Gangnam Seven Hostel

Unfortunately, my experience at this hostel was quite disappointing. The biggest issue was the first staff member I met at check-in. She was extremely rude and unfriendly, and her attitude immediately made me feel unwelcome. She behaved as if she owned the place and had no interest in helping. I believe she was from Spain or Brazil, although I’m not completely sure. The second staff member, Renata, was completely different. She was kind and helpful, and I appreciate that she changed my bedsheet when I brought the issue to her attention. The room itself was also very disappointing. The bedsheet was grey and, within five minutes of entering the room, I noticed a white substance on it that looked like semen/sperm. Naturally, this made me extremely uncomfortable about sleeping there and raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene of the bed. I went to Renata, and she kindly changed the bedsheet, but the experience had already made me uncomfortable. The hostel is also on the second floor and requires using stairs. There is a massage parlour in the basement, and the hostel is quite far from the train station. The location on the map was not very clear, so I got a little lost while trying to find it. Overall, apart from Renata being nice and helpful, I was very unhappy with my stay. My low rating is mainly because of the extremely rude first staff member I encountered at check-in and the cleanliness issue with the bedsheet.

その場にいるスタッフの対応は良い方だと思います。 ウォーターサーバーがあるので水を飲んだりお湯を使ってカップラーメンを食べたり出来るのは良かったです。

メッセージは日本語でもなければ自動送信っぽい長文が送られて来て、記載のカカオに連絡しても一回も返事は来ず。 私が1週間居る間に会った宿泊者は全員中国の方でした。毎日便器に尿を飛ばしたりそこらじゅうに髪の毛が散ったりゴミを出しても片付けない人が居るので毎日清掃が入っているのにその人がいる間はずっと部屋が汚かったです。寝てる間にいつも何回もおならをする人も居ました。ルーズな人が多いばかりかと思いきや、帰国前の荷造りをしていたら何度もこっちに視線を送って来て嫌な顔をする神経質な人も居ました。これまで沢山ゲストハウスを利用して来ましたが、宿泊者のマナーはこれまでで1番悪かったと思います。 あと、シャワーの水勢が弱くて使いにくかったです。 洗濯機はありませんので小銭を沢山作って近くのコインランドリーに行かないと洗濯できません。

The location is not that bad

Very confusing staff and lack of proper procedures. We had two separate bookings: my friends booked a twin room, but got a 4-bed room with zero explanation. Seeing the extra space, I asked to move into their room, and the staff just said yes without running any standard check-in process or ID check. Fine for extreme budget travelers, but the total lack of organization and room allocation logic is a red flag

There's a sign telling everybody to quiet down after 10pm since it's bed time, but the staff themselves just chatted and made loud noises in fourth floor hallway at 10:30?! Everybody is following the rules except the staff.......

위치, 가성비, 와이파이를 비롯한 드라이어, 멀티탭 등 모두 좋았습니다. 특히 1인실의 경우 쾌적할 정도로 깨끗하고, 만족스러운 공간이었습니다.

The price was very low.

the cleanliness was not so good. Even if the staff clean every day, it seems like the vacuum doesn't vacuum much... Also a lot of humidity in the room. And finally, there's a fridge to keep your food, but everyone keep their food without a name or a departure date, there was some rotten food inside. Also there's a "shared kitchen" but no real place to cook and no sink to wash the dishes after eating...

The only negative things is that there is no elevator and with a big suitcase it is a bit tiring!

This was my second stay at the hostel. The only reason I chose to stay here again was because I had a very early appointment nearby, and its location was the most convenient option. The hostel offers good value for money, and the bathroom is clean and modern. Unfortunately, these positives are completely overshadowed by serious safety and maintenance issues. I cannot recommend this hostel because of a serious safety incident that should never have happened.

I cannot recommend this hostel because of a serious safety incident. 1. Upper bunk guardrail – serious safety hazard The guardrail detached during both of my stays. During my first stay, it fell onto my leg. During my second stay, it detached while I was climbing into the upper bunk, causing me to fall and suffer injuries that required hospital treatment. No traveler expects to end a vacation in the emergency room because of a hostel bed. At the time of my stay, the guardrail was not secured with screws and detached during normal use. After the incident, the local district office informed me that the rail was a detachable type secured with screws and cable ties. What disappointed me most was the lack of responsibility afterward. Rather than acknowledging that a guest had been injured by a failed safety feature, the response focused on explaining the bed. I was left with injuries, medical expenses, and lost travel time from an accident that should have been preventable. 2. Motion-sensor light The motion-sensor light is overly sensitive. Even someone turning over in bed can activate it, flooding the room with bright light and repeatedly disturbing everyone's sleep. 3. Ventilation and maintenance Although an air conditioner is installed, guests are not allowed to use it. Poor air circulation traps odors in the small dormitory, and I also noticed visible mold on the ceiling and walls. I am an avid leisure traveler and have stayed in more than 200 hostels around the world. Despite the good location and value, this was the worst hostel experience I have ever had because of a preventable safety failure, the resulting injuries, and the lack of accountability afterward.

因為是晚上10點以後入住，床鋪是髒的，也找不到任何工作人員幫忙，同住的人員很髒還有異味，忍了3天，想溝通換房間，被告知不允許，並且住了了5天，地板一直沒人打掃，衛生間也沒有人消毒，後來同住人去找工作人吵了一架，才有人打掃。新來的住客費用都比我低三分之一，想不明白為什麼多住幾天價格反而更貴？

It was a pretty comfortable place, and for the price it seemed perfect. I wish the beds had curtains, but other than that everything was fine

Spend few more bucks to get something actual decent. Room are insanely small with no curtains, n fridge was filthy and the people who work there really not accommodating.

The location of this hostel is very convenient, and the price here is really cheap. It's good only for overnight stays. This place is decent considering its cheap price.

I've checked in this hostel multiple times, but the experience is different every time depending on the room I am assigned to. This time, the sink in the bathroom of my room was very clogged (again), and the showerhead was so bad the water pressure coming out was so low and weak, it was really upsetting. I'd rather not shower everytime I'm checking in this hostel. Also the girl that helped me checked in was not that friendly compared to the lady last time.

It's in a great location. Two different subway lines are just a few blocks away.

The cleaning of the common room was very poor. It was always dirty during the three days I was there. There's only one cup for the entire hostel and not a single kitchen utensil. It's the first hostel I've been to that doesn't have curtains over the beds. The automatic light in the room would turn on as soon as I moved.

There was huge patches of mold on our walls, it was a terrible surprise to discover and also we just were scared of getting intoxicated by it. Have never wanted to leave a hotel room this bad for my health.

I think this is already my fourth time checking in this hostel, because it's very decent and cheap. This time, I got to meet the reception staff for the first time because I checked in early in the morning, and the lady named Ana was really nice and helpful. She assisted me in my check in very warmly. I also like this hostel because it's near to the bus terminal.

I think this place is only best for overnight stay, because the dorm room can get so cramped cos it's actually small and the ceiling can smell moldy.

Location was alright as it was near the metro station.

Cleanliness was very very poor, bedsheets was torn, kitchen was extremely dirty with only microwave in it. There was mold in the bathroom vent and AC. Very poor ventilation in the room. I have in many hostels, this was the worst hostel I ever stayed in. Payed almost 170 Euros for 3 nights. This hostel is not managed by not Koreans. Please don't book this hostel...please. your trip will get ruin. Seoul cube was much better.

Nice Bathroom, good roommates, excellent helpful staff which offered to do laundry in a moment of need and had great amenities, easy check in - check out process

朝から勝手に何度も店員の方が出入りするのと、最低限礼儀は持った方がいいと思います。　そして現地で購入した物をベッドの上に置いていたのですが、帰って来たら勝手に処分されていて信じられなかったです。ありえないホステル　2度と泊まりたくない！

The low price makes it worth the discomfort. The location is good.

Just residing in the same room for 6 days makes every belonging smell awful, I had to wash the clothes I didn't even wear. It's very hot in the hallway. I didn't use the kitchen much because there was no power outlet I could use, so I had to sit at the table next to the fridge, which did have those. Absence of staff at night causes difficulties. I had to ask for a few towels in advance because I couldn't do that at night or early morning. Drunk locals were coming to the place at night, and since there is no easily visible warning not expect check-ins until 3 PM, I had to explain it to them in my broken Korean myself. A huge sign with a picture of a clock and text written in Korean should help with this issue. I know there is one already, but it's small and easy to miss, I certainly did when I had come to ask for a towel for the first time.

바닥에 쓰레기며 머리카락이며.. 장기투숙 하시는 분들이 너무 더러웠어요. 샤워실에도 머리카락 그대로 전부 쌓여잇고, 싱크대에 물도 안내려가고… 예전에 모텔 이였던 곳을 도미토리로 바꾸신것 같은데 너무 꿉꿉하고 별로엿습미다

방 따듯하고 화장실 깨끗했습니다. 방도 깨끗해요. 직원분도 빠르고 친절해요.

드라이어기가 오래되었고 방 밖에는 화장실이 없습니다. 라커 자물쇠 있었으면 해요. 2층침대는 살짝 벽에 떨어져서 불안해요.

It was a very good location, 2 minutes walk to the metro and staff were very friendly and spoke fluent English.

The A/C didnt work for one night but this was fixed the next day, so this is the only thing I can say on the properties end that I didn't like.

the volunteers seemingly running the hostel seem friendly, the standard of cleaning was mixed depending on which volunteer was working that day.

I never normally leave reviews but i have to warn people it was freezing (im talking snow outside cold) and no heating in the rooms. There was AC in the room but it was off and no remote. Furthermore, there was a mircowave and toaster but no sink, plates, bowls, cutlery of any kind. The 'kitchen' has a small table and 2 stairs so no communal area of any kind.

La posibilidad de tener el baño dentro de la habitación, fue uno de los puntos que más a favor encontré. También me agradó tener ventana. Muy buena calefacción. Y muy buena atención de la gente que trabajaba allí, para estancias cortas lo recomiendo

시험치기 전날 딱 잠만자려고하면 가성비 최고라고 생각합니다. 아무래도 예민하신분들은 어려울것같고 저는 진짜 세수 양치만하고 잠만자고 나왔습니다. 위치도 괜찮고 겨울에 난방장치는 따로없지만 바닥이 따뜻하고 침구도 좋았습니다. 외투입고 자니까 영하추위도 괜찮았습니다. 수건도 하나 제공해줫고 다른 숙소에비해 나무침대가 아닌거에 만족했습니다

내방역 5분거리.

요즘 찜질방에서도 보기힘든 굉장히 낡아서 합선 되지 않을까 걱정되는 헤어드라이기, 변색된 이불, 청소 안한지 몇년 지났는지 곰팡이가 가득해 냉방 온풍 다 못트는 에어컨, 손 세정제 하나 없는 화장실. 그냥 모텔이 더 나을정도.
