Perfect rustic cabana with ocean view. ..

Unser Aufenthalt auf Delft war wunderbar. Die selbst gebauten Hütten sind in ihrer Art einzigartig und die Lage ist unschlagbar. Man hat direkt aus der Hütte Meerblick und kann direkt vom Grundstück aus Baden gehen. Sie sind schlicht aber bieten alles, was man braucht. Wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier richtig. Cony war ein wundervoller Gastgeber. Er stand jederzeit für Fragen zur Verfügung, hat uns Saft und Tee gemacht. Wir haben vor Ort zu Abend gegessen und auch Frühstück über die Unterkunft bezogen. Beides war super lecker und authentische tamilische Küche. Die Preise fürs Essen waren mehr als fair. Am nächsten Tag haben wir mit Cony die TukTuk-Fahrt zur Erkundung der Insel gemacht. Er weiß super viel über die Insel, die Tiere und ihre Geschichte, was total interessant war. Ein weiteres Highlight waren die Outdoor-Toilette und -Dusche. Vielen Dank, Cony, dass wir eine Nacht bei dir verbringen durften. Länger wäre auch schön gewesen.

Peaceful bungalow on this beautiful island. The outdoor bathrooms were very cool and made for a fun camping experience! (There is an indoor one too) The beach access was a nice addition. We had crab curry for dinner that was delicious! You can see many stars at night. It was nice being up high with a good breeze and a tiny balcony to see the ocean. We loved the walk from the port (about 45min walk) but you can also get a tuktuk. There’s also bikes to use to go into town.

Tutto! Dalla casa all'area naturale intorno, passando per la spiaggia, gli animali e il cibo, tutto è perfetto, un vero paradiso che fa bene al corpo e alla mente. Cony è una persona simpatica, gentile ed è un vero piacere chiacchierare con lui. Alloggiate qui e tornerete a casa arricchiti!

Cony is the kindest host and works so hard to make this place an absolutely idyllic stay. And it really is. He also gives great tours around the island in a Tuk Tuk to show the wild horses, huge baobab tree (honestly sooo worth a visit, I still can‘t believe just how big it was!) and lots of other places. He’s not only a great guide but also great to just chat to about anything. His mum cooks amazing dinner and breakfast if you want. The food was delicious! The huts are so comfortable- you get a breeze come in at all times from the sea so you have no reason to worry that you‘d be too hot. The mattress is super comfy and there‘s a mosquito net in case you need it (I didn’t actually see any mosquitoes so not sure it is needed but I did use it anyway). I love love love the outdoor bathroom. But there is also a modern indoor one which I used at nighttime. Cony‘s plans for this place are lovely - he‘s working tirelessly to keep adding to it and he can be so proud of what he has achieved. I have to say I feel incredibly thankful for having experienced as it is now - I just love the simplicity but comfort he has created. I planned to stay one night but stayed three. I saw some other reviews that stated the same so I think it‘s a theme! So if you aren’t in a rush I recommend you give yourself room to extend your stay as you will regret not being able to stay longer. It‘s not for people who want luxury but for the type of traveller who wants to experience something real. Btw the shower water is fresh and not salty - which is a real treat if you know that every other place on the island only has salty water to shower.

Magical experience at Delft Jungle Beachfront Villa. Our young host was very kind and helpful, always attentive to our needs. The blue crab dinner prepared by his mother was truly delicious, authentic and heartfelt — a family experience we will never forget. The place itself is magical, in direct contact with the wild nature of Delft Island. Perfect for those seeking peace, authenticity, and a chance to experience Delft far from mass tourism. The included bicycles allowed us to explore the island freely — wild horses, the giant baobab, the Dutch fort. Highly recommended for travelers who want the most authentic experience of northern Sri Lanka. Thank you from the heart!

Wow! We had an amazing stay at cony’s place . Cony was an amazing host and made us feel very welcome. Such a lovely place — the cabins have direct access to the beach, which made the experience even more special. The food was delicious, and the people were very kind and friendly. Waking up in the morning to the sound of birds and the sea was so peaceful and relaxing. Cony, we will definitely come again! And congratulations on your future plans — wishing you great success.

Cony ist ein toller Gastgeber der alles unternimmt um seinen Gästen eine wunderbare Zeit zu ermöglichen. Er hat uns mit dem Tuktuk die Insel gezeigt und war jederzeit bei Wünschen verfügbar. Das Morgen- und Abendessen war fantastisch und entsprechend der Unterkunftslage, meeresfrisch. Wir können die Beachfront Villa als einfache und sehr ruhige Übernachtungsmöglichkeit wärmstens empfehlen.

Leider war der Strand stark mit kleinem Plastik verschmutzt, was aber vermutlich auf die Havarie eines Transportschiffes vor einiger Zeit zurück zu führen ist. Eigentlich sollte dies nach Auskunft von Cony von Lokalbehörden gesäubert werden, was leider auf sich warten lässt. Cony gibt sich alle erdenkliche Mühe dies in seinem Strandabschnitt zu verbessern.

A cozy and quiet place to chill and rest. Right next to beach, in front of sea view. Bicycle is offered for free riding. Houses were built up with thoughtful ideas. Cony is friendly and helpful host. It was a pleasant stay.

Il posto è stupendo per chi ama rilassarsi in tranquillità, praticamente sulla spiaggia. Cony il proprietario è una persona gentilissima, si mette subito a disposizione. Mi ha preparato una cena deliziosa con granchio e curry,Consiglio vivamente. Qualità e prezzo ottimi.

It's definitely rustic, which I loved, but if you want an actual bed (rather than a mattress under a mozzie net) that's not up a ladder, maybe this isn't for you. Likewise if you insist upon say a roof on your shower or toilet (wuss). It does have all the mod cons (if not air con - it's a beach hut on stilts ok?) - power, lights, a fan and WiFi - as huts go this is luxury! And the food was delicious. The room is a few netted mattresses, one lockable cupboard and some hooks - ooh and a balcony. Basic but all necessities covered

Charmante cabane avec tout le nécessaire (linge de lit, moustiquaire…). Possibilité de dîner et de prendre le petit déjeuner sur place. Toilette et douche partagées et propres. Le tour de l’île en tuk tuk était très intéressant, bien expliqué par le propriétaire qui répondra à toutes vos attentes et vos questions ! Excellent rapport qualité prix !

We loved our stay at the Delft Jungle Beachfront Villa. The cabins are basic but clearly made with a lot of love, and include many little features that makes them quite comfy. Direct access to the beach and the see and the food provided was also great.

Fantastic stay, the bungalows are right on the beach, they are basic but super comfortable with all you need. Conny the owner is super hospitable and very helpful. I had an extremely relaxing and tranquil stay and I highly recommend it

Cony was exceptionally hospitable - the place is gorgeous and so peaceful by the sea. It's basic, rustic and simple, that's what we loved. With delicious food and warm hospitality - the open air washing facilities are a treat. Sea is full of coral so take some swimming shoes and come prepared for quiet time. Also.. I think Cony would benefit from some volunteers to help with the beach clean & building!

Esperienza super consigliata se volete rilassarvi e godervi la natura, l’host è molto disponibile e la capanna è veramente molto accogliente, senza considerare l’accesso diretto alla spiaggia! Amazing location. So nice to be staying in such unique accommodation. Cony our host was wonderful & ensured we had everything we needed. A truly magical place, ideal if you want to really get back to nature. The best place we have stayed so far in Sri Lanka.

We werden warm ontvangen door Cony. Voorafgaand kregen we informatie over de vertrektijden van de boten en wat info over het eiland. Het huisje lag op een rustig stuk, met een privé strandje. ‘s avonds hoorde wel alleen het geluid van de vogels, heel rustgevend. Cony sprak vloeiend Engels en was enorm vriendelijk en maakte een heerlijke maaltijd klaar. Aanrader 🫶🏻

Lovely place, I liked it so much I extended my stay. Very peaceful place to come to unwind. Cony is an excellent host and great to chat to. The food is really tasty. Private beach is beautiful and it's a short bike ride from the village. Sunset boat trip is also fab.

Love, love, love this place!! I cannot recommend it highly enough. Don’t hesitate to book - I recommend at least two nights. It was my favourite stay after 7 weeks in Sri Lanka. Cony is the best and most trustworthy host you can imagine. The huts are just wonderful. Big and breezy with views of the water, comfortable place to sit, fam, security locker (not that you need it, it’s so safe) and mosquito net. Cony is also building a beachfront cafe that should be open soon with lots of other exciting plans for the future. The food was also delicious, especially the crab curry!! He also rents bikes and knows everything about the island, its attractions, transport etc.

It was magnificent, such a beautiful and clean place. I extended and would have love to stay for ever. There are many birds, the beach is very close and the food made by the owner is fantastic. Thanks again for the hospitality and also the good communication how to get there and back!!!

Three rustic cabins made with love. Located by a coral beach, surrounded by palm trees and the sound of the wind, this is the perfect spot if you're looking for peace and beauty. We had delicious dinner and breakfast, cooked by the host family, and enjoyed the shower under the tree! If you love nature, don't miss this little, rustic paradise!

We had the place for ourselves and loved it, we felt isolated from the rest of the world but the host was still available any time.

Very nice stay, the host was super helpful. Very nice accomodation. Bed was comfy. He made a dinner for us, it was delicious. We rented a bikes also to discover all island.

A very nice Eco-friendly concept consisting of 3 bungalows with a hamock and a sitting area below and a room upstairs where you can decide to either close them at night or keep them open air to enjoy the nice breeze ..you Aldo have a good en fourniture where you can lock your belongings ànd a fan ..share bathroom and toilet at the entrance of the property The place is run by Cony, a very smart guy who understand perfectly sustanability and who is willing to keep a low impact on the environment Great wifi , excellent tuk tuk service for transfers from or to the harbour and flr sightseeîng (Best done immediately when you arrive in Delft so you can relax after that at the beachfront ) Good dinner

Everything was perfect

Everything at the beachfront villa was well thought out. Location is perfect for a quiet and relaxing time. Conny and his family were incredibly hospitable.

The place is just paradise. We're surrounded by nature, trees and a direct view upon the sea. Every morning the alarm is just the sound of birds, that's amazing! Cony is super available and you can ask anything he will help you and he knows perfectly the island.

As we are far from everything we're dependent for eating and moving along the Island, so that's something to have in mind (prices of the meals and tuktuk tour - excellent though) maybe I would have liked more quantity... But the quality was there as it is local and delicious!!

Delft beachfront Villa is a perfect spot to relax for a while and to enjoy the quietness on the island. The accommodation is directly at the beach (there’s no proper swimming possible though). Cony and his brother are super friendly hosts, they can tell a lot about the island and make sure that everything is perfect for their guests. The food they provide is excellent and the huts we stayed in were great with ocean view and the breeze - without any mosquitos! I highly recommend :))
