Reviewed Aug 31, 2026This is the 2nd year running that we have stayed in lovely Finch Nest. It is a really peaceful and beautiful get-away with the animals visiting every day right outside. Sarel is an excellent host in keeping us up-to-date with sightings, restaurants to visit etc. Nothing is too much trouble and he made us feel really at home. Well done Sarel and Lizelle on giving us a truly memorable holiday! Cathy and Alan Copsey

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026Spotlessly clean, perfectly equipped for two people, and situated close to the Crocodile river on the western side of Marloth Park. Very quiet and peaceful. Sarel provides all the info you need including daily sightings on the river. What a gem of a place.

Reviewed Jun 26, 2026We had a lovely time at Finches Nest. The unit was very well equipped, very clean, and neat. The bed was comfortable as well as the bedding and pillows. The shower and water pressure was also really good. The unit also has backup power and water which came in handy twice during our stay. I also enjoy having the minimal fencing around the patio for a little bit of separation from the animals. The hosts were very informative and communicated well throughout our whole stay.

The rooibok will bully the duikers away from the feed, and the Kudu will jump the lowish fence to help himself to feed forgotten on the table. Otherwise nothing

Reviewed Sep 13, 2025This is an unbelievable home away from home. The accommodation was superb - impeccably clean, comfortable with different animals visiting everyday right on the property. What a piece of heaven for totally relaxing and feeling your stress fade away. We can't praise the owner, Sarel, enough. He really goes the extra mile in sending information, making sure everything is in order, as well as regularly pointing out sightings that can be viewed within Marloth Park and in the Kruger. Please - do yourself a real favour and stay a while in this little gem!
