The energy, the whole space and the peace you feel around it are really worth it. It is definitely those kind of places that you love and you remember in your travel. Reviewed Feb 14, 2025The view from up there is simply incredible. The fact that there are three different "balconies" was probably one of my favorite things about Quirky B. The layout and open design really allows for brilliant airflow and light, which is something that is really fantastic for reading, relaxing and even just lying down with the mountain breeze flowing through the space. Its brilliantly quiet and peaceful and all the indoor and outdoor plants made me feel so much at home and grounded. Fantastic kitchen to cook in, with the table perfectly positioned to actually sit in and dine. Its the first time I"ve felt like making a dinner date with myself in such a long time. I had everything I needed and so much more

Our host, Grete, was absolutely wonderful—she ensured we settled in comfortably and had everything we needed throughout our stay. The views from the kitchen and bedroom are amazing and the lounge is perfect for relaxing in the afternoons. As well, there is so much to do in the area around you like beach activities and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying at Quirky Bird. 10/10

Reviewed Dec 30, 2024Grete received us with so much kindness, it feels like home away from home. You immediately feel welcome in the house. We truly had a superb stay and would go back there without thinking twice. You get best of both worlds, mountain one side and the ocean on the other.

The cupboards need to be aired somehow as there was a damp mouldy smell on the extra bedding etc.
