We stayed on a Saturday evening - the location is above a busy night life area so was noisy with late night drinkers.

I booked two apartments for a family trip, one of which specifically said it had a separate bedroom and living space as I was travelling with a small baby. This isn't the case and the living/bedroom is all one. I contacted the host who said that the description may not accurately describe the properly. Room was old and could do with freshining up. Kitchen in suite had no ventilation. Velux window over bed in 'penthouse' had no blind.

Simple things. There was no curtain in the bathroom. The place was not as clean as it should have been. (A tooth flosser left under the bed, cobwebs in the kitchen)

The cot is not fit for purpose, not clean. Netting discoloured greatly- should be disposed of. Can’t imagine it’s hygienic. Thankfully we had a travel cot with us for our 2 year old. Have photos but dont want to post them. No curtain in the bathroom- no frosted glass/blind. A very basic necessity. Very little privacy. Yes it’s a rooftop location but windows are visible from other properties while in the shower. Unfortunately these are the two reasons we scored down for the property. Takes a while for the radiators to heat up the property which isn’t ideal in winter months but once they kick in it’s warm.

Had to put on heating when got there so initially the apartment was cold. Could do with a full length mirror and a few bulbs need replacing.

Reviewed Jan 2, 2025Great location in the centre of Dungarvan. Apartment was very clean that includes the bathroom and linen on the bed and to our surprise warm. Very spacious room with everything you’d need for a longer stay.
A little noisy due to it being located on a busy street with people leaving the pubs late at night but it was something to expect. The mattress wasn’t that comfortable in our opinion.

The owners sent a really useful email before we arrived with recommendations for the area and responded quickly to a query during our stay
Worth noting for families the apartment is in a busy square and during our weekend stay (Friday night) there was loud music from the pubs and people gathering outside which we hadn't considered before booking. The floors were also very loud - could hear the room above us walking around (loud enough to wake us overnight). The room was very warm overnight, even during not particularly warm weather (18deg) Also just to note for young kids the apartment has very heavy doors that slam closed
