Trish was the best host! I travel a lot for work and this was the best accommodation I have ever stayed at. It was very homely and had absolutely everything i needed, and much much more! A home away from home. Central, and very safe and secure. Trish was lovely and had the best communication. I will definitely be staying there again when I am in Mount Maunganui. Thank you Trish! xx

Location was amazing. Very comfy and private, secure feeling.

Everything thing you need in a very comfortable home. The host was very generous with tea, coffee, cooking needs.

There was some construction happening on a home over the back fence, that caused some noise, but not uncommon for the Mount.

Lovely very well equipped cottage. Trish the host was very friendly and the cottage is beautifully put together with everything you might need.

Fully equipped kitchen and very comfy bed, private outside eating area and large sunny inside open plan room to relax in.

Everything was excellent, didn't want to leave.

The colour scheme, the use of spaces, comfort of the beds and linen, the amount of lounge and dinning seats, and overall comfort.

My partner, and another friend had the pleasure of staying at the Downtown Mount Cottage over Labour Weekend. It has everything you need for a relaxing holiday at the beach right down to beach towels. Beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is a good size, living room is relaxing with a large day bed down one side. Very clean and modern.Our host, Trish, is friendly and helpful and made sure our stay was good. I can't recommend this place enough.

We absolutely loved the property - secluded but central, relaxing and had every need catered for!! Trish has thought of literally everything you would never think you needed but actually did need!!!

The space was comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Being located at the back of the owner's property was incredibly convenient – they were readily available to answer any questions and ensure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!"

A bit pricey

This is a beautifully appointed, cute little cottage that has everything you need! The owner is very friendly and welcoming and had thoughtfully turned the heat pump on before we arrived. It’s in a great location within easy walking distance to the shops, cafes etc. The beds are super comfy and the kitchen is well stocked… loved the fresh flowers too! We like this place so much that this was our second stay and we would definitely book again.

Lovely home, everything you could wish for. Trish was lovely Loved being able to park off the road. Right in the Centre of everything.

A great find. Fabulous cottage - spacious, beautifully decorated, with everything we needed. The cottage is at the back of Trish’s house so away from the street and very quiet. We appreciated the off street parking. Trish was very welcoming. We very much enjoyed our stay and would love to come again.

We liked everything.

Property is in an excellent location, close to both Pilot Bay and the mount main shopping area. Very well equipped and comes with everything you need for your stay. Host is on site but not at all intrusive. Lots of little touches that made the stay special, like the chocolates on arrival and a real bottle of milk. Bedding and pillows were divine. Highly recommend staying here. Great value for money.

Need to advertise that access for disabled people is limited and is via 2 x sets of stairs. One of the single bed frames needs sorting out, squeaked every time someone moved.

Location was perfect, walking distance to everything at the Mount. The cottage was fantastic, exceptionally clean with all the modern amenities. Trish has done an amazing job making the cottage feel relaxed and welcoming.

Cottage was clean & location was awesome.

Property was great, keep in mind that the cottage is at the back of the main house with the only access through the side gate. Host was good but we were uncomfortable as the host walked straight into the cottage without knocking and walked around the house while we were checked in, felt uncomfortable until we checked out.

The cottage is wonderful; clean, spacious, incredibly well equipped and in a great location. The bed was so comfortable. Our host, Trish, was welcoming and there if we needed anything but never intrusive.

The property was beautiful. Well maintained both inside and outside, along with beautiful gardens as you walk in. Our host had thought of everything when it came to furnishing the property, even the very little things. The bed linen, the towels and the hand wash + moisturiser were my personal favs. The beds were comfy and our host was there as much or as little as we needed her. The property was also safe and secure. 10/10!

Great property, comfy beds, nice and clean and relaxing.

Our host, Patricia, met us with the key. She had turned on the heating, so that it was warm on arrival, and showed us around. The unit is comfortable and has a classic bach feel, but with modern facilities. I’d stay there again.

A heater in the bathroom for cool days would be nice. The streaming for all television stations sometimes overwhelms the internet connection . Otherwise, the unit is well equipped with thoughtful touches for the short term traveller.

Lovely cosy cottage with everything you need and lots of nice extra touches like chocolates and biscuits, and gorgeous toiletries. A very enjoyable stay, perfectly situated in close walking distance to the beach, cafes, walking tracks. would love to visit again ☺️

The cottage had a wonderful location, very close to the beach and not far from the town. Parking was easy within the property gate. We could see the bay from the bedroom window, and even saw a cruise ship arrive this morning. Our hostess met us at the allotted arrival time and guided us around the property, which had everything we needed. The decking area was a real sun trap, and brilliant for drying the washing! We had a lovely walk around the Mount, and for the more energetic or fit, the views from the top of the Mount would have been wonderful. Our walk around the suited us.

If I have to be picky, the stairs up and down to the cottage were a bit of a challenge with heavy luggage, but that would not put me off booking again.

Excellent location and a very welcoming host. Property exceeded my expectations and it was perfect for our needs. Mount Maunganui has a lot to offer and with the harbour, beach and shopping incl Bars, Restaurants, groceries all within easy walking distance it could not have been easier to park the car and relax. Definitely recommend and plan to return as I did not get time to maximise all the location had to offer.
