Room service for breakfast, forgot to collect card of door with order then food came cold 🥶.

We stayed in the McWilliam for our day 2 of our wedding in Claremorris town. They were really helpful and quick at reception. We told them that we were staying for Our day 2 and they were really disappointed that we didn't inform the prior to staying as they said they would have done something for us. I thought this was really nice and I felt really regretful for not telling them. But i really appreciated the gesture.

No restaurant, only able to have dinner in bar. Food service stopped at 8.45 pm?

Breakfast was nice and very nice staff working. Good to have it served hot from the kitchen.

Cold water in the shower in the morning. Alot of noise coming from the Concert last Wednesday night. Nobody mentioned this was happening. I had to get up early to do a teams call to Singapore after not getting to sleep very well with the noise.

Young staff in the restaurant do not seem to care about patrons. Walking around aimlessly not paying attention to the tables. We had to approach someone for a menu. And the again to take our order. For a 4 star hotel this is not acceptable

We had a wonderful stay and everything about the hotel was perfect. What really made our stay extra special, though, was the duty manager, Katie McCormack. She was so friendly, helpful and welcoming, and really went above and beyond for us. Katie is a real credit to the hotel and would definitely be one of the main reasons we would choose to stay here again.

The evening entertainment on the night was brilliant.

We sent our parents for their 50 wedding anniversary, the hotel upgraded my parents to a suite which they said was fabulous.

Breakfast service was very slow. The food in the restaurant was very basic so a little disappointed.

Being celiac myself, I don't eat out. I did order eggs and received 2 perfect boiled eggs to my liking. I bring my own bread and was satisfied with the breakfast. My husband got his usual breakfast and it was perfect.

Next time I book I will look for a room beside the lift. For pensioners with health issues that would be a great help. Apart from the long walk to our room everything else was perfect.

The food was excellent evening meals etc.breakfast top class no faults at all and staff very polite n courteous.

The only fault I could think of was a fridge in the room but that’s just a thing for me as I have medical issues but I had my own mini fridge. Other couldn’t fault anything about the hotel .

Great location and excellent facilities. The room was clean and comfortable, and the reception staff were very helpful, friendly, and welcoming.

Breakfast was extremely disappointing. It appeared that the restaurant was seriously understaffed, with the team clearly under a great deal of pressure. Tables were not being cleared or cleaned properly, which created an unpleasant and unhygienic environment. When I asked one staff member to clean our table, he simply wiped the crumbs and food onto the floor. He then left the existing cutlery and cups on the table rather than replacing them with clean ones. The staff were very young and appeared to be under-trained and overwhelmed by the situation. While I appreciate that they seemed to be doing their best under difficult circumstances, the overall standard of service at breakfast was very poor and needs significant improvement.

The hotel is in an ideal location for where I wanted to go. The staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly and the food was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to base themselves there for exploring the lovely county of mayo.

My room it had a shower over the bath now I would have preferred a walk in shower it would have been easier for me and room was a bit dated. I felt it was still the same since my first visit there in 2010 & ive been going there every year since bar maybe 1 or 2 years that I couldn't get it.

Great location for exploring county Mayo

Well maintained, clean, tidy, great staff. One of the few hotels where Insaw staff cleaning door handles and brass push plates regularly. Probably one of the best “roast beef” dinners I have had ever.

Breakfast, the full Irish was hardly a snack and if you wanted omelette with something there was a 5 euro surcharge. Other meals however more than made up for it.

Very disappointed had to pay extra for breakfast and then had to pay extra for omelette !!!

Food was lovely ,staff at reception and fitness centre /pool were fantastic Sraff in restaurant not so good, forgot my tea and toast for breakfast 1st morning, second morning forgot my daughters breakfast and we were all finished when she got hers . Also staff at restaurant for evening meal not so good told us can she bring starter out with mains cause they were crazy busy and this would delay everything if we wanted starter and mains separate.food was excellent but not so much restaurant staff

When I booked in I say about dinner, said l didn't need to book a table, went do for dinner had to wait 20 mins.

Excellent location, spacious and clean room, good facilities, we did use swimming pool, Bar & found staffs friendly, patient and polite.

Breakfast could have been warmer.

We stayed here for 3 nights recently while taking in the western coast. The hotel is so clean and well presented. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious every morning. We didn't have lunch or dinner as we were exploring further afield! Would definitely recommend for comfort centralized location and overall value for money

Lovely hotel, room was very spacious. My only disappointmemt was not receiving a return telephone call when I wanted to extend my stay and therefore I stayed elsewhere.

The staff were lovely ,rooms were cozy after they got the TVs working for us and the food was lovely .

The food was lovely but I asked for a side of fries which I never got and had to ask four times for water for the table . Pre-booked and paid for breakfast the night before but when we got the breakfast we were informed they ran out of pudding for the full Irish . However the staff did give us mushrooms and a hash brown instead .

Lovely, clean modern hotel and lovely facilities. Rooms were really nice and spacious.

Only issue was with the service. Quite slow to get drinks at the bar and nobody going around clearing tables all night, every table had empty glasses and plates left on them. Breakfast service was extremely slow. We went down for breakfast shortly after 10am to be told that they were full and we would have to wait for a table, at least 10 others in the que also waiting. Waited at least 10mins for table and it wasn't even cleared when we sat down, so that delayed more time. Once all was sorted and we ordered we waited well over 20mins for the hot food, it was however very nice and fresh when it did eventually arrive but they had ran out of some foods so the full Irish was missing some bits. Seemed to be no manager or anyone in charge going around to keep on top of things or to explain the delays, limited staff trying to keep on top of everything.

The hotel and facilities were excellent.

We had a fabulous stay at the McWilliam Park Hotel last weekend. The location is excellent. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was fantastic, and staff couldn't do enough for us - they were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. A special mention to Kate, who is absolutely amazing. She is incredibly professional and goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Highly recommended!

Stayed here recently during a cycling event in the area. Staff were so helpful, rooms lovely, would recommend.

Tables too close together in the bar for eating, especially when you have young children

I recently booked multiple rooms in this hotel for a birthday drink for my mother she was 86 years old and quite religious so I decided to book some rooms so she could have a nice quiet drink and some food and visit knock shrine as well But when my mother arrived with her friends and family she looked down upon like a piece of crap on your shoe The staff were so ignorant and racist they would try to serve my family without even trying to make eye contact The group of lady’s were respectful and polite but no matter how they tried to be respectful they were made to feel so unwanted In particular a server by the name of Nell Raising her voice and making my mother feel so awkward and embarrassed This hotel staff should be embarrassed and ashamed of how they treated paying guests who spent a fair deal of money which they couldn’t get out of her hand fast enough but showed zero thanks for the money If you are group of ladies planning on booking this hotel and you don’t happen to be bred and born in Ireland with white skin I highly recommend you avoid this hotel as they will make their business to ruin your stay Keep well clear

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay, particularly my experience with the hotel bar staff worst hotel stay ever Two bar staff Nell and Melanija the were arguing among there selfs which was rude and unprofessional, which made my stay uncomfortable. I was also concerned about disruptive behaviour from a group of young men running through corridors and knocking on doors, at 12 at night while staff appeared to focus instead on a group of older women who were not causing issues. This gave the impression that disturbances were not being handled appropriately. In addition, I had concerns about food hygiene standards in the bar based on what I observed. Nell could be doing with a hygiene check. During dinner, a member of staff interrupted a ladies meal and asked her to step away from the table to discuss the group of older women she was dining with. This was embarrassing, inappropriate, and could easily have waited until after the meal or been handled much more discreetly. No guest should be singled out and asked to leave their dinner to discuss other members of their party. The situation was handled without any consideration for privacy or respect, and it completely spoiled what should have been an enjoyable evening. I found the whole experience unprofessional and extremely disappointing. I would not expect this level of service from any hotel.

Went to the McWilliam a few days ago and I am still getting over how good the experience was. I myself used to work in the hospitality sector and I know it isn’t easy, but the guy behind the bar was obviously very busy but made sure my experience was wonderful. I noticed his interactions with a few other people and saw how he gave everyone his full attention all while keeping the bar immaculate! Top tier employee they have there and I will be back!

Lovely hotel and lovely experience- great care taken from meals to the room. Natalia was a lovely server both evenings we stayed.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, modern, and clean. The pool and leisure club were excellent. At dinner, our server Natalia was amazing. She made sure we had everything we needed and was very attentive. Thank you Natalia! 😊

We as a family of 10 adults and 3 children booked the Mcwilliams for a family break away expecting a lovely time. But it was far from what we experienced. Hotel rooms were lovely pool was exceptional but our evening out was ruined . We booked our meal for 7.30pm and the whole experience was rushed. Our meal was literally one course after another without any space. Then we were staying in bar for an evening drink out and at 10.30pm we were asked to move out of the bar . When we asked about finishing our drinks in the lobby we were told by no means . The exact words used to us was go to your rooms. This was done by security guards in black uniforms and we felt very intimidated by it all. When we complained the following morning we were told it was because they had some guests there that they felt could be trouble. Then on Saturday night the music didn't show up and it was so boring considering Mayo was in the All Ireland on Sunday. There was absolutely no atmosphere in Hotel. I would not recommend this hotel and we will not return. And with the price for 2 rooms for my immediate family I feel it was a waste of hard earned money.

Breakfast was good evening meal was poor not a great selection and food was bland went out to dinner after 1 night. Nice hotel but it lacks atmosphere the railing above reception was very dusty would expect more from a 4 star hotel

Awful experience staff was very rude particularly a heavy one who was sweating alot. Smelling from the arm pit area while trying to eat food very stomach turning

Nell was an excellent waitress, the food was lovely and we had a great time. The lighting was a bit bright and there were loads of kids, it felt a little like breakfast rather than dinner at times.

The food in bar was lovely. Highly recommend. Leah was very attentive and friendly. Rooms are spotless clean and serviced daily. Swimming pool opens nice and early so had sauna and jacuzzi before breakfast. Great experience.

Fabulous hotel, lovely room. We used the pool, steamroom and jacuzzi both days and loved it. The staff in all areas were great, friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast, lots of choice, we had dinner both nights and it was delicious, our server Leah looked after us so well. There is plenty of parking and loads of seating areas. Would highly recommend.
