Ghleann Éada Cottage Pet Friendly

Nous avons passé une semaine dans ce cottage et tout était parfait. Le cadre est très apaisant. Nous avions vraiment besoin de déconnecter et bien c'est l'endroit idéal pour ça ! C'est typique, le lit est très confortable, la pièce à vivre avec cuisine ouverte est très agréable. On s'y sent vraiment bien et à l'aise. Ça a été décoré avec goût, la cuisine est plutôt bien équipée, la possibilité de faire des machines c'est top. Il y avait même un piano j'ai vraiment apprécié pouvoir jouer, la bibliothèque et variée et bien fournie. En sortant on a même découvert le petit patio extérieur de la maison avec son télescope, très belle surprise. Notre hôte a été très réactive lorsqu'on a fait appel à elle et très gentille. En plus de tout ça, la situation géographique est bien, on est à proximité de pas mal de balades, à pied ou en voiture, les montagnes environnantes sont très belles. Il y a deux pubs dans le village voisin et un café ou on mange très bien !

An absolutely stunning location! Beautiful, cosy cottage with comfortable beds.

We brought towels as instructed, but didn't think about tea towels. Fortunately, we had paper towels and surface wipes, but it would have been good to have a dish cloth and tea towels.

Check-in normalement une keybox mais elle était vide donc après plusieurs appels infructueux, un homme désagréable essaie de nous expliquer en anglais que la clé se trouve sous le paillasson. Cottage qui a besoin d'une solide rénovation extérieure

A perfect little hideaway among the mountains. We spent a rainy irish evening in front of the fire. Woke up to a lovely sunny morning with spectacular views of the mountains. Kids loved it too.

Excellent location. The most beautiful Irish cottage and it was so pet friendly, the dogs loved being able to be in the garden. Outside in the sun was wonderful. Inside the cottage was so cosy and interesting to look around. Bed was very comfortable. I am currently looking at my diary to see when we can return. Thank you so much 🥰

Beautiful traditional cottage in an idyllic location and has everything you’d need. Loads to do in the surrounding areas. Hassle free check-in. Will definitely be back.

Cosy and welcoming

The place was extremely clean with lots of extra facilities and condiments in the kitchen. There was also fuel for the fire. It was a perfect getaway for my partner and I. It would also be appropriate for families or groups of friends.

The downstairs area was a bit cold, even with the fire. The upstairs bedroom was warm with a good radiator. Perhaps there could be more heating downstairs.

It is very cozy 2 bed room cottage. Perfect for couples.

Sehr schönes Haus in perfekter Lage, um alle Sehenswürdigkeiten per Auto zu erkunden. Das Haus liegt direkt an einer Straße, die aber während unseres Aufenthaltes nicht viel befahren wurde, und somit überhaupt nicht störte. Toll ist die Fußbodenheizung, die nicht oft in solchen alten Häusern verbaut ist. Überhaupt ist das Haus sehr liebevoll restauriert worden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl dort gefühlt.

Era muy auténtica y con unas vistas preciosas en el jardín. El piano fue la gran atracción de mis hijos. La preciosa cocina y muy completa.

Todo estuvo genial. Nos encantó poder alojarnos en una casa tan bonita.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cottage! The location is simply stunning – right at the foot of the mountain, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. The house itself is uniquely and beautifully decorated, full of character and charm. One of our favourite features was the standalone wooden cabin in the garden – a cosy little hideaway that added something really special to our stay. As dog owners, we also really appreciated that the property is pet-friendly. It made such a difference being able to bring our four-legged friend along to enjoy the space and surroundings with us. All in all, a truly memorable weekend in a beautiful and thoughtfully designed setting – we’d love to come back!

Loved staying in a thatched roof cottage. The turf fire in the evening was a highlight for sure. We also loved the views and the sheep across the street. Everything was perfect and the host responded very quickly when I had a question. Would absolutely return if I’m ever in the area again.

The stairs to the second floor bedroom are steep so they may not be for everyone. Pulling out of the driveway onto the road is tricky because it’s a blind curve so care must be taken. I had my daughter go across the street to direct me when the road was clear to pull out.

Very cosy setting and the perfect little getaway

The house, a beautiful relaxing place to be in with the added bonus of a completely separate space. Gorgeous high ceilings in the kitchen and sitting room contrasted with the low cosy intimacy of the main bedroom. Gas cooker and beautiful bathroom, the books, the implements and the wonderfully warm atmosphere within.

The underfloor heating was too warm, both in the sitting room and in the bedroom. The path to the separate space had become a stream.

Beautiful property! Photo album in the entrance shows the renovation of this old traditional cottage to its current state, the renovation has been very tastefully completed with great attention to detail. A lovely place to return to after a wet and windy amble in the countryside of along the beach. Gorgeous views all around. Great directions of approaching the cottage and lots of turf to keep the fire going for the first night (and a little left over for the second!).

The property was very well set up for all our needs - one thing we would have appreciated was some kitchen basics - specifically olive oil, there was a little salt and pepper and what seemed to be a couple for bits left behind by previous guests, but that would have made life a little easier in a self catering cottage, but understand this isn't a necessity to be provided - maybe to note to bring some along if you need it!

The cottage was beautiful and cozy. Perfect for a chill getaway from doing touristy things. The scenery was amazing and everything we needed was provided! The owner was available for questions and was very helpful!

Being from America and not being used to more rustic living, the water heating/starting a peat fire was new for me and my family. The owner did give instructions on how to do these things which was awesome but it was an environment where you had to work a bit harder to make it comfortable (but it felt like part of the rustic charm)

The cottage was absolutely adorable. Great modern kitchen and the details in the modernization was perfect.

The beds were extremely hard, but I’m beginning to believe this is an us problem. We Americans enjoy less firm beds. Everyplace we stayed had very firm beds.

Cozy vintage cottage with beautiful garden and views from the backyard. Was able to wash our clothes, had electric kettle for coffee and many other kitchen amenities and working fireplace.

Beds were not comfortable, driveway even to leave was very dangerous as you can't see oncoming traffic, peat wouldn't burn for the fire and shower water pressure was quite poor.

Beautiful Beautiful cottage, beds where so comfortable and excellent pillows, fully equipped kitchen, and lots of turf for the fire 😁 a real bonus to find the hillside cabin with fantastic views for star gazing, will definitely be back, Lorcan couldn't have done more for us, help with a reliable taxi, lots of leaflets of things to do and places to eat in the area, you will not regret booking this wee gem.
