Reviewed Apr 13, 2025Very friendly hosts who were very welcoming and happy to assist with whatever you may need. Walking distance to town and beach, provided you don't mind the uphill walk home. Lovely place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Reviewed Jan 28, 2025Außergewöhnlich Unterkunft, riesiger Balkon mit Sitzgelegenheiten und Küche. Das Haus liegt auf einem steilen Hügel, die Aussicht über die Bucht ist ensprechend spektakulär. Alles ist sehr sauber und ruhig. Das Zentrum und ein schöner Sandstrand sind zu Fuß in ca. 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Parkplatz direkt am Haus. Es gab sogar eine Waschmaschine, sehr praktisch auf Reisen. Die Gastgeber sind außerdem super nett, habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt.

Reviewed Jan 15, 2025Location superb. Close to centre but apart as well in a nature reserve so you feel tranquil and not in the midst of all the tourists. Feels like you are immersed in nature. Great for bird lovers. We saw Weka, Kereru, Tui and many others. Kiwi bird calls can be heard at night. Wonderful views. Hosts on hand to assist with anything and are very friendly. The check in was very pleasant and thorough. Spacious and tastefully furnished. All the Russel sights and restaurants are just down the hill. Also close to Long Beach.

Reviewed Dec 29, 2024We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Heights. We were impressed by the warm welcome by the hosts, Ida & Ian. Both were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ensure of our comfort. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with stunning views and birds singing that made waking up each morning a real treat. Location was good, with easy access to local attractions and shops. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and quiet gateway.
We did experience strong winds on first day of our arrival, hosts were proactive in making sure we were comfortable and informed. The building itself was well-designed to handle the weather, and we never felt unsafe.
