Rawhiti Farm Cottage

Lovely location in some of the most beautiful sheep farming country in NZ. Quaint cottage with deer out the back door. Plenty of space. Good bedding and kitchen facilities. Generous and friendly host.

Nothing to dislike. We would happily stay again.

Loved the set up. It was lovely and warm when we arrived and fully stocked. I wish we could have stayed an extra night to really take in the quietness and beauty of the place.

Ideal country stay. Great setting with beautiful views and literal hands on contact with the farm animals.

Only detraction was no washing facilities available. If staying more than a couple of nights the ability to wash your clothes is important. Driving to town to use the Laundromat is not on your wish list.

It was a lovely, quaint and peaceful setting. Had everything we needed to be relaxed and comfortable. Lots of lovely extras such as the candles, marshmallows etc. We could easily have stayed longer if we we able to. Loved seeing the animals.

Great communication. Lovely spot. Our host warmed up the house for us as we got there late evening. Very nice welcoming touches.

Not much to look at exterior but beautifully renovated homely interior. Everything we needed for an overnight stay. Appreciated the owners thoughtfulness on putting heater on prior to our arrival. Great quality bed linen, electric blanket and hot water bottle. Very special to have sheep and fallow deer just outside. Very quiet. Be aware that you’re a few kms away from Taihape so be organised with food

Great location, clear instruction, beautiful scenery. Waking up to deer and sheep hanging out in the backyard was great!

Location was lovely to look out of the windows on a frosty morning. Immaculately clean everywhere. Easy location to find.

Heaters where plug in ones, so took a while to warm the place up; heatpump would improve wait time maybe...

The cottage is really comfortable and has everything you might need. We really enjoyed the rural setting. The shower has brilliant hot water pressure.

Loved our stay on the farm. Very clean, comfortable beds, great shower. Beautiful outlook. Loved petting the calves and watching the deer just outside the cottage. Thoughtful extras available like milk, cereal, and condiments. Such a peaceful and beautiful place. Loved a game of darts and every space had blankets for extra warmth. Would love to stay again! Huge thanks for finding items we left behind, fantastic hosts!

We had a great stopover here. The kids loved checking out the farm animals and playing with the train set. The cottage was very clean and cozy.

Fabulous location, this cute little cottage adjacent to a working farm had wonderful furnishings, bedlinen and towels. It’s the little things that count! Fabulous views overlooking sheep , calves and a lot of deer! What a wonderful sight to wake up to in the morning. Every comfort was catered for and the host Hannah was delightful offering us a tour around the farm land. A very remarkable enjoyable stay. We will be back.!

The inside of the property was lovely. Very good furnishings, linen and towels

Don't judge a book by its cover. The outside didn't do it justice.. Not awful but could be brightened up a bit to reflect the facilities inside.

Lovely, well equipped, tasteful cottage with comfortable beds. In a quiet, rural setting with superb views across the valley. Had excellent communication with the host on directions to the cottage and on their farm for fishing. Appreciated all the 'little extra's'. Thank you for a great weekend.

It was quite cold in the morning.

The house was in a beautiful location and was easy to find. The beds are super comfortable and shower is great. The hosts left us milk, cereal, tea and coffee etc! I would recommend this property !

We enjoyed the stay , the beds were so comfortable. Lovely having the breakfast foods available .

We couldn’t get the tv to work which was kinda annoying

Easy check in Warm and comfortable. Lots of thoughtful touches and it felt just like home.
