Reviewed Jun 22, 2026The location was magnificent with views over the mountains. The roads were not too bad considering the distance from the main road. The cottage is light and airy with every facility we needed.
We find the shower to be very slippery when wet which is not a good idea for older people

Reviewed Nov 30, 2025Peacefull. The only thing i would recommend is a carport/shade for the vehicle. Maybe some ice trays to make ice. We did not go out and about, because we had our dogs with us,but had to go and buy ice. Fantastic braai wood.

Reviewed Jul 14, 2025The property is spectacular! It is very modern and is tastefully furnished, including all the mod-cons you need for a short stay - including a dishwasher! The endless supply of wood was a welcome feature in the chilly Witzenberg evenings and early mornings. The owners paid attention to detail, even down to providing hot water bottles. Being part of a game farm, seeing the buck and the zebra was another feature that made our weekend even more memorable. PS the bottle of wine that was provided on our arrival was a lovely, thank you.

The furniture was well appointed but the location of each piece didn't allow for watching TV in comfort. Bedside lamps were poor for reading. The view at Tulback Mnt Cabin, where we stayed b4 had a much better view and was a lot cosier.

Showerhead in poor condition. Aircon wasn't working properly in 1 room. Small Scorpion came out the sink on our first day there. Spiders as well! Thankfully the host kept bug killing spray in the room! Nature issues, no fault of the host.

Reviewed May 25, 2024The house is absolutely beautiful, has everything you could need and more. Spotless on arrival and a complimentary bottle of wine, rusks and tasting vouchers. The view is so awesome and fills your soul. I don't think it could be any better. The owner was so helpful and responsive. I have traveled extensively in SA and abroad and I state that this is one of ten most perfect units anyone could want to stay in.

Reviewed Apr 23, 2024Loved absolutely everything!! It’s not often that we are prepared to give a perfect 10 rating to a property, but this is well deserved. Spotlessly clean, unbelievable architecture and views, super comfortable beds and gracious hosts. We will definitely be back.
None - our only regret was only booking for one night. Can easily stay here for a week.
