I had to search for cutting boards. There are some kitchen gadgets in a closet near the washer.

Reviewed Mar 17, 2026It was clean and tidy. It was laid out well. It has a lovely modern kitchen and lounge area. It was quiet. It had everything that we needed. Nicely decorated and all appliances worked well. I liked that it had some subtle references to Our Lord Jesus.
It’s a little dated in some areas. The shower water temp was hard to regulate and maintain good water pressure without burning yourself.

Reviewed Mar 5, 2026Easy to find. Fabulous kitchen with everything we needed. Relaxing covered outdoor area. Huge lovely grassed area.
My travel companion is allergic to chemical fragrances and the house was filled with perfumed candles and sticks. We took them outside and let plenty of fresh air in before we could settle in. It was great to be able to do some washing but there were no pegs!

Ants in the kitchen but likely common so with more care about ANY food left out largely fixed the issue. Also one kitchen chair was broken. Otherwise all good.

Would of been good if check in was the normal 10 am not 2-3 pm. Bedrooms were freezing cold with no heaters supplied. Never saw staff/owners but had to phone them as was given the wrong pin number for the door key so were locked out. Found there was no bathroom soap at all. BBQ in back porch was was in peices and once we reassenbled it we found the supplied gas bottle was empty.

Reviewed Jun 20, 2025Good sized place for a family of 4, although we were there only 1 night so didn't actually do much other than sleep. Everything was functional & clean and other than having a bit of bother trying to get in (which was our fault because I don't use the bookin app).
We didn't meet the owners but we did meet the neighbours who were friendly and pleasant but who don't have a good relationship with the owners.

The entrance to the parking is quite narrow for a big car.

We only stayed one night as we were on our way further north but if I was visiting the area again, I would definitely choose Cozy Corner. We had everything we needed and the cottage was beautifully decorated to feel like home.

We never saw them but they responded almost immediately with an answer to our enquiry. We were able to book an extra night with no problems at all. Room had air con that worked nicely to cool the place down for the evening.
Pillows were too large to use comfortably. Could not find any flannels for showering. Not a big deal but noteworthy.

Only slight flaw is it is a bit far out for walking to town is you are careful about drinking and driving like me, but we found a great taxi company, Thames Taxis, so was ok. Thames is a great base for the things around Thank you

Reviewed Aug 22, 2024The Cozy corner is a modern, very well equipped house with comfortable beds. It's half an hour's drive for the Coromandel's parking lot for the Pinnacles' hike, so ideally situated for hikers.
The road and the small airport are very close so it can get a bit noisy.
