House was spotless owners friendly and helpful

As regards location the road into the town wasn't safe to walk

Een fantastisch mooi huisje waar aan alles is gedacht. Het uitzicht vanuit de eetkamer is prachtig. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren. In de dorpspub een avond traditionele Ierse muzikanten zien spelen die spontaan bij elkaar aanhaakten. Superleuk. (En veel leuker dan de ‘beroemde’ pub waar Enya haar roots heeft - dat vonden wij echt vergane glorie).

Het dorpje (waar verder niet veel te doen is) ligt dichtbij, maar om er te komen moet je langs een weg lopen zonder voetpad. Mensen rijden daar vrij hard. Wel is er een mooie baai, en een pub met traditionele Ierse muziek (dat laatste is geen minpunt 😉)

The house was comfortable, well equipped and the perfect location for our trip. Martina our host was lovely and ensured we had everything we needed. I would have no problem in recommending River Cottage.

Stayed for two nights in this absolutely beautiful cottage. It was my sisters first time in Donegal and our stay was superb from the moment we arrived until we left. Martina has equipped the cottage with everything you could think of and we felt right at home from the minute we went through the door. Don’t hesitate to book you won’t regret it! Ps we were lucky to see four deer at dusk through the dining room window with Errigal in the background..picture perfect

We loved everything about our stay here! The property is located just off the main road and though it may appear modest, we were incredibly impressed with the space inside. The house was clean and cosy and we immediately felt at home. The kitchen was well equipped, as was the bathroom, and we thoroughly enjoyed waking up to the surrounding views. The host, Martina, also reached out ahead of time to ensure we got there without issue and she had also included plenty of recommendations for activities, shops, pubs etc. at the property. Overall, this was a great place to stay and explore the area and we would definitely book again.

Property is of a very high standard - had everything I needed for a weeks stay and more The views are pretty amazing - just peace and quiet - I didn’t see another person the whole week - Martina was on hand if I needed anything and checked in with me but was not intrusive - she had stove lit for my arrival as well as few goodies Had three deer join me outside while I was eating my breakfast Property close to errigal / glenveagh and beaches

Bright, modern, comfortable and well equipped in a gorgeous peaceful setting. We loved staying here; the pick of our accommodation so far on our drive up the wild Atlantic way.

We loved how cosy, warm and clean the property was. It’s a beautifully designed, modern 2 bed with beautiful views of mount errigal. I would not hesitate to book again.

Everything was excellent!

The view was fantastic! The property was very clean, and the hosts went out of their way to make everything perfect.

My family had a great weekend at River Cottage. It's a great location to explore Donegal. My children enjoyed the swing outside and loved their large bedroom upstairs. There is a great view of Mount Errigal to enjoy from the dining room. I would recommend staying here and we will keep in mind for any future family trips to Donegal.

Inviting warm comfortable, all mod cons and special personal touches, lovely big stove with fuel for the evening, comfortable beds. Host very kind and helpful. All over wonderful stay and will definitely be returning 😊

The house was modern, clean and had every appliance that you would need. Everything was high quality. We went for a family trip to mark a milestone birthday 🎂 🥳 , Martina went above and beyond for us. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely welcome pack on arrival with fresh scones, butter & jam. The River Cottage was located in a cluster of country house beside a river, with an amazing view of Mount Errigal. The cottage interior was beautiful decorated, and so comfortable, and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and being able to unwind in the countryside.

We really enjoyed our stay at the River Cottage. The house is beautiful & very comfortable. The facilities in the house are excellent. Simple things like having some milk, tea & coffee available to us on arrival were great. Martina & Sean were wonderful hosts & we hope to return to River Cottage again soon.

The house was beautiful and the host Martina was very friendly, helpful and accommodating answering messages quickly and she was very flexible about check-in times. The wine, cake and chocolates were very welcoming gifts. The facilities were excellent both indoors and outdoors. We would highly recommend this lovely home. Thank you.

Everything. The house was just perfect for us. Tastefully decorated. Practical. Stunning views. Close to beautiful beaches. The host really went above and beyond thinking of everything a guest might need. Especially little ones. Our son really loved our stay. Also, the photos don't do it justice!

We had a lovely stay at Martina’s cottage. The cottage was very presentable throughout and had everything we needed for a short stay. Lots of nice touches including fresh bread, treats and cupcakes from the bakery which we really appreciated! The cottage was exceptionally clean and a lovely space outside with a barbecue to enjoy the great weather we had. The location is rural but convenient and an excellent base if wanting to explore Gweedore and Mount Errigal/local beaches.

Property was immaculate inside and out. It was idyllic perfect outside view was beautiful the back garden was beautiful bbq area fire pit cosy lighting seating area gorgeous high quality standard. Inside the property everything was again to a very modern high standard. Absolutely outstanding stunning. Very welcoming wee touches scones cakes fruit ect extras that made long journey welcoming with wee cuppa whilst we settled in planning our days ahead. We will definitely visit this property again next time we are planning a longer stay it’s very central to various locations we visited. I would absolutely recommend you will not be disappointed we didn’t want to leave it was so perfect. Everywhere we visited locals were very welcoming. Thank-you our stay was just perfect.
