Queen House

Queen House è una piccola oasi di pace con affaccio sul Nilo. Si trova su Elefantin Island che è un punto dove il panorama è fantastico ci sono uccelli bufali gabbianelle. Da lì si vede il mausoleo. L’isola è molto wild,se decidete di soggiornare qui e’ un viaggio nel viaggio perché vedrete la parte autentica dell’Egitto e vi sentirete ancora più fortunati per quello che avete perché qui vivono con poco ed in semplicità. Col battello in 5 minuti si attraversa il Nilo e si è ad Assuan. L’albergo è come descritto stanza ampie e pulite colazione semplice a tutto ben tenuto ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Il vero fiore all’occhiello è il proprietario Taalat persona estremamente intelligente e discreta (cosa rara in Egitto) e soprattutto professionale. Mi ha spiegato molto sull’isola sui templi e ha risposto a tutte le mie domande. Organizzate con lui tutte le escursioni ha prezzi modici! Non perdetevi il villaggio Nubiano e Philae! non avrete i problemi di essere fermati per negozi e bazar affiliati. Ci ha anche organizzato il trasporto per Luxor e Mars Alam! Da italiana mi sento Di suggerire a pieno questo posto. Grazie Taalat e buona vita! Loredana e Denis

Situé sur l'île éléphantine, facilement accessible grâce au bac qui fait des allers-retours réguliers. Jolie vue sur le Nil depuis la terrasse Chambre avec plafond voûté Nous voulions visiter l'île botanique. On nous a organisé ça en moins d'une heure !

Difficile de se repérer sur l'île au départ (pas de route) mais si vous le demandez, on vient vous chercher sur le quai. La cuisine à disposition est assez sale, c'est dommage.

Le petit dejeuner est a améliorer et a changer si on reste plusieurs jours (des fruits frais et jus de fruits ....) Il manque quelqu'un dans la maison si on a besoin de qqch ...principe de la guest house (nous y étions en aout)

És un lloc nou, net, cuidat i amb bones vistes. Ens han facilitat els desplaçaments d'anada i tornada. Personal molt amable!

Nous avons adoré l’accueil avec le personnel qui était très agréable, un petit hibiscus tea à l’arrivée ! Les couchers de soleil sur le rooftop sont formidables et le petit déjeuner est délicieux !

The room was comfortable and the property itself is very nice. The view over the Nile is absolutely stunning and was definitely the highlight of our stay. The host was responsive before our arrival and helped arrange our transfer to the island, which made the check-in process straightforward. On our last morning, he also kindly offered to take us to Aswan by boat so we didn’t have to walk across the island, which we really appreciated.

Unfortunately, communication during our stay was inconsistent. As we visited in the low season, there was often no one at the property during the day. When we arrived, there was no welcome or information about practical things such as where to catch the boat, where to eat, or how the ferry worked. Before our departure day, after we had already paid, we were unable to reach anyone by Booking, WhatsApp, or phone when we needed help arranging our transfer to Luxor. Fortunately, the owner of the neighbouring guesthouse stepped in and helped us book a taxi. Breakfast was also quite basic, and the takeaway option consisted of two small sandwiches and a bottle of water.

Świetna lokalizacja nad samym brzegiem Nilu. Właściciel Pan Talat wszystko doskonale zorganizował. Klimatyzacja działała świetnie. Super obsługa. Fajny widok z dachu na którym są serwowane śniadania. Polecamy.

まずは何よりも宿からの景色！！テラス付きの部屋に滞在しましたが、テラスから見える夕焼けは格別でした。エレファンティネ島でゆっくり過ごすには最高の宿かと思います。 また、朝１０時に到着したのですが、すぐにチェックインさせてくれました。帰りは宿を１６時発の空港送迎をお願いしたところ、その時間まで部屋に滞在させてくれました。空室状況次第かと思いますが、とても助かりました。 市街地からは公共ボート（島の東側に北と南で乗り場が２つあるが、南側乗り場の方が宿には近い）で片道１５EGPで移動でき、10-15分に一本は必ず出ている感じなので特に不便は感じませんでした。

Nous avons passé un super séjour à Queen House. La chambre est spacieuse, les lits confortables, et Talaat et son équipe sont très serviables. La vue depuis la terrasse est magnifique, elle donne sur le Nil et les dunes de l'autre rive et non sur la ville, ce qui en fait un emplacement très calme. Je recommande de séjourner à cet hôtel pour une expérience relaxante.

Il aurait été pratique d'avoir un petit réfrigérateur dans la chambre.

Cela n’a été réglé que le lendemain - wifi un peu capricieux le premier jour - pas de personnel sur place - les petits déjeuners take away n’étaient pas top : du pain fourré aux frites ou au fromage blanc. La deuxième fois nous avons eu une banane en plus

Le calme, la vue, l’immersion

Le logement était top et la localisation est superbe. Nous avons adoré notre séjour sur l'ile, l'hôte nous a aidé à organiser toutes nos excursions. Vraiment je recommande à fond ce logement. Le restaurant situé en bas de la guesthouse est top et hyper abordable.

Os staffs são muito atenciosos e nos dão grande suporte com os passeios. A hospedagem em um quarto, no estilo de construção nubia, foi deliciosamente exótico. Sabíamos que a hospedagem seria em uma ilha tranquila e a rusticidade do local era o que procurávamos.

Au calme. Belle vue sur le Nile. Île préservée du tourisme de masse, avec ferry à 5/10 min a pied (pas cher). Gérant très réactif, qui propose excursions et transfert à prix intéressants (sans jamais pousser à la vente). Climatisation efficace. Quelques restaurants pour manger alentours. Serviette fournie.

Île très sale, avec beaucoup d'habitations abandonnées ou pas finies. Personne sur place, pas de petit déjeuner ou de bouteilles d'eau sur place (à prévoir car peu d'options alentours)

The team were fantastic, very responsive on whatsapp. The tours are cheaper than get your guide/klook. The views of the Nile were stunning. When I return to Aswan I will be using them again. Airport transfer is very reasonably priced - really enjoyed our time here.

Our time in Queen House was one of the best during our trip on Egypt. The house is located in Elephantine Island, which is much calm and quiet, and you can feel the true essence being there instead of Aswan mainland. The owner, Mr. Talaat was very helpful, friendly and a good communicator. He arranged the tours to Abu Simbel and to the nubian Village so we didn't need to worry about it. I totally recommend staying here during your time in Aswan which makes your experience much better.

A very friendly, family-run place with warm hospitality. They kindly provided us with a late checkout and gave us great tips and recommendations for exploring Aswan. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable stay.

very nice and calm place. I highly recommend to solo travellers. we were two women travelling and we loved the experience. our host picked us up, and walked us through elephantine, and explained us about the region very well.

The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was very good. There is the most stunning view of the Nile from the balcony. This is definitely the best side of the island to stay for the views and tranquillity. Talaat was very helpful and relaxed. We had a great couple of days on the island. It is only a short walk from the pier to get back over into Aswan when you need to.

Breakfast looked ok but decided on fruit as caught a stomach complaint most likely from the kofta meatballs from restaurant below. Thin rugs are trip hazard on tiled floor. Bathroom is very tiny. No real shower area so it’s between toilet and washbasin. Air condition unit very noisy. Airless room unless balcony door is open.

Die Abholung auf dem Festland war sehr gut. Die Unterkunft liegt idyllisch mit Blick auf das Mausoleum des Aga Khan. Es ist sehr ruhig und das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Der Weg ans Festland mit der Fähre funktioniert gut, die Fähre fährt bis 0 Uhr nachts in regelmäßigen Abständen. Da der Weg allerdings etwas umständlicher ist, empfiehlt es sich, das Programm so festzulegen, dass man eine Weile auf der Insel verweilen kann.

Le cadre au bord du nil est particulièrement agréable et reposant. L'hôte nous a aidé à organiser plusieurs excursions (abu simbel, temple de Philae, transfert pour Louxor avec arrêt à Kom Ombo) c'était parfait ! Notre chambre était spacieuse et confortable. Un restaurant se trouve en bas de l'hôtel, les plats sont bons et abordables.

Rien ! Nous avons regretté ne pas être resté une nuit de plus pour en profiter davantage !

The location is very nice, the hosts are wonderful hosts. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the room was clean, with a comfortable bed. The view from the balcony is amazing, it is very pleasant to sit out and admire the scenery. Mr. Talaat helped organize the programs, transfer from Luxor, Abu Simbel trip, visit to Philea temple, boat program and airport transfer. He was correct, punctual, reliable in everything. Thank you for your hospitality!

Piccola guest house con bella vista sulla nilo, camera essenziale ma pulita, colazione poco varia e con nessuna proposta europea ma solo egiziana. Proprietari che ti fanno il transfert gratis dal porto di assuan alla casa molto apprezzati...

Unica pecca ho dovuto chiedere il fono tante volte perché non era disponibile in camera e il bagno è davvero spartano....poi non fanno il pagamento con carta Altra cosa di cui lo staff non è responsabile è la grande sporcizia che regna nell'isola elefantina un vero peccato

Talaat was a great host who explained how the island was different from the rest of Aswan as it was Nubian . Loved the ferry ride to and from Elephantine Island. EGP 15 each way.

O anfitrião, Tallat é extremamente antecioso e prestável. Tivemos uma experiência incrível no alojamento. A ilha em que está situado, ilha elefantina, é uma região sossegada com pessoas bastante simpáticas. Para além disso, o anfitrião tem imensos contactos, e acabamos por reservar 3 tours (abu simbel, vila núbia e jardim botânico) com preços bastante razoáveis e nunca nos sentimos pressionados a aceitar alguma tour. Inclusivamente, no dia de abusimbel, em que tinhamos de sair por volta das 4am, um membro do staff preparou nos o pequeno almoço e levou nos até ao nosso transporte. Quando precisavamos de algum barco era só falar com ele e na hora que precisavamos, ele conseguia o barco. O alojamento dispõe ainda de um rooftop onde são servidos os pequenos almoços, lá existe também uma chaleira onde podem ir sempre que queiram e beber o vosso chá, café com vista para o Nilo. Recomendo mesmo muito, sem dúvida que tornou toda a experiência muito agradável.

O pequeno almoço não é muito saudável, sendo basicamente só fritos. De resto tudo perfeito!

Situato nel lato tranquillo dell'isola, ottima vista sul Nilo a colazione. Camera spaziosa, letto comodo, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Proprietario molto gentile sia nel venirci a prendere al molo sia nel darci tutte le informazioni necessarie per visitare. Molto preciso e presente anche via whatsapp

The island is one of a kind, another welcoming face of Egypt. The family taking care of the Queen’s house take good care with their additional services. Picking you up from the airport & arranging day trips for very reasonable prices.

The owner - Talaat- is helpful and knowledgeable. He booked various trips for us and all were great and good value. The location is fantastic. It has beautiful views and is in a peaceful and quiet place. Breakfast was good. It was good value. I really recommend staying on Elephantine island and choosing Queen House.

Petite guest house sur l’île éléphantine avec roof top vue sur le Nil ou l’on nous sert un excellent petit déjeuner égyptien. Les propriétaires sont adorables et aux petits soins, la chambre est simple, la salle de bain conforme aux standards égyptiens. Et le calme de l’environnement est propice au repos. Le rapport qualité prix est excellent Un petit restaurant terrasse accueillant et très bon se trouve devant la maison.

Nuestra estancia en Queen's House ha sido de lo más agradable. Talaat nos recibió en el puerto del ferry y nos llevo en barco al alojamiento. El fue muy amable y servicial. Nos ayudó buscar un barco para cruzar al lado oeste del Nilo y luego arregló el traslado al aeropuerto, acompañadonos hasta el ferry. La vista desde la terraza donde se desayna es espectacular. Disfrutamos estar en la Isla Elefantina....un lugar tranquilo y auténtico.

Un emplacement parfait avec une vue à tombée !! Tout était parfait, nos hôtes étaient très gentils et bienveillants. La chambre était très propre et le petit déjeuner délicieux ! Je recommande à 100%

The property is so peaceful and serene. It’s absolutely beautiful. When I tell you Talaat is your go to man. He is your go to man. He was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately one of my friends got sick on the trip, but Talaat had a doctor there within 30 minutes treated my friend and left her prescriptions all for $150. When it came to tours, transportation and whatever we needed, Talaat was on it like wet on water…He is truly amazing. He arranged our transportation to/from Luxor and all of our tours in Luxor. The staff was also very helpful. Mishmish and Talaat’s neighbor were extremely helpful and courteous. The restaurant next-door has amazing food and the cook was exceptional. Speaking of cooks the breakfast that’s included every day was out of this world. Everything was handmade and absolutely delicious!!! Nubian Village is a MUST SEE and Aswan is truly UNFORGETTABLE. If you need a peaceful getaway reasonably priced, I suggest Queens House on the Nile river w Talaat and his staff.

There was a lot of construction and noise. When you’re on vacation, you don’t wanna hear all that noise. If the host is going to have something like that going on, he needs to warn the guest or halt construction until after the guest leave. I also suggest getting all the prices for tours, fairy rides etc agreed-upon upfront. Another side note is know that Talaat and his family/staff stay at the house also. There are also ppl in and out through the day working.

The staff are very welcoming and the location is unique with beautiful Nile view. And the breakfast was amazing with the Nile view. Also the staff can help visiting attraction locations like temples and villages.

Nous avons apprécié l'authenticité de l'île Elephantine, la gentillesse du gérant, et le fait que quelqu'un vienne nous chercher près de l'embarcadère d'Assouan.

Hotel is really nice, beautiful, peaceful and the views from the rooftop are amazing. The owner made my trip a lot easier as he was really helpful to arrange trips to luxor and Abu simbel

There was no water from the shower between 17:00 and 19:00. Room is small and the mattresses were broken. Toilet is small too.

Posizione, pulizia e servizi.

L'accueil du proprietaire Talaat et l'organisation qu'il nous a fait pour les excursions à très bon prix. Nous avons pris Abu simbel, Temple de Philae son et lumière et nubian village. Talaat est très bien organisé et tou s'est passé aux heures prévues. L'emplacement a une vue magnifique sur le Nil et est au calme. La climatisation marche très bien, les lits sont confortables et les locaux sont propres. Le petit déjeuner était copieux. Le restaurant en bas font des plats très bons.

Ce n'est pas de la faute de Talaat mais nous déconseillons l'excursion au Nubian village, vous ne visitez rien à part une rue de souk donc attrappe touriste rien d'autre. Ils ont un service de blanchisserie mais comme un peu partout en Egypte, le prix se paie au nombre d'articles et non au kilo comme dans plein de pays, ce qui rend la noté salée à la fin. La chambre est un peu petite.

Very nice house on the Elephantine Island in Aswan. The view from the rooftop is great at sunset and sunrise time as it faces the dunes on the other side of the river. The staff was exceptional too, being super gentle and welcoming. Totally recommended place if you want to relax and visit Aswan and surrounding :)

Kitchen utensils could have been improved

Talaat, the owner, was a great guy. Met me at the ferry crossing ahead of my arrival and took me to the guest house. Very hospitable owner and staff. Great location, very quiet and the room came with a small terrace with a scenic view of the Nile.

Breakfast on the roof terrace was wonderful. We had a room with a balcony which looked out over the river. The manager was so helpful and organised tours and transfers for us.

Excellent location, friendly host, value for money

Small washroom but functional

I chose this hotel because of its location right on bank of the Nile looking across to the desert and Agha Khan's mausoleum on the west bank. We paid extra for a balcony but you get the same view from the rooftop terrace. A great spot to watch the sun set and nice light at dawn. The balcony was shady in the morning but no shade in the afternoon, though the rooftop terrace does have shade. Free transfer to/from the hotel on arrival and departure by private boat was provided. There is a little restaurant just in front of the hotel, though we didn't use it, preferring to walk to the licensed Bob Marley restaurant. We booked return transport to Aswan airport (to fly to Abu Simbel), to Philae Temple (including the boat) and Unfinished Obelisk, and transfer to Luxor by car through the hotel in advance which was convenient. Payment for room and trips requested in USD so I took enough USD to pay for all this. Breakfast was small but adequate (omelette, falafel, tomato, cucumber, soft cheese, jam, bread, tea/coffee) and served on the rooftop terrace or balcony. Room was small but clean. En suite was basic but clean and perfectly adequate. Overall: great location and good value for money. I recommend staying on Elephantine Island at Aswan as you are staying in a genuine Nubian village. It's a different world to the hustle and bustle of the east bank of Aswan: mud brick houses painted in the colourful Nubian style, women in traditional dress chatting, and children playing, in front of their houses in the evening, no traffic, no one hassles you. The locals either ignore you or just say "hello" or "welcome." The short ferry ride is only 10EGP (about 15p). Women sit in the front of the ferry, men at the back.

I only book rooms that have a kettle and fridge as we like to make our own tea and coffee. The kettle and fridge mentioned in the listing aren't in the room, they're in a small shared kitchenette in the hall. So it was a bit awkward making a drink when someone else was using the kitchenette (and someone used our milk). The kitchenette was a bit grubby with flies and this is where they cook your breakfast.
