Property is neet and clean , good for staying with family , if you like home like environment

property is 16 km away from munnar center , on cochin NH , Remote place no nearby eateries , access to all sight seeing locations are far from stay you may need to travel 16 -20 kms , AC is ok kind , one of the bathroom has facet water tap not working

The hosts are very warm and made me feel at home. Room was clean and spacious. I feel the room could do with more amenities but since the hosts are friendly one can always ask for anything needed. Overall nice stay. thanks

We stayed for 2 nights in the most amazing homestay.Warm and friendly host , big room in the big house,comfortable bed, delicious home made food ( charged extra),good working A/C, decent WiFi,very quiet. There's a river one can swim in and tarmacked road for a walks.

It’s a beautiful home located in a quiet village not far from Munnar. The house itself is beautiful and spacious, with enough privacy for every guest. But the surplus of this Homestay are the owners. Shijo and Susan were amazing hosts. They helped us with everything we needed, from Tuk Tuk tours, to hiking to arranging transportation for our next stop. We also had delicious breakfasts and dinners at the house. It’s a very friendly environment that also made us meet many interesting people from all over the world!

Our stay in Munnar Village Homes was a the best. A charming house, spacious clean rooms with a balcony to a beautiful garden full of spices like Moringa, Pepper, nutmeg, cardamon and more. The landlord is a sweet woman who welcomed us with a big smile and made us feel comfortable. And lovely Shijo who was our host is an exceptional person. He did everything so that we will have the best vacation. He arranged us Taxis for day excursions, arranged us delicious meals and recommended places to see. We had very interesting conversations with Shijo about India and it made our stay enjoyable and interesting. We can't wait to come back ! Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

Everything was perfect

Such a beautiful stay with Shijo and Susan. The place has everything you need, and it is located in a beautiful small village by a river (where you can swim). I'll always remember my stay - can't recommend it enough!

Room and food

We loved our stay with Shijo and Suzanne. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, including hot water! The area is calm and we had some good sleep there. Meals prepare by hosts every morning and evening were super yummy. Highly recommend!

Location was great.. surrounded by trees, forest like atmosphere but safe.. hosts are great people.. they even took care of my baby while I was eating.. order your food there itself,becoz hotels around aren't that great. Felt like a good relative's home..

The ambience, cleanliness and the behavior of Shijo and Aunty. Excellent place for vacation.

The bed is for only two adult. If you have a child, a bit challenging for sleeping all together.

We had a wonderful stay with our hosts Shijo and Susan. Their house is located 1 km from the main road to Munnar (45 min to Munnar), in a quiet and beautiful, green street. Breakfast and dinner was served to us daily, which was deliciously prepared by Susan. After a disappointing tour at a touristic spice farm next to the main road, Shijo took us around the neighbourhood and the river for an actual tour. As he grew up there, he knows every tree, plant, animal and neighbour. It doesn’t get more authentic than this! We can definitely recommend this homestay.

First of all we all felt like at home from the very first moment. The hosts are the most heartwarming people you can imagine. We had plenty of nice discussions, home cooked meal and various tips for sightseeing. The beautiful house is further from touristic places but totally worth it, the views are spectacular and birds are chirping all day long. Also nice area to walk around. The hosts arranged us a driver so distance wasn’t a problem at all.

The rooms were clean..hospitality was good...no interference of the care takers...

No Air conditioners in the rooms...As it was hot there in February.

Shijo and aunty are so humble,perfect location,nice terrace view,feels like i am in my house,delicious homemade food,i wish could have 1 more month to stay with them.

We had the best time in this accommodation. The hosts are incredibly nice and warmhearted and we felt so supported in every way. The house is just beautiful, so the room, and we loved it to be a little bit outside, where it is calm and relaxing. They are also offering breakfast and dinner (or lunch, you can choose) and Susan is really the best chef - great indian dishes you normally don’t find in restaurants. So we fell in love with this special place and are super grateful that we found it.. next time in India, we will come back for sure!

Everything was perfect !

The location was perfect, quiet and picturesque. The accommodation was superb, immaculate and very comfortable, soft bed and clean linen. Home cooked food was wonderful. Susan (owner and host) was so welcoming and Shijo (manager and host) was helpful, welcoming and made our stay simply perfect, both very lovely people. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean and good facilities. Quiet area and a tuktuk to the main road, where you can take a 30 min bus ride to Munnar, can be planned with host for just 60 rupees.

The communication was not always the best. We wanted to go out to eat for dinner but the host thought we wanted to eat at the Homestay without us asking for it so they had already prepared the food and we stayed home. The food is good though:)

To begin with, Shijo bhai is amazing person, soft spoken, super friendly and always ready to help. Room was good. Location wise bit far from munnar city but really beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommended

Only con was lunch/dinner is not available at homestay,and only one restaurant delivers food here. Hopefully in future they may start providing home cooked food.

Very welcoming host, calm and beautiful place

The place is beautiful surrounded by lush green trees. The host's welcoming nature makes it more amazing. It was a peaceful stay with good traditional food cooked by the beautiful owner aunty Susan. This place has my heart.

Home, Caretaker and Cleanliness

This is the best homestay available if you are planning for munnar. Family here is most homely. Rooms are super clean with all basic facilities available. Owner takes care of everything you ask for. Parking facilities are also good. If you are driving please be cautious as road to home stay is little small.

I really liked my stay. I was there two nights. They were very helpful and kind. Meals available, very tasty. The home is on a quiet road, surrounded by forest. I highly recommend. If there's anything you need, just ask, they are very helpful and caring.

Please include in your advertisement that aircon is not available.

Lovely stay and amazing hospitality. The host really goes above and beyond and the staff are so friendly. Honestly amazing value. So glad I added this stay to my trip.
