Reviewed Sep 14, 2026A lovely room for a solo traveler. A BATHTUB! So welcome after a long drive. The dining room served a very nice meal. Breakfast was just right. A perfect full Irish. The most positive comments are for the staff; attentive, focused, pleasant. They could not have been more helpful.
Just a slight comment; the windows were open at check in which was nice, but logistically, the bathroom window was difficult to reach. No bother. I found a volunteer.

The cleanliness in the hotel bedroom was very poor .The welcome book had a stain on the cover. There was no mattress protector on the bed .The fitting sheet was badly stained.I found the mattress protector in the wardrobe and left it out for the staff who serviced the room on our second day to put it on the bed, but unfortunately it remained in the bag.The throw was badly strained aswell.

Reviewed Sep 11, 2026The lotcation was perfect, convienent to bus stops and all amienities. The view was amazing, looking out over the Shannon. Great traditional sessions there on a monday. The staff were very friendly and helpful and as for the food it was amazing. I loved the full Iresh breakfast and soda bread, if you had a big appitite they made sure you got plenty. You could take a boat trip on Moon River from accross the road.Cryans is a great place to stay in and the town is so beautiful and clean.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026Excellent hôtel entre le Connemara et Dublin. « The tidiest city in Ireland » vaut bien la peine de s’arrêter, Leitrim et ses abords sur la Shannon sont très joli. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables, le personnel accueillant. Pas loin de l’hôtel, il y a un petit resto qui vraiment bien, le BR bistro and bar, en plus de bien manger, le patron est un artiste peintre connu et il se fera un plaisir de vous faire visiter sa galerie et son atelier, à l’arrière du restaurant.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026spacious clean room came with a great view onto the water, all of the staff throughout our stay were most helpful and welcoming. Lovely breakfast on both days and again very accommodating on personal choices from the breakfast menu. we ate in the hotel on our first night as we were late arriving a few menu choices were no longer available but a turkey and ham roast dinner was nice and served piping hot. The hotel is in a great central location should you wish to take a walk around the town and there are plenty of restaurants within the small town to choose from.
be aware there is limited car parking at the rear of the hotel, apart from that there was little we din't like about Cryans

The breakfast choices for vegetarians were limited compared to the meat options, an additional egg option of an omelette wound have been welcome and alternatives to cows milk yoghurt eg goats or sheeps milk. Being given a cafetière of coffee would be good so one could’ refill oneself rather than waiting to be served

Reviewed Jun 9, 2026We were allocated a very nice room with three windows and lovely views over the River front. The bed was comfortable and we managed to get parked in the back OK . The bathroom was well appointed and we had a very nice stay . Breakfast was very nice too.
Not affecting out stay but the outside of the building lets the hotel down a bit. Needs painting and the windows need repair to the seals and painting as well.

Great location. Receptionist was also very friendly. Loved when we came back from our night out, porter asked for exact names on the rooms to let us in.

Reviewed Jun 7, 2026Receptionist was very nice and welcoming. The lady in the breakfast room was very chatty and friendly ( originally from Clare). We did head to the bar for a bite to eat before heading out very tasty and delicious.
Just the bed, not comfortable very hard, and that night I could hear the howling through the window, mind you it was a windy, damp and cold night for June.
