sunset guest house

Wszystko było zgodne z opisem; przemili właściciele. Pyszne śniadanie na tarasie. Pomagają w organizacji wycieczek np do Abu Simbel.

Wszystko super!

Super nice host really kind and well attention to us

Bed was a bit hard but overall super clean and welcomed

Very comfortable and clean rooms and beds. The rooftop where breakfast is served has a lovely and relaxing view to the Nile and opposite bank. They helped us book the transport to visit Abu Simbel.

There was some construction going on, so there was quite some noise during the day.

Truly top notch service from a family that appreciates their guests. We realized after our flight was delayed three times by almost 3 hours that we would have to navigate from the Aswan airport to a ferry dock, across to the island and walk to the hotel late at night. We messaged the hotel to see if they had some suggestions to help us out. To my surprise, they sent us a Google link with a dock meeting point and picked us up on their private boat for a transfer. This was at 11:30PM! We felt so bad due to the late arrival but the hospitality was incredible and we were SO grateful. The accommodations were new and super clean with comfortable beds and linens. The shower had hot water and great pressure. The bathroom is a wet bath with a shower between the sink and toilet (just fyi). There was a shared refrigerator outside our door in a common entry area. A huge, delicious breakfast was served each morning on their rooftop with a view of the Nile river. The hosts offered tours and I honestly wish we had booked a botanical garden island trip and a Nubian village trip with them instead of Viator. I suggest asking what they charge for boat transfers to these site if they are on your list. Both are easily navigated and possibly more enjoyable without a guide. Elephantine island is rustic. No cars, sand/dirt trails between buildings, weaving through a mix of local residential and small businesses/restaurants. It’s not a touristy location but there are nearby amenities like restaurants, tea/coffee shops, etc. We consider this a HUGE plus as we like to avoid other tourists and experience local culture. We got lost walking around a few times. We had local kids navigate us through the trails and were happy to give them a few pounds for their guidance. We loved the adventure. The walk to the local ferry to the mainland is approx 5-7 minutes once you learn the way and the ferry ran back and forth every 10 minutes or so.

Really nothing to complain about.

Staff were very helpful. In terms of price performance, it was good. If you want to see more tips Luxor-Aswan-Cairo trip tips you can check my instagram highlights instagram: @afageva

Wonderful staff, very helpful. They arranged a Felucca trip for us which was absolutely fantastic. Rooms very good value. Location on the quiet part of the island

The view was a bit disappointing as there is a new building half in front of the hotel.

Everything was perfect. Very nice place. Would totally recommend and visit again

Bakry and his family are very kind. They are genuine, and always available for the guest. Any questions, visit or emergency they are here to help. The mornings and sunsets are great and very peaceful. You can ask Bakry to book any visit for you and it's better that way because he knows reliable people. Don't book felucca or anything on the corniche of the city even if cheaper, you'll regret it. Besides the views are better on the guest house side than on the city side.

It's a minor detail because everything was great but if I have to say something then I'd say the coffee (nescafe) in the breakfast was not good (maybe too much water).

If you are looking for a small family-run guest house in a perfect location, with the most wonderful people - this is the place. We felt like home. Amazingly great breakfast served in the terrace with beautiful view over palms and river Nile. The room was big and superclean, fresh linen, big, thick towels and great beds. The landlord was very welcoming, friendly and humble. When we asked for a felucca, his son took us for a wonderful 2 hrs sailing for a very resonable price. When we had to leave early they made us a package with breakfast. If you visit Aswan, you have to stay at Elephantine Island, it is very easy with the public boat. When you stay at Elephantine you should definitely stay att Sunset Guesthouse, it was the very best 3 night on our 3 weeks in Egypt.

-

Además ofrecen excursiones a buen precio.

Authentic, local immersion, and the host’s willingness to connect and learn from each other. The facilities are clean, spacious, and comfortable. Plenty of options for transportation to sites as well as airport transfer. Amazing breakfast. It’s an amazing place to stay with a wonderful host and I highly recommend that you book it.

I loved my time at Sunset Guest House and would stay here over and over again. Bakry and his family showed us great hospitality, even arriving late at night. A beautiful boat ride across the Nile awaited to get to the room. The room was clean and perfect for the nights in Aswan. It was amazing having a homemade breakfast on top of the roof with the most gorgeous view of the Nile. Nowhere better to sip coffee. There are excellent arrangements for transportation and sites in the area and as far away as Abu Simbel, as well as airport and boat transfers to arrive safely. Not only was the hospitality great but we made a lifelong friend in Bakry. I can’t speak highly enough about Bakry and his family, they really care and connect. I highly recommend Sunset Guest House.

I loved everything about it. The location in the village on the island might not be for everyone but if you like authenticity and crave experiences then you will love it!

Super guesthouse!

Rien!

Next to nile river on an island. The host was very communicative, friendly and welcoming. He was so.kind and soft spoken person..He also arranged a Nubian village trip with his boat which was super nice.

You need to use the ferry (06.00 to 23.59) everytime you need to travel out of the island. Not a problem but need to be aware. The street to nile view river restaurant was dark in some places which makes navigation tricky.

L hote genereux, prevenant, exceptionnel. L emplacement tranquile, paisible et super vue.

Rien

Rien.

The owner and his family were very friendly helpful and obliging. The room and ensuite was newly done, spacious, quality materials, everything worked. Had excellent air con as well as overhead fan, and the private balcony was lovely to sit unobserved in the evening. Or stand and admire the view across the water The breakfast area on the top floor has a beautiful view, well shaded, and I loved the sand underfoot covering the concrete so it felt beachy or desert. We had great conversations with the owner too.

Bakry is very kind and helpful

We had a wonderful stay and appreciated the great value for money offered. The pickup directly from the boat location was very convenient, and the laundry service was a big plus. Bakry and his family went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — their special attention and care made our stay easy and stress-free. They were always present, available, and incredibly helpful in organizing our activities, which saved us a lot of hassle and allowed us to simply enjoy our time. All of our activities were well arranged and on time, showing great organization. The bedroom was spacious and very clean, and the breakfast was tasty. Overall, the hospitality and warmth we received made our experience very comfortable. Recommended for anyone looking for both comfort and genuine care during their stay.

Wonderful Staff and a great breakfast. This is a guest house where you can experience he local culture. The Host is very helpful with assisting one with tour plans,,,has his own boat as well. I certainly recommend!!!

Although the Host meets you at the dock would be good to have some signs directing to guest house.

Very kind and helpful staff. Big, clean, modern room with very good working aircon. The terrace with nice view and breeze. Great breakfast! Thank you so much for your hospitality.

I had a really good stay in sunset guest house. Abdallah and his father are really kind. They showed me the place around Elephantine island and made sure I was the most comfortable in any way. I strongly recomend you to eat in their restaurant next to the nile. The views are beautiful, and the place is cosy. they have a lot of traditional dishes and drinks that you can choose as menu and everything is amazingly cook!! You'll enjoy a peaceful meal next to the nile.

The room was very spacious, clean with very comfortable beds and crisp clean bed sheets. The air-conditioning and fan kept the room as cool as you would like. The bathroom was a good size with as much hot water as you needed and the balcony was a pleasant place to sit as the evening cooled. The breakfast provided was amazing too and there was a nice breeze on the upstairs terrace to sit and eat. Overall this is a great value for money guest house, family run and a great way to support local business.

Very nice owner and family, will do everything they can for you and not a bother.Very good rooms and great size wet room with toilet paper.

Clean and convenient. The owner and his family are very kind and hospitable.

This property is very close to the Nile and has a rooftop that overlooks the water. There are also boats for transport and attentive staff to help with all of your needs. The room is also very nice with comfortable beds, bedding, and fresh towels. The owner is available onsite, very friendly , and breakfast was included with my stay. WiFi is available and several options for excursions are near by. The photos shown on this site are an accurate description of what to expect!

Wonderful Nubian hospitality, very comfortable bed, delicious breakfast and great view of the Nile ✨

The guest house was located on the west side of Elephantine Island, deeply rooted in the Nubian quarters and 5 minutes ( by walking ) from the Taxi boat station. Thus this makes it the perfect spot for discovering all the landmarks and monuments in Aswan and the surrounding islands.
