würde man mitten in der Natur wohnen und gleichzeitig direkt am Strand sein. Wenn man auf der Suche nach einem typischen Luxushotel ist, ist dieser Ort vielleicht etwas anders – aber genau das macht ihn so besonders. Er hat seinen ganz eigenen Charme und Charakter, und ich glaube nicht, dass man leicht einen vergleichbaren Ort findet. Definitiv eine besondere und unvergessliche Erfahrung. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

L’établissement est bien placé. Front de mer, proche de nombreux restaurants. Seulement trop proche des restaurants qui ferment tard et qui mettent la musique très fort..

Il était annoncé une climatisation. Nous n’avions que 2 ventilateurs presque inefficaces. L’odeur pestilentielle des toilettes. Une une moustiquaire pas totalement efficace. Un café pas inclus dans le petit déjeuné qui se veut très simpliste et rien à disposition pour remplir ses gourdes.

Ich kann mich den anderen Bewertungen nur anschließen, die Anlage ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und es müsste einiges gemacht werden. Auch die Netze sind kaputt und wir hatten sehr mit Moskitos zu kämpfen in der Nacht. In der ersten Nacht waren wir in der Hütte direkt am Meer. Die ist nicht so schön und in einem sehr schlechten Zustand. Wir konnten dann aber unkompliziert wechseln. Die andere war dann echt ok bis auf die Moskitos. Das Frühstück ist ok.

Einfacher kann eine Ausstattung nicht sein. Damit hatten wir auch gerechnet, allerdings war alles sehr in die Jahre gekommen und es wurde offensichtlich seit vielen Jahren gar nichts in Stand gesetzt. Es wirkt alles etwas heruntergekommen und lieblos. Das Frühstück war sehr einfach und auch wenig, Kaffee kostet extra. Das Personal war wenig engagiert, das haben wir in allen anderen Unterkünften ganz anders erlebt.

Attenzione alle recensioni troppo datate Siamo arrivati in questa struttura anche sulla base dell’ottima valutazione di 8,7 su Booking, ma purtroppo l’esperienza è stata completamente diversa da quella che ci aspettavamo. La camera era sporca e decisamente trascurata, con una copertura in eternit e finestre prive di vetri che la rendevano invivibile: durante il giorno diventava praticamente un forno, con un caldo insopportabile. Acqua calda praticamente inesistente. La nostra impressione è che questa struttura sia stata probabilmente molto bella in passato, ma oggi sia in evidente stato di decadimento e necessiti di importanti interventi di manutenzione e ristrutturazione. Il consiglio che ci sentiamo di dare è quindi molto semplice: non fermatevi al punteggio generale di Booking. Controllate sempre le recensioni più recenti, perché possono descrivere una situazione molto diversa da quella che ha contribuito a creare il punteggio attuale. Nel nostro caso, l’8,7 ci ha tratto decisamente in inganno.

The property was literally right on the beach. You walk out your door to the sand. Note that the water is rough and not good for swimming at the hotels beach .

The property facilities are alright but not great. There were lots of gnats and a cockroach at the cabana we stayed in and the bug nets had lots of holes. The beach and cabanas were very quiet and nobody was around ever.

Schweren Herzens haben wir uns gerade von Mohamed, dem netten Manager der Anlage verabschiedet. Wir verbrachten 4 Tage in der liebevoll hergerichteten Anlage direkt am Strand. Es gibt ein Café direkt am Strand, das von der Anlage betrieben wird. Dort gibt es morgens zwischen 8.30 und 11.30 Uhr ein srilankisches Frühstück (etwas wenig, aber ausreichend), außerdem kann man sich einen sehr guten Kaffee aus der Siebträgermaschine dazu kaufen. An den Tischen kann man auch einfach so tagsüber im Schatten sitzen oder es sich auf einer der Liegen bequem machen. Alle Leute dort kümmern sich richtig lieb um einen. Man fühlt sich so unglaublich wohl. Wir haben jeden Tag viel mit den Leuten dort geredet. Es ist wirklich ein kleines Paradies. Wir hatten noch ein zweites Mückennetz mitgenommen und sicherheitshalber aufgespannt, aber es gab gar nicht viele Mücken. Die kleine Hütte mit Gemeinschaftsbad war schon etwas rustikal und die Matratze nicht die bequemste. Man hört morgens um 5 Uhr immer die Moschee. Da aber alles drum herum so schön und gastfreundlich ist, würden wir diese Unterkunft immer wieder als erstes wählen. Es ist wie in einem kleinen Paradies und nochmal ein riesen Dankeschön an Mohamed! Er und seine Babykatze Auggie haben unseren Aufenthalt unheimlich bereichert.

Friendly hosts who helped us book safari. Great location right on the beach with access to main road where all shops and restaurants are. Relaxing and peaceful. Room was simple but still had everything you needed and surprisingly didn’t feel too warm. Shared bathroom was well maintained. We were pleasantly surprised with how well the wifi worked considering we were staying on the beach. Would 100% stay here again!

Die Lage am Strand ist perfekt für einen Aufenthalt in Arugam Bay. Das Frühstück mit direktem Blick auf das Meer ist hervorragend. Es wird ein lokales Frühstück serviert, das sehr lecker schmeckt.

Die Zimmer könnten etwas besser ausgestattet sein, z.B. gibt es keinen Schrank, Tisch oder Sessel im Zimmer.

Heerlijk zwembad en fijne, verzorgde tuin. Binnen 2 minuten op het strand! Eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk en zoon heeft ons een taxirit gegeven. Aanrader.

Unfortunately we arrived on an extremely hot day and didn't realise that we had an open room - no walls / windows - and no airconditioning. We had an amazing room right on the beach, and if it wasn't so hot it would've been great.

Heerlijk relaxed, back to basic, geen luxe maar heerlijk kneuterig. De service was top! Zelfs een bbq op het strand voor ons georganiseerd. Surflessen waren top. Heerlijke dagen gehad!

Prachtige locatie aan het strand en aan de mainstreet van Arugam Bay. Ontbijt was lekker. Drankjes kan je overdag (tegen betaling) bestellen en wordt op het strand bij je gebracht. Er zijn ligbedjes waar je gebruik van mag maken op het strand.

Kamers waren niet super schoon. Ook erg eenvoudig, zoals ook op de foto’s te zien is.

L’emplacement est super, hyper central bien que calme le soir. Très appréciable. Le petit déjeuner est bon, mais c’est tous les jours la même chose, ça manquait un peu de diversité pour des séjours plus long.

Absence d’eau chaude bien que le climat n’en nécessitait pas à cette période de l’année. Les cabanes sont très très basiques, le lit très fin et dur. Quelques améliorations de confort pourraient être apportées comme un matelas un peu plus épais

Alojamiento en muy buena ubicación con vistas a la playa estupendas. Personal muy atento y agradable que ayudó a una mejor estancia.

Habitación muy mejorable ya que contaba con mosquitera y ventilador muy viejos. Un aire acondicionado tendría que ser obligatorio por la calor que hace en la zona. Una reforma general ayudaría a que fuese un alojamiento de lujo.

The room is basically a hut without any equipment. Just a bed and a fan. No chair, desk, waste basket or even a mirror. Very bad manteined. The outside bathroom and shower were very uncomfortable, bad maintained and dirty.

Die Lage direkt am Meer und inmitten von Palmen ist wunderschön. Wir haben in den ganz einfachen Hütten übernachtet. Hier gibt es nur ein Bett, Strom und einen Ventilator, was für uns jedoch ausreichend war. Die Dusche/WC haben wir uns mit einer weiteren Hütte geteilt, die bei unserem Aufenthalt nicht belegt war, so dass wir das "Bad" für uns hatten. Das Frühstück am Strand war gut. Die Lage ist ruhig, wir wurden nachts nicht von Musik beschallt.

Amenities weren't the best, tap was loose and toilet didn't always flush. Lots of bugs but as expected for an open cabana.

We loved stayed at Breezy that we ended up staying 10 days instead of 3! It's right in front of the beach, a 10min walk to arugam bay point, breakfast included and staff was so so acommodating and nice to us! Definitely would stay here again if when we come back!

Could have a room cleaning during the 10 days

Hytten lå midt på stranden og veldig sentralt i forhold til sentrum. Frokosten var autentisk for Sri Lanka og smakte kjempegodt! Ellers synes jeg vi fikk god valuta for pengene.

Delt bad og dusj kan rengjøres oftere. Jeg ble ganske plaget av sandfluer, noe som ikke er overnattingsstedet sin skyld i det hele tatt! Dette satt likevel en liten brems på komforten.

This place is in an amazing location, very close to the city and nearby shops while still being right on the beach. The views are stunning, and the staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Their positive attitude made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to stay, and I would highly recommend it.

We booked for 2 nights and finally extended for 3 more. Waking up and jumping in the ocean, I think this is heaven. The staff is reaaaally nice and helpful ! We had such a good time there, I would have spend 2 more weeks there if I could. This is not a luxury hotel for sure, but I don’t think you need it when your cabana is literally on the beach. Highly recommend the tree cabana for the view on the ocean See you later guys😁

We had a wonderful stay at Breezy Beach Cabana. The cabanas are simple, comfortable, and full of charm, with beautiful views of the ocean and a location that feels almost right on the beach. The property is perfectly located, close to restaurants and surf shops, while still feeling peaceful. Main Point is only about a 15-minute walk away. What really made the difference was the hospitality of the manager. He was incredibly kind, flexible, and accommodating throughout our stay. We had a few last-minute changes to our plans, and he always did his best to help us and make things easy for us. If you’re looking for a relaxed beachfront stay in Arugam Bay with great hospitality, this is a fantastic choice.

Wir hatten die Familien cabana! Es ist sooooo schön dort alles offen der Wind weht man hört das Meer! Wir haben es sofort geliebt 🥰 Da man weiß wenn alles offen ist kann man natürlich auch kleinen Tieren begegnen was uns persönlich nicht stört/ gestört hat. Das Frühstück ist traditionell und gut 👍🏼 Die Leute sind sehr freundlich

Die Lage direkt am Strand ist ein Traum. Es gibt Liegen, Polster und Sonnenschutz. Die Mitarbeiter sind unglaublich nett - besonders die Dame, die Frühstück gemacht hat (und uns sehr lieb umsorgt hat), hat uns richtig verzaubert. Die Zimmer sind hübsch, besonders das offene Badezimmer. Es gibt einen Ventilator (keine AC). Der Host vermittelt Aktivitäten und ist hilfsbereit. Danke für den Aufenthalt!

Stunning place right on the beach. They upgraded us to a wonderful room with sea view. It has amazing vibes and the breakfast is really good and typical. The staff is lovely and had accomodate any request. I would definitely reccomend this paradise place

Sehr dreckig! Das Klo hat unfassbar gestunken Wirklich sehr viele Insekten. Wir waren schon in anderen Cabanas in Sri Lanka. Diese war sehr alt, dreckig und ja, natürlich ist es offen und Tiere können rein. Aber so wie hier, dass Kakerlaken auf meinen Sachen rumkrabeln und mir dann auf die Hand klettern muss nicht sein. Wir haben uns gar nicht wohl gefühlt und haben ab der 2. Nacht ein Hotel gebucht. Die liegen am Strand waren sehr unbequem. Wir waren einfach beim Nachbarn. Der hatte bequeme liegen und wir haben dort einfach konsumiert. Das würde ich auch jedem raten. Lieber ein Hotel in 2. Reihe und dann einfach an den Strand legen.

Občas se kolem bungalovů válely odpadky, i na soukromé pláži. Také snídaně mohly nabídnout větší pestrost.

Dit verblijf is er een van uitersten. De locatie ligt aan de hoofdstraat van Arugam Bay en direct aan het strand. Het uitzicht vanaf de ietwat eenvoudige strandbedjes met dunne matrasjes is erg mooi. De hutjes zijn erg eenvoudig en aan onderhoud toe. Lampen/schakelaars doen het niet, of er zit geen lampje in de fitting. Het ziet er rommelig en vervallen uit, en dat doet af aan de sfeer in de kamer. Het bed met hard matras ligt echt niet aangenaam, en de klamboe zit vol gaten (er zaten meerdere muggen binnenin de klamboe...). De zitjes bij het huisje hebben een beetje viezige matrasjes als kussens, of oude stoelen. Het nodigt niet echt uit om er op te gaan zitten. We hadden een ruime hut op palen direct aan het strand (met twee twee persoonsbedden), en een hutje wat verder weg van het strand (met een twee persoonsbed). In beide gevallen was de badkamer in de open lucht, achter een afscheiding. Dat was eigenlijk best prima. Ook hier kan echter wel wat onderhoud worden gedaan (er is een tweede douchekop, maar de wateraansluiting is niet geregeld, de toilet heeft een ijzerdraadje om door te trekken). Het ontbijt wordt verzorgd op het strand. En je kunt bij de kleine bar ook gedurende de dag het een en ander van de kaart bestellen. Het is lekker en prima verzorgd. Het is wel de eerste keer dat we ervaren dat het ontbijt niet genoeg is, en zonder koffie/thee, en dat we moeten vragen om een aanvulling. Het verblijf heeft enorme potentie, maar haalt het er nu niet helemaal uit...

Een goede onderhoudsbeurt, betere matrassen en klamboes en een iets ruimer ontbijt zou passend zijn bij de prijs. We hebben voor minder geld op (veel) betere locaties gezeten.

I've had a great experience staying at the Breezy Beach Hotel with my partner. From getting picked up by the shuttle until the moment of check-out, the service was no doubt the best I've ever had. Razyn is the manager, and his sweet vibe and kindness made us feel at home. Also, Rino and Samyr they all had amazing smiles, always so friendly and helpful. The cabin was true to the pictures, very romantic, comfortable, and clean. The feeling of being just on the beach, picking coconut from the tree, definitely made me energised and connected to nature. The breakfast is traditional sri lankan style, so fresh and yummy...Staff on duty and happy to help at all times Thanks for the beautiful stay and the great memories I'm gonna take forever with me. Lots of love xx.

La localización está increíble. Justo delante de la playa. El chico del bar siempre estaba atento a nosotros y a cualquier cosa que necesitamos. Nos dió todas las facilidades. Ellos nos reservaron el safari e incluso llamaron al tuk tuk. El trato es inmejorable

El aire acondicionado de la habitación y la mosquitera podrían ser un poco mejor. En arugam hace mucho calor y los mosquitos están atentos para picar. No es un sitio de lujo, es lo que es, y por lo que pagas y donde está ubicado está increíble. Con mejorar esas dos cositas de la habitación ganarían mucho más.

We were in the Central 'treehouse' but it was grubby, nets needed replacing and the window shutters needed fixing. The communal spaces were unloved. Sun lounger cushions were ripped, dirty and left in a heap. Breakfast was ok but no alternative to suit my 11 year old e.g no roti, or fruit or juice. Had to ask for black tea each morning.. all these things fair enough for a lower rate.. but they are not cheap enough to look past these things.

Es war wundervoll direkt am Strand zwischen den Palmen zu wohnen und mit dem Meeresrauschen einzuschlafen. Das Frühstück war lecker und ausreichend und das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

Die Budget cabanas hatten kein richtiges Bett, sondern eine Matratze auf brettern. Es gab sehr viele Mücken im Zimmer und das moskitonetz war schwer zu installieren

La posizione è ottima, sia per mangiare la sera, sia per essere fronte spiaggia, e le "cabanas" sarebbero anche belle se facessero un minimo di manutenzione.

L'interno delle cabanas non ha un minimo di manutenzione, e soprattutto ci sono tantissime zanzare. Il letto ha la sua zanzariera a baldacchino, peccato che sia tutta bucata e le zanzare ci entrino con assoluta facilità. La notte ci hanno letteralmente mangiato non facendoci dormire. Basterebbe poco, cambiare la zanzariera per esempio. Colazione veramente ridotta all'osso: frittata con 1 uovo, 1 piadina, un giorno una ciotolina con curry e lenticchie e l'altro curry e patate, stop. Anche qui, basterebbe poco, qualcosina in più, con quello che si paga a notte, sarebbe gradito e sicuramente ne gioverebbe il cliente. Altra nota negativa, colazione alle 8:30, abbiamo aspettato ogni giorno durante la nostra permanenza, dai 30 minuti all'ora, non potendoci spostare presto per le altre attività.

Extrem schöne Anlage direkt am Strand etwas abseits vom trubeligen Strandzentrum gelegen. Alles liebevoll gestaltet und gepflegt, grün und lauschig mit vielen Sitzecken, Hängematten etc. Schöne Bar am Strand, wo auch das extrem leckere Frühstück serviert wird, für uns das beste in Sri Lanka bisher! Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal! Insgesamt eine sehr empfehlenswerter Ort, wenn man gern naturnah unterkommt, und auch Arugam Bay hat uns trotz des Trubels sehr gut gefallen. Wir würden gern wiederkommen!
