- Only option was a English breakfast. No dinner or lunch options etc. - Pool had a lot of cracks and was dirty - Electric failure from time to time. Lights and wifi were not working properly - You need a car or tuktuk, there is nothing there - Some guests were having a pool party until midnight - You have to ask for clean towels, housekeeping, clean te trash etc.

We had a wonderful and peaceful stay here. The facilities and staff were excellent, and everything was very well maintained. The room, bathroom, and pool were all clean and comfortable. The staff were also very kind and even helped us arrange a tuk-tuk when we needed it. Overall, it was such a lovely experience and we truly enjoyed our stay. The only small thing to note is that the location is a bit away from the city center, so you may need to arrange transportation to get around. However, the peaceful environment made it worth it. Highly recommended!

Set in beautiful location , lovely room with really nice pool and very well laid out , all you can hear is the wildlife around you , ideal relaxation for people that appreciate nature . All the staff and manager were very welcoming and we will definitely be back.

Une partie de l hôtel est en cours de construction et la partie ouverte ne semble pas terminée. Nous avons attendu tous les matins de notre séjour env 30 mn pour avoir un petit déjeuner assez basique (alors que nous étions les seuls clients à table). L hôtel est un peu excentré. Il vous faudra 1000 rps pour le rejoindre depuis Mirissa.

In unserem Zimmer war total viel Schimmel und auf unsere Beschwerde hat niemand reagiert, die Mitarbeiter haben nicht verstanden, was das Problem ist. Ich habe in den letzten 10 Jahren unzählige Zimmer auf Booking gebucht, aber sowas ist noch nie passiert. Die ganzen Wände waren voller Schimmel und man konnte kaum atmen. In Deutschland würde man wohl irgendein Aufsichtsamt informieren aber in Sri Lanka kann man nicht viel machen. Wir waren davor schon 2 Wochen in Sri Lanka und hatten immer Glück mit den Hotels. Dieses haben wir aufgrund der tollen Bewertungen gebucht. Vermutlich hatten wir einfach Pech dass genau in unserem Zimmer Schimmel war. Naja wir sind dann in ein anderes Hotel geflohen und auf den Storno Gebühren sitzen geblieben, aber lieber das als in einem Zimmer mit so viel schwarzen Schimmel zu bleiben.

Management and staff were extremely Friendly. Tuk tuk driver Sampath who was contactable at a moments notice to take us to mirissa and welligame beach , shopping etc daily was exceptional as resort is 8 minute from main areas in Marissa .

It was a bit away from the city center, but that actually made our stay more comfortable. Since we enjoy a peaceful environment, the location was ideal for us. It was amazing to see black monkeys, peacocks, and many birds. The pool was clean, the room was large, and the staff were very friendly.

It would be wonderful if they could arrange village tours, as it would be a great way to explore and experience the local village.

Personeel is super vriendelijk. Zwembad is lekker.

Op de plaatjes ziet het er mooier uit dan het is. Kamer was schoon maar lang niet geupdate.

Petit déjeuner décevant pour le prix demandé, toasts secs, œufs brouillés trop cuits et sans goût, café insipide. Chambre à 2 lits jumeaux : sommiers sales, très tachés, pas de fenêtre et située directement à côté de la réception. La vue sur jardin correspond plutôt à une vue sur les tuk-tuk des clients. À déplorer lors des absences du manager la difficulté à communiquer avec le personnel.

Er was een lekker zwembad, de kamers waren ruim en het personeel was lief en regelde ook een taxi voor ons wanneer het nodig was. De locatie is buiten Mirissa, maar je bent er met de tuktuk al snel!

Er zat een groene alg laag op je lichaam als je in het zwembad zwom + er waren meerdere kapotte tegels. Het glutenvrije ontbijt was summier. We zijn ook heel veel geprikt door muggen, want er was geen klamboe en het raam van de badkamer was open.

El alojamiento se encuentra ligeramente a las afueras de mirissa pero con transporte propio (alquilamos una moto para explorar la zona a nuestro aire) es ideal, si no se quiere o no se dispone de transporte propio no lo recomendaría tanto, pero sinó es ideal. El entorno selvático para llegar es una maravilla. La habitación está muy bien, directamente con salida a la picina, limpia y amplia. El manager muy atento a nosotros, todos muy buena honda.

Very beautiful property. Great to just get away and relax. Everything seems well maintained and cared for. The manger is really friendly and very flexible in accommodating requests.

The property is great for anyone with their own transport. For me, it was very distant. The staff are great at getting you a Tuktuk, who also charges fairly, but the reliance on that to get anywhere, made the stay more stressful than expected. I had room 4 facing the entrance of the property. That made it very loud at night, as you can hear the gate opening anytime anyone comes or leaves. They did offer me to move to another room though. The guests in the other rooms all reported their nights to be very quiet.

Het was een rustige plek met een fijn zwembad een heerlijke douche! De kamer was aangenaam fris en het terrasje dat uitkeek op het zwembad was ook een bonus.

Verbleven hier 4 nachten met kinderen van 3 en 4 jaar. Zwembad is heerlijk en heeft een ondieper kindergedeelte. Hotel ligt in een rustige groene omgeving, gunstig tussen Weligama en Mirissa in. Beide plaatsen hebben veel leuke ontbijttentjes en restaurants en bent er in 5-10minuten. Hebt hiervoor wel een Tuktuk of taxi nodig maar dat is zo geregeld en kost 2 a 3 euro. Zit een klein lokaal supermarktje aan de overkant op 1 minuut lopen, voor wat fruit, chips of ijsjes. De hotelmanager is zeer gemotiveerd om de gasten het naar hun zin te maken. Spreekt goed Engels en regelt tegen eerlijke prijzen toers of een taxi naar andere plaatsen. Airco in kamer werkte goed en lekkere warme douche.

Net als we overal in Sri Lanka hebben ervaren mag er meer tijd gestoken worden in het onderhoud van faciliteiten. Wanneer iets defect raakt, repareer of vervang het dan ook. Daar wordt iedereen blij van! Zorg voor wat klein speelgoed in de tuin en zwembad.

Big spacious rooms, clean pool

Minor repairs needed in the room but nothing that affect your stay anyway even as it is. Had a good comfy stay there and the hosts were very nice and respectful for the visitors.

La habitación súper amplia, camas cómodas. La zona de la piscina está bastante bien y que se pudiera salir directamente desde la habitación es muy práctico. La mejor ducha en 3 semanas: sin mojar el suelo y el agua caliente funcionando perfectamente.

I had a lovely stay at this guest house near Mirissa. The owners are kind and helpful, always ready to assist with anything I needed. The garden area with the pool area is beautiful and relaxing. The location is halfway between Mirissa and Weligama, making it easy to visit both places, and at the same time it's tucked away in a quiet area, far from the noise. Ideal for anyone looking for a peaceful and convenient base on the south coast.

Ubicación un poco alejada del centro pero con tuk tuk no hay problema. Fantástica piscina q viene genial despues de las rutas. Muy Buen desayuno y personal emcantador.

La piscina es una pasada. Es tranquilo y te facilitan todo. Alquilamos un moto que tienen allí y fué todo muy rápido.

Lo único que podría decir, es que entran bichitos por la ventana del lavabo.

Il y a eu une coupure d'eau, mais le personnel a rapidement réglé le problème. Il y a deux bâtisses. Le haut de la deuxième bâtisse n'est pas fini de construire.

Die Unterkunft ist deutlich gehobener und moderner als viele andere. Der Pool ist ein height auch wenn er nicht der größte oder tiefste ist. Was Zimmer war sauber und im Bad war ein sehr guter Wasserdruck mit Warmwasser. Wer etwas mehr Geld bezahlt, bekommt hier auch mehr geboten.

Wer ein eignes Auto / TukTuk besitzt ist hier auf jeden Fall Richtig. Ohne Fortbewegungsmittel ist der Weg bis ins Zentrum etwas weiter. Mit dem TukTuk ca. 10min. Für uns kein Problem gewesen.

El personal fue muy amable y predispuesto a ayudar con nuestra reserva. La piscina está muy limpia y es grande. El desayuno es bueno (fruta, tostadas, té/café, huevos, salchichas...). La habitación era amplia y estaba limpia. A 7 minutos en tuk-tuk de Mirissa Beach.

L'accueil du personnel, piscine très jolie. Cadre relaxant et dépaysant. Le tuktuk qui travail avec l'hôtel adorable ! Nous avons pu voir 3 singes, des paons, tortues et des écureuils. La petite bouteille d'eau sur la commode super.

2 petites serviettes de bain pour 4, emplacement un peu éloigné si on veux acheter de suite à boire ou à manger sinon 6min en tuktuk mais au moins c'est calme. Une coupure d'électricité pas très longue et une soirée plus de pression d'eau.

Bad maintenance of the pool area, hard beds.

Location was great for us, in between Mirissa and Weligama beaches. A little out but we had a moped so was only 10 mins to each. Pool was nice and cleaned daily. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Owner was very helpful and helped us to hire a moped and book a turtle snorkeling trip.. both at great prices compared to what was being offered in the town. Would definitely stay again

The staff was lovely and extremely helpful, the pool was a really nice touch and we could rent bycicles for free.

Lets start with the staff. They were amazing and very helpful, speaks very good english and fix everything if you needed. (Inc. Transfers that were very reasonable price.) Room was clean, bed was comfy. There were A/C that works most of the time. Toilet was big, clean and shower was good. Poolarea was great. Big clean pool with sunbeds. Just be careful at the pool area. When pool area gets wet it is very slippery. Sunbeds were outdated but they work so nothing to complain about that. We haven't problem to get ones when we needed but maybe couple of sunbeds more would be useful. Breakfast was good and basic. Hotel is little bit far away from Mirissa. So you need to rent scooter/tuktuk by yourself or take tuktuk with driver. No any soundproofing so you really hear all the lovely noicy bird sounds to your room early morning. But no traffic or bar music sounds. Hotel has 4 little turtles backyard. They were lovely. Only thing we were missing in the room was some kind of mosquito net. (We get eaten pretty much.) And some little fridge would be nice. (We luckily get permission to keep our drinks at their fridge near their kitchen so that was ok too!) Otherwise we think this is worth of the money and we loved to stay here 3 nights when we stayed at Mirissa!

Property was really nice and great hosts that went the extra mile , it is situated a bit away from the beach but this was perfect as it was quiet and the hosts helped us with tuk tuk rides to wherever we needed as well as giving recommendations and helping in every way we needed , really recommend this property will definitely return

The owner was lovely, we got to use the BBQ and kitchen. Nice quiet little villa just what we needed after being in hostels. Good price aswell. People working here were polite and friendly.

Quiet area away from main road & city & shops. Hosts were good. Nice clean pool right outside the room. Room spacious. Tea making facilities and fridge. Breakfast was ok. Beach was a bit far. Need car or transport to get there but it’s a lovely beach. Quite lively and busy. Bars restaurants and reasonable priced massage on beach.

Room was quite basic. Towels a bit worn out. No toiletries given except a bar of soap for basin. Quite far from main shops and restaurants so you would need own transport / taxi to go out. We had hot water in the evening when we checked in but no hot water in morning. Could not find anyone in reception or anywhere in building to ask about it. Finally we had to call them on phone and someone came down to fix it. Took a while but they managed to do it. Lots of mosquitoes at night. No mosquito net on bed. Overall ok for 1 night stay

The garden area was very tranquil, loved the greenery and a generous pool, also liked to see the peacocks and monkeys. The room was a good size with a comfy bed and breakfast was very good. It was 2.6 km to the beach, we knew that when we booked it, but the manager was able to organise a Tuk Tuk for us whatever time we wanted ie 6am for whale watching and late evening for pizza pick up. Everything here was perfect 🤩

The construction was incomplete in several areas. The staff did not understand English, and it was difficult to communicate with them. However, the property was comfortable.

As a female solo traveller I felt entirely unsafe at this property. I arrived at night and was shown to a room (one that I obviously had not booked) and questioned the guy that showed me to the room. He said that the room I had booked was not available yet so I would have to stay in this room until it was available - this ended up being the next evening. Shortly after I was shown to the room I decided to shower and found the bathroom window wide open and could hear two men right under the window which could’ve just been a coincidence but still made me feel uneasy as the window would not properly close and could be opened from the outside. Furthermore, whilst I was in the shower the man that showed me to the room was continually banging on the bedroom door for almost the whole duration of my shower. It stopped just as I turned the shower off and then 5 minutes later as I was changing it started again so I half opened the door to see who it was and the man barged into my room muttering some things and placed a drink on the bedside table and then looked me up and down and walked back out. The following evening I was moved into my new room and it was absolutely filthy. The sheets were covered in marks, there was hair all over the bed, the bathroom smelled foul, the window in this bathroom did not shut either and could be opened from a garage behind the room and the bathroom was also absolutely filthy. My door was also basically in the reception area which made me feel quite unsafe considering how the staff seemed to be reacting to me the previous night. Finally on my last night, according to booking.com, this hotel has a restaurant. It in fact does not have a restaurant of any kind and when I asked the staff about it, they said they had never had a restaurant. I asked if there was a way I could order food or get something near by as I didn’t want to have to pay to get into mirissa again (another downside of staying at this place that I will discuss later).

The hospitality shown from the owner and the staff were very friendly. The food was excellent and tasty. They give a good portion and value for money and with various foods. The food was warm and fresh. Especially want to say the staff let us take our time for the check out and they were not the time watchers.We recommend this place for the every one and planning to visit the location very soon.Sorry, I forgot the names of the owner and staff members. Absolutely everything. Location is in quite zone so don't worry about noise during night - you can enjoy sounds of nature. It was around 7 minutes from city center. Property was perfectly clean and we really enjoyed the big swimming pool. You step out from room and can literally jump in to the pool. Property has a private driver which was available on whatsapp and can give you ride for better price rather than if you look for driver on the street. Big thanks to the owner, his assistant and to the stuff. They were very friendly and professional, each time we asked for something they helped us - a lot. Advice for future visitors: when looking for hotel in Mirrisa, avoid crowded hotels which are situated on the beach, their pools were too crowded and full of screaming children. We were very glad that we chose Lavendra Villa.

Loved it here. We were celebrating our 11th anniversary so decided to go somewhere nice for it. The pool and bedrooms were lovely. Loved how we were surrounded with nature and was quiet from the town. Bedrooms were comfortable and clean and the shower was hot! We used the kitchen which was great as we didn't need to go to restaurant for every meal. We ended up staying an extra night. The people are lovely and helpful. They rented a bike at cheaper rate which was super helpful. The area is so pretty. Thankyou

We booked very spontaneously (the same day) and the owner was very quick to arrange everything. They cleaned the swimming pool for us (it was not the season), gave us some fresh coconuts, and arranged tuktuk. All in all, was a very good stay.

There were no bed covers, sadly, we realised it too late and didn’t manage to ask.
