Only that the door of the shared bathroom didnt close properly and they need need to fix that. Very uncomfortable to have people opening the door when using the bathroom or viceversa.

Reviewed Mar 23, 2026Siempre nos quedamos aquí cuando hay bodas en Tepoz. Las personas son muy amables y atentas. Excelente opción de alojamiento ya que también queda a distancia caminando del Tepozteco y la calle principal donde uno puede desayunar y ver cosas.
Diría que hacen falta espejos de cuerpo completo en los cuartos para cuando uno se cambia, ya que sólo están en los baños. pero no es queja sólo es para considerar. Todo está muy bien.

The location was perfect- tucked down a lovely quiet street just a few minutes walk to the bustling part of town and the trail to the pyramid.

La habitación estaba Cerca del baño público y escaleras. Lo que divide la habitación de los lugares compartidos es un ventanal topo vitral que no aísla la luz ni el sonido. Así que todos los huéspedes que subían y bajaban al baño los escuchamos y la luz del baño nos daba en la cara. Ha sido la peor noche que he pasado.

Faltó un poco de limpieza en el baño, estaba con pelos, un poco sucio, pero nada tan terrible, sólo es un detalle a mejorar. Habían telas de araña entre las paredes y el techo, aparte de eso, todo bien. GRACIAS.

I had a lovely time here and would def recommend this to anyone, especially women traveling solo. I felt very safe here and it was in a great location. The bathroom was shared but it was never an issue. There’s a bathroom on both the first and second floor.

Todo está bien, pero si quieres vista, debes pedir en el segundonpiso y compartir el baño. Si prefieres baño privado, la pieza de abajo (que es para 3 o 4 personas) sólo tiene tragaluces.

Reviewed Nov 1, 2025La gentillesse et la serviabilité de l'hôte, cadre très reposant (même si on y a été à un moment de fête donc il y avait pas mal de bruit). Un coin thé/café, avec quelques pâtisseries, offert, ce qui a été très appréciable. Jardin très agréable pour se poser. Lit confortable.
Chambre petite, salle de bain commune (attente parfois longues). Fenêtre donne directement sur la maison d'à côté, donc difficile d'avoir un peu d'intimité. Emplacement assez loin du centre, mais près du chemin de randonnée pour la pyramide de Tepozteco.

Io e le mie amiche abbiamo alloggiato (senza sapere) in un periodo di festa locale e sono stati davvero gentili nel coinvolgerci nelle loro feste. Sono persone molto ragionevoli e disposte a trovare soluzioni perché tutti stiano bene. É situata praticamente nel centro paese. É un posto sicuro.

Reviewed Oct 12, 2025Great little guesthouse off a little bit off the beaten path. Clean and comfortable. The host, Justina is so kind and helpful. Let us pick our own room. Always had water and stuff for coffee/tea out. Just a short walk into the main center of Tepoztlan and the Mercado. Amazing view of the mountains from our room!
The floor in the bathroom gets wet easily when people shower, and the bathroom door doesn’t close easily so it’s a little loud. If the house is full you could have to 8 people sharing 2 bathrooms. Overall it’s really a great place.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2025Das Casa Los Sauces ist wunderschön gelegen mit direktem Blick auf die Berge aus einigen Zimmern und vom Balkon. Das Ehepaar, dass das kleine Hotel betreibt, ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es gibt frisches Trinkwasser, Tee und Kaffee und zwei Bäder auf zwei Etagen für fünf oder sechs Zimmer. Außerdem gibt es einen schönen Garten und man ist ein paar Blocks entfernt vom direkten Trubel der Stadt, aber trotzdem in 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß an den wichtigsten Orten. Auch der Wanderweg zur Pyramide „El Tepozteco“ ist super nah.
Die Küche auf den Bildern ist privat - freundlicherweise hat das Ehepaar geholfen mein Essen aufzuwärmen, aber selbst kochen kann man nicht. Außerdem wurde ich die erste Nacht leider von einer Mücke wachgehalten - es ist wichtig die Fenster vor allem gegen Abend und nachts geschlossen zu halten. Außerdem gibt es einen Ventilator den man zum Schutz nutzen kann oder falls es zu warm wird.

Reviewed Feb 11, 2025The best thing was the people in charge of the house, they help us every time, very friendly people and talk with us all the time. Also on phone were easy to reach and help us with everything.
Since its only two street away from the bar area, it was really loud at night but Tepoztlan it's now to be crowded and pack on weekends, so party was something that we already expected.

I stayed in the early week so the place was really quiet (this of course could change at the weekends when there are more guests). The kitchen area was really handy to make coffee/hot drinks, and the shared lounges were great, though I never actually used them. A real selling point is the nice peaceful garden and balcony areas that are available to use. The family who run the place were all lovely, I enjoyed some fun conversations despite my low level Spanish.
It’s a pity there are no mosquito screens on the windows - there are lots of mosquitoes in tepoztlan (and dengue fever is present). I was unable to open the window at night for some fresh air as I didn’t want to let in any mosquitos. Other than that, very happy with my stay.

Reviewed Jan 26, 2024We enjoyed very much our stay at the Casa Sauces, the house is very nice with lots of light, there are pleasant common spaces and a small garden to relax. The hosts were very nice and helpful. The location was good, though further from the center, it was close to the main path to the Tepozteco pyramid. We recommend this place and we be happy to cpme back.
Just small details to make it pwefect, like a missing bin in the room.
