This is my new home when travelling to Vryheid. Yes, it a bit of a distance to the city centre for meals etc but I can live with that when one has a clean, comfortable and well maintained accommodation.

The breakfast was great and well reserved. The location is great. There is too much peace and quietness which was great for relaxation. The building was tidy and beautifully decorated.

The insatallation of a swimming pool can be good idea especailly during summer in a place like Vryheid, one will need to chill by the pool in summer with dreadful heat.

Unfortunately, no breakfast was served even when the booking price was inclusive of breakfast

The place is managed fully remotely and sometimes when physical assistance is needed, it's never there.

We were on a road trip from the coast and it was the perfect place for a sleep over.

We arrived at the guesthouse at about 5pm after a very long day of travelling on shocking roads. Monica eventually responded to our numerous calls and buzzing on the gate intercom. Surprise, surprise… She had double booked and there was no room for us?? She was not there, and after a look around the property I can say for sure there were no other guests. Her response to this was that they were all out. Nonsense!! She arranged for us to stay at another guesthouse, and promised that it was of the same standard and that it also included breakfast. Whilst it was comfortable, there was no breakfast. My payment to Pecan Guesthouse had already gone through, but Monica said the place we were going to stay at was the same price and that she would pay for our stay there. I’ve lost out as Pecan Guesthouse was definitely more expensive, and included breakfast. All I can say is I’ve never experienced anything like this before, and I use Booking.com quite frequently.

Easy to find, and good reception from the host. Enjoyed the privacy and the room was very nicely furnished and clean. The welcome sherry and proper coffee were a lovely surprise!

The facilities was clean I liked it and peaceful.

Every time we needed assistance the was no one to assist we had to call every time. It was raining so from the 1st gate to the 2nd gate it was too muddy the car got muddy, tyres were just full of mud. The TV was too difficult to operate if possible please improve on that. Everything else was super. Thank you for a peaceful stay.

I liked the place, the bathroom had enough space for 2 people, even the room had all the essentials that is needed .

None but the breakfast was not good

We loved the attention to detail in the design of the whole accommodations. Small things like quality ground coffee, and the amazing breakfast. Even though they are on the main road and a little out of town, it is very peaceful and quiet there.

There is really nothing not to like here, everything exceeded our expectations. Perhaps the potholes in the national road are the only negative.

This place is indeed exclusive and it was like i was in a 5 star hotel. It is so secure, clean and perfect and it was something I was not expecting and I felt like i can stay for a week.

There is nothing to improve this place is the best in town. I would encourage whosoever never experience this to go and see for themselves and they will not regret.

The property was extremely safe and well furnished, with a satisfying ambience. The beds, rooms, and showers were great!

The road to the property was not great (none of the properties fault though). I also would have preferred a hot breakfast as opposed to a cold breakfast left in the fridge.

I loved everything about the place, the location where it is situated, the facility is beautiful, the owner is welcoming and friendly and so is the staff members. This was not my first time being in the place. So definitely anytime I come to Vryheid, I will continously book the place. It feels like home away from home. I highly recommend the place.

Everything about the place. The host was also very helpful. Definitely visiting again.

We really enjoyed our stay, it felt like it was our very own private home. The place is beautifully decorated and the pre-made breakfast was great. The host, Monica, was always available via whatsapp.

The toilets didn't flush very well and when the other room flushed their toilet our toilet would bubble. It was a bit far out of town to get to a shop or eat out. We were on motorbikes.

The room I booked comfortable until the owner decided to move me to a backyard room

Being treated bad to accommodate ‘overseas white guest’. The smell of cooking oil and food in the morning and late afternoon for white overseas guests. The old unhealthy breakfast stored in the fridge. Sugary drinks provide instead of healthy options. Dusty rooms and shower that was only cleaned once in my five days stay. Poor network

The breakfast was convenient. The location was prefect for our journey and easy access to the main road. I loved the view and the room was also amazing. The bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby. Communication with the host was the best part.

Quiet and the scenery was beautiful. Host was super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend for anyone. Room was clean and fully equipped with everything needed.

Unfortunately, we did not have electricity due to bad weather. A few pointers for the future: 1. Loadshedding lamps in the rooms. 2. Back-up plan for water supply if there is no electricity.

I was expecting a full English breakfast; this continental breakfast they are advertizing is not make sure - they need to improve their breakfast or just not offer breakfast at all

The doors in the rooms have openings - meaning that when you are sleeping in your room you could hear what is happening outside and into the other rooms - they can also hear you where as rooms are very close to each other - i think this should improve

I like the fact that It’s away from everything Very Peaceful ☺️
