Mettahouse Cape Town

Das Mettahouse CT ist wirklich außergewöhnlich! Die Einrichtung ist sehr individuell und das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Man hat eine wahnsinnige Aussicht, sogar vom Hot tub und Sauna! Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können das Haus von Richard nur weiterempfehlen.

Буквально все. Очень красивый и большой дом. Мы отдыхали в августе, в доме есть камин, газовый обогреватель , теплые простыни- ни дети, ни взрослые не мерзли. В доме есть все необходимое, нет стиральной машинки, но есть помощница по дому, которая можем постирать и погладить вещи. Уборка каждый день. На территории есть барбекю, сауна с потрясающим видом и горячий чан, где можно греться зимними африканскими вечерами.Езе есть бассейн, но это уже оценим, когда вернемся летом.Месторасположение удобное, 15 минут до пингвинов , 30 минут до Мыса Доброй Надежды.3 полноценных спальни, большая кухня-гостиная! Спасибо огромное, Ричард, нам у вас очень понравилось! Это пространство, в котором царит уют и гостеприимство. Обязательно вернемся.

Beautifully situated house with spectacular views, equipped with everything you could possibly need. After long days of sightseeing, we really enjoyed relaxing in the sauna and hot tub in the evenings. The house is an ideal base for exploring the Cape Peninsula and the Winelands. Everything was spotless and made us feel completely at home. Richard is a very helpful and attentive host. Thank you once again for a wonderful stay!

Location, the property and it's amenities with excellent host and staff.

Location was excellent, host friendly and communication excellent. The house was immaculate and full of character. Lots of space and well equipped. We enjoyed playing chess and poker with one of the best views. Kitchen and Braai were excellent. The wood burning stove was lovely to enjoy cozy evenings as we were there in May. Such character and interesting features. The beds were very comfortable. Good Kwik spar 2 mins drive and east access to cape town, cape point, table mountain, kirschtenbosch, stellenbosch, Haut Bay, Nooderhoek, Kalkbay and also the Atlantis dunes north of cape town for some very fun quad biking. Easy to drive on the M4, M3 and Nooderhork expressway.

Beautiful place! Richard and Marcy are so helpful, everything was just perfect and we enjoyed our stay enormously. Dixie´s for lunch or dinner is a gem. The place is a little bit off the track from Cape Town but if you rent a car it is really easy. Also there are Ubers and taxis at a very affordable cost. In general, people in South Africa are really nice and friendly!

NOTHING

Everything was perfect, the house is very beautiful and you feel right at home the moment you enter the door. Views are amazing and Richard was very friendly. The location is very good if you plan on exploring the peninsula or hang around the beach towns around.

It's a pity that the sauna can only be used in the morning/early afternoon when the cleaning staff is on site. Would have loved to have the possibility to enjoy it in the evenings when getting back from hikes.

It's hard to know where to start everything was phenomenal. Richard was knowledgeable and a delight to meet. Great location. I don't think we will ever stay in such a beautiful home. The smell of the place...hand cream, bathroom sprays, room fragrances...local shops all close by, close to Boulders beach and Kalk bay which we loved. Spent ages just staring outside what a view. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Het huis is prachtig gelegen op een berg met een super mooi uitzicht. De tuin is verdeeld in terrassen met een aantrekkelijk zwembad, sauna en hottub. Het huis is sfeervol en met liefde ingericht. Van het bedlinnen tot de handdoeken, alles is van zeer hoge kwaliteit. Verder is er alles dat je nodig hebt. De host Richard kan je voor alles vragen en geeft goede tips. In de nabije omgeving zijn er goede restaurants veel leuke dingen te doen.

Onze verwachtingen zijn meer dan overtroffen.

We loved every single second of the house, the host and everything Metta had to offer. We will 1000000% be returning and couldnt imagine staying anywhere else

Such a stunning house, everything was perfect, I can't fault it. The wood fired hot tub was especially awesome.

Sehr schön und Detailreich ausgestattet. Groß sauber einfach zum wohlfühlen. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und bemüht das alles in Ordnung ist. Zu jeder Zeit. Einfach super.

Don’t believe pictures as reality is even much better. One of the best stays ever. There is really no words to describe the style and total comfort. The only way to try is to feel it. What a beautiful villa with absolutely everything you could want and more - pristine rooms, woodfired hot tub, Swedish sauna, pool, BBQ and not to mention the views of both sunset and sunrise, all in the backdrop of the ocean. Plus we even saw the whales at the beach (from the villa decking). Richard was the most hospitable host and very generous with his time and location tips. Like us, you will be torn whether to stay and enjoy the villa or explore the surroundings (we'd suggest you book more days than you'd bank on being here!). Ooh and short hike to Elsie's peak is a worth it too.

Das Haus ist richtig toll gestaltet und hat viel Platz, es fehlt nichts :) wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!Richard hat uns super Tipps für die Umgebung geschickt. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben....

An exceptional getaway in the perfect location! We are already planning our next trip back!

The decor ... the supplies... its the small details. Cotton towels, the bed linen ... it felt like home! didn't feel like an artificial set up! it felt right at home.

Amazing host, house, setting, facilities - we were overwhelmed by Richards kindness and hosting abilities not least the property. we are a family of 4 - mum, dad, 3yr old and baby and Richard went out of his way to explain the facilities and also make this a home from home. Richard, this is a very special place and we would very much value keeping in touch :)

The Mettahouse is beyond amazing! The view is just incredible! But also the details and interior of the house are so unique and amazing! Richard gives you the warmest welcome and is the best host you can imagine! He gives you a lot of tips and recommendations and is the nicest person! He really wants you to feel at home! Mission accomplished!!! The bed is amazing! The pool is super nice with sunbeds, cushions, sun umbrella and everything you need! There is even a hot tub with an amazing view on the sea and the stars at night! Above all Mercy is there to clean the house everyday and she even watched our baby for a few hours! She is so sweet and kind! This was the best experience we already had! Will come back in the future for more mettahouse magic

Everything is just perfect!

The property is outstanding, every detail is very well thought out. Richard the host couldn’t be more helpful. The hot tub was a personal favourite, we loved it!

Nothing really, the pool was too cold for me but both my boys did swim. We also had very windy weather so I may have gone in if it had been super hot!

We had the most brilliant 3 day stay at Mettahouse. The property is spacious, very well equipped, with spectacular views and everything is finished to a very high standard. Beds were comfy, showers brilliant and it was all spotless. Bonus that there was even a huge walk in wardrobe. We loved the views and using the pool. Richard was an accommodating and available host and check in and check out was all very easy. A great start to our holiday and we really hope to be back! It was a perfect base for the Cape, botanics, penguins and had everything we needed. The street was quiet and safe.

We really liked our stay in this house. The house is very spacious, beautiful and comfortable. Richard is a very hospitable and friendly owner, he met us with a bottle of wine as a gift and helped with all questions. I recommend living in this house with a gorgeous look. It was unforgettable!

Great view over the ocean

What a special place in the most beautiful location. Mettahouse has certainly captivated our hearts and we can't wait to return. Thank you to Richard for being a wonderful host!

We traveled the world, but we never had a better stay. Everything was beyond the perfection: stating with the owner who cares so much about his guests and finishing with the villa itself. You will find so many interesting details while you gonna explore the villa! Absolutely everything was so lovely that we didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back! I definitely recommend this place to stay if you want to have a beautiful experience you never forget! Please do it if you come to Cape Town and you will fall in love as much as we did!

Our stay at this villa was amazing. The house looks exactly like in the photos, but the views are even more beautiful in real life. Drinking coffee in the morning while looking through the big windows was such a nice way to start the day. The villa was perfect for our group of five. It has three big bedrooms, and each has its own bathroom, which was very convenient. The house is decorated beautifully. There are many books, games, and interesting things to look at. The living room has a big TV where we enjoyed cozy evenings together. There is so much to do at the villa. We used the BBQ (braai), sat at the outside table, relaxed in the hot tub, and enjoyed the pool. Everything was great, and we felt very comfortable. Mercy made our stay even better. She kept the house very clean and was always friendly and positive. Richard, the host, was very kind and always ready to help. He gave us great advice about places to visit and the best restaurants nearby. The villa is not in Cape Town, but it is only a 40-50 minute drive. If you have a car, it is no problem at all. There are also many nice places to visit nearby, like Boulders Beach and the ostrich farm. If you need advice, Richard will be happy to help. We felt very safe and welcome during our stay. Thank you, Richard and Mercy, for making our holiday so wonderful. We hope to come back one day.

House looks exactly like the pictures and as described. Richard is an amazing host and very friendly. The house is stunning and has everything you would need. The hot tub and the pool is a major plus! Views are everything and location is perfect. Will definitely be back - couldn't recommend it anymore!!

Nothing to not like!!

Richard welcomed us in his beautiful Mettahouse and had first the courtesy to propose us to go and do some groceries as we came from Cape Town center by Uber and had no car. He personally helped me organizing a ritual for my partner’s birthday at the beach which is 3 min by car or 20 min walking and the views from his house are just stunning. You will rarely find a host like Richard. He’s an amazing human being, very humble, the decoration of his house is of good taste, each detail has a meaning. The house is spacious, many outside areas to rest, read by the pool, have a drink, smoke hookah like for one of us. All was just perfect. I can’t say more and please, take the chance to wake up early in the morning and enjoy the most beautiful sunrise you could imagine between the ocean and the mountains. What a beautiful life, this house will leave you a taste of piece of mind and we will comeback in a second for our next trip to Cape Town. We were coming from Palestine and Tunisia. Richard is just open to the world and his house as well. Thank you a thousand times again for your kindness, humanity and welcoming. All the best to you !

Only to be fair because also discuss it with Richard, it’s good to understand that if you want to be close to Cape Town center, it will take you 40 min by car or Uber. From the Mettahouse we could easily visit the Boulders beach and the Cape of good Hope. We also went to Clifton beach but we thought it was maybe not the best idea to do it from the Mettahouse. That’s the only point I would advise to travelers. Else? This house is just perfect. The garden is beautiful and Richard’s team to maintain the house is just adorable.

There is nothing you need for when staying here! Richard was an amazing host, and the house is decorated beautifully! We could host friend in the area for dinner with that beautiful dining room table!
