Nuba Heart

Ruime kamer, ruime badkamer met bad, heel vriendelijke ontvangst, lekker ontbijt, toen we vroeg moesten vertrekken kregen we zelfs een ontbijt mee.

Excellent stay! Clean, spacious rooms in a beautiful location. Tamer ( the owner) reven helped us with a problem we had with a taxi driver from the airport.

Absolutely top experience - the place is amazing, with excellent views, good ferry connection to the city center and all the amenities. The host was very friendly and helpful - he even came to rescue us when our rental car broke down. Will definitely come again!

Very nice and clean room. The host was very kind and helpful. Food was tasty.

Location was a bit abandoned.

Location on the West Bank is peaceful, away from the East Bank hustle. The house is short walk away from the public ferry port that connects to the East Bank for 10 EGP. The host Tamer is a very nice and honest person. He arranged for our trip to Abu Simbel, Felluca ride and the taxi back to the airport and all three at very decent pricing. The hotel is probably the tallest building in the Nubian village (where it is situated), and hence gets a view of the desert on one side and the Nile view on the other, when sat on the terrace. Breakfast was really tasty and it's made fresh so please give them a time, so food can be made ready for that time. The day we went to Abu Simbel, the owner was up with a breakfast bag for us at 4 am, to take with us on the mini bus. They do serve dinner as well but we didn't get a chance to try that. You can do a camel ride, desert walk and Felluca ride from the village itself.. Very convenient. The owner can arrange other visits as well, based on what you intend/plan to do. We were welcomed with a nice Hibiscus tea and Tamer gave us a free upgrade for one of the rooms and let us keep our bags in the room, well after checkout as our flight was at 10.45pm. His manager, Ibrahim (aka Action) was also very helpful and a proud Nubian. For the price, it exceeded my expectation and a very nice experience overall.

If you are coming by taxi ... The village is off the desert road but a car with tourists can't use the desert road and have to use the old Eastern Nile route and then take the rough road to the village which taxi drivers don't like as it's a bit bumpy. If you are in a private car, then you can use the desert road and it's an easy access from there via the bypass route directly into the village.

Czysty i ładny pokój. Niesamowity widok z tarasu na Asuan. Dobre śniadanie i cudowny gospodarz.

Cool spot, great service, everyone's super nice and helpful. They're really friendly. Thanks for everything; I had a blast staying with you.

The location is top notch and the night view is stunning, as well Tamer the host was supper helpfull and generous i would definitely recommend and use this facility for my next vidit

Nothing worth mentioning

The staff and the hospitality , the bread 😍

We spent one night at Tamer’s place with our two children. Tamer’s welcome is greatly appreciated; he knows how to receive guests and make them feel at home. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious. The meals are generous and delicious.

Ras

Serenity and natural beauty

I liked every thing

Our stay at Nuba Heart was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel completely at home with their warm hospitality. The homemade food was absolutely delicious, adding a personal and authentic touch to our experience. Located in the heart of the oldest Nubian village, the guest house is just a short 5–7 minute walk from the ferry port and the main city can be reached in 10 min by a boat. The facilities were excellent, and every detail contributed to a comfortable and welcoming stay.

We liked everything

Lovely clean accomodation on the West Bank of the Nile. Quiet and peaceful. Tamer was a great host and very attentive to all our needs. We organised our tours with him to Abu Simbel (27€/1550EGP per person), airport transfer (approximately 9€/515EGP altogether), and transfer to Luxor with stops at Kom Ombo and Edfu along the way (35€/2000EGP per person). You can purchase dinner at the accomodation for $6USD/300EGP per dish.

The taxi driver that was arranged for us to Luxor became aggressive when dropping us off - demanding tips and then getting very angry saying that what we gave wasn’t enough (a common occurrence for tourists in Egypt sadly). Thankfully, the staff at our new hotel were present to calm the situation.

The owner is very kind and generous. The room are exceptionally clean. Great AC. delicious food. I highly recommend them.

Nothing!!!

The staff they were super kind, help me with everything. The room is quite big and clean. The location on the west bank, what for me was more interesting, is a small village, relax place and great view for Nile and the city. Super easy to go to the city by ferry boat, 10 Egyptian pounds, super cheap, working all day

If you want to live the Nuba tradition and kindness, this is the place to visit! Picturesque place, next to beautiful mountain that you can visit by camels or on foot, 7 min away from the ferry that takes you to louder and more crowded places! We were walking around the village and everyone was so friendly and wanted to help us!

Everything great

We stayed at Nuba Heart as a family with two children and had an amazing experience. The accommodation was spacious and quiet, with two large bedrooms. It's ideally located—just a short walk from the ferry (only 10 EGP per person), and close to the train station and the local bazaar. From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth. A taxi was waiting for us at the airport, and Thameer organized all our tours and even our transfer to our next accommodation in Luxor, all at very good prices. He was always available and ready to help with anything we needed. We enjoyed delicious breakfast and lovely rooftop dinners with a great view. The Nubian village around the guesthouse is full of charm and becomes very lively at night. The locals are warm and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere made us feel right at home. Highly recommended, especially for families looking for an authentic experience and excellent hospitality. Our children loved it.

Manager came to collect us from the airport no problem! Really helpful, friendly staff. Big spacious bedroom suits. Tasty breakfast delivered at a time to suit you. A rustic, authentic stay.

Nothing

Host Tamir was exceptional awesome. Ready to help beyond limit to ensure the guests are at ease. Nice view for sunrise and Nubian hospitality. Very helpful coworking staff as well.

The owner Tamer was always helpful and organized good priced tours to Abu Simbel, Philae Temple and a taxi to the airport. Although the communication in English was a bit difficult, he was always available to call and tried his best to make us feel comfortable. The bedroom was also very nice.

The bathroom was in a bad state, the bathtub wasn't very inviting and I found hair in obvious places. The food was also not good and we ended up not eating at the restaurant and trying to organize our own food (which was difficult bc on West Bank, there are no restaurants). The area is poor and you have to take the public ferry to the other side where we never saw a single tourist in 4 days of using it. We did feel safe though.

This property is located right at the heart of a Nubian Village on the West Bank of Aswan, just 5 minutes walk to the local ferry that will take you across to Aswan and 5 minutes to the fascinating tombs at Qubbet el-Hawa. The property was spotless, the host welcoming, and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. The breakfast was exceptional and whilst I was there I also had two amazing dinners on the rooftop with Nile and tomb views. The hosts could not have done more, whilst still giving me space to explore and enjoy time on my own. It really did feel like staying with a local family who went out of their way to make sure you had everything you need. You could not ask for better value for money.

Honestly, for the price I could not pick fault. Exceptional value.

We had an amazing stay at this guest house thanks to the owner who is always available to help us organize tours and prepare us very nice diners!

The pressure of the shower

If you’re looking for an authentic and peaceful stay in Aswan, Nuba Heart is the perfect choice. The atmosphere is unique, taking you back in time, and the experience feels genuinely local. Thamer, the owner, is incredibly welcoming and goes above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. From helping with plans to inviting guests to a local wedding, every moment here feels special. Highly recommended!

The rooms where spacious and clean. I live a balcony and my room had that, i could open my balcony and see allt of the village. It was a quick walk to the ferry station and stores. Upon arrival Tamer send is a cab to gather all our belongings and bring us to the guest house. My children and his children played for hours. They didn’t want to leave. Daily we had breakfast and dinner at the guest house and it was delicious. We had a hard time finding a cheap ride home, Tamer was able to arrange a ride for us at a rate we could afford. If your looking for a safe space single or family, this is an awesome guest house to stay at. The picture below is the view as you approach the island.

Got to experience the Nubian village. It was clean and safe to stay.

Located in the Nubian village, very quiet, ideal for resting. Very clean and spacious rooms. Very rich and abundant breakfast on the terrace with beautiful views. We also had dinner there at a very convenient price. Tamer took care of managing all the tours and making sure it was all good. His family is very nice.

Location with view to Nile is so special and peaceful

Tamer the owner is very insistent with trying to control your movements and selling outings for sightseeing to his advantage only; Pls ask around, start by bargaining from half their price with other providers and you will be fine. This owner’s attitude is very annoying as he keeps calling you over and over again to get more out of you. His wife and children are delightful though.

I stayed at Nuba Heart in West Aswan with my family, and we had an absolutely amazing time! This place truly exceeded our expectations in every way. It combines the luxury of a hotel with the warmth of a home, all at an affordable price. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the rooftop offers stunning views of the Nile and the surrounding mountains—a perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of Aswan. The owner, Tamer, is outstanding. He is incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely cares about his guests. Tamer and his family are extremely welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The entire village is very safe, and the locals are some of the kindest people you’ll meet, always willing to go out of their way to help. If you’re considering a stay in West Aswan, I highly recommend Nuba Heart. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

The name of the owner is Tamer. I would recommend that before coming to Aswan, don’t make any plans because Tamer will make all the plans for you in an affordable price. It’s not just planning, he continuously tracks that you are having a good trip throughout the day. He even gave us a lift for around 15 kilometres at 4 am in the morning. Unbelievably helpful guy. The hotel is neat and clean, great roof, great view of the Nile river and again, if you need anything else, Tamer is on the ground floor, anytime.

Nothing

Thw room was nice. The staff was so kind and helped us a lot.

We enjoyed our stay at Nuba Heart. Everything was great. But, the highlight for us was Tamer, the hotel owner. Tamer is a real example of Nubian kindness. He was very helpful to us and made everything possible to make our stay comfortable. He also helped us organize our activities with the best prices, you can count on him to help you organize your trip and anything you'll need. Tamer is Number one in Aswan!

We were welcomed with cold drink. The instruction to the property is very clear. The host is helpful and flexible with the breakfast time and prepare breakfast box for us when we have to leave early. The harbor is within walking distance and cost 10 Egyptian pounds per person to the east coast. The area is quiet and nice.

The hot water is not very stable, need to wait for 10-15 minutes after each person’s shower. Other than that everything is fine. It’s a bit difficult to have in drive driver coming to the area

The host was very helpful and organised all the tours for a reasonable price. My kids wanted KFC and MacDonald and the host arranged the delivery. My kids needed a heater for the night and the host arranged it on request.

- The property owner and staff were incredibly accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. They were always available to recommend places to visit, dine, and even arranged discounts at some spots. - The property itself was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable, with good air condition. - The rooftop view overlooking the Nile was breathtaking and one of the highlights of our trip. - It’s an affordable option for families, offering great value for money without compromising on comfort or cleanliness.

- The location was a bit tricky to find at first. It’s not in the downtown area but rather in a more traditional, rural neighborhood, which I personally enjoyed, but it might not appeal to everyone. - To get to downtown, you need to take a felucca (small boat) to cross the Nile, which can be inconvenient if you have a car since you’d need to use a ferry or arrange other means of transport. - The property is part of a group of houses and doesn’t have a central reception or traditional hotel facilities, which could be a downside for some guests.

The property is really beautiful and clean and located on the West Bank, close to the public ferry and the tombs of the nobles. The facilities are new and clean. Really good place to enjoy Aswan. I also need to thank you the host Tamer for all what they have done to us. I strongly recommend for your stay in Aswan! He organized trip to Nubian village, elephantine island, high dam, the Temple of Philae, the High Dam and the missing obelisk at very reasonable price.

The place was amazing, quiet, and very clean, managed exceptionally well. Its location is very close to the city center, requiring only a short ferry ride across the Nile to reach it. We had an enjoyable time there, surrounded by the beauty of nature, with the Nile on one side and the desert on the other. Don't forget to try the food—they serve delicious Egyptian dishes at very reasonable prices.

We were Tamer's guests in a Nubian village, the rooms were very good for Egyptian standards! Being hosted by Tamer was the best thing that could have happened to us, if you want to meet real and honest Egyptians come to Nubia Hearts. Tamer is very helpful and hospitable, serves delicious breakfasts, everything on time. We were guests at Nubia Hearts as the second couple from Poland. An ideal base for further travels, a very safe area without scammers. Perfect access, which is not standard in Egypt.

It’s a very chilling place, quite at night, top staff. The owner can literally solved any problem and helps you with all your necessities

The owner was really kind and even organized a tour for us. It's in a really quiet, remote spot, the room is really dark and silent at night so good to sleep in :) AC also worked great and the view was amazing. The breakfast was also nice.

The water stopped working in the middle of the night, and we had to ask for it to be opened. The blankets given to us smells a bit like it was stored too long.

Location, clean, staff

Nothing

Rooms are confortables and super clean. From the terrace you catch sunrise and moonrise. Tamer and Muhammad made us feel home. This is the place, to go trough the Nubian experience.

Very helpful and friendly staff who organised a driver to pick us up from the airport and take us to sites. Lovely roof top cafe with Nile views.

Rooms and private bathroom were large and comfortable. The owner, Tamer, was very helpful and accommodating to our needs. We enjoyed the quiet side and cleaner air of the West bank of Aswan.

The roads are slow to navigate, but the ferry across the river is a pleasant change.

Our host Tamer went out of his way to make our stay pleasant. His wife baked a cake for us when we mentioned we were feeling for something sweet. Good value for money. If you are looking for a quiet, serene place and want to experience true Nubian culture, I would highly recommend this place

Nothing

Experiencing the Nubian community vibe. Ideal location for that. Owner, Tamir helpful.. Accompanied us on sightseeing tour for the afternoon. Wife baked us a delicious cake for tea time. I would recommend this place if you do not want to be in the hustle and bustle of Aswan town centre.

Faulty leaking air con

Nuba Heart won our heart because of the hospitality of Tamer and his family. The area around his guest house was peaceful and there is a wonderful view of Nile from the terrace. Tamer personally took good care of us and even drove us to our coach bus to Abu Simbel himself. The rooms are cosy and comfortable. AC and Geyser works well. Wifi works but can be improved. We are vegetarians and Tamer adhered to our specific needs very nicely. He also arranged a value for money felluca ride for us. Overall a wonderful stay. Thank you. ❤️

Quiet stay on the west bank of Aswan in a colourful Nubian village. Tamir, the owner, was incredibly helpful. He organised daily trips for a very reasonable price, and we had delicious, huge dinners on the rooftop for 200EGP. The rooms are small but comfortable, with aircon that works well. The pickup from the airport was smooth and also inexpensive. The accomodation is a 7 minute walk from the ferry to the center of Aswan. We really enjoyed staying on this side as it was much more quiet, had a more local feel, and was safe and friendly. There isn't a lot of amenities in the area but everything you need (food, transport, activities) can be organised from Nuba Heart. The rooftop was lovely to watch the sunset from. The wifi worked well and it was very quaint. Stay and support the incredibly lovely and helpful people here.

Secluded from city life

Nil

The host helped us get a boat ride for an affordable price. He even took me to play football with his friends. We spent one night in Abu Simbel, but we could leave our luggage here. Everybody was kind and helpful, can just recommend. Also the dinner here is really good.

My wife and I stayed two nights in this beautiful hotel and wished we would have stayed longer. The hotel owner (Tamer) and his nephew (Mo) made us feel at home, helping us organising trips at very fair prices and preparing delicious breakfast and dinner every day. The hotel is located in a Nubian village, on the West Bank of the Nile. You can get there very easily for 10 EGP per person with the public ferry. The atmosphere in the hotel and the village is very relaxed, which we absolutely loved after coming from very busy cities like Cairo and Alexandria. One of our highlights was the morning run + swim in the Nile that we did with Mo, who showed us the best spots in the village and in Aswan. We will definitely come back to visit these guys who became our family for some days

Absolutely nothing!

It was amazing to stay at the Nubian village, in Nuba Heart. The staff was very nice and friendly, super helpful with everything we needed, from food, to information on transports, etc. The breakfast was very tasty and the view to the village and the other side of the Aswan margin was also really nice. Also, the room was very clean, tidy and comfortable. Totally recommend to stay here once in Aswan.

It is not a bad thing, but if you're planning on doing activities in Aswan city center or marine, you need to take a boat to the other margin. It is very easy and cheap (the staff helped us), so no worries.

Really good place to enjoy Aswan. The property is really beautiful and clean. I also need to thank you the host for all what they have done to me. I strongly recommend for your stay in Aswan!

Visiting Nuba Heart was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Everything flowed seamlessly, from the warm welcome to the great service. The food was also very good and fresh. The host went above and beyond, ensuring our transportation and any other needs were expertly arranged. Highly recommended for a memorable experience!

everything is good！ the staff is really helpful, especially the boss! They help us to find a driver to show us in the city. The lunch and dinner price is fair. Really happy for this booking

None

The host Tamer was very attentive & friendly. He arranged our Abu Simbel trip and airport transfer for very competitive prices. The guesthouse has a very cute terrace where you can chill & meet the other guests. Rooms are also good value for price. Note that the guesthouse is located in a village, so in order to get to downtown you need to walk to the ferry station (only 5 min walk), but it only costs 10 egp and takes 5 mins and was one of the most authentic parts of the experience.

People are nice and will go to any length to help you

All was good

The hotel team makes you feel at home. Tamer and his team were just lovely and did take a lot of care of us. It is located in opposite of Aswan across the Nile and gives you a wonderful impression of the Nubian side of Egypt. Totally recommendable!

Host is lovely, as well as the rest of the people: we left early morning and he was so kind to walk us all the way to the ferry and wait with us until our tour guide arrival. nice to experience a typical Nubian village.

Make sure you want to stay on the west side of the river :)

Tamer is really an excellent host, Nubia Heart is really a special place to relax and soak in the Egyptian/African/Nubian atmosphere. Views from the terrace are absolutely stunning, Tamer and his family are so humble, genuine, super friendly and accommodating. They really go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner was super delicious, Taner helped us out with almost everything. Highly recommended to have a long or short stay it’s so refreshing and relaxing.

Nothing.

The host was amazingly friendly, even inviting us to his nieces engagement party while we were there and we got to experience some authentic Nubian food! The location is great, much quieter than staying on the east bank but also just a short and very cheap ferry ride over to the hustle and bustle. The room was nice and clean with a bathroom, ceiling fan, heaps of cupboard space, supplied towels and a really comfy bed. Would definitely reccomend!

Best make sure to bring US cash with you as it is more expected you pay US cash.

It was a really pleasant and wonderful hospitality. Especially Tamer and the boys Mohsin & Ameen, took care until the end of the day. Had a good time in the evenings enjoying the Nile view while playing card games were the best. Tamer organised me for the abu simbel tour as well (Please bring hard cash dollars or Euro’s, as I didnt but managed somehow). Easily reachable by public ferry (10EGP) and you can order a careem once you’re on the East bank to any places in Aswan

Food Hygiene might be of a question

Staff is friendly and the breakfast is good. Transfer arranged via the hotel is reliable.

A bit pushy for the review but can understand as the guesthouse is newly open. Were asked to changed the room once , feel a bit annoyed, tired to pack my stuff especially after the long day to trip to Abu Sumbel. The new room changed can not connect wifi :(

The unique location in the village was fantastic. The rooms were new and very clean. Clean sheets and towels were provided. The greatest highlight was the traditional seating area on the terrace. It was very relaxing to just sit there and enjoy the views of the Nile. Food was homemade and fresh and delicious. The host took care of everything personally and we felt very comfortable. We strongly recommend a stay at NUBA HEART when at Aswan.

Everything was good. Nothing to complain about.

The hosts were amazing, location was great and everything is very new.

The friendliness of the owner The place is very quiet and still very close to city close (less than 10min walk to the ferry) Very clean and confortable

Owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Tamer help us to arrange the tour to Abu simbel and luxor. Very resonable price for the trip. Room was clean.

Its very difficult for taxi driver to find the location.

The view from the rooftop is great. The managers really tried to make my stay comfortable. The people in the village were very friendly.

The shower set up could have been better.

host will solve all your problems

Pretty new and very well located place on the West Bank, perfect if you want to get to know Nubian village a bit better (just a short boat ride from busy and noisy Asuan center). You will find there cool rooftop terrace to grab some tea/coffee and breakfast or dinner. Very relaxing vibe! The owner Tamer and Madian will do their best for you to have the best local experience. We were even invited for a local wedding! They will help with your travel agenda or arranging car/boat for a very good price. They help also with Abu Simbel day trips. Room was comfortable, with spacious bathroom. We even extended our stay there. 😊

I liked everything. It is really wonderful place to stay. The hospitality of Abo Omar gives you feeling that you are at home. He is always willing to help. Thank you Abo Omar.

Nothing.

Very friendly Host. Clean and nice rooms, comfortable beds. Nice area to experience Nubian culture and people. Much more quiet than on the other loud side full with scammers. On this westbank hotel side you can relax, without 1000 people trying to constantly sell you something. Very good food from the Host. Cheap to reach side with boat (10 EPG per person). Would recommend this host and hotel to everybody. 👍🏼

Best roof top and host!! Easy to reach, even if is on the west bank. Quiet and really nice place, recently renovates. Very good communication with the host, alao great home cookes meals.

Excelent attention, nice people always checking if everything was good. We really liked!
