Calm Waters Guesthouse

The room was so lovely with everything I could possibly need to feel at home. The location is perfect - close to a shopping center and to the Robert Nature Reserve. Kecia was such a wonderful host - she even offered to dry our clothes after we got caught in the rain. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend Calm Waters.

It's a very beautiful room with a balcony, it was such a pleasure staying there. There's a nice shopping mall right across the street which makes it super convenient

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft! Das Appartement ist modern, wunderschön eingerichtet und vor allem super sauber. Die Lage ist perfekt – ein Supermarkt ist direkt in der Nähe und auch die Robberg-Wanderung ist schnell erreichbar. Zum Nationalpark fährt man ca. 45 Minuten. Außerdem gibt es in nur etwa 10 Minuten mit dem Auto viele tolle Restaurants. Die Gastgeberin war einfach großartig – super lieb, herzlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation war total unkompliziert und dass sie sogar Deutsch spricht, war natürlich ein großes Plus. 😊 Wir haben uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt und würden definitiv wiederkommen. Klare Empfehlung! ❤️

Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war ein sehr herzliches Empfang mit einer netten Gastgeberin die uns sogar deutschsprachig empfangen hat. Die Lage war super. Wir haben uns sehr sicher gefühlt und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Es war nur wenige Kilometer vom Robberg Nature Reserve entfernt, der sehr empfehlenswert ist die Whitesand Wanderung war ein Traum.

There was a terrible storm and they went out of their way to get me in safe and dry - also helped with luggage. The storm caused a power cut in the morning but we were fine because of the solar and battery backup. Good all round :)

Wir hatten einen wirklich wunderschönen Aufenthalt und können die Unterkunft von Herzen weiterempfehlen 😊👍🏼 Die Besitzer sind unglaublich herzlich und offen – man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Kecia (die sogar Deutsch spricht) und ihr Mann haben uns nett empfangen und uns Tipps zur Umgebung gegeben. Das Haus selbst ist einfach traumhaft. Die Zimmer bzw. Apartments sind wunderschön eingerichtet und sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet. Alles ist ruhig, entspannt und man hat viel Privatsphäre – perfekt zum Abschalten. Wir hätten sehr gerne noch eine Nacht länger dort verbracht! Ein weiteres Highlight: die Nähe zum Robberg. Wir waren dort morgens wandern und können das absolut empfehlen – eine tolle Gegend für alle, die gerne draußen unterwegs sind. Kecia hat uns die 5KM Runde empfohlen- diese war wirklich toll! Gerne Schwimmsachen mitbringen 👍🏼 Insgesamt ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt – wir kommen definitiv gerne wieder!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit großem Pool Checkers ist fußläufig entfernt, man kann sich von dort sein Frühstück holen und es sich auf der Terrasse gemütlich machen. die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber die Betten sind bequem. Kacia, die Gastgeberin spricht perfekt Deutsch und ist unglaublich hilfsbereit und herzlich. wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Unterkunft zu 100 % weiterempfehlen

The owners were very accomodating and just lovely people. We had a really nice stay. The pool is perfect and the beach is very close (walkable distance). Also have to mention the sweetest dog.

Maybe aircon for the hotter nights, although the fan was also really nice, so no complaints.

Great location — very close to Robberg Nature Reserve, a nice beach, and a shopping centre. The hosts are very friendly and they live in the house providing good recommendations for where to eat and what to do in the area.

The listing states that the studio provides a washing machine, which was a key reason I booked it. However, there is no washing machine in the studio. Laundry can be done via a service for an extra 150 Rands per load. Our bedroom was right next to the another guest’s bathroom and the water pipes were extremely noisy.. every time someone used the shower or flushed the toilet it woke us up during the night.

Kecia and Lionel are such thoughtful and kind people. They go the extra step to accommodate guests and make them feel welcome. They offered excellent suggestions for ways to enjoy Plett. The location of their place allows for easy walking distance to the beach and then down the beach towards restaurants. It was a great way to deal with dinner and to walk it off on our way back! Also loved the Robbergs Nature Reserve! So glad we took Kecia’s advice on that.

Very clean and a very comfortable bed and good shower room. Great having the outside balcony to relax on for an early evening glass of wine. Some excellent vineyards to explore in the area and wonderful beaches . The owners are excellent and most pleasant and helpful.

We found the kitchenette a very small space and in particular the kitchen sink and the under counter fridge were too small to be practical for self catering. It would also be great to have a shade by the pool.

The apartment was well equipped and in a very good location for the beach, discovering Plettenburg and the surrounding area. We loved the terrace and swimming pool too. Kecia was very helpful on our arrival and during our stay.

Fijne, veilige plek! Vriendelijk ontvangst door de gastvrouw en ook veel tips gekregen. Mooie nette kamer — goed om te weten dat we een gedeeld terras hadden, geen privé terras, maar dat was voor ons geen probleem. Handig dat er een winkelcentrum om de hoek zit.

Geen tussentijdse schoonmaak of verse handdoeken (wij verbleven 5 nachten).

Sehr schönes individuell eingerichtetes Gästehaus! Supermarkt gleich nebenan. Zum Robberg ist es nicht weit zu fahren.

We loved everything about this place. Our room was super clean and beautifully decorated, and it had all the facilities we needed and more. Kecia was really friendly and it’s clear she really wants her guests to feel comfortable.

Sehr nette Gastgeber mit gutenTipps (Kecia spricht perfekt deutsch) Tolles Haus und schönes, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes kleines Apartment. Alles sehr sauber, bequeme Betten. Schöner großer Pool. Die Lage hat uns auch gefallen, Supermarkt gegenüber, Robberg Nature Reserve und Strand in der Nähe. Wir habeuns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Die Unterkunft befindet sich in der Naehe der Insel Robberg. Dort kann man sehr schoen wandern. Einkaufsmoeglichkeiten und Restaurants befinden sich in direkter Naehe.

Very sweet interior design, close to the main attractions and beach in plettenberg. The host is very nice and helped us with great ideas for our activity planning!

Ganz besonders die wunderschöne Einrichtung mit Original-Bildern. Sehr nette hilfsbereite Eigentümerin. Das Doppelbett war für mich sehr bequem.

Jalousie im Schlafzimmer hat leider nicht ganz die Helligkeit der Strassenlaterne überdeckt.

Die Besitzerin war super nett, hat sogar Deutsch mit uns gesprochen. Das Zimmer ist super schön, top eingerichtet mit allem was man braucht. Das Bett war sehr bequem und alles war sehr sauber. Bei dem Zimmer welches wir hatten konnte man einen Balkon nutzen, welchen man sich noch mit einem anderen Zimmer teilt, was aber vollkommen cool war. Hier hatte man einen einen Blick auf den sehr gepflegten Pool und Gartenbereich. Die Lage zum Robberg war top, auch den Strand konnte man zu Fuß erreichen, ebenso lag ein Supermarkt direkt ums Eck. Restaurants waren ca. 5-10 Minuten mit Auto zu erreichen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Une guest house charmante, bien localisé et bien équipée. Les hôtes habitent au rez de chausse et sont d'une grande gentilesse et d'une grande discretion. La chambre était belle et nous avions une terrasse privée. Déco soignée. Bref, nous avons adoré!

This is a beautiful home in a lovely setting, close to beaches and the Robberg Peninsula. The room was extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated with many small touches to make us feel at home. There is a lovely swimming pool with loungers to relax on, if you are not too busy exploring the many things Plettenberg Bay has to offer. The hosts had helpfully prepared a booklet with information on places to visit and eat. They were on hand to offer advice but never intrusive. We loved our stay here. We would give it more than 10/10 if we could!

I had the most pleasant four-night stay at Calm Waters Guesthouse. My hosts, Kecia and Lionel, were wonderfully welcoming and helpful. The room was everything I needed and more—extremely comfortable, beautifully appointed, and with thoughtful attention to every detail. The guesthouse is conveniently located opposite the Robberg Bay Shopping Centre and just a short walk from the beach. I am truly grateful to my gracious hosts for making my stay so memorable.

Kecia verwelkomde ons heel hartelijk, ze is supergastvrij! Heerlijk dat er ook een groot buitenterras is! We kregen op voorhand al heel wat tips over wat er te doen valt in Plettenberg Bay, welke restaurants lekker zijn enz… Kecia was ook steeds bereid om extra uitleg te geven! Heerlijk verblijf in een heel mooi ‘dorpie’! Een hike op de Robberg en een strandwandeling zijn echte aanraders!

Awesome experience. The area is clean, save, a supermarket nearby. The host is amazingly nice, she explained us everything we needed to know. She was always reachable, but we never had the feeling we needed to talk if we dont want to, so it was absolutely amazing stay no doubt we would book again!
