Friendly and communicative owner

1. There's no bell or sign at the door. You have to call (have local sim) to have someone come to the door to let you in. Same when you leave 2. The facility was underwhelming to be honest. The space (I stayed in a studio) is sufficient and well furnished etc but really needs maintenance. The walls have leakage and you can see it on the paint; it smells moldy in the sleeping area. The bathroom is also moldy and old. Not pleasant at all. 3. Breakfast is utterly disappointing. A single slice of bread, butter and jam, some corn flakes, a tiny sugary yogurt. Forget the amount but it's not nutritious at all. You'd be lucky to get 6gm of protein out of everything they offer.

It’s not what was advertised. No water throughout our stay. Had to use a bucket to even bath. And didn’t have enough water to flush toilets even.

Breakfast was fine My problem was the room didn’t have a tv and didn’t have a microwave It’s a total different thing than was I was shown when choosing a room on the booking.com app

Having a microwave to warm my food and a tv to watch I think also it’s better to mention on app that some things are not available then one can chose room knowing

Water was off, but it was an area thing. We could not wash the first night. But the owner kept cans of water in the apartment for us to use

The pictures didn't match the room we booked; no access to that lovely garden, just a small room in former staff quarters (with mouldy walls). It's not that I mind that, but the pictures are rather misleading. Had I known what our room looked like, I wouldn't have gone through the trouble of going all the way to Melville from OR Tambo, as nice restaurants etc were not within walking distance. In fact, we were warned not to walk to the left, nor too far to the right (by the owner). Hence it was quite a disappointing last evening of an otherwise fabulous time in SA.

Location was nice, House was spacious. It was safe and garden was an absolute bonus. We could call Patrick anytime and he helped us with a lot of things, even recommending a nice mall around. Beds were very comfy.

Cleanliness of the house was not up to standard. Kitchen was not equipped for a self catering. We had to request kettle and microwave which I see as standard things in a kitchen

the property feels very much like a home away from home. it is very spacious. comfortable. it has everything you could possibly need. plus its really well located and very serene.

the only complaint really is the wifi could be stronger. but other then that there is not really anything to complain about as the property is really well maintained and any other issues would just be splitting hairs.

We konden vroeg inchecken na onze nachtvlucht, top. En 100 meterverder een geweldige plek voor ontbijt en diner!

Bij aankomst zagen we geen bordje of bel, dus wisten eerst niet of we goed zaten.

Everything was perfect and clean and I had a great time.

Unfortunately Melville had water outages and this accommodation suffered as a result.

It was quiet and comfortable

2 separate water taps for hot and cold, which is an old practice you can't mix it. There is no shower in the washroom only a bath tab is there for the bath.

The bed was great, and the kitchen had all the utensils you needed. The bathroom didn't have a shower, but it was actually quite relaxing to wash in the bath.

I think I still would have preferred a shower.

The area was perfect. Close to the main road and entertaining areas but still far enough to provide peace and quiet. The healthy breakfast served was a wonderful surprise. The place had secured parking available on site. The electric blankets and heater made the cold nights very comfortable. The host was very friendly.

It would have been nice if there was a television, even a small one for entertainment when indoors. The electric gate on the side we parked wasn't working. We had to manually open and close the gate which posed a security risk especially when leaving or entering the property at night.

No primeiro dia, a água não esquentava de jeito nenhum, mas depois foi resolvido.

The experience was suboptimal, the plugs were all over the place . Side lamps were not working. The kitchen had pans but no stove.

The property was peaceful and relaxing with beautiful greenery surrounding it. The room was charming, comfortable, and felt like a home away from home

The water interruptions were a challenge but the staff always ensured there was water available in the room. Overall, it didn’t take away from my comfortable stay and I will happily book again

Not having microwave, some of us book the place for academic purposes. There is no time for pots so please if you can get microwave for all the rooms

The hood had a hanging cable, the house needs to be clean especially the kitchen, no running water ( need to get an alternative plan, jojo) and fix the gate. I wish the host communicated their challenges upon booking rather than when we got there.ĥ

I have stayed here many times - it has been perfect for our needs since before COVID. I love the modesty of the place, the staff are great, the convenience to the kopje, shops, two universities etc fantastic. It's quiet, very comfy beds, and the common area out front is lovely (birds, company to chat with and such).

I did notice a fairly strong mold smell in the secondary room. The chairs are not particularly comfortable.

eu gostei de tudo, o lugar é lindo, jardim lindo, super confortável, deu para cozinhar super bem, os anfitriões são dedicados, disponíveis, é um bairro bom de Joanesbuirgo. O café da manhã especial de upgrade foi sensacional. Eu voltaria muitas vezes.

talvez tenha que fazer uma dedetização para formiguinhas pequenas, e o vaso sanitário tem um vazamento

The rooms have a built-in kitchen for each unit with a kitchen sink, counter, stove and utensils which is great for cooking and cleaning up the dishes Good WiFi connection Their breakfast is also quite delicious

Their gate doesn't have working sensors and closes too quickly and it hit our car There are a lot of cockroaches 😕

c'est à quelques minutes du centre en taxi, le quartier est calme, on trouve des magasins, restaurants et une jolie rue pas très loin. l'accueil à été bon.

On à pas compris, on à trouvé une bouilloire mais pas de café, juste du thé, crème et sucre, la dernière journée on nous à apporté le petit déjeuné, mais pas pour les 2 premières nuits, on à pas trouvé le grille pain et la plaque chauffante comme écrit dans le descriptif, mais ce ne sont que des détails nous somment globalement satisfaits de l'hébergement.

I didn't struggle with anything. I called 15 minutes before I arrived and was met at the gate. A smooth check and check out. Shout out to Pierre for having my breakfast on time. I was here for a graduation and I got to use their beautiful garden space to take pictures. I'm most definitely coming back here is I find must back in Joburg.

When we arrived, we called the number listed on the property a dozen times and there was no answer, we hooted at the gate for sometime getting no response. Also there is no microwave, so we ate cold food 😢.

The place was not clean there's cockroaches in the kitchen and outside is not maintained chairs at the swimming pool were dirty and the TV is not working even though it's listed available what you see here it's not what you get .iam very disappointed at that place really.when we got to the place we thought we are not in the correct place because what you see on the pictures Is not what you get there.
