If you want a relaxing place to base yourself to tour around the area this is the place for you. From walking in the front door you are spoilt by staff who will make you feel like a guest in their home. ..The buffet breakfast is amazing and the swim up bar in the pool an added bonus. Located next door to the Golden Temple and the temple caves. Enjoyed our stay so much we extended our stay.

The property was amazing. We felt very relaxed as we walked in. The kids loved the pool. The swim bar was a bonus. Breakfast was very delicious. The staff were very friendly helpful and very good to all us.

The room was modern, clean and a really big bathroom. The restaurant was nice and the food fairly quick and tasty. The location is excellent for access to the Cave temples and also not being right in rhe very busy areas of the town. Felt like a little bolt hole in a busy place. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

The restaurant is really quite expensive- drinks and food. We spent more here on a couple of meals than pretty much anywhere else in Sri Lanka.

There aren't enough sunbeds around the pool given the number of rooms and guests. Most of them are in the shade all day which is a shame as I like to lie in the sun. They are doing building works so parts of the hotel looks scruffy and there is banging from 9am onwards The gardens are scruffy and patchy The restaurant where we had dinner in our first night, the food was good when it came, but it was soooo slow.. Over an hour and although I had requested mine to be gluten free, the chicken was covered in bread crumbs so I had to reject it. I was assured it would be quick. It wasn't. Another hour later I got my food. My family had all finished and had been offered dessert when I hadn't even had my mains. Rather inconsiderate of the female European manager on duty who kept coming over and asking then what dessert they wanted. They did waive the cost of my meal in the end but only after some negotiation. We never ate there again, but got tuk tuks to Dambulla or ate in sigirya after sunset walks up the rock etc. They lost a t-shirt when we handed in our laundry. They did waive the cost of the laundry ( a fraction of the cost of the t-shirt) but only when we asked. The location.. We didn't do it research properly, so lured by the swimming pool pictures! It is 40mins drive from all the main sites....lions rock, the elephant reserves etc. And a 10 min drive from all the restaurants in Dambulla (of which there are only a few), so you are a bit stuck there unless you have a driver. We wish we'd stayed in a hotel in the sigirya where there are loads of fab restaurants to choose from.

Langsom service Små portioner mad - gik sultne i seng 2 nætter Fik større portioner efter vi klagede . Super tjener Yohan Vi tog en ekstra nat hvor en “smart” Receptionist tog røven på mig hvilket kostede os 23$.- yderligere “beordrede” ham os til at give et “10” i rating på booking - hvilket jeg blev ekstrem fornærmet over. Han løj mig op i ansigtede - “det værelse vi boede i var booket til dagen efter - så tilbud han os 2 “langt væk fra pool “ hvilket vi selvsikkert ønskede. Så fik vi tilbud om nabo rummet - optimalt - men så var det han så sit snit til at hæve beløbet - jeg mistede min rabat på booking og han scorede en booking og hævede prisen. Han lovede yderligere at vi fik med morgenmad - Senere sendte han en besked at morgenmaden ikke var inkl. lig 91$ oveni Vi måtte vente ved tjek in som var kl 15 . Sent nok i forhold til vores rejsetid, endte i rummet kl 16 - dårlig stil. Den anden receptionist Zaky redede opholdet han var helt igennem professionel hjalp til ved det mindste - han

Very welcoming and comfortable hotel. Good breakfast selection and nice restaurant for evening meal and the lady was brilliant and give us good food suggestions. Zacky was extremely helpful to answer any questions and made sure we had everything we needed.

The staff were fabulous, in particular, Jhan. He was exceptionally trained in all aspects of service and so lovely. Located right next door to the must see Dambulla cave temple.

The property was great, only we had to walk up three flights of stairs to get to our particular room.

The pool which was closed when we arrived due to a water issue was rectified in a day & the wonderful manager Siddu made a plan to spend the afternoon as a neighbouring hotel pool. Happy hr cocktails from 6-7pm were amazing & totally delicious. Dinner fantastic & service from our waiter, Johan, outstanding. All the staff were amazing including the chefs. Best Sri Lankan breakfast ever ! Hopper Benedict & banana bread to die for! Lying by the pool all day and having cocktails in the swim up bar was the best last day in Sri Lanka.

Unfortunately the spa / gym/yoga listed on their facilities offering was closed which was disappointing and we did advise he change this on booking.com

The staff were all super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Johan was incredible and was so kind throughout our trip.

There was building work going on throughout our trip which was a bit disruptive, but never at night.

Siddu and JH were very helpful, we spent great time there

到着時から出発まで、スタッフの皆さんにはとても親切にしていただきました。Zakyさん、Chamindaさん、ありがとうございました！早朝出発で朝食が取れない日にはランチボックスも用意いただけて有難かったです。シャワーのお湯がすぐ出た点もとても良かったです。

If you want to feel true Lankan flavour - Sundaras Infinity Jungle Resort hotel is the right place. The meals were very tasty, the staff was friendly and helpful and the most memorable experience for my son were monkeys on the balcony 🐒 as the hotel is located in the greenery. Moreover, we had a wonderful hotel transfer experience with Hasitha. He was extremely polite, respectful, and never intrusive. During the drive he shared many interesting facts and gave us lots of helpful recommendations for our stay. Most importantly, we felt completely safe and comfortable the whole time. Thank you, Hasitha, for your kindness and professionalism — it made our journey even more enjoyable.

Everything was perfect

Staff were friendly and welcoming. We really liked the shower with the two separate shower heads. We were able to walk to Dambulla temple.

Thank you Zaky for providing us such good service! The hotel is nestled in the jungle, offering a fantastic natural environment close to nature, where you can see monkeys and butterflies. The staff are exceptionally warm and helpful, and all speak English. It's only about a 20-minute walk from the entrance to the Cave Temple, offering great value and an excellent experience.

Lovely staff and great location close to the Cave Temple. Also a short tuk tuk drive into town for dinner. The pool was very nice to cool down after visiting sites.

Overall it was not worth the price. Unfortunately the room was not very clean (floor was dirty) and only 2x 500ml water bottles provided for the entire stay. Overall the place is a bit run down, with many things worn or broken. A shame because the staff really is lovely and the property has a lot of potential.

Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt! Das Dschungelambiente ist wirklich einzigartig und sorgt für eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre. Das Frühstück war einfach mega – frisch, vielfältig und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Die Unterkunft ist insgesamt außergewöhnlich und hebt sich definitiv von anderen ab. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das unglaublich nette und aufmerksame Personal. Ein großes Dankeschön geht an Zaky, der unseren Aufenthalt noch einmal extra besonders gemacht hat!

Monkey coming up aggressive to us on the balcony, we couldn’t get into the pool for 3 hours due to modelling shoot which we were not informed about, tiles around pool were slippery. The music from the bar went late to midnight

Está al lado de las cuevas sagradas y del Buddha de oro. Los niños disfrutaron mucho d ella piscina y de los monos con los que jugaron mucho tiempo. Las camas muy cómodas y amplias. El personal es un 10 y nos llevaron desde aquí mismo en su jeep al safari dd elefantes. Desayuno y comidas muy ricas. Calidad precio es un 10

Het personeel was echt geweldig immens vriendelijk. Siddu en yohann hielpen ons op elke manier dat ze konden. Housekeeping was ook geweldig elke dag een propere en opgeruimde kamer als we terug kwamen in het hotel.

Friendly, attentive, and helpful staff (Siddu and Tharushi: thank you)! The breakfast included is delicious, and the onsite restaurant offers a great selection of Sri Lankan specialties for lunch or dinner. The hotel is in a perfect, central location to explore the area, and the tours on offer to the local attractions are well setup and well-priced.

I didn’t like anything anything, other than staff, who were friendly but I felt that was constrained as they had to be as part of their job. I wasn’t comfortable being there.

The whole place. From the second we arrived the loosely named ‘resort’ looked in a terrible state of disrepair. The Booking.com photos are not representative of what you see when you are shown around. The room stank of clove cleaning spray that was sprayed throughout the room, so much so that it burned the back of our throats, the bathroom was in need of a good clean and like the rest of the resort was in a state of disrepair that could only be fixed by demolition and refurbishing. I know these comments sound harsh but it is what we saw and hopefully allows the reader to a balanced view when deciding whether to stay. By the way, the water in the pool looked to have a film of dust/slime/ ? across the top of the water and sadly does no longer look anything like the photos

The staff are very helpful, specially Siddu, Chamimda and Zaki.

The host was so helpful, especially arranging our onward travel. Lion rock was one of the highlights of our whole trip to Sri Lanka along with the lovely hospitality, going back to the island next year.

Je waant je in de jungle in de stad, naast de tempel. Het personeel is werkelijk super aardig. Lekker zwembad, heerlijk restaurant, grote kamers.

siddu is the best

Bij binnenkomst heb je meteen een jungle gevoel! Service van het team was geweldig! Zelfs de stagiaires deden het erg goed. Speciale dank naar Ovindi en Artuju voor de top service. Locatie is fantastisch gelegen, alle bezienswaardigheden in de buurt zijn prima bereikbaar. Ontbijt is ook een aanrader. Snackbox was een leuke verrassing bij vertrek.

Dat we weer verder moesten met onze reis 😉

Das Essen im Restaurant war gut.

Wir haben dieses Hotel bewusst gebucht, weil auf der Booking.com-Seite ein Fitnesscenter als vorhandene Einrichtung angegeben war. Für uns war das ein entscheidender Faktor bei der Wahl der Unterkunft. Vor Ort stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass das Fitnesscenter nicht existiert bzw. außer Betrieb ist – entgegen der Darstellung auf Booking.com. Als wir deshalb mit Hilfe das Booking.com-Supports eine Stornierung anfragten, behauptete das Hotel zunächst, keine Anfrage erhalten zu haben. Kurz darauf wurde sie jedoch abgelehnt mit der Begründung, es sei klar ausgewiesen, dass das Fitnesscenter außer Betrieb sei – was auf der Buchungsseite nicht der Fall ist. Besonders irritierend war, dass genau eine Minute nach der von Booking.com gesendeten Stornierungsanfrage unsere Kreditkarte belastet wurde, und zwar mit einem Betrag, der $10 über dem in der Buchungsbestätigung angegebenen Preis liegt. Sehr enttäuschend war zudem das Verhalten des Hotelpersonals. Wir wurden wiederholt herablassend und spöttisch behandelt und unsere machtlose Situation wurde Seitens Personal richtig zelebriert. Eine faire Lösung wurde uns nicht angeboten (abgesehen von einem Abendessen). Unter diesen Umständen wie das Personal mit uns umging kam ein Aufenthalt für uns nicht in Frage. Wir haben die Buchung daher zwar bezahlt, aber nicht eingecheckt und stattdessen kurzfristig ein anderes Hotel gebucht.

There is some renovation of facility ongoing, sometimes quite noisy. We were also taking sunrise trip to Pidurangala and Sigitiya sold by hotel which was really a disaster. After booking we discussed via chat price 20eur per person and when we arrived they told us this is 30eur per person. It was supposed to be fully guided tour but driver did not accompany us (which was not needed in fact) but for sure this price was completely out of the range you find in Sri Lanka. Finally driver took us to some private spice garden where we were pressured to do shopping with overpriced products. I really recommend that you do not use hotel for any additional arrangements. Have a look at your bill during check out as some strange exchange rate was used even for accommodation.

De locatie met de prachtige jungle-achtige tuin. Het fijne restaurant met het heerlijke eten. Het heerlijke balkon met uitzicht op het zwembad . Het fantastische personeel. Iedereen was zo aardig.

A 10/10 breakfast, warm and friendly staff, pool the perfect temperature, ice cold beer, comfy beds with A/C that actually works. Thank you Siddu, Sofia, Ovidi and everyone else for making me feel so welcome. Everyone was so attentive.

The music in the restaurant for dinner was a little bit loud but other than that it was a perfect stay!

The setting was beautiful - verdant and abundant; a beautiful pool to look into from the bar and restaurant. Just gorgeous!

My room was in a busy location so a little noisy at times but bed very comfortable and the room spacious.

La struttura si è presentata molto bene immersa nella giungla e staff molto molto cortese il ristorante molto carino la pulizia della camera buona si può migliorare. Rapporto qualità prezzo discreto si può fare di meglio, colazione fantastica, molta varietà e la con la possibilità di scegliere anche i piatti alla carta.

I piatti del ristorante sono buoni, ma il rapporto qualità prezzo non è dei migliori, risultando poco economico rispetto ad altri ristoranti turistici nella zona. Pulizia della stanza buona ma la doccia poteva essere più pulita.

The staff was all terrific starting with Siddu at the reception and Tito who graciously carried even the heaviest bags. The room was standard but the view from the balcony was great. The freshly prepared eggs at breakfast were a perfect start to the day and their pool bar/restaurant has the juiciest mango juice and the rice with various curries was a great recommendation from the lovely staff.

Gyn unfortunately was under renovation but promised to reopen soon.

La Direction est poussive pour laisser un commentaire 5* quitte à demander à prendre votre téléphone et le faire pour vous… petit déjeuner buffet de qualité médiocre mais la partie à la carte est plutôt bonne. Le Manager vient vous parler pendant que vous mangez ou lisez ce qu’on n’apprécie pas min compagnon et moi. Je regrette de ne pas avoir pris de photos mais la porte de notre chambre était endommagée, gros jour entre la porte de balcon et la chambre. Pas de lumière du jour avec la façon dont les rideaux sont mis ce qui est très en deçà du coût du logement comparé à l’ensemble de ce qui se fait au Sri Lanka.

Der große Pool. Freundlicher Haushund(Boxer). Nette Begrüßung mit persönlichem Scheiben, Pralinchen auf dem Nachttisch und sogar Proviantbox beim Abschied, sehr aufmerksames Personal. Man fühlt sich herzlich willkommen. Dankeschön!

Amazing stay! The location is excellent, and we truly felt like we were in the middle of a jungle. Breakfasts were delicious, and the food in the restaurant was outstanding as well. The staff were wonderful — always attentive and genuinely caring about our comfort and overall experience. The pool was very clean, and the room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully kept. We especially loved the balcony with a view of the trees and the pool — such a relaxing atmosphere. We also used the laundry service, which was very convenient — for 5,000 LKR we received a whole bag of fresh, clean laundry. We spent four wonderful nights here and really enjoyed every moment of our stay. Highly recommended!

Suggestion for improvement: The prices listed in the menu are shown as net prices. It would be more convenient for guests if the final prices including tax were displayed, as it would make ordering easier. This is not a major issue, but it would definitely improve the overall guest experience.

Fantastiskt hotell med härlig pool, mycket hjälpsam personal och bra restaurang

The jungle atmosphere with monkeys playing in the trees above you was fun! The pool bar thatched terrace was a lovely new touch which is currently being extended was great. Nicely lit pool anx very helpful and kind staff.

It’s very shaded by the pool so we didn’t really feel like lying there and the pool isn’t heated. The hotel communal toilets desperately need upgrading!! It’s all going to happen soon I feel as work is underway.

Sundaras Jungle Resort was an absolute slice of paradise. From the moment we arrived we felt completely relaxed and immersed in nature. Waking up to birdsong, surrounded by nature and pool views, was simply magical. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive and genuinely cared about making our stay special — always happy to help and full of local knowledge. The rooms were spotless, quiet and blended perfectly with the natural surroundings, making it feel like a luxury escape in the middle of the jungle. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavourful and beautifully presented.

Staff were great. Even though the same staff were there eary in the mirning and laye at night. Always cheerful and helpful. Food was also a highlight. Breakfasts were delicuios and dinners were the same. Happy hour at 6.00 followered by dinner was the go.

The resort is on the older side and probarly showing it. Howerver its clean and all the staff were the best

The staff are there thing about this hotel, helpful and knowledgeable. The property itself is undergoing maintenance, was operating as best possible. Good base to visit the local attractions which can all be organised via the concierge.

Would recommend this place to anyone! It was amazing.

Very welcoming. Nice pool. Rooms were very nice and well kept. Music was excellent New Year’s Eve. Food at the hotel was nice and we enjoyed the trips they arranged. Soddy at main reception was very helpful changing money for us and helping arrange anything we needed. Hotel dog Bruno was gorgeous!

Music was loud until very late and you could hear it in the rooms very clearly.

We liked the location, great for a visit to the rock temple. Staff were friendly. Good value for money.

Rooms were tired, played music into the evening that we could hear in our room. Building work was happening into the evening. The prices in the restaurant did not show tax.

The pool is nice and breakfast selection was good. Staff were helpful.

We booked 3 nights so that we could check in early in the morning and go straight to sleep after our long flight. I emailed twice to confirm but when we got there at 6.30am the room wasn’t ready and we had to wait 2 hours to get into a room. We were then put in a worse room than we’d booked and this meant the stay was a little disappointing. They did give us some money off our food and drinks bill as a gesture but overall it was not the best value for money for us.
