Property cancelled less than 48 hours before checking in with no explanation!

Все было прекрасно. Хозяин отличный, всегда был на связи. Номера чистые и просторные. Есть общая кухня на 4ом этаже. На территории гостевого дома есть возможность припарковать байк. Рядом, в пешей доступности хороший пляж. Все супер. Очень довольна размещением)

La familia es super amable. Nos ayudaron con muchas cosas entre ellas nos llevaron a una casa de cambio con su moto sin pedir nada a cambio. El lugar es excepcional, la habitación grande, instalaciones nuevas y en un lugar acogedor y cerca de las mejores playas de weligama

Good location, room size was great

It’s not a resort like they mentioned. It’s a homestay that looks nothing like shown in the photos. No lift no facilities no helper. Host is very rude towards guests since he easily manage to get bookings from foreigners who stay for weeks.

Worst experience ever. We had booked this property for 1 day during our holidays at Sri Lanka. Reached exactly on the checkin time. The host was not available at the location, his family stays in same building on ground floor. His wife gave us the keys in 15-20 minutes for a 3rd floor room saying her husband will come in 1 hr & help pick our luggage up. No lift for third floor. Waited tired for 45 minutes & went on to call her husband (main host). Just asked him what time he is reaching since we need help with our luggage to get fresh. He arrogantly replied to me saying “ You are Indian no? I know Indians are always problem. Wait for 1 hour more or go take your luggage & leave my place”. Totally unacceptable & rude behaviour. We had to immediately checkout & find another place to stay due to his inhospitable & racist behaviour towards me & Indians in general even when we dint complain or asked him for much at first. Don’t go here ever.

Очень хорошее расположение, в пешей доступности камерный пляж для купания " jungle beach", 5 минут на байке до пляжа для сёрфа, вдали от шума, с умиротворяющим видом с балкона. Очень отзывчивый, заботливый хозяин, ему отдельное спасибо за наш комфортный отдых!

Красивый номер категории делюкс Кулеры с водой на каждом этаже Наличие кухни и приятной террасы Вид из окна улучшенного номера и с террасы Хороший кондиционер Достаточно горячей воды в душе Огромное количество вариантов освещения в комнате Номер делюкс был прокурен, поэтому хозяин на следующий день разрешил переехать в улучшенный на последнем этаже

Постельное белье со старыми пятнами, нет одеял или нормальных пледов Мало посуды (не смогла получить большие чашки на время проживания) Нет шампуня, мыла и так далее Хотелось бы видеть чистые окна, так как в улучшенном номере - это единственный плюс Улучшенный номер гораздо беднее в интерьере и меньше размером Нет тв, картин (именно в нашем), голые белые стены, кровать, зеркало Я бы не рекомендовала его для выбора

Bit further out of town, but we knew this when booking and we had a Tuk Tuk so it was easy to get around

V resortu jsme měli v plánu být pouze 2 noci, ale byli jsme mile překvapeni, takže jsme si pobyt prodloužili na celkem 5 nocí a pobyt jsme si opravdu užili. Celý komplex jsme měli pouze pro sebe, což vytvořilo příjemnou a klidnou atmosféru. Velkým plusem byla skvělá komunikace s majitelem, který byl vždy ochotný, přátelský a ochotně nám vyšel vstříc, ať už šlo o drobnosti nebo o zapůjčení skútru přímo na místě, což bylo naprosto bezproblémové a pohodlné. Za půjčení skútru jsme dali 2000lkr/den. Pokoj byl prostorný, čistý, útulný a bohatě vybavený, k dispozici byla lednice, klimatizace i velký balkon, kde se dalo příjemně posedět. Také poloha resortu byla velmi praktická, protože skútr umožnil snadný dojezd kamkoli po okolí.

Jedinou menší nevýhodou byl občasný zápach z odtokových kanálů v koupelně, což je však na Srí Lance poměrně běžné a nijak nám to zásadně nepokazilo pobyt. Koupelna měla okno řešené dřevěnými šprušlemi, které nešlo zavřít, takže se občas stalo, že do pokoje zavítala ještěrka nebo hmyz. Celkově ale hodnotíme pobyt v Uwon Resort velmi pozitivně a rádi bychom se sem někdy znovu vrátili.

Dass Uwon Resort ist die beste Unterkunft die wir auf Sri Lanka hatten! Die Zimmer sind neu, geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, das Bett sehr bequem. Der Inhaber ist super freundlich, hilfsbereit und hat uns mehrmals ungefragt mit kalten Getränken überrascht. Es gibt außerdem einen Wasserspender und ab nächster Woche die Möglichkeit Frühstück mit wunderbarer Aussicht in der neuen Küche zu genießen. In der Küche kann auch selbst gekocht werden. Wir kommen wieder! Vielen Dank 🙏

The room at Uwon could be considered a 5 star resort one! It was such a good value for money, definitely the most upscale room we had on our trip. Spotlessly cleaned, with super comfortable bed and all the amenities. Fast wifi and super friendly owners.

It’s a peaceful and quiet place, perfect for those looking to relax. The location is fantastic, with several small, cozy beaches nearby, such as Jungle Beach, Ketaturu Beach, and Coconut Beach. These spots are not crowded. The hotel itself is new, and the rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. The hot water in the shower worked flawlessly, which is always a plus. The breakfasts are delicious, big portions. The owner, Chamil, and his family made sure I felt at home and were always ready to assist with anything I needed. Getting to Weligama center is easy with a tuk-tuk, and if you ask Chamil, he can help arrange one at a reasonable price. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a quiet, comfortable, and welcoming stay near some of the most beautiful, less-crowded beaches.

Very clean nice room - comfortable bed 10 min from Jungle Beach and a cozy café/restaurant The owner went to the trouble to go and buy a bottle opener just for us.

It would be nice with an extra Bin in the room and a bath mat in the bathroom

Room was very clean, the furniture was modern, the owner was really nice and helpful.

The price was a bit to high.

I did not use breafast services.

Electric socket at bathroom shower wall might not be best idea even with double switches.

Uwon Hotel is a true gem in a great location! The hotel is on a quiet street, just a 3-minute walk from Jungle Beach and a 5-minute drive to the centers of Weligama and Midigama. The hotel is newly renovated and well-maintained, featuring 4 beautiful, clean, and spacious rooms. There is a large and comfortable bed, a brand-new AC that works perfectly, a convenient work desk, and a lovely balcony that elevates the entire experience. Chamil, the owner, is wonderful with an exceptional sense of hospitality! When we mentioned that the Wi-Fi in our room wasn’t stable, he went out of his way to install a new router the very next day. He constantly checked in to see if we needed anything and was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay. The shower offers hot water with excellent water pressure, adding to the overall comfort. We stayed for 7 nights and would have happily extended our stay if the hotel hadn’t been fully booked. This is a quiet, family-friendly, and authentic place – highly recommended! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

I really enjoyed my stay at Uwon, Sansamali and his family really looked after and nothing was too much for them to make my stay comfortable. The property is beautiful and on a quiet back street, but easy to get to Weligama and other surf breaks. I'd recommend Uwon 😊

The room was exceptionally clean, and very spacious! The location is perfect—situated between Weligama and Ahangama, with easy access to stunning beaches. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, host was friendly and help us with organizing the bike, the views from the property were breathtaking.

The only thing we didn’t like was that on the last day, around 7 a.m., while we were still sleeping, someone entered our room. No harm was done, and we’re not sure if it was accidental or not, but it did feel a bit strange.

It is brand new place, the newest repair - no wet, nice design, perfect materials. Location is outstanding - very near to the Jungle beach without waves. Trees and palm around, very quiet and calm - no sound from the road, only ocean. I really like a view from the room. Staff is extremely friendly- support us as they can, good breakfast was served, cleaning is good. Totally recommended!

A Little Bit outside of a city! Breakfast , lunch or dinner always needs a little bit of a way but totally easy if you have a scooter

- A new place, very kind and friendly host that made delicious breakfast! - We slept on the top level, calm and green luscious view from the private terrace✨ - Great price-quality if you are looking for a calm place to stay between the noisy Weligama and Midigama.

The only little thing that was a bit open were the waste-management practices. There was quite a lot of plastic/trash in the backyard and I wasn't quite sure were also our room trash/plastic bottles piled up there.. Maybe the waste management practices are still being improved, but one easy improvement idea to the family would be to have the larger water tanks, where guests could fill their own water bottles. 🙌🙏
