Hanaka Riverside Ubud

De prijs was vrij laag voor Europese standaarden. We waren wat bang voor de waakhonden die in de steeg verbleven. Hiervoor mocht je de werknemers een appje sturen, waar tijdig op gereageerd werd en zij kwamen je halen om je door de steeg te leiden. De locatie was prachtig met uitzicht op de rivier en de jungle met op korte afstand een supermarkt en het centrum van Ubud (voor mensen die goed te been zijn) op wandelafstand.

Als je bang bent voor honden zou ik hier niet naartoe gaan. Doordat de douche en wc zo dicht bij elkaar waren, was het na elke douchebeurt een enorm waterballet op de badkamer. Daarnaast was de deur ook beschimmeld doordat er zoveel water tegenaan is gekomen door de douche. Dit was voor ons niet zo'n groot probleem.

Établissement très propre, situé au bout d'une impasse. Nous avons apprécié le calme et la propreté. Le personnel toujours aux petits soins. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

Кімнати чисті, доглянуті, кожного дня якісне прибирання. Дуже зручне розташування, близько до магазинів та до центру, але при цьому місце тихе, далеко від дороги. Поблизу немає будівництва та півнів. Персонал тут чудовий та дружній! Дуже люблю це місце! Рекомендую!

-Friendly staff (like in most places in Indonesia). -Good, efficient contact via WhatsApp. -Located away from the crowded center—you can take a 20-minute walk or grab a Grab/Gojek. -Well-maintained pool with sunbeds and nice greenery around it.

The place looks much better in photos than it actually is. I was overall quite disappointed. Fortunately, Ubud is interesting enough that you can only came back to sleep, and after two nights, I felt relieved to leave this room. -Smell: The biggest issue was a bad smell of dampness, almost like the room was rotting. After leaving the room closed all day, the smell was horrible. I had to air it out for a long time to make it tolerable, which unfortunately let in mosquitoes and huge cockroaches. -Bathroom: The bathroom really needs renovation. The toilet and sink are in bad condition. - Linens: The towels and bed sheets are past their prime and not very fresh, but clean -Fridge: The fridge makes very loud noises, so I had to unplug it at night. - Lack of privacy: The basic room is located on the floor with utility/service rooms. Even though I wasn't there much, the staff was constantly around cleaning the terrace or doing other chores. Your only choice is to close the curtains and sit in the dark, or have no privacy. - Noise: Sound travels easily from the pool. If you are hoping to relax and there is a family with children staying, your chances are low. The room does not block noise at all. - Access road: The side street leading to the hotel is narrow and dark (a flashlight is a must at night). There are two dogs there—they aren't dangerous, but they sometimes follow you, which can make you feel uncomfortable if you're afraid of dogs. The hotel definitely needs some renovation and more attention to detail. I wouldn't rate it as a 3-star property right now; it feels more like a budget guesthouse with a nice pool

Nie było możliwości dojazdu samochodem, bo do noclegu prowadziła ciemna wąska uliczka. Pokój miał bardzo małą łazienkę.

Je recommande vraiment ce logement. La chambre et les extérieurs sont propre, l’emplacement est idéal. Le personnel est de très bon conseil et d’une grande gentillesse.

Super séjour ! La chambre est spacieuse et propre (nettoyée tous les jours), l’hôtel est bien situé et accessible facilement (malgré la petite ruelle qui y donne accès). Le petit déjeuner est copieux.

L’eau de la piscine était un peu froide, cela ne nous a pourtant pas empêché de nous y baigner.

Etwas zu kleines Badezimmer, aber es ist absolut in Ordnung.

Die Unterkunft liegt angenehm ruhig außerhalb des direkten Stadtkerns von Ubud, ist mit dem Scooter aber trotzdem schnell erreichbar. Genau das hat uns sehr gut gefallen, weil es dadurch nicht so überlaufen war und man mehr Ruhe hatte. Das Personal war während unseres Aufenthalts sehr nett, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, gemütlich und das Bett wirklich bequem. Auch die Außenanlage hat einen sehr schönen Eindruck gemacht. Der Pool sah sauber und gepflegt aus, auch wenn wir ihn bei unserem kurzen Aufenthalt nicht genutzt haben. Zusätzlich fanden wir es praktisch, dass es in der Nähe gute Coworking Spaces, Laundry Services und Fitnessstudios gibt. Für uns als Remote Worker war das definitiv ein Pluspunkt. Außerdem gab es einen sehr süßen Hund auf dem Gelände, der uns sofort positiv aufgefallen ist.

Nicht ganz ideal war der Weg von der Straße bis zur Unterkunft. Es sind ungefähr 50 Meter, größtenteils über einen Schotterweg, und am Ende wird es etwas schmaler. Mit dem Scooter war es zwar trotzdem machbar, aber nicht ganz so komfortabel. Etwas unangenehmer war, dass sich auf diesem Weg fast täglich ein schwarzer Hund aufgehalten hat. Wir sind eigentlich sehr große Tierfreunde, deshalb möchten wir das fair einordnen, aber der Hund wirkte eher ängstlich und man musste entsprechend vorsichtig sein. Die Unterkunft selbst kann dafür nichts, da es nicht ihr privater Weg ist, aber für uns war es dennoch ein kleiner Minuspunkt. Das Internet war für Bali-Verhältnisse in Ordnung und für normales Arbeiten relativ gut nutzbar, für stabile Zoom-Calls aus unserer Sicht aber eher weniger geeignet.

Wir hatten wunderbare Tage in der Unterkunft. Wir empfehlen das Zimmer ganz oben mit Blick auf den Jungle. Der Pool ist schön, die Lage ruhig (bis auf Baulärm, der aber nicht vermeidbar ist) und Flussrauschen. Es gibt eine Klimmzugstange, was wir persönlich richtig toll fanden. Die Lage ist 20 Gehminuten vom Ubud Center entfernt, in der Nähe gibt es aber einige Warungs und auch Restaurants wo man super essen kann. Man kann von hier aus super zu den Tegalang Reisterassen und Holy Water Temple. Auch ein kleines Gym und Supermärkte gibt es in der Nähe. Roller über die Unterkunft mietbar. Der Airport-Transfer hat super geklappt. Das würden wir auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Insgesamt vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war es für uns eine der besten Unterkünfte.

Für Menschen über 1,95m dürfte es wirklich sehr schwierig werden auf Toilette zu sitzen. Das Bad ist echt klein. Das Wlan war ganz oben bei unserem Zimmer nicht so stark. Wenn man sich in den Küchenbereich gesetzt hat, war es wieder super. Die Tür zum Zimmer war einen Spalt offen, tierische Besucher können nicht ganz ausgeschlossen werden.

Couldn’t recommend this place more. The hotel is tucked away down a quiet alley, away from the noise of the main road, but once you step inside the grounds it feels like a hidden gem. The views of the surrounding greenery and trees make the whole place feel a bit magical. The staff were incredibly friendly and really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after throughout our stay. Gordon the French bulldog was also a great little companion to have around. The pool was well maintained and a perfect place to relax. We only wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return one day. You won’t regret staying here.

The only constructive criticism is that the bathroom could do with some modifications as there was a little standing water from the sink pipe.

Porte, ou je ne sais quel autre objet claque fort au milieu de la nuit. Un panneau pour indiquer le chemin à prendre pour rejoindre l’hôtel ne serait pas de refus car un peu difficile à trouver

We werden heel vriendelijk ontvangen, konden makkelijk een scooter(scoopy) huren voor 100K, mooi zwembad, lekker ontbijt, we hadden geen warm water in onze eerste kamer maar meteen nadat we aangaven dat er geen warm water was werden we verplaatst naar nog een mooiere kamer, goede massage gehad voor een hele redelijke prijs, alles is schoon en mooi.

Als ik dan iets zou moeten bedenken dan zou het wel de weg naar het hotel zijn, het is een smal weggetje vanaf de hoofdweg waar je alleen kan lopen of met de scooter. Maar het is maar een heel klein stukje lopen.

L'hôtel est propre, les chambres sont joliment décorées. C'est calme.

La salle est vraiment toute petite et pas du tout confortable. On se douche dans les toilettes. Résultat si l'on va au toilette après la douche le sol est tout mouillé. Si l'on s'assoit sur les toilettes on a le lavabo sur le nez et pour le papier toilette il faut être contorsionnistes car il est derrière vous. Enfin l'arrivé à l'hôtel est dangereuse à cause des chiens errants. 2 fois on s'est fait attaqué, c'est très pénible et pas du tout agréable. Même si n'est pas la faute de l'hôtel, je préfère prévenir les prochains clients. Et l'hôtel devrait essayer de trouver une solution avec ses voisins.

Das Bett war bequem und die Klimaanlage war leise und hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Die Handtücher hatten einen guten Geruch. Der Pool war herrlich. Verkehr war hörbar, aber für Bali verhältnismäßig leise.

Das Bad war sehr klein und ohne Fenster. Man musste das Gebläse permanent laufen lassen, ansonsten war ein muffiger Geruch drin. Die Aufteilung ist zudem eine Fehlkonstruktion. Die Dusche vorne rechts direkt an der Tür und dahinter das WC... Beim Duschen hat man das ganze Bad geflutet und das WC nass gespritzt. Wollte jemand danach aufs WC war der Boden natürlich komplett nass und man hat unfreiwillig nasse Füße bekommen. Dafür kann die Unterkunft nichts, aber ich will es erwähnen... Der Weg zur Unterkunft ist nicht der Beste. Das ist auf Bali aber oftmals so und geht nur mit Roller oder zu Fuß.

The staff are so lovely and accommodating and always here to answer any questions I have. They clean the rooms every day and ask before they enter which I am very grateful for. Everything is spotless clean and I feel very comfortable here :)

The bathroom is very small and has a mouldy smell due to not having a window that can be opened. And the fan is only on when the lights are on. But because they clean every day I felt ok with it.

Room was comfortable and very quiet in the evenings - we were so well rested here! The staff were very hospitable and friendly. Pool was perfect. It was well worth the 7-nights we stayed and we’ll be back again!

Incredible!! Brilliant location to get to all sites in Ubud. The staff are the friendliest, happiest people. We stayed for 4 nights and they treated us like family. They clean the room every day and it was spotless. The breakfast was lovely and the pool and views from the rooms are spectacular. We didn’t want to leave!

Tout d’abord, merci au personnel très accueillant et à l’écoute. L’établissement est calme, la piscine est super et la chambre spacieuse. Possibilité de louer un scooter à la journée (environ 8€/jour), très pratique.

- like some other reviews have mentioned at ight the way to the hotel is pitch black and there are street dogs barking at you. This can be quite scary especially if you are alone. However the hotel offers to pick you up on the main street to help with the dogs so it’s all good :)

Secluded oasis 2km walk/taxi/motorbike from town. Lovely to return to and enjoy the beautiful pool after busy (but delightful) Ubud. Comfortable beds, powerful hot shower, strong AC. And finally wonderful team looking after us who couldn’t do enough to help and make us welcome, feel at home - thank you 🙏

Der er en god gåtur ind til centrum, og ellers skal mam bruge Grab, hvilket er nemt man skal være klar på lidt kø. Der kunne godt være lidt flere liggestole ved poolen.

Thank you for providing an overall excellent service! All the staff was super friendly, helpful and welcoming. Whatever you need, they are happy to help and right at hand! The communication was super easy via WhatsApp and the facilities are beautifully maintained and in a peaceful and relaxing setting.

The walk back to hotel at the narrow side street is safe, but can be a little intimidating for a solo female at night. better come home with a scooter taxi, they will bring you right to the gate.

The place is amazing, it's like a piece of heaven. I don't regret putting my money in it. If you are looking for comfort, I advise you. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great outdoor space, a clean pool with a nice view. The bedroom had a refrigerator and A/C.

The cleanliness was not great. Bedsheets and towels were changed on a daily basis, but almost always contained stains. The bathroom was small and inconvenient, as the shower made the entire floor wet (which stayed wet for hours) and thus also caused mold.

Everything was great in this homestay, staff was very nice and helpful, took time to chat about our visits everyday and give us recommandations. The view was beautiful, and you could hear the water and birds from the river from the balcony. The swiming pool very clean, and a pleasure to dive into after a long day. Gordon was the cutest dog. AC week-end well, hot water as well Location was great, about a 30 min walk, 10min drive from Ubud center, but far from the busy streets.

Stray dogs on the road before the entrance were a bit scary but never a problem, they were not agressive nor coming to close to us. Balcony is private but there is no limit with the rest of the hotel floor which is surprising but not disturbing the quietness of the room

I had a perfect stay at Hanaka Riverside in Ubud! The place is peaceful and beautiful, with a wide pool where you can actually swim — not just get refreshed in the hot day 😂. And everything is spotless clean. The traditional breakfast was delicious in the morning. A special thank you to Gusde, who was always helpful, kind, and made the stay even better. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxing time in Ubud!

What a dream! I absolutely loved my stay at Hanaka Riverside Ubud. The canopy of jungle on the other side of the river was stunning, and the perfect, relaxing backdrop from room or pool. I upgraded to Room 2, on the upper level, as it had it's own private balcony (with desk, coffee table and chairs), ideal for a spot of morning yoga, and received lots of natural light from the additional windows! The communal kitchen (with free drinking water!) and dining area offers a unique and special touch, giving guests additional spaces from which to enjoy the view and magical ambience. The pool and gazebo were also gorgeous and inviting!

As other reviewers have mentioned, larger people, or people with mobility issues might struggle with the smaller bathroom, however I would emphasise that it was clean and well equipped, with lovely hot water. The trade off for the serenity, is a 5-10min scooter to down town Ubud, but Grabs/Gojeks are very cheap and convenient for trips in and out, so don't consider this a significant 'con' - but worth keeping on your radar :)

A little sanctuary quiet. The staff were very helpful walking us past the street dogs and came out to meet us on our return home to walk us past the dogs.

We loved the atmosphere of the property, in the heart of the jungle💕 also the pool area and the garden was really nice and the staff was always really kind to us! It totally meets our expectations.

Only the location was a bit strange, it was hard to find for the first time and had to walk in the dark at night in small streets to reach it.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming made our stay really nice, helped us with our luggage too. Room was perfect and very clean the maid does a great job. It's on a quiet street so very peaceful, pool was beautiful too. Bike rental was great too no issues. Would definitely stay again when we are back in ubud!

Some reviews do mention stray dogs in a nearby property, the dogs are fine to walk past they just bark but if you are unsure/uncomfortable the staff will help you enter/exit, so no real issue at all!

My stay here was lovely! The staff were so friendly and helpful. They cleaned my room every day and were really kind. I would 100% recommend. The location is really handy, because you can get into central Ubud easily or the other direction to the rice fields. I came here as a solo traveller and felt very safe.

Great for me. About a mile to central Ubud. Away from noise. Set back away from road. All pluses for me, but maybe not for some. Staircase stairs are higher than most. Could be challenging for older or impaired people

The staff were incredible, extremely responsible and helpful with everything we needed. Even when the dogs outside made us nervous the staff came out to help us. Thank you Dewa for all your help! They had scooters available to rent at the property and do the proper checks I.e you driving license and make sure you take photos of the wcooter before you head off with it. The facilities were perfect for us, swimming pool was amazing and the view great too. Room was cleaned everyday.

The property was a little difficult to find as it’s off of the main road down an alley, but once you know where it is there isn’t a problem. The staff came out to great us and help with the bags.

Hanaka Riverside Ubud is fabulous! The host Dewa responds very quickly and is very accommodating to any requests. The rooms are beautiful, just as the picture shows. It is extremely clean & modern with Balinese decor. And I could not have asked for a better location. The entire staff here is so kind and welcoming & happy to help. The area is safe and secure. It is such a wonderful place, I decided to extend my stay here. I highly recommend.

Lovely staff (thanks Dewa and the others!), very helpful, great services The place is as per the pictures, clean, well maintained and calm. I disagree with some previous comments mentioning it's difficult to find. The location on Google map is correct and crystal clear. Just trust it. Some comments are referring to "aggressive" stray dogs on the street to reach the place. These are not related to Hanaka and, anyway, they are just making noise when you pass buy but are not aggressive. Nothing to worry about, just keep walking. There is an Indomaret almost next door as well as another small shop if you need quick supply

Lovely place with a lush jungle overviewing a beautiful pool. Nice rooms, comfy bed, lovely staff and amazing value.

There are better locations, it’s ok but not great. And the massive downside is that there is a small stretch of road to walk between the road and the property and it is filled with the most aggressive dogs. Almost got attacked by 3 of them one morning, and it was the closest thing to a heart attack (these are not small dogs). The property is aware of the issue and they can accompany you outside as they are familiar with the dogs. They really need to address this.

Location is good, I really liked that you can get by foot or short bike ride to the center with no traffic by a good road. Lots of cafes and shops nearby and good londry nearby. And pepito. overall quite area with occasional construction sound and music but far away and ever for light sleeper like me it was ok. Very beautiful view of the area. Stuff helped me to bring the suitcase from the road and back when I checked out. Long pool.

Its basically no wifi situation. You can stream a movie but no browsing or calls or work. I needed to go out to work. Room is small. But the worst part that cleaning going to the room without asking you about it. Feels like violating of my privacy. And the also arrange my belongings as they think they should be sorted!!! They closed my cosmetic begs, rearrange towels, rearrange my devices upside down. Closed my suitcase. Terrible feeling. Gladly did not destroy anything this time but stuff need better training.

Had a wonderful stay at Hanaka Riverside Ubud. The staff were incredibly friendly, always up for a chat, and super helpful. When we arrived, we were amazed by the stunning location and the breathtaking view, it was even more beautiful than in the photos. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with excellent housekeeping. And all of this for a great price! I would absolutely stay here again.

Brand new hotel. Very nice clean rooms with view of ravine. Very quiet and close to a few good restaurants and mini marts. Good size pool.

Very beautiful swimming pool and rooms are So comfortable and clean. Staff is really kind and they clean the room every day. The kitchen is also fine.

They always unpacked things for us that we needed to leave packed. Or they put our things in different closets and then it was harder to find everything. But that's really just a small thing, that's why I give it a 9 rating.
