Reviewed Aug 14, 2026We (my dog and I) received a warm welcome straight away with a tour, recommendations and directions. The place was lovely, clean and comfortable with everything I needed for a great stay. Beaches and Tesco only a few minutes away. Highly recommend, would definitely stay again!

Reviewed Aug 14, 2026Perfect stay: great studio, clean, comfortable, well equiped, great hosts, powerful shower, great & quiet location to visit Galway & Connemara. Great views of the Galway bay and fields from the bedroom windows. Great sandy beach closeby & Spidal town is nearby too for restaurants etc even though this time I did not avail of any. The place is made to feel very comfortable for a week end or more. Great check in/out without any fuss. Nothing more than to be recommended. Will gladly come back!

The quality of the convertible at the ground floor and of the double-bed at the 1st floor is unacceptable for 198€ for the night for 4 people. It’s disrespectful.

Reviewed Jul 14, 2026La maison est grande. Il y avait des jeux de société apprécié par les enfants. Nous avons été bien accueillis.
Nous avons été déçus par rapport à ce qui était annoncé. L’annonce mentionnait vue sur mer et il y avait des photos de la plage, je croyais donc que nous étions en bord de mer ou pas loin. Je n’ai pas trouvé la vue sur la mer. Impossible d’aller à la plage des photos à pied. Du salon, une fenêtre donne bien sûr la campagne et la vue est agréable, par contre la deuxième fenêtre, celle avec le store fermé sur les photos donne sur un hangar avec la porte qui reste ouverte, on a laissé le store fermé, L’extérieur c’est deux fauteuils collés à la maison avec vue sur le linge des propriétaires qui pend. On les voit d’ailleurs passer, ce qui en soit n’est pas un problème sauf que si vous voulez de l’intimité, vous devez fermer les stores. J’imagine qu’habituellement l’extérieur est peu utilisé mais impossible de manger dehors, il n’y a pas d’extérieur dédié à la maison. Ce serait plus honnête de mettre des photos de vue de la maison et de l’extérieur. C’est dommage car en soit, la maison est agréable, même si la salle de bain est minuscule et les canapés et fauteuils en cuir abime pourraient être changés.

Just the decor was a bit dated and the shower n toilet was downstairs

And most I picked they are pet friendly, my dog felt so welcomed and like home straight away. I got a chance to say hello to the host Martin who was very warm and super lovely. I will definitely return!

La anfitriona fue tremendamente amable, explicando todo lo que necesitábamos saber del lugar y ofreciéndose a ayudarnos en todo lo que necesitáramos. Pasó también un buen rato recomendándonos lugares que visitar y dándonos conocimiento local que hizo de nuestra visita a Connemara un gran éxito que disfrutamos tremendamente. El apartamento era muy completo, nos permitió cocinar la cena y ahorrar dinero en comida, las camas eran todas cómodas menos tal vez el sofá-cama de arriba que era un poco duro, pero en nuestro caso eramos 5 y no nos hizo falta. Muy cerca de un par de pequeños pueblos donde los lugareños tocan música en los pubs.

We had a problem with the shower not working after 2 of 5 of us had showered. Then the lighting in the bathroom tripped out for no apparent reason (This was not a problem but thought you’d be better knowing).

Everything worked really well. The heating system was different than what we were used to, but we were able to switch it on okay and get heat when we needed it.

What we loved most: Immaculate cleanliness: The house was sparkling clean, which we really appreciated. Well-equipped: Everything was well thought out. There was plenty of kitchenware, all the necessary appliances, and high-quality bedding. The beds were very comfortable. Exceptional hospitality: A huge thank you to the hosts! We had more people join us than originally planned, and the owners kindly provided extra sleeping arrangements to make sure everyone was comfortable. The atmosphere of the house is perfect for a relaxing and pleasant stay. We would definitely love to come back!

Reviewed Sep 29, 2025Chalet très spacieux, très bien équipé (lave linge, micro onde, four, bouilloire, frigidaire, salon avec tv et canapé d’angle. Logement indépendant des propriétaires. Cadre verdoyant en pleine campagne, des chevaux. A 22 km de Galway, à proximité de la mer, Supérette Texco à 5 min en voiture. Wifi gratuit.
Peut être envisager des toilettes à l’étage car la nuit attention dans les escaliers mais cela ne retire en rien la qualité et les prestations fournies du chalet.

The only slightly inconvenient thing was that sleeping on the sofa in the first-floor bedroom was not comfortable, as the sofa isn’t the best.

Frying pan could have been a bit bigger. The decorations on the stairs felt a bit delicate and we worried about breaking them if they fell.

It's a bit off the beaten track, but only 3 minutes drive to a gorgeous little quiet beach. 9 minutes drive to spiddal where there is a beautiful walk around the beaches. Ideal for a peaceful break away.

The host was very accommodating, allowing us to check in a bit later, and communication was seamless.
