Hanoi Family Homestay

It was a false advertisement. I arrived and they said i have to change hotels - it was late in the evening and I had to go to a completely different hotel with all the heavy bags. In this other hotel no one spoke English. I messaged perfume some questions and she didn't respond. Room was also different then the one I booked. Overall I didn't have a good experience there.

The room was comfortable. Location was good.

Behaviour of the owner, staff. The place smelled of furry pets. Perfume the owner was mostly unavailable in the evenings. And no one else in the vicinity had any authority to do anything. Even a cup of coffee could only be available with breakfast.

Todo genial. La familia que se encarga del alojamiento era fantástica y súper agradable. Te ayudan en todo lo que necesitas. La habitación muy espaciosa y limpia. La ubicación es ideal para estar cerca del centro pero sin tener mucha molestia de ruido. Muy recomendable.

In un'ottima posizione, a due passi da Train Street. Parfume e la sua famiglia sono stati super accoglienti. La struttura era pulita.

Hostal pequeño que te recibe con un gato en la puerta, un perro en el sofá y un niño durmiendo en la recepción. Dejamos las maletas en medio porque no está la habitación preparada. La habitación. Sábanas llenas de pelos, semen (o algún extraño líquido), baño espectacularmente horrible (te duchas entre el lavabo y el water siendo el baño completo el plato de ducha, se inunda). Lo de menos es que le secador no funcione o no tenga ventana la habitación. Decidimos irnos, pedimos la devolución, completamente razonable, y solamente devolvieron la mitad. No lo recomiendo para nada. Hay mejores opciones por el mismo precio.

I had a wonderful stay at Hanoi Family Homestay. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Even when I came back late at night, I was greeted with a warm smile every time. They made me feel at home throughout my stay. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

La camera che avevo prenotato sul sito era una suite familiare da 40 m , mi hanno dato una camera standard con 1letto extra ed un simil divano letto molto scomodo,come secondo letto ,ovviamente non ci si muoveva in quella stanza che a dir tanto sarà stata 20 m , la camera piena di formiche minuscole che ci hanno invaso le valigie,pulizie in stanza nulla per 3 giorni .

We had a terrible experience with this hostel. Although our reservation was confirmed through Booking.com and via WhatsApp, the hostel failed to register it in their own calendar, so the room we had paid for was no longer available when we arrived. We paid for a four-person room and were shoved into a triple, forcing three people to share one bed. At 6 a.m., a stranger walked into our room, and the owner refused to acknowledge it was anyone from the hostel. From 7:00 to 9:30 a.m., we were woken up by unbearably loud construction next door, something we were never warned about. The next morning, they “solved” it by moving us—not to another room, but to another hotel—with a laughable €10 discount. Twice they messed up our luggage, sending it to the wrong room and failing to move all our bags, so we had to chase them down ourselves. The staff were rude throughout our stay, and despite asking several times, we were never allowed to speak to the manager. To top it all off, we only found out at checkout that card payments come with an 8% surcharge, something that had never been disclosed beforehand.

Perfume and her family were outstanding from providing dinner after a late arrival, through to a family style dinner. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and we felt like part of the family. The location was excellent, very close to train street. The price was great. Highly recommended

立地が良かった。旧市街ならどこへでも行きやすい。grabがとても便利でした。オーナーもフレンドリーに対応してくれました。朝ごはんはパンやフォー、フルーツ、ドリンクなど選択肢がありました。朝から宿でゆっくり過ごせるのは嬉しい。

夜中まで通りのバイクの音がうるさかった。宿の前が一方通行で、郊外へ行く大きなバスのピックアップは5分ほど歩いて通りまで出る必要があった。 お湯があまり出なかった。ぬるま湯のようだった。

we had the most amazing stay! the accommodation was clean and spacious. the family that own the home stay were extremely helpful and lovely people. the breakfast was great and the location was so central. For the price, this place is 10/10

I had an incredible stay at this lovely family-run homestay. If you are looking for a genuine and authentic Hanoi experience, this is the place to be. The property is impeccably clean, and the family managing it is absolutely wonderful. They are incredibly welcoming, helpful, and—importantly—speak excellent English, which made communication seamless throughout my stay. The breakfast was a highlight—truly delicious! It is served in such a cute dining area and includes fresh, seasonal fruits alongside a great selection of dishes you can order fresh each morning. The location is perfect and highly convenient. You are within easy walking distance to a wide variety of restaurants, the famous Train Street, and many other major attractions. It made exploring the city so effortless. Furthermore, the family goes above and beyond to assist with any logistics. They helped me arrange a motorcycle rental, booked my onward travel, and provided great recommendations for local tours. I highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hanoi. It truly felt like a home away from home. I would definitely stay here again!

The staff truly went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed. They were incredibly helpful, whether it was arranging laundry services, organizing scooter rentals, booking our boat trip, or helping us with any other requests throughout our stay. The location is also perfect, being just a few minutes' walk from the railway street, making it very convenient for exploring the area. Overall, it was a great stay, and we highly recommend it."

Breakfast is good. The pho is delicious. I like the fruits...mango, watermelon and passion fruit. There is banana too.o

The AC is not cold. But the good thing the owner provided 2 electric fans.

The stay was made by the lovely host Perfume and her family, they really went above and beyond every day and even kindly hosted us for dinner one evening! Breakfast was great with options as prefer this to an open buffet, location was the best you could ask for being minutes walk from Train Street and properly felt very secured with somebody at the front desk as all times / keypad systems for the entrances and rooms.

The only one small negative would be that the bed wasn’t the comfiest but that’s all :)

The location is really great and the staff is helpful. The place is decent and the room was correct. The breakfast is nice and very quickly served.

it didn’t look like the pictures. We saw other rooms with the door opened and they looked a lot different, and a lot better. Our room (5th floor) was clearly in need of refreshment, the wallpaper was coming off the walls, the painting wasn’t finished. The bathroom looked nothing like the pictures either.

Wo soll ich anfangen. Die Unterkunft war eine absolute Katastrophe. Das Zimmer war dreckig, alt und völlig heruntergekommen. Die angebliche „Terrassensuite“ entpuppte sich als eine Art Hinterzimmer, das nur durch eine enge kleine Gasse erreichbar war – mit der Beschreibung auf Booking hatte das nichts zu tun. In der ersten Nacht wurden wir zunächst in ein anderes Zimmer untergebracht, das sogar noch schlimmer war. In unserem eigentlichen Zimmer funktionierte angeblich nicht einmal der Strom. Die Zustände insgesamt waren unfassbar schlecht. Im Eingangsbereich schlief ein Kind auf einem alten Sofa, was die ganze Situation zusätzlich verstörend machte. Die Gastgeberin reagierte auf unsere Beschwerden aggressiv und unangenehm. Aufgrund der unzumutbaren Bedingungen sind wir nach nur einer Nacht wieder abgereist. Die Unterkunft entsprach in keiner Weise der Beschreibung oder den Fotos auf Booking. Leider hat Booking bisher auch nicht auf meine Anfragen reagiert.

Location great. Owner helpful and so sweet, even providing us with a bag of fruit and water for our onward bus journey. However hotel not really clean, bathroom yucky, bit sketchy in the hall ways and up the stairs, do not refer to photos, as it doesn’t look like photos. ok because it was cheap, but had people enter our room when we were there, thinking we weren’t home. Bit wacky.

Everything here is great, spacious and comfortable. I really enjoyed the breakfast,it was delicious and varied. The staff and owner are very friendly and always ready to help me whenever I need it. Plus, the location is very convenient, right near the train street.
