One of the best Villa's in Siem Reap, and I've been here 7+ times. Very spacious King room with a convenient balcony, a small fridge to keep your beverages cold and big bed. Very kind staff.

Thou it's close to a busy tourist center, it was down an alley & surprisingly very quiet. Great aircon. Lovely attentive staff. I enjoyed having my coffee on the balcony.

The used towels from yesterday were left as they were, and no fresh ones were provided, which was quite inconvenient. Is this because we booked a special rate and don't get towel service?

The room was spacious, with a nice balcony. If you go here, avoid contracting any other severely overpriced services that are half price around the corner.

The experience started on a questionable note at check-in. After taking my passport, the receptionist asked me to sit down while presenting several additional services that I had not requested. After a long journey and carrying my backpack, I simply listened and waited for the process to finish. I had booked the room for two people, with myself as the main guest. When my partner arrived, she approached the reception desk to present her ID. Before even looking at the document, the receptionist immediately stated that we had to pay an additional USD 7 for an extra guest. I explained that the reservation was already for two people. His response was: "This is not your girlfriend." I found this highly inappropriate and unprofessional, as determining the nature of guests' relationships is not the role of hotel staff. The next day I raised the issue with the manager. The outcome was a partial apology, and reception then asked me to provide a photo of my partner's ID, despite the fact that she had already left. I declined, as I do not send someone else's personal identification documents through messaging applications. I explained that she could present her ID again if she returned to the hotel and that I was surprised that now the priority has shifted from taking 7$ and not paying attention to the ID she was showing, to the need to collect (now) the actual ID I also used the hotel's laundry service. I was initially told the price would be USD 3 with a 24-hour turnaround or USD 6 for 12 hours. Since I was not in a hurry, I chose the USD 3 option. Even though I was about to pay, he told me I will pay later (later I would know why). I realized afterwards that there is a laundry service just around the corner that provides the servive at half price. The surprise came when later that afternoon, the reception staff member (the woman that checked me in) requested me to sign the invoice, being the amount now increased to USD 4.50.

Location is top notch. I've stayed here more than once. Comfortable bed 🛌, Comfortable room, and a balcony. Very helpful and friendly staff, they're willing to go the mile to help. Always nice to be greeter with a smile 😃. Close to everything you need. Two thumbs 👍 👍up.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here. When I returned, the staff welcomed me warmly. They also made my room up with lotus petals and a welcome message, which was so sweet! Chen, Oudom, Sry Orn, and Toy March have all been so kind and helpful to me. The location of the hotel is ideal and central to enjoy Siem Reap.

Our stay at Golden Butterfly Villa was absolutely exceptional. In the middle of the otherwise chaotic and heavily touristy Siem Reap, this hotel feels like a true Zen oasis. If you want to visit the Angkor Wat temple complex, you simply have to stay in this area — and this place makes the experience genuinely special. The staff were incredibly professional, yet at the same time sincerely warm, caring, and attentive. They constantly made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, always with genuine kindness and a smile. If I ever return to Siem Reap, I already know exactly where I want to stay again. Golden Butterfly Villa is a truly unique place that I can wholeheartedly recommend.

The only downside was that somewhere nearby there is a rather crazy nightclub with extremely loud music late into the night. Interestingly, you never really see it or come into direct contact with it visually — you can simply hear it very clearly. Fortunately, there’s an easy solution: earplugs. With that small precaution, it definitely didn’t ruin our stay or the overall experience of this lovely place.

The staff is very attentive and they welcome you with useful information. The rooms are big and clean. They can lend you a bicycle and the location is great for local places, as well as not far away from tourist attractions.

They do tell you in advance when you arrive, but they are located next to a school, so some noice is expected.

Such a great location - close to pub at and the the river but in a quiet street so it feels relaxing. Staff were very helpful and so warm. I felt at home.

There are limited facilities - no pool and not much of a restaurant so couldn’t order when I wanted to although this might be because it is low season.

The property is beautiful and conveniently located walking distance from restaurants, market streets, nightlife and more. The rooms are lovely, very spacious and plenty of seating so you’re not sitting on the bed all the time and the balcony is beautiful. The entire staff and manager are very friendly and welcoming!! They get a 10/10 for how amazing they are!! Right when we arrived they greeted us warmly, sat us down to get checked in, brought tea & a snack and cool towels while explaining check-in and all the amenities and surrounding area to us. We received a warm welcome message from Mr. Chen the front office manager and the desk staff helped us arrange our temple tours and gave us great restaurant recommendations. Wonderful team working here!!!

The club nearby…it is so loud. The staff warned us, but it is very loud. They start the music around 7pm and goes until ~4am depending on what’s happening there. It made waking up for a 5am temple tour really difficult haha. There is a primary school next to the hotel as well and I saw reviews mention that often. However, we couldn’t hear the children from our room really, very faint compared to the constant rhythmic boom from the club. There was not a tv in our room which we found odd since the description says a tv is provided. We were only here for 5 nights and didn’t plan to be watching tv much, but it would have helped us focus on something other than the music all night long.

The location Is perfect, super close to the city centre, restaurants and night life. The staff is incredibly nice, they greeted us with a smile, a welcome drink and a lot of useful info. They helped us with everything and they were always smiling. The room was bigger than we thought, with a nice balcony. We definitely recommend it and would go back when in Siem Reap.

L’accueil de cet hôtel est vraiment exceptionnel, le personnel est vraiment très sympathique. L’hôtel est idéalement situé en plein centre-ville. Certes, il n’y a pas de petit déjeuner ni piscine, mais leurs établissements partenaire le proposent et on peut y accéder! Les chambres sont de très bonne qualité spacieuse avec une très bonne climatisation. Le rapport qualite prix est excellent.

It was a lovely hotel and the staff couldn't have been more beautiful . The room had aircon. It was supper cosy , and it was central location. We had the best stay here and if we are lucky enough to come back we will stay here for sure . It waa opposite a school though and school starts at 7we are early risers so it wasn't an issue for us.

I loved my stay here so I ended up extending for a few more days. This hotel has the best staff any guest could wish for. They are so kind, welcoming, always smiling and happy. They are always there to assist you with anything. The hotel has everything you need with a comfortable bed and very clean and even free bicycles you can take out. I had an amazing two weeks here and would highly recommend staying here

The location was superb, a five minute walk to all the glitz of Pub Street yet located down a tiny side road which, for the crucial hours of 10pm-6am, was very quiet. What made my stay memorable again -- my second visit to Golden Butterfly -- was the staff. They really were superb, knowledgeable, friendly, always smiling, always helpful and always welcoming from a cold towel ready for me when I returned from a hot day exploring temples to advice on everything from early morning calls to transport. I also loved the little entryway water garden flanking a tiny bridge leading inside to the hotel foyer. It made waiting for my next tour guide to arrive a real pleasure because it was full of life from tiny fish to different birds and all in such a compact space. The bed in my room was so comfortable and there was masses of space from a large wardrobe with a dozen hangers to a long work surface to allow me to spread out everything from water and backpack to a change of clothes, tour instructions and leaflets and charging cables. It was easy to recharge my phone in my room and crucially the bathroom had a two pin razor point for shaving and worked perfectly. Top marks.

I have to include a noisy school opposite. It didn't bother me at all because lessons didn't start until 7am and I'm an early riser, but some may not like the sound of children. To Golden Butterfly's credit, there was a note waiting for me in my room when I arrived pointing out noise from the school which said that if it bothered me they would move me to a quiet room. It didn't and I stayed for 17 lovely nights. Just be aware of the option of a different quieter room and ask for it if you are bothered by the school. It shouldn't be a problem for anyone since any day with a tour -- of which there are many -- will generally require you to be in the foyer for pick-up by 7.40am so I was out grabbing breakfast at one of the many little nearby restaurants by 7am. It actually worked in my favour one morning when I forgot to set my phone alarm. First the school children woke me up and then staff rang me with an early call I'd arranged as back-up. Very efficient hotel.

I lowered the score only because the room didn't look like in pictures at all (king room with balcony). No TV and no money safe mentioned in description. Just an average room, nothing special. Nevertheless, it was quiet, comfortable and the staff was great.

My room at the east side of the hotel was very noisy at night because of a bar nearby. But when I told this to the staff, they talked to the bar to limit the noise and then offered me a new room

Très bien situé dans le centre-ville, à la fois proche des commerces et en retrait de la rue — donc au calme, l'hôtel allie un cadre chaleureux et traditionnel (bois massif et décorations) avec des équipements modernes. Chambre agréable et très propre. Lit dobule très confortable (avec une couette), petit balcon avec mobilier. La salle de bain est spacieuse et bien aménagée. Eau (très) chaude et bonne pression. Wi-Fi de bon débit, petit frigo et cafetière à disposition. Des vélos sont par ailleurs mis à disposition de manière gratuite à la réception. Le personnel (jeunes étudiants), est très bien éduqué. Outre le khmer et l'anglais, certains parlent même quelques mots de français. Comme bien souvent au Combodge, ils sont extrêmement souriants, symathiques et disponibles. Excellent contact. Très bien entretenu, cet hôtel a le charme de l'ancien et l'efficacité du nouveau. Aucun regret, sinon un séjour finalement trop court ! J'y reviendrai.

L'école primaire mitoyenne de l'hôtel peut être parfois un peu bruyante. Par ailleurs, suite au covid-19 puis au conflit avec la Thaïlande, l'hôtel a été contraint d'abandonner différents services (restauration entre autres) et gère les petits-déjeuners, la lessive et la location de scooters avec des partenaires. Rien de vraiment contraignant.

Nie rozumieliśmy systemu nauczania w szkole obok, bo drą się cały czas. Ale wiedzieliśmy o niej wcześniej, więc nie stanowiło to problemu, bo mieliśmy korki do uszu.

It is a very charming place, if I'm back in the area, I would definitely stay here again.

I was able to walk to some fantastic spots, the Spa for an amazing Thai Massage and a delicious halal restaurant.

On the next block was a very loud band that played late into the night.

特にありませんが、夜間はかなり若いスタッフさんなのか、トラブルへの臨機応変な対応は難しいのかなという印象でした。(ATMにカードが吸い込まれるトラブルがあり少しだけお話しました)また、部屋の鍵を外出時にはフロントに預けるのですが、返却時に言われた通りに渡していたので危険だなと思いました。

Very nice style and decor, lovely dark wood staircase, perfect location, very comfortable bed and super friendly staff. We enjoyed the balcony in the evening. The breakfast was not available at the hotel but we were offered breakfast in the sister business few steps away for £7 per person

A pochi minuti a piedi dai mercati e dai ristoranti, questa struttura nel cuore di Siem Reap ha superato di gran lunga le mie aspettative. Ogni dettaglio è curato con attenzione da uno staff eccellente, e la camera era impeccabilmente pulita. Dall’aperitivo di benvenuto all’asciugamano fresco e profumato per ogni rientro in hotel. L’hotel si trova vicino a una scuola, e lo staff si è premurato di scusarsi in anticipo per il possibile rumore durante le lezioni. In realtà non è stato affatto di disturbo; anzi, l’ho trovato un modo piacevolissimo per scoprire uno spaccato della quotidianità dei piccoli cambogiani. A completare un’esperienza già eccellente, il personale dell’hotel ha organizzato per me anche un tour dei templi con un autista straordinario, Mr Sambo. Quando tornerò a Siem Reap, alloggerò senz’altro qui al Golden Butterfly Villa

Best of all were the staff, the reception staff gave a 5* service. Friendly, helpful and professional. For the price we paid the hotel is very good value for money, well situated, attractive boutique hotel.

Some morning arrival time noise from the primary school next to the hotel, though this didn’t bother us, in fact we found it interesting and fun to watch the kids doing their morning drill.

No safe in the room. The hotel doesn't have an elevator. For noise-sensitive guests, it's hard to sleep because of a nightclub nearby. It's noisy at night.

ロケーションが最高、PUB Streetなどの市内中心部に徒歩で数分のアクセス、また近すぎても深夜までの喧騒がうるさすぎるが、適度な距離もあり快適な滞在だった。 またスタッフが大変親切で、チェックイン時から十分すぎる説明を行ってくれ、こちらからの要望で可能なものは必ず答えてくれたし、何もなくても困っていることは無いか聞いてくれた。スタッフのレベルは超一流ホテルに劣らないものだった。

部屋は決して新しいと言うものではなかったが、清潔に保たれていて毎日の清掃やタオル交換も料金内に含まれていた。

The room that I booked was on the 4th Floor, and there was no lift. The stairway was not aircon, and so i did not want to be walking up and down 4 flights of stairs all the time. They found a room for me on the second floor, but it was very small. Chair and desk were uncomfortable, and so I decided not to stay. But the hotel chose to keep the money I had paid for the room.
