Reviewed Mar 6, 2026Een paradijs vanaf het moment dat je de tuin inrijdt. De tuin is zo smaakvol, kleurrijk en goed onderhouden je kijkt je ogen uit. Het hoofdhuis is prachtig ingericht en voelt letterlijk als een thuis. En Kathy de gastvrouw is een schat en heeft geweldige tips over hiken, restaurants, mooie winkels enz enz Kortom, een droomplek!

Reviewed Feb 22, 2026An absolute gem. We loved our 3 night stay here. We’d oped for the self catering accommodation and really appreciated the space. Cathy was an excellent hostess, her recommendations were all spot on. We loved Robberg 5 beach which is a show all away. We hiked the full Robberg Nature Reserve early and it was spectacular, also recommend the Harkerville Parkrun which is close by. The location couldn’t be better.

Reviewed Nov 10, 2025Wir hatten ein Apartment, das offenbar für Selbstversorger ausgelegt war - das kam bei der Buchung leider nicht klar heraus, es war aber kein Problem, vor Ort noch das Frühstück dazuzubuchen. (Dieses war reichhaltig und zu einem sehr fairen Preis). Kathy, die Managerin des Hauses, war einfach fantastisch!! Sie hat uns sowohl mit hervorragenden Empfehlungen betreffend Restaurants und Aktivitäten versorgt, als auch große Hilfestellung gegeben, was die für uns persönlich leider sehr unerfreuliche Situation mit den Hunden der Hausbesitzer betraf. THANK YOU, Kathy! You were a really wonderful host!
Auf Booking.com wird leider mit keinem Wort erwähnt, dass die Hausbesitzer mehrere Hunde haben. Dies ist nicht für jedermann eine angenehme Situation, zumal die Hunde auf dem gesamten Grundstück herumlaufen und man an ihnen nicht vorbeikommt. Der Kommentar des Hausbesitzers (wir haben sofort zu Beginn gesagt, dass mein Mann sehr starke Hundeangst hat) hat uns ziemlich geärgert: „naja, ihr müsst mit denen jetzt klarkommen, denn die wohnen hier!“… finden wir respektlos (wir waren sehr höflich und haben uns mehrmals entschuldigt, dass die Situation so ist, wie sie ist), und sehen wir nicht so! Immerhin sind wir zahlende Gäste. Hätten wir gewusst, dass es Hunde gibt, hätten wir hier nicht gebucht. Auch wenn das Haus selber (und der Garten!) wirklich schön sind!

It’s a bit of a walk into town but to be fair I knew that when I booked it and I like walking in any case.
