Grace Motel

I travel quite a lot and stay in different accommodations, and I rarely leave reviews. But this time, I felt I should share my experience and give credit where it’s due. The building is old, but it is definitely not run-down. The rooms and common areas are clean and well maintained—honestly, they are spotless considering the age of the building. The neighborhood is also surprisingly quiet despite being located along a main highway. The location is very convenient, with Sindaebang Station Exit 2 just a short walk away, and plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and other shops nearby. Most importantly, the owner/ staff are genuinely welcoming and friendly. They always greet you with a smile whenever they see you and make an effort to have a little conversation, which gives the place a more personal touch. They also seem very willing to accommodate guests’ requests whenever they can. I even overheard them trying to help another guest with a request, which left a good impression on me. They are also quick to respond to messages online, which is always reassuring when you're staying somewhere unfamiliar. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience here. It may be an older building, but the cleanliness, location, and especially the warmth of the people running it make it a place I would happily recommend. Definitely worth the price!

THE OWNERS ARE ABSOLUTE SWEETHEARTS!! I love them, I love the place, and the location! Has a lot of open restos even if it's late, close to the bus station, and a bit close to the subway station, there is a Daiso nearby, lots of convenience stores! The place is a bit old, but it's worth it! You have everything you need! I would definitely rebook!

The staff was incredibly kind. The facilities were clean. It's very close to a subway station. There's a Luxury Bus stop next to the subway (a special bus service that takes you to and from the Incheon airport). It has an amazing Korean BBQ place nearby, a mini market, and different coffee shops. Very affordable. Spacious room.

This one is subjective, but the bed and pillows were a bit too hard for me. Other people might like it tho!

The staff was very nice and the room was very decent for the rate. We really enjoyed the location - only 5 minutes from the metro, but this part of the city is very interesting and very local. It takes around 40 min to the center of Seoul with the metro ( $2) or Uber ( $8). Good restaurants around.

Rooms need a little bit of an upgrade - especially the bathroom. And I wished there were normal-sized windows.

The room was tidy, clean and comfortable. The people always polite and welcoming. The motel is situated near Sindaebang subway station and near a lot of facilities but I could rest properly because it wasn't noisy. I felt very safe there as a solo female traveler.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like.

I’m not a picky person but the pillows were a bit uncomfortable — if you don’t want a sore neck maybe bring an alternative pillow!

The position was ok, 5 mins walk from the metro station, the road as well has a lot of cafès and restaurants, shops. The room itself was avarage for a Korean room, bathroom was fine with a lot of products.

The bed was harder than a stone. I had 2 nights booked but I needed to go elswhere the second night, it was such a pain. I could sleep only because we got drunk the night before, sober it was impossible to lay on it.... The room overall is ok but if you can't sleep, what is the point?

Absolutely cosy. The hosts are very kind and helpful. The room is warm and comfortable. There was even a PC in our room! Definitely recommend.(5 minutes walk from the subway).

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Grace Seoul, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! The family running the hotel—a lovely couple and their son—truly made my experience unforgettable. They live on the ground floor and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. One standout moment was when they graciously helped me carry my luggage to the third floor, as there is no lift. Their kindness and attentiveness made a world of difference. Each morning, they surprised me with small treats like jelly bears, which added a lovely touch to my stay. The lady of the house has such a jolly personality, making everyone feel welcome and at home. This hotel is perfect for families and solo travelers alike, as the warmth and kindness of the hosts create a genuine sense of belonging. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll feel cared for and valued, Hotel Grace Seoul is the spot for you! Highly recommended!

Though we liked everything but if you can’t Walt upstairs then you should first speak to the property about availability of room at the ground floor

It's dirty I don't recommend to stay her. There are other better options

Access from the nearest station is very good ( 5 to 10 min). The host is really really kind. When I got lost, the host helped me on chat. Although I did not have the plag adopter for Korean, he lent it to me.

The bathroom is not so clean but ok.

Good location for us. We like suburban stays. Less than 10 minutes to train station that takes you into Seoul City. Takes half an hour or so on 1 or 2 trains, depending on where you go. The trains run very frequently, and there is a great cheap bakery at the nearest station for breakfast. The room was clean and spacious. It was also dark with soundproof windows to sleep well. The owners were delightful and kept us topped up with free bottles of water. There's also a great Korean BBQ right next door, 18,000won all you can eat with an amazing selection! Highly recommend. There are lots of other restaurants too. Would definitely stay again.

The motel is pretty cozy and can fully block out light from the outside if needed. It has charm and is kept clean.

The room was advertised as non smoking whilst there was an ash tray in the room. The bathroom and hallway sometimes smelled of smoking.

The location is nice, close enough to line 2 subway station (around 7-8 min walking)

The building itself is a bit old and the furniture feels old, but everything was clean and functional.

They accommodated my early check-in at 3pm....

I have to be objective here. This place is run down and it reeks of smoke. It's not worth the price and should not even be operating as a guest house. Everything is old and decrepit and I don't think this is a good place for a woman to stay alone. The area is okay but after 9pm there was a fight in the road and police sirens all over the show. I wouldn't recommend it. Certainly not for the price. Oh and check-in starts at 5pm. Not good.

The hotel location is good, near to metro, the room is clean and staff is very kind.

Little bit old, no big towels

An ideal location, within proximity to a metro station, grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants.

Owner and his family are looking after guests and sms replied same time I was late but they were waiting for me late night

I was warmly welcomed, the young gentleman at reception helped me with my case up the stairs as it was heavy, I was treated kindly and the lady helped me on the morning of my check out with my case too. It was clean and comfortable!

My only recommendation would be different pillows. The pillows were too firm for me to sleep with, so I ended up sleeping without a pillow for the night.

I spent one night at the motel and was able to use the washing machine and dry my clothes outside. the staff was super nice and helpful. the room has all the necessities, including a hairdryer, bathrobes and a computer, as well as a large-screen TV

The motel does not have an elevator so it is difficult to carry luggage to the room. the room itself is decorated modestly, the bathroom looks average and the room has a tiny window which makes the room seem cramped.

Great room. Clean. There is no light in the morning, so you can sleep more if you want. Big bathroom with a bathtub. The young guy in the reception speaks English. Close to restaurants and bars and 24h market. Also, very close to the train station.

It was a bit hard to find due to the entrance being covered. However, I have attached screenshots of entrance and location. Also, it is south of the river, so it is close to gangam but is a bit far from Seoul Centre. However, Seoul metro is great, so it is not a big deal..
