C'è stato un discreto supporto da parte del delegato della proprietà.
Qualche criticità nella gestione di un imprevisto, risolto nella triangolazione tra proprietà e Booking.
A typical traditional house, it has a lovely terrace with an amazing view on the mountains, the kitchen is well equipped and the bed is very comfortable. It's very close to one of the most known sightseeing of Chefchaouen (Ras el Ma) and not far from the main square (outa hmam). We would love the host and his assistant Adib for letting us check out a bit late.
Pretty little house on 4 floors. Cleanish throughout,, comfy bed but low ceiling in bedroom, little terrace with good views and useful kitchen. There is a washing machine too. Great living room and wifi. Bathroom facilities not great but all in all a really worthwhile stay and excellent value. Would recommend to a younger ( shorter!) clientele.
Everything was really really good. It was a beautiful apartment with a great rooftop and a really good view on the mountains. The communication was great and the host was super friendly and gave us a lot of recommendations and tips to visit. It is in a quiet and calm area, and a very close walkable distance from the old medina where there are lots of restaurants and places to visit. The kitchen is well-equipped and has everything that you need. There is also an air-conditioning in the room.
I wanted to almost give it a 10 out of 10, but I gave it a 9 out of 10. The only reason for that is that there are big stairs in the appartement and if you have back problems this can be a small issue.
This property was in a ideal location - easy access to the river, the medina, the walk to the Spanish mosque. It had all the elements I needed. What I will say is that it is on 4 levels. Kitchen and terrace on the top, bedroom below that, living room below that and the shower by the front door on the bottom level. The stairs are narrow and steep. I was absolutely fine with them but if you have mobility issues this may not be the place foryou.
Bathroom just so so tiny
We had 3 great days at Coco Chawen Beautiful village, amazing encounters and of course wonderful host ! ADIB was helpful from the very beginning as a truck was blocking the street leading to the village He came personally by foot in the middle of the heat 😮💨! We loved having the 4 levels of this little house all to ourselves, it was always so cool, luminous and peaceful. The steps are well secured with handrails. We apprehended the proximity of the mosque but gladly discovered that the last loud prayer was around 10pm and the first one late morning 😊 Arriving by car with Waze was easy.
Good place to stay during a visit in Chefchaouen. very convenient. there is a parking area very close to the house and a few grocery stores. near Medina and good restaurants. the house has a nice living room, kitchen and good view from balcony. the manager helped us with parking and check in. it's very impressive.
The house is located in the lower part at the very end of the Old Medina. The view from the balcony is breathtaking, especially at sunset when the roofs of the neighbouring houses appear in a somewhat golden light. You can reach everything by foot in just a few minutes (Medina, ATM, restaurants, groceries etc.). The rooms were perfectly clean and the bed is very comfortable. The WiFi is sufficiently strong for streaming, browsing, sending email etc. The place is equipped with all the amenities you need for even an extended stay (fridge + refrigerator, stove, oven, cuttlery, washing machine etc.). The communication with the host was great. The contact, Adib, is very friendly and helpful with explaining everything you need to know, especially with finding the parking spot (the parking is 20 dirham per night, safe and guarded). If you arrive with your own car, make sure to contact Adib about one hour the latest before you arrive at Chefchauouen. Let him help you find the parking! Do NOT use Google Maps! It will "guide" you through tiny paths in the middle of the Medina that do not fit even small a car! Overall, if you like to see what living in one of the old houses feels like (as opposed to being in a regular hotel), this is the place to stay!
I have no complaints whatsoever. This is just to make sure other travelers don't miss this: As I said above, do NOT use Google Maps when arriving by car! Let the host guide you to the parking! Also, be aware that there is Mosque right next to the house. I liked the singing but those of you who have a light sleep, wake up easily or have trouble falling asleep again may be happy to know beforehand. On the other hand, there's no escaping the Mouazzins anyway, so don't worry about it ;)
the house was large and well stocked with modern amenities. the furniture was comfortable and the house is decorated with great moroccan handicrafts. the kitchen is super-stocked and eating with the view on the top floor veranda is fantastic. the caretaker was super responsive when maintenance needed done and the host was very easy to communicate with.
having only one room on each floor means there are a lot of stairs (especially if you are forgetful like me and have to go back and forth multiple times) but every floor is so well appointed that it doesn't seem like a big deal. besides, it is great practice for going up and down the streets of Chefchaouen.
