Simple, clean, absolutely lovely staff who went over an above to help. Cute little family run guest house. great location to cave temple but a 15 min tuktuk from sigiriya. Our host had great recommendations for the area and great tuktuk drivers to help us.

Mobile airco is niet voldoende. maar ventilator werkt wel Waterdruk is laag., verlichting is matig.

Notte a Dambulla molto piacevole. Host e dipendenti sempre disponibili e sorridenti. Cena a buffet buonissima, colazione tipica fin troppo abbondante. Abbiamo richiesto un massaggio Ayurvedico il quale ha suscitato in noi sensazioni di sollievo e benessere. Spero vivamente, per la storia che ci ha raccontato il proprietario sulla sua vita, che si possa ampliare il più possibile diventato una meta da non perdersi a Dambulla!

Splendido soggiorno, camera e bagno puliti, acqua calda per la doccia. Staff molto premuroso, ci hanno anche organizzato il tuk tuk per una gita personale e per il giorno della partenza accompagnandoci alla stazione degli autobus. Ristorante ottimo e colazione super. Consiglio vivamente!

A bit noisy, the doors were hard to close. Some monkeys can show up at the windows and try to steal whatever's in front of them, so keep your belongings away.

Emplacement idéal pour visiter le site du temple de Dambulla à pied. La chambre familiale est simple mais spacieuse. Le petit-déjeuner est très copieux et composé des spécialités Sri lankaises. Le propriétaire nous a préparé un buffet malgré notre arrivée tardive. Très bon accueil.

L'emplacement au calme, en sous-bois, la gentillesse du propriétaire, les délicieux petits déjeuners et dîners, la chambre très confortable avec un lit tout neuf.

Camera priva di zanzariere e quindi costretti a mantenere le zanzariere chiuse e quindi risulta un po buia. Nella nostra camera non c’era l’aria condizionata ma solo un ventilatore. Il bagno molto piccolo.

Das Grundstück war wunderschön und lud zur Entspannung ein. Über einen Trampelpfad konnte man in nur 3 Minuten eine wundervolle Aussicht genießen. Die Zimmer waren ausreichend von der Größe mit privatem Badezimmer und Sitzgelegenheiten auf der kleinen Terrasse. Der Tempel ist in Laufdistanz, in der Nähe konnten wir eine Affenfamilie bei ihrer Pause beobachten. In wenigen Minuten ist der Fruchtmarkt zu erreichen, ein lohnenswerter Ausflug. Kumara ist ein sehr herzlicher Gastgeber und wundervoller Koch. Das Rice and Curry war super lecker und auch das Frühstück war mehr als wir essen konnten. Er half uns bei der Organsiation einer Tour in den Mineriya Nationalpark und der Weiterfahrt an unseren nächsten Ort. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Die Lage direkt im Dschungel und trotzdem fußläufig zu den wichtigsten Attraktionen hier vor Ort. Die Anlage ist familiengeführt und entsprechend herzlich und unkompliziert. Die Gebäude sind sehr liebevoll gestaltet, auch die Zimmer. Es ist alles sehr sauber. Das Essen war mega.

Die Klimaanlage in einem der Zimmer ging nicht so hundertprozentig, aber die Ventilatoren haben dafür funktioniert

We stayed 2 nights and had breakfast included but also had dinner there. The food was very plentiful, and very tasty, and dinner at a competitive price, as were the drinks - and I definitely appreciated a cold beer in the evening. Kumara was a great help in recommending a driver for us to go to Pidurangala and Polonnaruwa, again at a good price. And the location is a very short walk from the Dambulla Cave Temple, which we were able to do the afternoon we arrived. Would definitely stay again.

Great location, within walking distance of the Dambulla Cave Temple. We stayed in a charming wooden cottage surrounded by nature, which the kids absolutely loved. The accommodation had all the essentials, including a fridge, fan, and kettle. The owner was extremely helpful and arranged a tuk-tuk driver for us to explore the surrounding area. In addition to the places we wanted to visit, he also showed us some nice things, like a chameleon and Mimosa pudica (the plant that moves when touched). The breakfast was varied and very tasty, and the dinner prepared by the owner was delicious. Great value for money — we highly recommend this place.

We only wish we could have stayed longer than one night!

The host was a bit hard to track down and was reluctant to provide the promised breakfast for our early morning excursion. On the second morning, we waited half an hour past the arranged breakfast time which disrupted our travel plans.

Sono stato qui due notti ed è stata un'esperienza fantastica. Il posto è ben tenuto, le camere pulite, la cucina è ottima e Kumara è veramente gentilissimo e disponibilissimo in tutto. È una piccola oasi. La fermata dei bus è vicina ma comunque Kumara al check out mi ha portato gratuitamente

Недостаточно освещения в номере (мы жили в бунгало). Не могу сказать, что это большой недостаток, но иногда света не хватало. Отсутствие изолированного душа от унитаза.

this was my favourite place that i have stayed in my month in sri lanka. the rooms are so comfortable and i loved the wood features in the rooms. the tea and coffee makong facilities were an added bonus for the price. the outside areas are lush and green and it was a pleasure to sit outside on an evening. the staff and host were easy to talk to about all things. the place has a peaceful and creative energy, i hope to come back again. the food was also some of the best i have tasted in sri lanka.

Perfect location and excellent and helpful owner and stuff ! We took the natural room, incl. a fan and a fridge. Very tasty food, definetely try local breakfast and lunch/dinner buffet! The owner can help you with your plans and driver - highly recommended ! He drove us 3 days, stopped where se wanted .. ♥️ But very authentic exeprience for lovely price !!

The bathroom looked little bit like from a prison :) But that's the natural style. Very simple, with some inhabitants (a frog, ants .. ) but hot water and toilet provided, so no problem ! :) Mosquito net a bit over used with some holes.

The beds in the tree house are firm. We had a great sleep with the sounds of nature. The food was good, quantity over quality, but overall good and tasty. The family who runs the place is lovely. The location is perfect: close to the temples but not on the main road.

The arrival doesn’t look like the pictures anymore, because they are building a new area so there is a construction site which ruins the atmosphere of greenery that was sold on booking.com The tree house is very dark with only two small windows. The dark wood makes it very dark. The windows don’t have glass on it, so it gets a bit cold at night. We requested blankets, but they couldn’t provide them, so make sure you have a jumper. The sink has little water for only a few hours. The shower was hot but with very little water.

De prijs voor de kamer is laag, maar in de badkamer was veel schimmel aanwezig. In de slaapkamer zagen wij ook schimmelplekken op de muur. Dit was niet prettig en leek ons geen gezonde slaapplek. Dit hadden wij niet verwacht op basis van het hoge cijfer. Omdat de mensen zo vriendelijk zijn, is het lastig om negatieve feedback te geven, maar wij hadden dit graag van tevoren willen weten.

Oltre alla location la chicca del posto è il ristorante gestito sempre da loro: buonissimo! Se passate da Dambulla dovreste assolutamente fermarvi qui.

The guest house is very close to the Dambulla cave temple, you can reach it with a 10 minutes walk. It’s a very quiet location immersed in nature. The highlight of our stay was the kindness of the staff and the meals: dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious! So far the best rice and curry we had in Sri Lanka.

The room is quite basic and the bathroom could use some improvement. Despite being close to the Dambulla cave temple, it’s quite far from Sigirya. In fact, the tuk tuk drive costs around 9 dollars from the property to the Lion Rock.

Ubicación excelente, puedes ir caminando hasta el cave rock temple. El jardín que rodea la casa hace el sitio muy tranquilo y acogedor . La comida abundante y riquísima, típica del país. El dueño fue muy amable y nos facilito la organización de las diferentes visitas

Diese Unterkunft ist ein MUSS, wenn man in der Gegend ist. Sehr modernes, sauberes und schönes Hotel. Es gibt sogar ein Wasserkocher und Tee im Zimmer. Die Bettlaken riechen sehr frisch und die Betten sind sehr gemütlich. Wir hatten sowohl eine Klimaanlage als auch einen Ventilator im Raum. Der Gastgeber erfüllt dir jeden Wunsch ist sehr herzlich. Wir haben sehr spontan gebucht und kamen erst spät an und trotzdem haben wir unglaublich leckeres Abendessen bekommen. Auch das Frühstück ist ein Traum. Verpasst es nicht dort eine tolle Zeit zu haben!

Piccola struttura gestita molto bene a due passi (letteralmente) dagli splendidi templi di Dambulla, una perla da non mancare in un viaggio in Sri Lanka. Base ideale anche per la visita a Sigiriya e Polonnaruwa. Praticamente tutta la struttura è in legno. Abbiamo soggiornato in un'ampia camera su un albero (!), con grandi letti dotati di zanzariere. Camera molto comoda e pulita, con bagno essenziale, con pavimento senza piastrelle ma comunque confortevole. Nonostante sia vicino alla strada e dotato di ampio parcheggio, dà la piacevole sensazione di trovarsi nella foresta, in un angolo molto tranquillo. Colazione tra le migliori fatte in Sri Lanka, con ottimi prodotti locali e non, e un servizio impeccabile (hanno preparato cibi senza spezie e pepe per le bambine prima ancora che li chiedessimo). Buona anche la cena che abbiamo chiesto extra, a un prezzo irrisorio. Incredibilmente basso anche il prezzo della camera.

Sia chiaro che per noi andava bene, però la mattina si può essere svegliati relativamente presto dal canto dei tanti uccelli nei dintorni. C'è decisamente di peggio nella vita! Avviso: il bagno della nostra camera non corrispondeva a quello delle foto su booking ed era un po' più "spartano". In ogni caso, era pulito perfettamente e non mancava niente.

Guest house ou les propriétaires sont remarquables, chambre très propre avec fan, Clim et petite terrasse privative. Le petit déjeuner inclus est excellent et très varié. Nous avons dîner au restaurant de la guest house, la aussi très bonne cuisine, un rice curry pour toute la table. Beaucoup de saveurs. Je recommande fortement !

Wollte wieder mal etwas Zeit für mich alleine und habe das total gekriegt. Zudem wurde ich mit einem wirklich unglaublich leckerem Abendessen begrüsst am ersten Tag. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls so gut. Das Zimmer ist schön eingerichtet und die Lage des Hotels ist super. Der Cave Tempel ist 5 Gehminuten entfernt und das Zentrum 20min. Das Personal ist super hilfsbereit und geht auf spezialwünsche ein.

Golden Rainbow is a treasure. Do not be put off by the low price - they could charge more and it would still be good value. Its location is within easy walking distance of the Cave temple and museum of cave paintings. Kumar and his family are incredibly welcoming and can't do enough for you! The food is also a highlight. An absolute gem of a place located in its own quiet grounds and yet close to Dambulla.

Cuisine EXCEPTIONNELLE, si vous avez l’occasion de dîner foncez c’est le meilleur kottu qu’on ai mangé, (trop) copieux, et vraiment bon, pour 6 dollars le dîner. Attention, pas de savons ni sèche cheveux fourni alors que c’est indiqué sur booking . Propriétaires adorables, serviables, nous ont organisé notre sortie à sygiria, une sortie massage, pour des prix + que raisonnables. Vraiment une chouette adresse, pour un rapport qualité prix imbattable .

Siamo stati tre notti in questa deliziosa guest house, alloggiando nella casetta in legno, molto rustica ma pulitissima e spaziosa. C'era acqua calda per la doccia e una bella terrazzina dove a volte ci facevano visita le scimmie. La famiglia che gestisce la guest house è gentilissima, ci hanno aiutato a organizzare spostamenti e safari a prezzi molto convenienti. Colazione e cena buonissime con cibo tutto fatto in casa. Siamo stati benissimo. Grazie!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this homestay! The garden is huge and beautifully kept, the room was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly quiet — ideal for a good night’s rest. The family is very welcoming and caring, they helped us with great tips on local attractions and even with laundry. The highlight was definitely the food: the hostess prepared exceptional meals for both breakfast and dinner, full of fresh flavors and local specialties. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, hospitality, and a genuine Sri Lankan experience!
