Eanymore Farm Cottage

The house is very beautifully renovated from an old family property. It is spacious and the view is spectacular! A colony of bats was staying in the chimney - they fly out 20-30 minutes after sunset, return before dawn and sleep during the day. Zero nuisance (you don't even notice that they're there if you don't want to) but downright spectacular if you wish to see it! To us this gave the ultimate thrill to our stay.

Nothing - maybe the fact that I'm the end it is an agricultural area and farmers are working so it's not always as quiet and peaceful as it could be. But we weren't bothered by it.

It was charming with plenty of space.

There was a bat that was likely there before we got there but we didn’t notice because the first 2 nights we had bedroom door closed. We never opened the windows so we didn’t let it in. We didn’t sleep for our last 2 nights due to the bat. We were only reimbursed for one night. There were a lot of houseflies in the house. When we told the caretaker she said it happens. It could have been cleaner, dust, cobwebs and spiders in corners and under the furniture. Only two towels were provided for showers. I was very disappointed in our stay there and feel we should have been reimbursed for our full stay as we had to find another hotel due to the bat.

Quietness Quick heating

Me and my husband came for a Christmas break with our son! And what a fabulous time we had the cottage really was great and the host was fab and friendly!! Will 100% be back in the summer!

I didn’t have one fault everything’s provided!

The fire was great.

The hob was a bit slow to heat up and the Wi-Fi was erratic, though that was not particular to the house.

Cosy, excellent kitchen and fireplace and good heating system, Friendly host.

It was such a beautiful cottage that was very peaceful. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating. Really nice to go off the grid for a few days but still very close to Donegal town. It was a really lovely stay and I would definitely recommend!!

The phone service was quite bad and we couldn’t get Netflix on the tv because of the poor connection. The cottage wasn’t very well heated and I can imagine it would get quite cold in winter time.

It was a quiet location. Perfect for relaxing &switching off. Cosy little cottage.

Having to supply your own fuel for the fire, limited fuel is supplied & heat is restricted to twice a day so during winter this can leave the cottage very cold.

Beautiful cottage in an idyllic countryside setting, perfect to relax and recharge the batteries. The cottage is equipped with everything you need to cater for a family. Two very nicely decorated bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. A nice sized kitchen with a comfortable sitting room/T.V area. Lovely garden area for kids to play in if the weather is good. We found it to be a good base to explore the surrounding area, Donegal town around a ten minute drive away. The host was very nice and attentive, we would return again and have recommended to family and friends.

Nothing that we did not like.

Tranquil location, homely and spacious. Everything thought of and provided even down to toys for the kids. Great value for money and we had a fabulous time!

Authentic farm cottage with lovely country views from garden. Very peaceful location. Immaculate bedding and comfy beds.

Had to negotiate spiral staircase to reach toilet from upstairs bedrooms during night which not ideal for older people.
