Unfortunately tall people will have to learn to duck upstairs. It takes about 3 bangs to have an effect.

A brilliant option for our family trip to West Cork. We love Rosscarberry so were looking for somewhere within walking distance and feel lucky to have found this place! Extremely warm welcome and down to earth atmosphere. House is perfect with everything you need. We had wonderful time visiting the incredible local.beaches and quirky towns. You won't regret staying here!

Much more spacious than it looks from the outside. Very comfortable beds and the kids were thrilled to see they had 2 x double beds.. Really well stocked with items you need for a short stay.. Owners were really friendly and helpful. Excellent communication in advance. Delighted to have a washing line outside so could dry clothes during the day. Excellent location for family with kids with Smugglers Cove, The Lagoon, and Warren Strand beach all within 5 mins drive.

Very minor comment here but the bedrooms were really warm. Not surprising as we were lucky enough to visit Rosscarberry during the recent heatwave so we were out and about at nearby beaches and activities for most of the days so the house and especially the bedrooms didn't get a chance to cool down despite closing down all the blinds to try stop the sun shining in.

Lovely house, large beds, large kitchen as well, very clean, perfectly located to discover West Cork! Friendly host, quick answers and very helpful! My friends loved to say hi to the friendly dog and we also enjoyed the good Wi-Fi connection and the Netflix account, treating ourselves to a movie in the evening.

The kitchen could be a little bit better equipped (more/larger pan to cook a nice meal for more than two people - since you have enough beds for four, we would have loved a salad spinner). Other than that we were perfectly happy with our stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. It is a beautiful property with everything you could need for a few days away. It was the perfect location for exploring beautiful West Cork.

Nothing at all

Great communication from owner. We arrived very late little touches like leaving lights on and clear information before hand was much appreciated. House is was clean set back of quiet road. Would have enjoyed staying for longer! They also own a breakfast / lunch stop on the beach which is definitely worth a visit too. Thanks

Not enough time there

An Garaiste was exactly as described, with exceptionally warm hospitality throughout our short stay. All communication prior to our stay was thoughtful and helpful, with lots of useful information shared ahead of the stay which made everything very easy and stress-free The location was convenient while still being peaceful and relaxing, it offered great value for money. I only stayed for one night, but I could easily have stayed much longer. Would happily recommend to others.

Cottage was excellent and owners were very friendly and hospitable. Lovely area to stay in.

Everything!! Hosts were so good. We loved Elaine and her family. The restaurant they run is sublime. The property was absolutely lovely. Such genuine people - good to see decent people do well in life.

How big the accommodation actually was inside. All you need for a family stay.

Not much to dislike. We will certainly stay here again.

Our host was there to greet us when we arrived, and was in touch earlier in the day to coordinate with us.

The property was perfect for our needs and the host very friendly and accommodating. If we had been staying longer, we might have hoped only for slightly more comfy furniture in the living/dining area, but that's a small niggle.

It’s a stylish modern furnished home, kitchen with all technical equipment, small supermarket nearby, beach with exzellent fish restaurant „Fish basket“ in only 4 km, interesting locations and villages not far away.

We missed some elementary things in the kitchen like bowls, glasses, cutlery… And two more comfortable seats would be nice

We had a fantastic stay! The accommodation was spotless, very well equipped, and clearly cared for with great attention to detail. Our host, Elaine, was incredibly welcoming and informative, making sure we had everything we needed. A real highlight was their café, The Fish Basket at Long Strand – the food was absolutely amazing, fresh, and full of flavor. It's a must-visit if you're in the area. We highly recommend this place and would love to return!

I loved the use of space. It was well thought out and everything we needed was available to us. It was very close to the centre of Rosscarberry. Weather conditions were quite bad outdoors but we were all cosy inside. I can imagine this location in the Summer months as it is only a short drive to many beaches, which we visited today in the wild windy weather
