Nos dejamos unas gafas de sol en la habitación, avisamos y volvimos a los 10 minutos y nos dijeron que las gafas ya no estaban. Claramente, es un robo. El wifi no funciona, tampoco hay buen internet. Por la noche al volver, la puerta estaba cerrada y el dueño no contestaba. Cuidado con los enchufes, dan calamabre (al menos ayer). Las instalaciones están bien, pero el trato de la persona nos decepcionó.

Abbiamo trovato le lenzuola macchiate e le formiche sul letto. Alla richiesta di cambiarle ci hanno provato a convincere che fossero comunque pulite. Poi le hanno tolte e non avendo altre lenzuola ci hanno dato due parei.

Our family stay was really good. Host is really friendly with helping us every possible way. Place was really nice and calm. It's located closed to very popular places as well. Few meters to beautiful thalpe beach. Highly recommend for anyone to stay and explore the beauty of galle.

Absolutely beautiful, peaceful place. Dinesh was excellent, he arranged everything about my stay absolutely brilliantly. Having such a staff member is a treasure. The bed was comfortable and I liked the hot shower. I loved to view from dinning hall! I had a food like breakfast which was simple but nice. Thank you for everything!

We had a fantastic 2-night stay at Anara Villa and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and affordable place to stay in Talpe. The location is excellent. We travelled by train and got off at the newly built Thalpe Railway Station, which is about a 15-minute walk away. There are frequent buses on the Matara Road right in front of the villa, making it easy and inexpensive to visit Mihiripenna Beach, Unawatuna, Galle Fort, and Japanese Peace Pagoda using public transport. The villa itself is beautifully maintained, very clean, cosy, and thoughtfully designed. We stayed in the Deluxe Double Room with our child, and the extra single bed was perfect for us. The room was spacious and well equipped with excellent air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, a hair dryer, an iron, a safety box, toiletries, body lotion, and even a small sewing kit. Each room has its own private entrance from the backyard, where there is a lovely bench to relax, enjoy the fresh air, or have a quiet chat. The upstairs dining area has a beautiful sea view, and the beach is only about 50 metres away. We loved walking to the famous Talpe natural rock pools every morning and evening. Even when we returned with wet clothes and sandy feet, the owner always welcomed us with kindness and made us feel completely at home. The owner is one of the friendliest hosts we have ever met. He always greeted us with a warm smile and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. The English breakfasts were delicious and filling, and the dinners and lunch we ordered were fresh, tasty, and served on time. One evening, when we stayed longer at the beach, he kindly left our dinner in our room after the kitchen had closed. His honesty and hospitality really stood out. To top it all off, he kindly gave us a discount on our final bill, making our two-night stay even better value for money. The price was very reasonable for the quality of accommodation and service we received.

Lovely affordable spot a little south with amazing staff that went beyond to help us enjoy our stay. You will not find better value

Reasonable good place

Le jeune homme est très sympathique et toujours dispo !!! L’emplacement est étrange car on doit marcher sur la route et prendre une petite traverse très sale pour arriver sur une petite plage ….Nous devions séjourner 4 nuits dans cet hôtel mais mon mari a voulu partir avant … La chambre est correct , le lit très bon mais la propreté et l’entretien de la peinture , frigo vraiment très sale car abîmé , les  meubles mal peint …. Bref une impression étrange quand on est dans la chambre …. On ne sait pas senti à l’aise Les photos sont embellies Le petit déjeuner était bien sûr la terrasse au dessus et le repas correct À vous de voir …. Cordialement Nathalie et Bruno

Nous n'avons pas séjourné dans cet hôtel. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés vers 19h30, nous avons trouvé porte-close nous avons contacté la personne nous a refusé. Notre réservation était pourtant valide et nous avions répondu. Alors WhatsApp que vous allez arriver en fin de journée. Et se retrouver avec trois enfants sans logement à 19h30. Le gérant très agressif, verbalement et physiquement. Très mauvaise expérience.

The room was clean and perfectly maintained. With a really good friendly staff ( Dinesh ) who supported us throughout the day and night. It was really near to the beach and just 5 mins walking to the Talpe natural pool. Overall I recommend the place to stay as we do alot of travelling and this is one of the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka.

I recently stayed at Anara Villa in Thalpe, Galle, and it was an amazing experience. If you’re planning a trip to Thalpe, this is definitely a place you shouldn’t miss. The villa is perfectly located just steps away from the beach, which makes everything so convenient. After enjoying the beach and taking a swim, you can simply walk straight back to your room. No hassle at all. Thalpe Beach itself is beautiful, with very clean and clear water. One of the highlights was being able to swim with turtles, which was truly unforgettable. There’s also a famous spot nearby where you can see colorful fish even without snorkeling because the water is so clear. I was very satisfied with my stay. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I will definitely visit again. Thank you, Thalpe, for such a wonderful experience! 4/4/2026

I spent three nights, and I think I would have stayed longer if I could.I felt like at home. The room was big, nicely decorated, one of the nicest in my trip.In Anara villa your I felt very comfortable.If yo are looking for a place to be really relax, next to the sea, that s the spot.On top of that they can cook delicious food for you, at very good price. I had some fresh fish cooked in front of me and was the BEST. The restaurant Is on the roof top with sea view, there are nearby beaches at walking distance with a breathtaking scenary, you can also see turtles.

Nice place, very close to the beach, quite comfortable - quiet (separated from the street by inner yard), A/C working well, furniture old but sufficient, fridge, kettle. WiFi sometimes good sometimes bit shaky. Warm water in shower all the day. Nice rooftop restaurant with reasonable prices.

Apart from hotel rooftop restaurant, I couldn't find other open food places nearby.

Ez volt Srí Lankán a 18. szállásunk, és ez volt a legjobb! Minden tökéletes volt. Jó helyen levő, hangulatos, jól felszerelt szállás. Az emeleti étteremből csodás kilátás a tengerre és a naplementére. A szálláshoz terasz is tartozik, asztallal székekkel, szép növényekkwl körbeültetve, este hangulatos megvilágítással. Tiszta szoba és fürdőszoba, kényelmes ágy, jóillatú ágynemű, légkondi és ventillátor is, piperecikkek. Vízforraló, hűtő, bögrék, poharak. Kedves, udvarias személyzet, a fiatalember még ráadásul remek szakács is! Isteni finomakat főzött vacsorára, és a reggeli is remek volt! A tükörtojást pont úgy készítette, ahogy szeretjük. És pontosan akkor tálalt, amikorra megbeszéltük. A busz az épület előtt áll meg. 3 éjszakát foglaltunk itt, de még egyet maradtunk, annyira jól éreztük magunkat. Több szállásnak is adtam már itt Srí Lankán 10 pontot, de ez tényleg megérdemli, sőt, többet is!!!

The rooms are clean, there is hot water, and the wifi works well. It’s nice working from the upstairs area. The staff is also kind and the location is perfect. The beach is just 2 min walk and nice for swimming and snorkeling. You can also see turtles in there but avoid the turtle mafia guys. Overall had a very pleasant stay and I extended for a few more days.

The breakfast was a bit lazy. Only eggs and toast and the same thing every day. Not even some fruits. But I guess for the money you pay it’s what you get. Either way it can be improved.

The warm water from shower runs out fast. Room has a little moisty smell.

Very spacious room and nice and cool even with just the fan. Good to have a back garden and clothes airer.

It wasn't as welcoming as the other places I have stayed, but still reasonably friendly. Not much to the area (I preferred nearby unawatuna) although the "natural pools " were well worth an early morning visit, and are almost next door.

Great hotel for the price. Situated on Thalpe ‘turtle’ beach, wake up early and you’ll be able to see some turtles. Rooms are basic but nice with very good AC and a nice restaurant upstairs.

Понравилось абсолютно все. Чисто, аккуратно, душ с туалетом идеально чистые. В комнате большая кровать и вторая кровать поменьше. В комнате с кондиционером есть холодильник, сушилка для полотенец, гель, шампунь, мыло для рук, крем для лица. Хорошие завтраки. Пляж в двух минутах, с черепахами.

The nearby beach, the location, the food , the hot water shower, the music on the upstairs terrace, the view from there and the helpful staff. Talpe is a great place with a great beach area which felt distinctly untouristy and was all the better for that. It is easy to get to many other places like Galle and the other beaches, by the many buses which pass nearby.

The ridge across the top of the stairs to the terrace. If somebody did not know it was there, I felt they could fall.

VARNING! Betala inte med kort här för då riskerar ni att råka ut för att debiteras dubbelt. Det hände mig och tyvärr såg jag det inte förrän efter jag lämnat boendet och även landet. C:a 850:- plus en avgift på 50:- som läggs på eftersom jag förlängde betalningstiden och trodde det skulle gå att få till en lösning när jag väl åkte dit igen. Kom dock tillbaka efter en månad och åkte dit för att reda ut det. Han var inte samarbetsvillig. Sa att det är min banks uppgift att ta bort det. Men det går inte eftersom det är registrerat vid två tillfällen och därför är som två köp. Då måste den som registrerat det annullera det ena. Han vägrade att chatta med mitt kreditkorts support. Sa att det inte var hans problem. Började skrika åt mig att försvinna därifrån. Så fruktansvärt otrevlig, inte minsta vilja att vara ärlig. Han struntade fullkomligt i att han hade blåst mig på pengar 😡 Allt detta skulle ha varit på - men då syns det inte direkt

Un peu près de la bruyante route, mais la nuit heureusement ça ce calme.

Пляж с черепахами прямо за номером и еще недалеко от него. Номер тихий уютный,со своей терассой уютной. Мы рекомендовали этот отель всем кого знали для поездки на Шри ланку. Если приедем еще раз- обязятельно остановимся тут.

we stared to Sri Lanka from USA on July 1st and landed there on 3rd night due to long layover time in Singapore. Anara villa cancelled our appointment without our knowledge and talked very rudely. very bad.

on the day we stared to Anara villa, we called them from Kandy very early in the morning and even at that time they didn't mention the cancellation. we had a little accident in the highway and called them to say we gonna be late and then they told me the the villa and the room we booked given to someone else and talked very rudely, said" I don't have to talk to you, go and find somewhere else", This kind of talking is unacceptable in any customer service or any standard. I wish booking.com will take stern action on this issue and inform me the outcome. Otherwise I will NOT recommend booking.com to anyone else in USA.

The nearby beach is beautiful.

The bed linen was not changed, it was dirty and had stains. We asked for new linen, we were only given a sheet. We decided to leave in the middle of the night after we wanted to change the sheet and saw how dirty the mattress was. The smell in the room was oppressive. On Thalpe beach you can see turtles only for a fee. This accommodation is to be avoided, I do not recommend it. You have to pay before seeing the room!!

Sehr unkompliziert und wurde vorgängig per whats app kontaktiert. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Schönes grosses Zimmer. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal und gutes Essen.

Die Lage an einer viel befahrener Strasse.

Tolle kleine Unterkunft mit herzlichem Host, der sich hier seinen Lebenstraum erfüllt hat. Preisleistung war wunderbar, es gab insgesamt 4 Zimmer, Kühlschrank, AC, Föhn alles vorhanden und liebevoll bereitgestellt. Auch eine kleine Terrasse hatten wir. Das Tuktuk konnte direkt auf dem Hof geparkt werden und der Strand war 2min zu Fuß entfernt. Die Lage ist allerdings etwas außerhalb von Unawatuna also ein Roller wäre von Vorteil oder man ruft sich einfach ein Tuktuk :)

The location is perfect peaceful yet conveniently close to the beach, restaurants, and local attractions, making it easy to explore Galle. The resturant area was a real highlight, offering a great space to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. Overall, Anara Vila offers outstanding value for money, combining comfort, cleanliness, and exceptional service. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Galle. They never diacriminating, and stay freely. We would definitely stay here again

Really well designed and equipped rooms. Great comfortable bed, nice little terrace, water kettle, good romantic lights, bathroom 👍👍 For this price one of the best on my two month Sri Lankan trip.

Maybe a couch to chill on the roof terrace. The roof terrace is great with beautiful view but more to eat something, not to hang and chill.

Terassialue ja huone oli laitettu ihan viihtyisäksi. Siellä oli kasveja ja kukkia. Sänky oli melko hyvä nukkumiseen. Ravintolapalvelut oli saatavilla ja kattoterassi oli viihtyisä. Suihkusta tuli lämmintä vettä. Pesuaineet ja vartalovoide oli saatavilla. Huoneessa oli ilmastointi, mutta laitetta ei oltu puhdistettu, joten se haisi pahalle. Aamupala oli ok, mutta olisimme kaivanneet jotain hedelmiä.

Huone haisi tunkkaiselle. Lakanat olivat tummia, joten niiden puhtaudesta ei voinut olla varma. Huoneessa on paljon pieniä muurahaisia ja ne tunkeutuvat laukkuihin. Kun valot sammutti, tuli esiin ja käveli iholle kämmenen kokoinen torakka ja meillä oli iso työ saada se tapetuksi, koska se juoksi kaapin taakse piiloon. Tämän jälkeen ei uni tullut ja jouduimme nukkumaan valot päällä. Uloskirjautuminen on ennen klo 10 ja siitä ei joustettu. Huoneeseen ei saa tuoda ruokia ja tämä sääntö on ilmeisesti juuri tuon torakkaongelman vuoksi. Hotellin pihalta ei pääse suoraan rannalle, vaan joudut kiertämään vähän matkaa.
