Hillside View Bungalow Homestay

Just the best for this incredible price. Gem helped us with organising tours and a transfer to our next destination - truly caring and wonderful. An absolute recommendation!

We had a wonderful stay at this homestay in Phong Nha. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect, surrounded by beautiful nature and close to the main attractions. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with local recommendations and travel arrangements. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. The peaceful atmosphere, excellent service, and warm hospitality made our trip even more memorable. We highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Phong Nha and would love to stay here again in the future!

Super cadre reposant, super piscine.

Location

Shower not working very well , pool not clean , A/c not working very well , No Breakfast Included !

We had a wonderful getaway at Hillside View. It was a lovely and quiet place to retreat to after a day of exploring the beautiful Phong Nha region. The staff were incredible and made us feel so welcome. Their hospitality was top level and Ngoc and Tuan go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. They provided a very efficient and easy pick up from the train station, booked us on an awesome tour, organised a driver at the last minute so we could explore, and catered super well for gluten free needs. They also run a great restaurant in town, Lantern Restaurant, which serves delicious local food and the bonus is you can order some of their dishes at the home stay which is perfect after a big day of trekking to caves. The location is in a nice and quiet area and it is on the other side of the river to the main town but it’s an easy 5 min grab into town.

Ormana cok yakin olmasi tesisin dogalligini artirdi. Gem cok yardimsever ve guleryuzluydu. Odalar cok rahat ve temizdi.

Very clean and breakfast was always fast and good

Lekker geslapen.

Location and the family restaurant.

The bathroom should be separated with the toilet.

Personale molto accogliente, stanza pulita e piscina meravigliosa. Consigliatissimo

The accomodation was wonderful. We enjoyed staying here and would gladly choose it for our next stay. There is a pool in front of the accomodation that you can use and the area is very clean and taken care of. The best thing about this place is the staff, the lady was there for everything we needed. She was very kind to help us with all the information about the town and even reccommended us the most amazing trekking tour. The place has motorcycles available for rent and the food on the menu was tasty. Wish we could have stayed for few more nights.

Excellent service and attentive staff. Price was reasonable and location was a 5 minute motorbike ride to Phong Nha. Host booked cave tour and bus for us. Also on site motorbike rental

Lovely family that run it. Good food on the menu and daytrip recommendations. Assistance to book onward travel always appreciated.

Nothing to dislike

The property is beautiful and clean, and the family who own it are lovely and very helpful. Sorted our trips out for us and our overnight buses so we didn’t have to worry about a thing.

Not a dislike, but it’s not that central, and we couldn’t get a taxi after 9.30pm. The walk back is along the highway which was fine for us but might not be for others.

Location was beautiful and the staff where lovely with lots of trips and good information on offer, the room was clean and the beds where great.

We loved our stay at Hillside View Bungalow Homestay! The owners are a lovely family and were so kind and helpful during our stay. The bungalows are beautiful and clean and open onto a nice pool area. The free breakfast was a bonus and we enjoyed the banana pancakes. Excellent value for money!

It is a little far to walk into town but if you have bikes then this is no problem! You can also rent bikes at the property.

Tutto .

Niente, tutto perfetto .

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful stay with warm hospitality I had a truly lovely stay at this homestay. The place was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, making me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The room was well-equipped, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing after a long day. What really stood out was the warm hospitality of the host. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The host also shared great local tips for sightseeing and food, which made my trip even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a comfortable place with a welcoming atmosphere. ❤️

Not stay longer

Hosts were extremely helpful booking our tour and onward travel, we arrived very late due to a slow transfer and they made sure we were still able to have dinner, they also allowed us to shower after our tour before getting a transfer despite having already checked out of the rooms. Very lovely wish we'd had more time here

The best homesaty I have stayed so far in Vietnam! I had a wonderful stay at Hillside View Bungalow homestay. The room was clean, cozy, and exactly as show in the photos. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, perfect for a comfortable stay. The host Gem was extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything you needed. The location is easy to go any where in Phong Nha. The foods they servered here is the best in my trip so far too. I truly enjoyed my time here and would definitely stay again. Highly recomended!

Wonderful stayed Highly recommended! I had an amazing stay at this homestay and couldn’t be happier with my experience. The place was clean, comfortable, the pool was great and beautifully decorated, there are many lowers in front of my room, making me fell so relaxing and fell at home from the moment I arrived. The host Gem was extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist and give useful local tips. The location was perfect- quiet, safe, and convenient for exploring nearby attractions. I especially loved the cozy atmosphere and attention to detail. Everything was well- prepared, from the comfortable bed to the fully equipped amenities. It was the perfect place to relax after the long day exploring the caves. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommended this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, warm, and memorable stay.

Chambre spacieuse

The lady who runs the place is very friendly and helpful. She helped us booking a sleeper bus to hue which was one of the most comfortable trip we had in Vietnam so far. We've been able to rent scooter which made it really easy to explore the beauty of Phong nha. The FOOD was amazing. Best we had in Vietnam so we decided to have every dinner there. Highly recommend their vietnamese pankakes! The pool was nice to refresh too, could be a little bit cleaner but it's understable as it's low season ( we were the only ones here). The room was very pretty with beautiful painting from a local on the walls. Bed was so comfy.

Felt pressured by housekeeper to leave the room at only 10.30 am. We had only started to put our bags out in reception area that the lady was already in the room cleaning it, while my stuff were still in there and I needed the toilet.

Staff super helpful, nice spacious rooms, lovely surroundings.

I don’t know if we were doing something wrong but no/very little hot water

Beautiful property, great facilities. Such helpful staff.

Very nice bungalows and swimming pool Friendly owner and very helpful to arrange things for the stay (transportation to the airport, scooter, etc)

Beautiful, relaxing property and very friendly family!

Best place to stay in Phong Nha!

Best place to stay here. The bungalows are very cute and have nice decorations. Pool is big hugs and clean, foods was fantastic and good price. Host very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place for everyone.

My favour homesaty so far in Vietnam. The Bungalows are beautiful and model. The airconditional is working very well. Pool is clean and big, foods was amazing. The highlight are Tuan & Gem they were very friendly and help us with caves tour and bues. They also have great food at their restaurant in town called Lantern. I will be back im the future for sure.

Not stay longer.

The owners are very kind and welcoming! It was a pleasure to stay there!

We loved this Homestay. The hosts are fantastic and was a highlight of our trip. The food was delicious and nothing was a problem, they made our stay very enjoyable. Rooms were well set out clean and tidy. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip in Vietnam.

Would have like to have stayed longer

Everything! What a wonderful place to stay. Our host was incredible, so kind and helpful. Very comfortable beds and beautiful scenery!

Erg aardige host

Lovely host who was so kind and helpful. If this rating was for her, I'd give 11/10. Nice, comfy beds in a spacious room. Nice food at the homestay and at their restaurant in town. Good value for money.

Location - needed to get grabs to and from the town. Arrived late at night and there were no taxis. Had to get a private pick up at a high cost.

The owners were really lovely - helped us book the tour and organized the bus pick up.

Nothing, it was great

The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. Gem is amazing, so efficient, friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for this delightful host . The pool is large and lovely for a swim after a hot day . Breakfast is very good and lovely meals can be purchased at night . Gem organised tours and transport. Truly a wonderful experience staying at this home stay . Tuan is also very helpful and friendly.

Everything was lovely

Gem was absolutely amazing, so helpful and accommodating, the pool and dinner was great, we loved our stay here. Highly recommend

Quiet, comfortable and such friendly hosts.

Kind staff, beautiful location, 10/10 recommend!

Amazing place! Sweet staff and they also help to organize tours. Great food and nice place to relax after a long day of exploring the area

We had the warmest welcome from Gem and her husband . They organised our tours whilst we were there and our transfer from Hue . Gem cooked us lovely evening meals too especially mushroom and tofu cooked in a rich sauce in a clay pot ! The bed was super comfortable and we slept really well every night . A really enjoyable stay .

A lovely hotel, very friendly and sweet staff and owner. The room was very spacious and clean. We had a very nice stay

Perfect stay with lovely host family. Bungalows were clean and beautiful. Staff run a restaurant in town which your able to order to the home stay if you don’t want to travel into town. Which was very helpful when the both of us were not feeling well. Location was great and our the way with beautiful views all around

Unsure what chemicals used in pool but watch out if you have bleach in hair. Ruined parts of my hair

Very welcoming and helpful host! We stayed here after 2 days of hiking and caving and it was nice to be able to relax with everything we needed at the hotel. We were able to order food to our room which was great. The host also helped us book a bus to our next destination and transfer from the hotel to the bus which was really helpful!

Limited hot water for showers.

The kindness and hospitality of the owner. The bed was comfortable, it was quiet and not far from the busy town.

Nothing

Beds were comfy, breakfast was good. Garden was very pretty and relaxing. Gem was amazing! Super good hostess very attentive and welcoming even before we arrive she helped us a lot!! We love you gem ♥️♥️

Maybe the location wasn’t the best but it’s Gem helped us getting to town

Nice pool area, good choice for breakfast, owners very accommodating. Good value for money.

Our room was very damp, the floor in the room was very wet too. We haven’t had this before but it may have just been a one off! Apart from this, everything was fine!

The owner of the place is extremely helpful. Probably the most helpful person we met in Vietnam. She booked our bus for the onward travel, even though we couldn’t find anything since all was booked out due to lunar new year. She also cooks and the food was amazing, I’d highly recommend having dinner at the place. After our day trip and after checking out, she gave us fresh towels and let us shower in her personal home before our onward travel.

The place is a bit further from the main town.

We arrived at 6am and our host was so accommodating, fetching us tea and allowing us to wait in lobby until our room was ready this was around 8:30am and much earlier than our check in. Gem the host truly lives up to her name. She booked our bus tickets from Hanoi to Phong Nha and from Phong Nha to Hoi An. A wonderful home stay and highly recommended. We were looked after very well.

Nothing

Fantastic location, the best hostess ever, she helped us with travel to her homestay and also on the next leg of our journey. The food was very good and the room clean and we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this place and we are hoping to return in the future.

Nothing it was all lovely
